Airya had begun her climb back down the mountains already spotting Tembo nearby where the supposed cubs of Neema and Koa where. She had suspected that they would be back up at the dens with the other lions. It was somewhat confusing to her why they'd be alone down here. However, the tan lion decided that it was best to investigate herself to fiind out what was taking the elephent so long. "Tembo, is everything alright?" She asked though she picked up the scent of the young cubs. So she was correct the two were not Neema and Koa, but to other cubs that may have wondered through here. This time she was at least free from carrying the meat so the trekk back down was not near as difficult as last time. |

Uploaded a sketch of a scene in the previous page! Firo gazed at Tembo as he spoke. An elephant living with the lions. How interesting. He wondered what it'd be like if the Tawis had an elephant. The cub twitched his ear when Tembo referred to him and Vivu as brothers, a clue to others who were observant enough to wonder at the involuntary action. Vivu went with the flow and continued their pretenece as brothers. 'Yes, my brother and I are just passing by,' Firo added. 'If you can kindly let us go and not eat us, we will be grateful.' At that moment, the lioness who had been carrying the prey returned. Firo stared at her suspiciously, wondering if this Majabalian was hostile. |

"And why where you two cubs voyaging in the night, might I ask?" The elephant asked, leaning his head town to be a little bit more eye level with the cubs. It didn't work as well as he would have liked, though. He couldn't quite get his head all the way down there without getting on his knees or even lying down. He paused for a moment or two, letting the two cubs think over their answer. He withdrew his head also, letting it return to its normal high spot. "Eh, don't worry about it." He finally said, waving the idea away with his trunk. "What does it matter to me. I'm just excited to see a few cubs here for once! The two here can get quite lonely sometimes. In fact, I might take you to meet them! Wouldn't that be a fun surprise for the prince...well, actually I would think that Neema would be much happier to meet you two, but who cares! I'm just glad to see you two." He briefly paused, one of his ears craning in the direction of Airya. He put his trunk up to his ear, almost as if he was cupping his hand to hear better. "Yes! Everything's great, actually! We've got a couple of visitors down here. Lost cubs." He glanced back down at Firo, who'd been fairly silent for the past moment. "If you two are lost, why don't you stay for a little bit? I doubt you'd get too much farther in this darkness. I know I can't see that well in this, and I'm sure that you won't be able to find your way home in this, either." |

Vivu immediately looked towards Firo "What say you, brother?" personally, Vivu didn't mind it. It was just another opportunity to have a more hands on approach with the Majabalian pride to him. He figured if an elephant such as Tembo could live amongst them peacefully, then surely they would allow two foreign cubs to stay one night. In fact, Vivu was hoping Firo would accept the offer. Vivu found this whole ordeal very exciting, this was the most adventurous/adven-churous Vivu had ever been. It was then that Vivu got a look at Airya. As Vivu's eyes made out her features, the one thing that stood out to him was the bloodstains still smeared all over her fur from the kill. Vivu quickly turned his focus on something else. Looking at her got him thinking about a certain lioness, one that died because of him. It also got him thinking about the Griffon of the Desert, and how many blood soaked corpses he tore into in his tenure. Though Vivu was able to avoid delving into that dark corner of his mind, he knew he was going to have to confront that sooner or later... |

Two lost cubs, that explained a bit as she watched the others, she was still very high up but she could see quiet a bit from where she was. Though Tembo's big body had taken up quiet a room the cubs were almost unseeable. "Well they can dine and sleep with us tonight if they wish." She said watching the three as they spoke. She was already a considerable way up but Airya didn't mind it, if she helped aid to young cubs for the night. If her ears were correct Tembo didn't seem to afraid of introducing her cub and her cousin that were living with them. True they could be lonely from time to time here, but they always seemed to be together like best friends. Airya sighed softly remembering her brother, something that she didn't exactly call rememberable.... |

Firo suddenly found that all eyes were on him. He was feeling conflicted. The cub had heard stories about the Majabalian clan. They were vicious. Not at all friendly like he had invisioned them to be. Yet here they were, extending their hospitality towards two strange trespassing cubs. He looked at Vivu, who seemed eager to join them for the night. The cub stepped in closer to his 'brother'. 'You don't think they'd just do us in while we sleep tonight?' he asked, eying the tall elephant as if hoping that he would not hear him if he whispered very quietly. The lioness stood just behind the elephant. Their story about the two cubs sound believable. But what if it wasn't? Were they to die here tonight? 'And, well, and would you let us go in the morning unharmed?' Firo asked boldly, directing the question to Tembo. ooc: have they introduced each other yet? |

OOC: I don't believe we have... Vivu looked at Firo in through the corner of his peripherals. In his glint was a strange essence, one that assured him that they wouldn't do such a thing. Firo's question brought up an amusing irony to him. He, a buzzard lion, killed in his sleep? Such behavior seemed unusual for lions, outside of himself... and even then he probably wouldn't do that. He had his doubts that they would gain anything from killing two cubs that haven't done anything detrimental to them. In short, Vivu felt that Firo was overreacting. However, if the two were trying to murder them in their sleep, which made no sense to Vivu due to there being no payoff; he highly doubted that an elephant of all creatures would be stealthy enough to pull of such a task. They'd hear him coming long before he'd have the chance to strike. Granted, Vivu was more than a little wary of their surroundings, but his curiosity outweighed his fear. |

