"Yeah..." Kitara laughed along with Orrin a bit awkwardly, not quite sure as to how long she should laugh or how hard she should. She hadn't found her comment that funny, really, and didn't quite see how the shaman could. It was a genuine question, after all. She hadn't meant to make her laugh.

"That would be funny." The cub said, jumping up onto a nearby branch walking across it with wavering balance. "The shamaness dying from sickness. I mean, aren't you supposed to heal?" She didn't quite see how a lion, who's job was just that, could die of sickness.

Kitara jumped back down from the branch, planting her back legs into the tree. She sat down, flattening her ears against her skull in annoyance. "I am calm." She tried to say, although her flicking tail said otherwise. When the lioness mentioned sleeping, though, a yawn immediately came to Kita's face. She let it go, her teeth briefly showing before she closed up her mouth. She sunk down a little bit farther, still trying to figure out how to be 'at peace.' So far, it wasn't working for her.

She didn't push the shaman any farther on the drought thing. From the shifts in her voice, Kita could tell that she was sad, and that the conversation wasn't going to go anywhere exciting. What she said made sense, though. Who in the pride would ever want to believe that a time of drought would come? Especially when the lands looked like they did today, as if they'd stay that way forever.

Orrin shook her head."Don't worry about my past."She told the cub."It's long gone and no longer relevant."She looked up at the gourds softly clicking against one another in the soft breeze.

"I'd nearly forgotten."She smiled, padding over to where she had a large pile of gourds set aside."You wanted to make your mark upon the tree."She picked up a gourd in her mouth and, with a crunching sound, broke it in half. She lifted the top half away with her mouth and spat it out."There you are."

The cub easily bounced along with Orrin, placing her front two paws up near the lioness's shoulder in an attempt to get a better look. She couldn't quite see, though, with her legs only stretching up to the shaman's upper portion of the leg...

Kitara dropped down, squeezing between the shaman's legs just in time to see the fruit cracked open. She glanced up at Orrin, her neck bending back to look at the lioness.

"But I can't draw." She squeaked out, shamefully remembering the last time she'd attempted to scratch something out in the ground. It hadn't ended well, to say the least.
