Ok, so anyone who knows me knows I LOVE music. I am probably one of the biggest listeners of music on here and currently have over 700 songs on my MP3 (most at one time being 1152). So I thought, who are my top 100 favorite artists/bands of all time? I judge my favorites on who I think is the best, so this list would also be the 100 greatest artists/bands of all time (in my opinion). So, over the past six or so days, I've been working hard on compiling a list of who I truly believe to be the greatest musical artists of all time, from any and all genres as well. Remember, this is MY OPINION ONLY! This means that you do not have to agree with it. Hell, I don't even expect you to. I do ask that you keep an open mind with this. If you see a name you don't recognize, look them up on YouTube. I want you to even give me names you would've liked to see on here. Give me 5 bands/artists you think should've been on here & 5 bands/artists you think should not have been on here (Also, these are not in any specific order) The White Stripes Three Days Grace Bon Jovi Foo Fighters Nirvana J. Geils Band Coheed and Cambria Rascal Flatts Garth Brookes Elton John Kansas Rush Red Hot Chili Peppers Blake Shelton Oasis Christina Aguilera Aerosmith Dave Matthews Band Beethoven FFH Casting Crowns Chuck Berry Queen KISS Serj Tankian AC/DC The Beatles Led Zeppelin Muse Lenny Kravtiz The Who Adele Florence and the Machine Shania Twain Bruce Springsteen David Bowie Hall & Oats Def Leppard Madonna The Eagles Bob Segar Elvis Costello Evanescene tobyMac Journey Lynyrd Skynyrd Nena ZZ Top Stevie Nicks Rise Against Michael Jackson The Black Keys Billy Idol Genesis Alexander Rybak Elvis Presley Newsboys Dio The Offspring Britney Spears Mozart Alanis Morissette Ozzy Osbourne Soundgarden Metallica Die Toten Hosen Marvin Gaye Avril Lavigne Frank Sinatra Beastie Boys Peter Gabriel dcTalk Akeboshi Tears for Fears U2 Steve Miller Band Bob Dylan The Guess Who Chicago L'Arc en Ciel The Killers Tokio Hotel Stevie Wonder Aretha Franklin Bif Naked Dolly Parton Steven Curtis Chapman Pearl Jam The Clash Billy Joel Blondie The Strokes R.E.M. Joan Jett Tool Lecrae Dire Straits Duran Duran Yes The Grateful Dead Honorable Mention : Chris Rene - The reason I felt inclined to honorably mention this person is because I honestly believe that he is on his way to becoming one of the best rappers/hop-hop artists ever! Chris Rene became famous with one song. He arrived on the stage of the X-Factor USA season 1 auditions and performed his original song Young Homie. Young Homie puts into words the struggles he's had with substance abuse and how he overcame it so that he could live a better life for his son. Through the competition he got better and better, and in the end, Chris Rene made it to the finals. He may not have won, but he did damn good and proved himself to be The Truth. I implore you to research some of his music, but in the meantime, here is the clip of his audition on the X-Factor. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYPTS_39I8g |

Should've been there (granted, I love rap, but I'll leave that off the thread due to the fact that you don't have any haha): 1. Rolling Stones 2. The Doors 3. Bob Marley 4. Johnny Cash 5. Guns 'n Roses Bands that shouldn't be there: 1. Avril 2. tobyMac 3. Genesis 4. Adele 5. Muse Edited by Judas Dathan, Oct 7 2012, 09:39 PM.
