May 31, Time of Day- 1 PM Weather: Now Foggy It was a slow day for Baryl. Most of them actually were, as his kid was at school, Cecilia was at work and unless he went shopping, he pretty much stayed inside all day with very little human contact. Though he did occasionally take a stroll every now and then to burn some of his seemingly ever so increasing energy, but then there was also Iggy, which is Baryl's nickname for Ignis. Baryl didn't remember how he obtained Ignis, but he knew that they were close together as when he heard Ignis' voice, a large wave of déjà vu came over him, but he didn't know why; the man never had a voice inside of his head before that he could recall, but the supposed re-arrival of Ignis made Baryl's days less lonely as he had someone to always keep himself company, even if it was just a voice inside of his head. So after putting real world, public appropriate clothes on, consisting of a light green t-shirt and a pair of Jeans with some hastily thrown on sneakers, Baryl decided to go out for a stroll to burn off some of his energy, but also to pick up some needed ingredients for that night's dinner. He wandered into the town's commercial district taking his usual path of avoiding the river plains like they were the plague. It was bright and sunny at first, as he kept a conversation with Iggy about the importance of various cooking techniques and how they reflected upon the overall taste and flavor of the dishes. This kept up for a while as Baryl continued to shop for some of the various spices and what not that they had been talking about prior. Once he had finished finding the ingredients and paying for them, he realized two things: the first being that the fog had rolled in, much like the day that Ignis made his return, and the second realization was that the street was now pretty much devoid of people, which somewhat bothered him. How did everyone disappear so quickly. Were they afraid of the fog, were they afraid of the creatures rumored to lurk in the fog? Baryl didn't fear the rumored creatures, they supposedly looked like black sludge and giant balls with lips, so they couldn't have been that scary, but there was another reason. That other reason being that despite how Ignis was only a voice so far, Baryl thought Ignis could help somehow, with some of that déjà vu coming back to him when he thought this. So he walked, not necessarily towards any one thing now, though his end goal was ultimately his house. As he did so, he saw a few shadows scurrying to and fro far a head of him, and a few lurking in the shadows, before finally calling out loud, " Helloooo? Is anyone there?!" He had no clue what was out there, but all he could hope for was that they were friendly. Edited by Baryl, Mar 9 2014, 12:05 PM.

"..." Gabriel, clad in a black leather jacket, cargo pants and riders boots, had been standing outside the nearby grocery store beside his parked motorcycle, waiting for the bizarre fog phenomena to begin. A time in which her heard rumors that strange creatures would lurk. He wondered, could it be connected to most recent "Bloodless Murder" incident here in Inaba? Was Yasuko tied into them if that were the case? Or could it be something else entirely? Once the fog set in, he noticed the townsfolk immediate reaction to it, felt their fear as they took shelter. It was a sort of sixth sense of his, one might say, to detect such unease from a community, no matter how subtle, being who he was. But he was not the one meant to play the role of the hero in this world. No, that was to be the fate of another. So long as he was interloping to change that fate, however, he thought he may as well examine the nature of this unnatural mist. He walked down the street into the thick of the fog. It significantly obscured his vision, to be sure. It was the perfect hunting ground for these creatures rumored to exist within it. Then he heard it, a scrapping along the road Gabriel knew couldn't belong to a local animal. Something was here, watching him. He stopped walking, and was still for a moment. Another scrape. It was coming closer. Slowly, not wanting to trigger the entity to strike with sudden movements, he entered the stance he used when utilizing Baji-quan. And then another sound cut through. A voice. " Helloooo? Is anyone there?!" The scraping stopped, abruptly, as if stopping to see the source of the voice. Then its scraping moved away towards it. Damn! Gabriel thought. He turned towards the direction it was walking towards and saw that there were multiple shapes moving towards the voice. "Go hide," he called out in response. "They're coming!" Meanwhile, he quickly advanced towards the nearest creature to intercept it. Edited by Gabriel Cressnic, Jun 8 2014, 10:49 PM.
