![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yASbM8M2vg Deepwater Horizon is the true story of the 2010 explosion of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig, and resulting oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Starring: Mark Wahlberg, Kurt Russell, Dylan O'Brien, John Malkovich, and Kate Hudson To say I'm really psyched for this movie is an understatement. If I can only see one more movie in the theatre, I'm making damn sure it's this one. |

Gee, I can only image why or who made you excited for this one.

What? Guy can't be interested in a movie about a tragic, newsmaking event? |

Summer 2010. I even put it in the description of the movie.

True, Dylan is a good chunk of why I'm excited, but I've always had a love of tales of human courage and survival against the odds. |

AAAAH! If you haven't seen the movie, when the DVD comes out, WATCH IT! I got to see it in theater about a few days after it premiered and it was even better than I had hoped! Everything went right, even though there was a couple of points where I couldn't watch because of the graphic realism. It had better be up for some Oscars, or my opinion of the Academy is going to sink to even lower levels. |

It strikes me as a film that might be forgotten once we hit actual Oscar bait season, which is right about now. There's two dangers when it comes to that. A film coming out too soon or too late to be a contender. It probably did the too early thing. |
