I just had to share this with you guys because it really made me think. Look at this, I mean on television you can buy products such as an "Ab Belt" in which you strap a belt on to you and it tones your abs. You can watch television or even go on the computer and your abs become toner. There have also been products out there where you are in a chair and you simply move to work out. The companies say "You can now get toned abs without the sweat". Huh? Is America so lazy that they have to have workout systems that involve them watching television with a belt on? It just sickens me that we would sink to this low to become fit. 20 minutes a day 3 days week does not seem like too much of a work out for me. What do you guys think? |

Ab belts and the such may tone your muscles, but they don't make you skilled in using them. You're just as weak and unfit as before you started using them! |

honestly i really don't care how America gets fit as long as it starts happening. overweight people who are actually trying to make even a little effort in getting fit really do deserve some credit rather than others. |

i mean yeah i'm extremely athletic so getting muscle tone isn't too hard for me, and how people see bigger people out walking or running and say 'oh that so disgusting' don't really realize how much will power it takes to get them up and out and off their daily routine and as i said before even if its just sitting there with the ab belt on or sitting in the ab chair or ab foot rest i really don't care how they do it as long as they do it, i would honestly push people toward that as like a first step to a new you kind of thing. starts with those measly diets and exercise routines and the next thing they are running 12 miles a day (and have seen this with my own eyes). |
