Final Destination is an American horror franchise based on an unproduced spec script by Jeffrey Reddick, originally written for the X-Files television series. Distributed by New Line Cinema, all five films center around a protagonist that has a premonition of a terrible accident that will kill numerous people. The protagonist and several other people manage to escape from the scene of the accident, before it happens, but are later killed in a series of bizarre accidents that frequently resemble Rube Goldberg machines in their complexity.

I love 1/2/5. 3 isn't good (minus MEW, Ryan, and a couple kills/concepts), but I still have some fun with it. 4 is weak.... but still not totally dire in comparison to most franchise lows (say, Halloween 5) There's a few positives.

I need a 6th
Ranking: 1 > 5 > 2 > 3 > 4
Fav Characters: Alex (1), Carter (1), Clear (1), Rory (2), Kat (2), Kevin (3), Wendy (3), Peter (5)

The Bobby Campo one really is the only one I can't stand to watch.

Though 2 commits my least favorite thing about survivors in horror movies. ''LET US DUMB DOWN THE SURVIVOR TO KILL THEM OFF!"

Either we're embracing death or giving it a run for it's money.

That's four. And agreed about 2's leads, they sucked. Bland and incredibly stupid (I'd still take them over Bobby Campo's acting tho)

The supporting cast kinda salvages 2. Clear is still good, Kat/Rory are great, Nora and Eugene are well developed and likeable.

Clear's good up until the point of her being dumbed down and rushing excitedly out of character to check on a guy she barely knows.

Like...wut?

I think that Clear thought Eugene was the person in Kim's vision, so I think it makes sense why she'd rush to check on him. I've always been way more baffled by Kim's stupidity. It's not that hard to say "Uh, Clear, they were not a black dude's hand."

Either way, Rory and Kat stole FD2 as far as I'm concerned. As much as I like Clear, I think she's a little overrated in the FD community on account of being the only survivor to come back for a sequel. I definitely prefer Alex, Carter, Kevin, Kat, and Rory to her at the very least.

When will this series return from the depths of hell for a sixth and final installment? I just need them to explain it all. That's all I really need.

I am curious on that as well. We were supposed to get another one but nothing ever came of it

And the fifth one didn't exactly bomb either.

Plus the only recurring face is Tony Todd and while he's busy he's never THAT busy.

So there's no real logical hold up for a 6th installment.
