Has anyone seen it?

After not being to the cinema for about 10 years (they make me very anxious), I watched it in 3D at the cinema, I would highly recommend it. Amazing film!

Lyrics

What song lyrics do you feel are awesome, for whatever reason? They don't need to be particularly descriptive of your life or whatever, they could just be from your favourite songs, but hey, the more meaningful the better.

Here's some of mine:

Staind - Blow Away
The first line inspired my WP signature :)

Live in my head for just one day
I see myself and look away
The road is showing now on my face
Soon I'll disappear with, I'll disappear without a fucking trace

Faces that I've seen turn old and grey
I've lost too many friends along the way
Memories, I never thought would fade
They fade and blow away

I wish that I could disappear
Unzip my skin and leave it here
So I could be no one again
And never let nobody, I'd let nobody, I'd let nobody in

Faces that I've seen turn old and grey
I've lost too many friends along the way
Memories, I never thought would fade
They fade and blow away

So now the walls are closing in
Because in life you sink or swim
Sometimes these shoes don't feel right, in my head
Feel like a book that can't be, a book that can't be
A book that can't be read

Faces that I've seen turn old and grey
I've lost too many friends along the way
Memories, I never thought would fade
They fade and blow away

Disturbed - Land of Confusion
I prefer this over the Genesis version

I must've dreamed a thousand dreams
Been haunted by a million screams
But I can hear the marching feet
Moving into the street

Now did you read the news today?
They say the danger's gone away
But I can see the fire still alight
Burning into the night

There's too many men, too many people
Making too many problems
And there's not much love to go around
Can't you see this is a land of confusion?

This is the world we live in
And these are the hands we're given
Use them and let's start trying
To make it a place worth living in

Our superman, where are you now?
When everything's gone wrong somehow
The men of steel, these men of power
Are losing control by the hour

And this is the time, this is the place
So we look for the future
But there's not much love to go around
Tell me why? This is a land of confusion

This is the world we live in
And these are the hands we're given
Use them and let's start trying
To make it a place worth living in

I remember long ago
When the sun was shining
And all the stars were bright
All through the night
In the wake of this madness
As I held you tight
So long ago

I won't be coming home tonight
My generation will put it right
We're not just making promises
That we know we'll never keep

There's too many men, too many people
Making too many problems
And there's not much love to go around
Can't you see this is a land of confusion?

Now, this is the world we live in
And these are the hands we're given
Use them and let's start trying
To make it a place worth fighting for

This is the world we live in
And these are the names we're given
Stand up and let's start showing
Just where our lives are going to

Linkin Park - KRWLNG
Someone combined it with one of my favourite game series!

Crawling in my skin
Without a sense of confidence, confidence, confidence...
Consuming, confusing
Crawling in my skin
Without a sense of confidence and I'm convinced that there's just too much pressure to take
There's something inside me that pulls beneath the surface

Crawling in my skin
(Crawling in my skin)
These wounds they will not heal
(These wounds they will not heal)
Fear is how I fall
(Fear is how I fall)
Confusing, confusing what is real
Confusing what is real...

There's something inside me that pulls beneath the surface
Consuming, confusing
This lack of self-control I fear is never ending
Controlling, I cant seem
To find myself again
My walls are closing in
(Without a sense of confidence, and I'm convinced that there's just too much pressure to take)
I've felt this way before, so insecure...

Crawling in my skin
These wounds, they will not heal
Fear is how I fall
Confusing what is real

Discomfort endlessly has pulled itself upon me
Distracting, reacting
Against my will I stand beside my own reflection
Its haunting how I cant seem
To find myself again
My walls are closing in
(Without a sense of confidence, and I'm convinced that there's just too much pressure to take)
I've felt this way before, so insecure...

Without a sense of confidence, confidence...
Without a sense of confidence, confidence...
Without a sense of confidence, and I'm convinced that there's just too much pressure to take
Without a sense of confidence, confidence...
Without a sense of confidence, confidence...
Without a sense of confidence, and I'm convinced that there's just too much pressure to take
To find myself again, my walls are closing in
(Without a sense of confidence, and I'm convinced that there's just too much pressure to take)
I've felt this way before, so insecure...

Crawling in my skin
These wounds, they will not heal
Fear is how I fall
Confusing what is real
Crawling in my skin
These wounds, they will not heal
Fear is how I fall
Confusing, confusing what is real

FOX TV

One could consider me a rather mad person, being a fan of Joss Whedon, but madness aside, I'm one of several. I'm also rather incensed at FOX TV for cancelling a sum total of two of Joss' shows. First of all there was Firefly, which was made legendary after FOX's sudden but inevitable betrayal, and now Dollhouse. Anyone questioning Firefly's legendary status probably loves the movie Serenity, and hasn't quite caught up with where it came from. :)

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr to FOX

I now will have nothing to watch on TV at all.......... :(

Christmas.

Posted by Billy (Hosts and Hostesses) at Dec 13 2009, 13:29. 10 comments

Okey, so christmas is approaching .. Love it or hate nobody can possibly ignore it. It will be everywhere you go, including TV , so don`t think you can escape there. :D

As the weather turns cold and daylight becomes shorter our feelings of compassion for our fellow man begins to glow as the Christmas season approaches. Many people donate toys and money to organizations that provide gifts and holiday meals to the sick, poor and elderly and some of us volunteer precious time to these charitable institutions.

Our expression of compassion and giving during the holiday season can also be shown in other ways?
Do you have any ideas in this respect?

You can also create your own recycled ornaments! Here are a few ideas:

Take a large sheet of clean, previously used aluminum foil and color it with permanent markers in various colors. You can now crush the foil into bright colorful balls or roll them into spirals, stars or other shapes!
Glue gemstones and/or glitter onto used CDs. Tape or glue a ribbon or string hook on the back.

Any ideas for decoration?
