"-and FURTHERmore-!" Yuchi was about to start again when he was interrupted by the woman who jumped in her seat a moment before.

"Hey you! Don't you think you should come and sit down already?" She said, inclining her head toward the chair in between her and the other girl. "Uh, erm..." he stammered. Crap, now I've gone and done it. he thought, to which the Zaiaku side mentally responded, Pfft, You sure did, loser!

Blinking, quite embarrassed, Yuchi quickly made his way over to the seat, setting his ramen down onto the table and sitting down, and catching on to what the women was trying to do, made a point in looking sheepish.

She sighed and shook her head quite convincingly, before continuing with a tone of anger in her voice. "What have I told you about practising for Drama Club in public? You know people are staring at you, right?"

"Y-yeah, I know, sorry about that senpai..." he replied, hanging his head in shame. A moment later, he looked up as the women spoke to him again.

"So, I heard you have a Persona." she said. Yuchi nodded. "Yeah, ever since I was a kid...I guess you two have them, too? The 'I art thou and thou art I' kind?" he asked to confirm. He had already been warned not to go talking about persona in public, but he clearly got carried away this time. Ya think? came Zaiaku's mocking tone in Yuchi's head.

Scratching the back of his head, Yuchi gave the two an apologetic smile. "Thanks for that, I usually try not to make scenes like that in public," he said, but flashing back to another particular day in Junes, he added, "on accident. Anyway, my name's Yuchi Shinsei, but some people just call me Yuu. And uh, sorry, I really don't like to eavesdrop but...you two haven't had your Persona long, have you? Was it the first time you've heard them talk to you like that?"

Quite a scene unfolded before Ren, as Aiella drew the boy over to their table, and she watched with slight amusement as their act played out.

"-and FURTHERmore-!"

"Hey you! Don't you think you should come and sit down already?"

"Uh, erm..."

Finally, the white haired boy made his way over and took his seat, looking rather sheepish. "What have I told you about practising for Drama Club in public? You know people are staring at you, right?" scolded Aiella, Ren had to admit, even if it was an act, Aiella looked scary when she was mad. Other people watching glanced between her and the boy in curiosity."Y-yeah, I know, sorry about that senpai..." replied the boy, lowering his head in apparent shame. As the scene came to its conclusion, Ren glanced around to see that everyone was proceeding to go on about their day, and gave Aiella a meaningful nod to make a point of this fact.

Aiella then eased out of her scolding form, and spoke to the white haired boy again. "So, I heard you have a Persona." The boy nodded."Yeah, ever since I was a kid...I guess you two have them, too? The 'I art thou and thou art I' kind?".

People can have a persona when they're really young, too? Ren wondered. She heard Kyokkai reply in her mind. It is indeed an impressive development at the younger age, but it is not so uncommon to awaken to ones potential at such a time.

"Anyway, my name's Yuchi Shinsei, but some people just call me Yuu." the boy said as he introduced himself.

"...I'm Ren...nice to meet you, Yuu." Ren introduced herself a little hesitantly. Ever since her meeting with Aiella, speaking to new people was coming easier and easier to her, but she still wasn't quite used to it. Responding to Yuchi's following questions, Ren replied meekly. "...I...just found out about Kyokkai, my persona..." She still couldn't say for sure if she had the ability to summon her persona previously however, none of the memories of much far back beyond the last couple years had returned yet.

"Yeah, ever since I was a kid...I guess you two have them, too? The 'I art thou and thou art I' kind?" He said, confirming. Aiella nodded. He once again scratched the back of his head, and smiled apologetically. "Thanks for that, I usually try not to make scenes like that in public," he seemed to think to himself for a few moments, and then added, “on accident.”

To Aiella, the boy seemed to be very accustomed to having his persona around. It seemed to be very much a part of daily life, and she found herself wondering if her and Callopeia would progress onto such friendly terms. To her.. he seemed like he was friends with his persona.

“Friends.. a means to defeat Shadows... a part of yourself that manifests to grant power...” she thought to herself. “Just what is the exact purpose of a Persona?”

