Season Two

Welcome back to Green Hills, NC. Alex, Zach, and the gang have graduated, and had one last awesome childhood summer. But now adulthood lurks around the corner. College, jobs, and new apartments are on the horizon, but that doesn't mean things will be too different. Back on the homefront, Mari is firmly set in her new relationship with hot teacher Riley Pierce, who has his own things to deal with coming up, and Danielle and Landon are still as in love as ever. This season, things change for many of our favorite characters as they find the next chapter to be more challenging than the first.
Characters:
Spoiler: click to toggle Alex Quinn: (Steven R. McQueen) One of the central characters of our beloved series. Son of Mari, grandson of Louise, cousin to Danielle and Sara, best friend to Braden and Melissa, and boyfriend to Zach. Lost his dad in a tragic car crash, disowned by half of his family not long after. Realized that he’s better off without them. Madly in love with Zach. Smartass at heart, but also kind and loveable. Video game and horror movie nerd.
Last seen: He just graduated high school, and is getting ready for college, and moving into an apartment with his lifelong best friend Melissa.
Zach Miller: (Liam Hemsworth) recently moved from Australia to America so his airline pilot father can be closer to both his job and family. Instantly met Alex on his first day of school in Green Hills in the cutest, most J-Loish movie move ever, and was quickly accepted into his group of friends and family.
Last seen: Graduating high school, loving his boyfriend as much as possible, and a little scared of Alex’s family.
Melissa Warner: (Emma Roberts) Alex’s lifelong best friend. The two met in Kindergarten when she beat up a kid who made Alex cry. Braden joined the group after moving to Green Hills in 3rd grade, and became Melissa’s boyfriend not long after Alex and Zach started dating. Archenemy to Erica Ryder. You mess with this girl’s friends, you better run. She will fuck your shit UP!
Last seen: Getting an apartment for graduation and asking Alex to move in with her.
Braden Cross: (Chord Overstreet) One of the best friends a guy can have. Also one of the sweetest guys around. He’s Melissa’s boyfriend, and Erica’s ex. Nobody has any clue why he once dated her, but it happened. He was also Alex’s first crush, and first kiss. Addicted to romantic comedies, and has a habit of sometimes saying the wrong (i.e. dumb) thing at the wrong time.
Last seen: Giving his V-card to Melissa.
Mari Quinn: (Angie Harmon) Alex’s loving mom. If Lorelai Gilmore and Debbie Novotny walked into that machine from The Fly, Mari Quinn would walk out. Would do anything for her son, and makes his friends feel like they’re her kids, too. And she loves to fucking swear. She can use the F word as a noun, verb, and adjective in the same sentence. Put some tequila in her, and play some Little Jon. Magic will happen.
Last seen: Striking up a relationship with Alex’s hot teacher Riley Pierce, and catching all kinds of crap for it.
Danielle Quinn: (Emma Stone) The cousin you’ve always wished you could have. Sassy, fun, seemingly lacks the ability to stay still. Has most likely bought her underage cousin Alex and his friends beer. Total coffee addict. Amateur photographer, and master mix CD creator. Can give anybody a mix for any situation. Dating Landon, whom she has reunited with after a previous relationship a few years ago. Taking some time off of college to just live her life.
Last seen: Making fun of her aunt’s newfound cougar-ish tendencies.
Sara Stewart: (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting) Danielle’s older sister. She’s the “responsible” sister, but still knows how to cut loose. Loves spending time with her husband Patrick, and planning the life they’re gonna have with their baby, when he or she comes. Once spent a revealing day stuck in an elevator with her neighbors Farrah Keane and Brock Ryder. A bond has formed between the three that will be expanded upon in season two.
Last seen: Putting a baby room together, and awaiting the upcoming birth.
Louise Quinn: (Ellen Burstyn) Matriarch of the Quinn family. Sara’s husband likes to jokingly call her “The Godmother,” in a lame ‘Mafia Don’ joke. Loves her family to no end, and insists everybody calls her “grandma.” Spend 5 minutes with her, you can see where all the Quinns get their attitude. Louise originated that shit. Definitely a breakout character, and will be seen a LOT more in season two.
Last seen: Sending Alex and his friends on a post-graduation vacation to a cabin in the woods.
Landon Harris: (Marshall Allman) Not too much is known about Landon. He and Danielle dated for an unknown period of time a few years ago, before he had to leave Green Hills. Their breakup was very amicable. Moved back to Green Hills and got a job as a computer tech. Reunited with Danielle thanks to a nurf football thrown by his slacker porn addicted roommate Nate Parker. He and Danielle swiftly rekindled their flame, which now burns super bright.
Last seen: DJ-ing Alex’s graduation party.
Riley Pierce: (Drew Van Acker) The hottest teacher to ever hit Green Hills High. Fresh degree in his pocket, he transferred late in the year, after the regular teacher…It’s best not to talk about that. It wasn’t very dignified. While he’s teaching anatomy, most of the female (and a few of the male) students would rather study his. A chance encounter with Mari led him to ask her out. The two hit it off on their first date, and are officially an item.
Last seen: Taking an insane amount of playful ribbing from the Quinn family.
Pete Ashton: (Tyler Posey) One of the drama club kids in Green Hills High. Crushed on Alex, but was too afraid to say anything from behind the closet door. Kissed Alex at a party, but was quickly forgiven. Eventually became the unofficial fifth member of the gang. Big plans for him in season 2.
Last seen: Distracted by the skateboard riding bad boy, Brock Ryder.
Brock Ryder: (Michael Fjordbak) On the outside, Brock looks like your stereotypical bad boy. But really? He’s a complex and layered individual. He hides his deep fears of becoming like his abusive father behind a shield of sarcasm. Really picks who he opens up to. His favorites being his neighbors Sara Stewart and Farrah Keane, with Braden Cross not too far behind. Don’t confuse him with his sister. The two are almost nothing alike.
Last seen: Celebrating his cousin Dylan Meade’s acceptance of his facebook friend request.
Erica Ryder: (Lindsay Pierce) Brock’s evil twin sister and Melissa’s archenemy. Wears the mask of a straight up bitch, but her ex-boyfriend Braden knows that’s not who she really is. She considers her true self weak and will do anything to hide it. Her relationship with Braden didn’t work out because she treated him more like an accessory than a boyfriend.
Last seen: Dropping the mask and hugging her brother after learning Dylan wants to start talking again.