Tembo watched the two tiny cubs carefully, squinting his eyes slightly to get a better look at the two. They were so far down there, and it was so dark out that he was having a bit of trouble deciphering their expressions. At this point, all he could see was two fuzzy blobs...From what he could tell, they seemed to be discussing whether or not they should stay. He picked up his ears slightly, letting their voices easily float in. Yep, he'd been right. The two, or at least the one, was set on the idea that the Majabalians were out to get them. "Wer're not going to hurt you, so relax!" Tembo said cheerfully, eager to convey just how happy he was to have found these two. "You heard Airya over here. She said you two could have a little something to eat and stay the night! I can show you to where most of the lions sleep, although if you're too uncomfortable with that, I can point out another spot to you--It's still close to the rest of them, but I'm sure you'll like it nonetheless!" Tembo said, rambling a little bit. "And yes," He sighed, "we would let you go in the morning completely unharmed. Why wouldn't we? You two are just lost, after all, and we wouldn't just chase you away from here, especially in the dark like this." He laughed a little bit, glancing back down to double check that the cubs hadn't run off on him while he was talking. It wouldn't have been the first time that happened to him. "So, come on with me,---" he broke off, ready to fill in the blank with their names. Too bad he didn't know them. "Ah, what are your names again?" He looked down, scratching his chin with his trunk, as if he was attempting to remember them. |

Airya was still watching the large elephant that had pestered her earlier, she still couldn't see the cubs. Maybe they were hidden behind the large elephant's body and they were just that small. Well she knew how small cubs got, it was obvious since she had her own. Though she was sure she could hear Tembo asking them to come along, assuring that they would not harm them. Of course not, they had been in peace with the pride rock members, if that's where they belonged, for years. The Majabalian clan wouldn't harm those members, and would gladly accept any loner that came through their lands, not without their explination first. 'What's taking him so long." She thought. Oh now she was worried about Tembo, who had pestered her moments ago.... |

Firo looked at Vivu again. Well, everyone seems happy with sleeping with the mountain lions for a night. Who was he to disagree? And what would the other Tawi cubs say if they found out he chickened out like this? Oh he would return with such a story. The cub grinned at the thought. '...Firo,..and Vivu,' he answered Tembo, gestering to his friend. 'And we'd love to stay with you for the night. Er...thanks.' The golden cub climbed up onto a boulder to be at eye level with the elephant. He wanted to see this big animal from up close, now that he got the feeling that he was not hostile. 'Gosh you're big, sir.' |

Vivu made his way towards the two, his long limbs allowing him to make his way up the boulder with minimal effort. This whole situation was almost too good to be true. To Vivu, this is what it meant to be free. To have a friend by your side, and a whole world to explore. He couldn't wait to see who else was in the Majabalian tribe. He was eager to see if Majabalian lions were like they were described by the vultures, and if the cubs were anything like his brother, Firo. |

At last Airya felt relief come to her, she could see Tembo starting to head towards the Dens where she was waiting for them. The young cubs were certainly not Neema and Koa but other cubs. They looked like they had been from the Pridelands, her guess was. But they seemed to be curious as well at what the Majabalian pride had in store for them. Finally when they were close enough in range Airya spoke up, introducing herself, "My name is Airya, I am the Lead Huntress of the Majabalian, the one who was with Tembo earlier." She said with a soft look back over to the elephant. |

"Well, hello to you too, Firo and Vivu." Tembo boomed. He wasn't worried about keeping quiet anymore. The elephant doubted that he'd scare the two cubs now after all they'd been through that night. The cub had jumped onto a nearby rock. After a few moments of scrambling, he'd managed to pull himself up and onto a boulder. The elephant raised his head, glad to not have to look down for a brief time. Soon enough, the cub's brother joined him on the rock. Now there were two miniature lions staring him in the eyes. Airya had come closer, introducing the two of them. "Yep!" He nodded enthusiastically in agreement. "I'm Tembo, and I'm an elephant." He paused, tilting his head as a thought crossed his mind. "Hey, how would you two like a ride back to the pride? You can hop up on my back if you'd like." He offered, gesturing with his trunk to his back. The two were close enough and high enough that it wouldn't be a problem at all for them to jump up. (Sooo sorry for lateness!) |

Firo gazed at the lioness and smiled in greeting. 'Hello Airya, ma'am,' he said, 'it's nice to meet you.' But once the greeting was over, his interest quickly returned to the elephant who had just offered them a ride! 'Wow! Really? That will be awesome, sir!' The cub clambered up Tembo's trunk and scrambled his way over his rough skin. It was an odd texture, rough and hard to the feel. But he could feel the warmth through it. When Firo reached his crown (after a near miss where Firo's hind leg nearly stuck into Tembo's eye), he stood looking out the horizon. It was quite dark already so there was not much to see. Yet, he could feel just how tall Tembo really was. And the elephant hadn't even straightened up yet. The cub looked down at his friend. 'Are you coming up, Vivu?' |

Vivu responded with an eager nod and made his way towards Tembo's trunk. The opportunity to ride on an elephant's back was once in a lifetime, and the feeling of being so high up would surely be reminiscent of being lifted by vultures. Vivu's long limbs made his way up the trunk, taking his time to acknowledge the feel of Tembo's trunk. 'Such rough skin...' thought the cub. Vivu couldn't help but wonder just how long it would take a vulture to break through an elephant's skin. However, now was not the time for such thoughts, so Vivu merely put that aside. As the buzzard lion made his way to the top of Tembo, he placed a paw on Firo's side for support, just so he could find his balance. Fortunately, his constant perching with vultures made it easier for him to balance on rough surfaces. Quickly, he acclimated himself and was ready to go. |