“Aie.” Callopiea said, bringing her attention back forward to the boy in front of her.

“Anyway, my name's Yuchi Shinsei, but some people just call me Yuu.” he said, speeding on ahead. “And uh, sorry, I really don't like to eavesdrop but... you two haven't had your Persona long, have you? Was it the first time you've heard them talk to you like that?"

“That's fine.” Aiella started, smiling politely. “If we hadn't of heard each other, we wouldn't of been able to meet like this.” as an afterthought she added, “I'm Aiella.”

Ren hesitantly followed suit, "...I'm Ren...nice to meet you, Yuu." she seemed uncomfortable talking to Yuchi, and Aiella worried a little. "...I...just found out about Kyokkai, my persona..." she added, answering Yuu's question. Her head lowered a little, and Aiella got a lingering feeling that maybe she shouldn't have explained to Ren what exactly amnesia was the night before.

“Yes... gaining our Persona's has been quite a recent event,” she pressed on, pushing last night out of her mind. She was being purposely evasive about her answers, but couldn't be exactly sure why.

”I know that our knowledge about current events is... lacking,” she thought, addressing Callopeia. ”But can we really trust everyone we come across that has a Persona?”

”I think it at least wise that you keep an open mind on the matter.” Callopeia responded.

A mere few seconds had passed during her conversation with Callopeia, and she found herself continuing the conversation, partly to disguise the time spent addressing her persona. “So, yes. Our knowledge on what we can do with them is lacking.” she glanced over at Ren, who could well be in conversation with Kyokkai for all she knew – all she could see was that she was becoming increasingly interested in the food court floor.

“So what exactly do you know about Persona's? The Shadows?” she enquired.

"Aiella and Ren, huh? It's nice to meet you both!" Yuchi said with his typical over the top enthusiasm. He did notice that Ren was holding her gaze down at the floor, and hoped he hadn't said anything to upset her. Maybe she was just shy though?

“Yes... gaining our Persona's has been quite a recent event,” Aiella said. "So, yes. Our knowledge on what we can do with them is lacking.”

Yuchi chuckled in his friendly way. "Aw, it's alright, like I said, I've had my Persona for a long time, but even I still haven't figured out everything!"

“So what exactly do you know about Persona's? The Shadows?” Aiella asked. Yuchi nodded and thought for a moment. "Good questions. Well, let's see..."

"As I understand things, a 'Persona', like what we have, is something like an extension to ourselves. They're like manifestations of who we truly are inside, our personality, views and beliefs, sometimes even represent the way we think, and within the fog, we can call upon their power to fight Shadows, creatures that...hmm, actually, since you brought it up, I guess you've already seen them, huh? Some of them assume the shape of those weird black squiggly things with masks, but they can assume other forms too. They come in all shapes and sizes, even different powers, just like the various kinds of Persona! The one thing they have in common are those masks, but if you look closely, you might see that different types of shadows have different masks."

Yuchi paused to think of what else he knew, and to give the duo a moment to take in this information. "I'm afraid I don't know much else about Shadows though...where they come from, why the exist or anything deep like that. I kinda just try to avoid them when I can, since they seem to usually stay in the Midnight Channel, but with all this fog, its kinda tough." That's when he realized there was more to explain. "Oh yeah, the Midnight Channel, it's what people have been calling that weird TV program that comes on at midnight on rainy nights, have you heard the rumor?"

"Apparently, on rainy nights at midnight, a TV program comes on, and according to rumor, whoever appears on your TV screen is supposed to be your Soul Mate. But, to be honest..." Yuchi's face filled with concern, as he glanced over at normal people passing by as they continued to shop. "...I don't think its true at all...I don't know who or why people appear on the screen, but I'm sure it has something to do with the world INSIDE the TV...if that's the case, I have a feeling whoever appears is in real danger. In fact, they might even be trapped inside that world somewhere." He looked back toward Aiella and Ren. "Do you two know what I'm talking about? The world inside the TV, filled with Shadows? I believe THAT is what the Midnight Channel really is. "

Ren tried her best to listen to what Yuchi had to say, but her concern over her memory started to take in the whole of her attention, and only managed catch the highlights of Yuchi's explanation as she was staring down toward the floor, lost in thought.

