King cards rules; what rules do the kings have?

Hey guys does anyone know the king cards special rule for playing them? thx for any help.

Yeah, you start w/ all 4 pieces when the game starts and you can't play any more characters to your sideline. When a king takes 3 points of damage, you select and remove one of the 4 pieces. when a king has 12 points of damage, you lose. a king counts as one fighter, so when you remove a piece, that match continues until you ko one of your opponents fighters. Also, you cannot regain king pieces discarded due to damage by healing, although you can still heal damage just like you would any other fighter. also, kings gain the team bonus that matches their team symbol.

Also, don't you lose the powers on the cards that go to the winner's circle? Or do you keep them? I never quite understood that part.
