I'm in contact with a representative from Reprieve. This is Clive Stafford Smith's organization. I was just told that Binyam Mohamed is on hunger strike and is being force-fed. He went on hunger strike in December and tube feeding began on January 14th. It looks like he's not in imminent danger of starving to death.

Evidence of how a British resident held in the Guantánamo Bay detention camp was tortured, and what MI5 knew about it, must remain secret because of serious threats the US has made against the UK, the high court ruled today. The judges made clear they were deeply unhappy with their decision, but said they had no alternative as a result of a statement by David Miliband, the foreign secretary, that if the evidence was disclosed the US would stop sharing intelligence with Britain. I'm on a big gulp of flax seed oil in the mornings and bananas for the metals. Putting in some ginger and/or ginkgo biloba as well. Easy to do. No problem. I'm on garlic for the pathogens. As an appetizer for dinner I'm taking about 5 cloves of finely chopped fresh garlic embedded into a few thick slices of tomato with extra virgin olive oil and salt. It's actually quite delicious. It's a little strong but very doable. Love that Rock and Roll!