Is something the matter, Ren? came the voice of her Persona.

...Kyokkai, Ren mentally mused as she formed her question. Who am I? What is it that I have to face? Can't you tell me?

I am sorry, Ren. I fear that simply informing you will not be enough to "face" that memory. "Kiba" and I can only guide and protect you in order for you to find the answers yourself. Memories can only truly exist if there is emotional meaning to tie with them...even if that meaning is...unpleasent...

What do you mean, unpleasant? Ren tried to ask, afraid of what Kyokkai would say. However, Kyokkai gave her no answer, forcing Ren to pay attention to what Yuchi was saying as the Persona fell silent.

"Oh yeah, the Midnight Channel, it's what people have been calling that weird TV program that comes on at midnight on rainy nights, have you heard the rumor? Midnight channel...the shadows world? Ren thought to herself as she quietly looked to Aiella, thinking back to the house that Kiba led Ren to inside the TV in order to save Aiella from the shadow version of herself. Looking back toward Yuchi, she asked, in a slightly less hesitant voice as before, "...shadows...the ones that look like people...have you heard of them turning into persona?" She looked to Aiella to explain her question better, since it was her own Shadow that later became Callopeia.

"...shadows...the ones that look like people...have you heard of them turning into persona?" Came Ren's voice, more confidant then before. She looked over at Aiella as a means to get a better explaination, and Aiella found herself hesitant to carry on the conversation further.

"...Yes." she said, finally. "I do beleive that both me and Ren have been inside the Midnight Channel..." she bit her lip a little. "However I don't remember that much about it. Shadow Aiella did indeed, turn into my persona." Her stomach flipped a little as she realised that maybe she was being a little too guarded about her answers and the information she had given up about the situation, and found herself remembering the invites that her and Ren has gotten the previous night.

"What about this?"
she started again, peaking Yuchi's interest with the blue envelope. "Have you gotten one of these yet?"

"The P-1 Grandprix..." Ren murmured quietly. Yuchi took the envelope from Aiella's outstreched hand, and took out of the card inside.

"Last night." he confirmed inbetween a mouthful of ramen. "I know just as much as you." Aiella wrinkled her nose, and placed the envelope back into her bag. She went to draw out a card with her work phone number on in but stopped, looking at her watch briefly for the time.

"As much as I'd like to talk more, me and Ren have more things to get inside Junes." she said, smiling. "Hope to see you around more, Yuchi."

"...shadows...the ones that look like people...have you heard of them turning into persona?"

"Hm? Shadow people?" Yuchi blinked as he took a bite of raman. Aiella hesitantly clarified.

"...Yes, I do beleive that both me and Ren have been inside the Midnight Channel..." Yuchi noticed how she bit her lip. Did something happen while they were in there? Yuchi wondered. "However I don't remember that much about it. Shadow Aiella did indeed, turn into my persona."

"Shadow...Aiella? I'm not sure I get it, but...okay?" Yuchi replied. "I didn't think that a shadow could turn into a persona...hmm...does it have to be a special shadow maybe?" After another bite, he continued. "Anyway, is there anything else I might be able to explain?"

"What about this?" Aiella said as she handed him a blue envelope. Yuchi took another bite of his ramen as he took the envelope and pulled out a card, and read its message.

For: Aiella Osaragi
Callopeia of the Justice Arcana.

"Have you gotten one of these yet?"

Yuchi stared in surprise, the card in his hand was strikingly similar to the one that he found...

"The P-1 Grandprix..." he heard Ren murmur.

"Last night." he said as he nodded his head. "I know just as much as you." He hadn't the foggiest clue what these invitations were about, but somehow they seemed important. As he handed back the card and envelope, Aiella wrinkled her nose and put it bag in her bag.

