"Fire, I have never seen it, but I know it is terrifying" Vivu's pronunciation became uncharacteristically fluent. Terrifying was a word his father, Abasi would use whenever they mock fought. He taught Vivu how to come off as terrifying during a battle. Fire was indeed terrifying, more so than Vivu could ever hope to be. In the young brain of his, Vivu wondered if there was a lion out there who could control fire. Was such a thing possible? With a peculiar look on his face, Vivu couldn't help but say, "You laugh a lot." acknowledging Redav's many chuckles. It was strange, seeing a lion as cut up as him constantly laughing. Redav must have been a strong soul. |

Redav smirked. "Aye, I suppose I do laugh alot" he nodded. He hadn't noticed that before, but now that it was brought up... it was fairly obvious. "Anyhwooo...." he nodded, licking his lips for a second. "I don't think you would like to see fire, it's very bright and hot." he said. "Terrifying... yes that's a very good way to put it" he said after a moment of thought. |

The young cub trailed Redav's scars, truly terrifying indeed. "You... have my sympathy." Vivu managed to say, his unrehearsed pronunciation of sympathy made it clear that it wasn't a word he used often. Compared to Redav, Vivu's scar seemed less severe. The buzzard lion wasn't too keen on meeting fire in his life. Vivu let out a drawn out hum, it was a hum that scavengers made out of content for their current position. He was enjoying this peaceful conversation. |

"I don't require sympathy, I believe I've had enough of it for one lifetime" he said, rolling his eyes. Redav truly had enough sympathy on his mind.... along with his fair share of prejudices. "But anyway, have any hobbies?" he asked Vivu, interested. This little fella was a pretty odd one.... but pleasant nonetheless. |

"Ho-bees?" Vivu thought aloud, clearly not expecting that question. Vivu didn't exactly have much in terms of hobbies. He didn't interact much with the other lion cubs, they still seemed a bit uneasy about his presence. Though if he had to call it a hobby, he'd say... "do vulture meetings count as that?" Vivu then realized what he meant by hobbies, "oh! you mean rek- recreation, I am sorry. In that case, perching. And our vulture tales..." emphasizes the word, our. |

Redav smirked, then coughed, a dry rattling sound. His long tail flicked as it hung from the tree. He chuckled, and nodded "Yeah recreation." he replied. "Vulture tales? what are those?" he asked, avidly curious. "i suppose.... I don't have many hobbies either... sleeping, eating, so on so forth" he chuckled, amused. |

"Ah, our vulture tales..." Vivu hummed, reminiscing on those times, "we have many stories, of how everything came to be, and our place in this world." "I came to be called the Griffon of the desert, due to the an-sient creature of one of our stories. The griffon once ruled the lands, a powerful vulture with the body of a lion. We- the vultures have many stories about his... adventures." Vivu had to correct himself, his solidarity with the vultures getting the better of him. The Griffon stories were Vivu's favorites, not only because of his namesake, but because he could identify with the creature and his goals. Deep down, Vivu hoped he would become a king one day, and raise the status of vultures in the circle of life. However, Vivu pondered his dilemma 'But one has to be of the royal bloodline to become a king... unless of course...mmh... no. Too underpawed...' |

Redav nodded. "well, tell some soties then, i appreciate them" he said, looking at Vivus with interest. He coughed twice, a rattling sound echoing in his chest. "i've always loved stories." he said, flipping his tail. |

Vivu turned his gaze to the forest ahead, "from vulture to lion language... won't be easy." the buzzard lion warned. Vivu searched his mind to figure out which of the stories he wanted to tell. The Griffon was an important character, and Vivu wanted to introduce him to Redav properly. "Which tale would you like to hear? The Griffon's birth, or the Griffon's reign?" giving Redav a choice. |

Redav thought for moment, tapping his chin with a paw. "Hmm, i think I'll go with the birth of the Griffon" he nodded. "and I don't mind about translation errors" he shrugged. his long tail curled around one of his feet as he listened. |

Before the griffon, there was kay-aus among the species. Death had risen and the other animals, not knowing the vulture's duty, blamed them for the plagues that roamed the lands." A scowl made its way on Vivu's face, this part always upset him. "They tried to kill the vultures, not knowing that we were the an-sewer." Vivu's solidarity sprung up again, "On one fateful day, a pride of lions killed the eldest vulture in their foolhardy rage." Vivu pronounced foolhardy exceptionally well, thinking back to one of his father's trademark words, "One lion, out of honor for the great vulture, ate him against lion nature..." Vivu was told, that the greatest offense that one can give, is to kill and not eat the fallen. "The spirit of the eldest vulture became one with his, and it changed him. His head became the vultures, and he grew wings and took to the skies." Vivu's posture relaxed, "That is how the Griffon was born." |

Redav smirked. "interesting.." he replied. Vivu seemed to really empathize and easily understand the vultures, even though he was not of their kind. "however, i don't think that a half lion half vulture is technically possible" he chuckled, amused at the old folk tale. "nonetheless, that was a very enjoyable tale" he said with an appreciative smile. "i'm afraid i don't have any stories that interesting" he replied. Redav coughed once, a dry rattling sound. His tail flicked as he shifted slightly in the tree. |

Vivu released one of his infamous smiles, glad that he was able to share some of his knowledge with another lion. It bothered him that his species were robbed of such great stories. Vultures tales did have a sense of supernatural tones to them, despite their 'grim' status in life. Vivu saw these stories as the vultures stretching their creative wings, so to speak, as well as give them a sense of power. One day, Vivu swore he would make the story of the griffon a reality. He would give the vultures the power they deserved. "Would you like to hear a-nother?" Vivu offered. |

"Aye, I'd love to hear another" he ndded quickly. Even now, as when he was a small cub, Redav enjoyed stories of all sorts, especially those of lands and species' he'd never heard before. |

"Aye..." Vivu nodded, trying the word out. It felt foreign, but nothing a little repetition wouldn't solve. He wondered which stories Redav would find entertaining, the vultures had other stories outside of the Griffon, they had quite the most peculiar ghost stories. In fact, a ghost story might be just what he needed to get a stronger reaction from Redav. "Would you like to hear the story of the Griffon's reign? Or a vulture terror tale?" he offered, positive that Redav was going to ask about the terror tale. |
