This may be a stupid question but I'll ask anyway. I understand that really good team kurama decks can be made, but how exactly does the bonus help? Aside from other support cards that work with the team, the bonus itself seems a little weak to me since you could have 3 team kurama members and two members of another team and have both bonuses, yet it would be just as easy to have three members of the other team and forgoe a kurama team bonus

Works with Blue(?) Seal really well, especially Kings. There's also Heroes United, and Team Kurama's Support. They have some major draw power, which is why the center of attention is on Team Kurama. The draw power is key.

Yeah it's basically the same with Team Raizen. The bonus isn't all that useful but the draw power can be crazy.

And yes, blue seal is the one.

There are two major things that make Kurama arguably the best team in the game.

The first is Kurama, Loving Friend. This character give one of your characters a second team symbol. So, once you take your first draw step, you will have 2 team bonuses. Usually this second team bonus is Raizen's Alliance because of Yusuke, Champion of the People and how broken retarded he is.

The second is the card support for team Kurama is insane. Team Kurama's Support cost 0 Spirit Energy and draws you 2 cards for each team bonus you have. Which right out of the gate will be 2, for a total of 4 cards drawn without any extra effort. This is the most efficient card draw in the game. Heroes United just gives you an extra team bonus of your choice for the match for 2 Spirit Energy. And on top of the there is a card called Kurama's Determination. This card lets you tutor for any card that has the word "Kurama," "Yoko," etc. in the text box and play it without paying spirit energy cost.

A typical opening play for this team is you have Yusuke, CotP first. Gain Raizen's Alliance team bonus. Play Kurama's Determination or Influence to find Kurama's Determination. Search for Heroes United, gain a third team bonus (usually Genkai for their card support). Use Yusuke, CotP's effect to play Kurama's Determination from the discard pile. Search and play Team Kurama's Support. Draw 6 cards. From this point it's over. They spent 1 card and 0-1 spirit energy and gained 6 cards.

Only Team Kurama can do this. No other team comes close to the amount of card advantage that Team Kurama gets for basically free.