"As much as I'd like to talk more, me and Ren have more things to get inside Junes." Aiella said with a smile. "Hope to see you around more, Yuchi."

"Hm? Okay, you two be careful, then." Yuchi said with a wave of goodbye as the two of walked away. "I hope I was able to help them a little." He said to himself.

Psh, yer too damn nice, Zaiaku responded mentally. Besides, all yer yapp'in prolly just scared them away!

Yuchi just sighed, not up to another argument as he continued eating his ramen. Somehow, he felt like he was forgetting something.

"As much as I'd like to talk more, me and Ren have more things to get inside Junes. Hope to see you around more, Yuchi."

As Aiella bid Yuchi farewell, Ren noticed that while following her away from the food court, her pace was rather swift. Either they were really short on time, or something was amiss, (not that Ren knew what the word "amiss" meant.)

"Aie, what's wrong" she asked. When Aie looked over to her, her expression suggesting all was fine, she continued, "You're walking faster than Kiba usually does... Why the hurry?"

Glancing back in the direction of Yuchi, she said, "I'm not quite sure I trust him."

Ren tilted her head in thought, not quite understanding. "Why? Yuu seemed really nice and told us all he could." Aiella seemed to pretend not to hear her as she spoke again. "Should we really tell everything we know to every person who says they have a persona?"

Ren thought over this a moment, but couldn't think of anything else to say to that.

Irrational as it may sound, Ren, it is general knowledge that not every human being is one that can be trusted. Kyokkai said.

Ren supposed it was true, but she would have admitted that she slightly hoped to be friends with another person who had an ability like hers and Aie. "So...What now?" She asked Aiella.

There was still a good few things to do get on with. Aiella sighed.

"So... What now?" Ren asked Aiella. Aiella exhaled gently, going over the mental list of things still left to do. Re-checking over what she had already done, it became apparent that she had left the best things until last.

"Now?" Aie started, "Now we go clothes shopping." she smiled gently and took Ren by the hand, and took off at a fast pace across the floor of the Shopping centre. Ren - struggling to keep up at this point - followed behind her, a little bewildered and confused as Aiella waded her way through the crowds. They stopped in front of Aiella favourite store, and Aiella looked back at Ren, smiling.

"You can pick out anything you want, okay?" Aiella started, itching to dive in herself and treat herself to something new. "After this, we're going to the pet store~"

Ren blinked a little confusedly as Aiella took her hand, something she was quite unused to, but had little time to dwell on this as (even as quick as she usually was herself when she needed to be) she struggled to follow Aiella's pace as they weaved through the crowds.

They soon stopped in front of a particular clothing store. Looking back at Ren with a smile, Aiella said, "You can pick out anything you want, okay? After this, we're going to the pet store~" Ren looked into the entrance to the store, her expression that of hesitation.

It wasn't that she never been in a clothing store before, (in fact, she was well familiar with the one in Iwatodai , where she and Kiba lived on their own in the backstreets of the city) it was the fact that whenever she had been in one, which was not often, she had rushed in to steal clothes that fit her whenever she had outgrown, or by all means, outworn her clothing to the fullest and had fled the shopkeepers with Kiba's help. The authorities were still on the lookout for Ren when she and Kiba snuck aboard a train bound for Inaba.

"Uhm...I-I don't know about this Aie..." she began, hesitantly. However, eventually, Aiella managed to coax Ren into the store with her.

As Aiella searched for outfits for herself, Ren wandered around, unable to help ducking her head while passing other random people by. Even though she felt uneasy about being in plain sight in the store, she did find herself compelled by the hooded Tshirt selection, looking through the ones that were small enough for her. While she picked out a few white, black, gray and green hooded tees, a peculiar outfit caught her eye. A silver Yukata decorated with images oh sakura blossoms around it. Ren had seen this type of outfit before and was always intrigued by them, but had never actual been practical for her to...walk out with one to keep herself covered.
