I just finished the D-Day mission #1 on the American campaign and WOW. Put this game on Veteran and you literally need to take a few hours between every few missions just to absorb the awesomeness.

I've gotten through half of the Russian and British levels. Haven't reached American yet. I've heard that it's one of the best experiences in gaming. Can't wait to check it out!

You mentioned putting it on Veteran. Is the gameplay different, to some extent, for the levels of gameplay? I know it's obviously harder, but more explosions/deaths/etc?

On veteran.. the enemy force becomes literally phenomenal and they actually act intelligent rather than the drooling idiots they can be on say easy or even regular mode (though regular was a decent challenge..)

They come in greater numbers, damage is more realistic (you can't take 20 bullets and live) and with the enemy numbers so much greater there's bullets FILLING the air.. way more grenades and mortars going off. So yeah, the greater enemy force does equate to a more fierce and fiery environment for playing.
