It was a month since she promised Gatz that she would stay at his apartment room for her safety. She was ordered to stay in his apartment because a secret organization planned on using her. He went on a mission to discover what they were after and why it involved her. Since she wanted to know her heritage for the sake of her destiny, she stayed patiently. While living at Gatz's place, she fell into a daily routine that kept her from returning home before he returned. This day was the same as the last three weeks. Her frustration about waiting in the apartment room was suppressed, but it was seen on her face. Following the daily routine she picked up from her stay, she put on her blue qui pao dress, ate, and sat down on the couch. It was dark outside, but tonight she decided not to train as she had in the past three weeks.

Every night she trained with her partner Paul Phoenix. She considered him a partner more than a friend. They spoke about training methods, and her lack of fun. In her lifetime, she never made friends because of how hardened her personality was. The Paul Phoenix situation was no different. She avoided getting close to anyone because she liked to appear strong. Her father influenced her way of being. Since she had no mother because her mother passed away when she was a child, her behavior mimicked her father's fierceness. He was a no nonsense Giant who scared nasty treasure hunters to their deaths. She believed killing was wrong and would not follow her father's footsteps in that regard. It was his fearlessness she honored. Seeing her father as a rough Giant, she wanted to be like him, therefore, she ignored her feminine needs.

She sat silently on the couch and deep in thought. Her eyes gazed at an empty vase that stood on glass table. The boring vase symbolized her non eventful last month. To engulf in her boredom, she leaned her face against the palm of her hand as her elbow rested on her knee. She was scrunched over in a poor seating posture because she hated waiting. She refused to go to the gym because she felt like nothing would change. The training was fun with Paul Phoenix, but she needed more. The life of a house prisoner was not what she had in mind.

At the door, loud banging was heard. Her eyes blinked to refocus her attention on her surroundings. After blinking and snapping out of her gazing state, she looked over at the door. She sighed because she disliked being interrupted.

{Who could it be at this time? No one knows I live here.} It was then realized that it could be Gatz. With widened eyes and a smile on her face, she rose from the couch and ran swiftly to the door. If it was him, she was saved from the tormenting boredom that was her life.

She hurried to the door. Once she reached the door, she forgot her manners and opened it with urgency. The door swung open and almost hit in her the process, but she was too excited to care. After the door was opened, she smiled. She smiled because she expected it to be Gatz. Her bright smile faded when she noticed who it was. It was not Gatz. It was another visitor who found out where she lived.

"Oh, it is you." Her response hinted at her disappointment.

Paul Phoenix held a bag in his hand while he waited for Chichi to answer the door. For a moment, he thought he got the wrong apartment room number. He was right though. When the door swung open, he was relieved that he got the right room. He saw Chichi's smile which meant he was not in trouble. Chichi was in a cheerful mood or so he thought until her smile faded when she realized it was him. It was true that he found out where she lived, but it was because she mentioned she lived in the apartment complex where the gym was located. Naturally, he used the little brains he had and asked the front desk for the room number. It was under her name. What he failed to realize is that the room was not hers. Nevertheless, he was at her apartment to give her some company. Ignoring her sudden mood swing, he greeted her.

"Hello Chichi. I came back to check on how you were doing. I have some grub here if you're hungry." He said in his raspy, yet husky voice.

She heard his kind gesture. She looked at the biker outfit that he wore when they first met. He must have not wanted to train either. Sighing away her disappointment about Paul not being Gatz, she nodded at his comment. She avoided asking him how he found her room. It had not mattered anyway.

"Thank you for bringing breakfast. I am not in the mood to train Paul, but come in." She left the door opened and walked over to the couch.

Paul stepped into the room and shut the door. He walked over to Chichi. With one motion, he took out the food from the bag and placed the food on the glass table. There were two ham and cheese bagels. Since he did not take Chichi for a coffee person, he brought her water instead. He sat himself comfortably next to Chichi. His large, muscular frame took most of the two seated couch, but he hadn't noticed.

"Don't worry about training even the Toughest in the Universe have to rest." He handed her the bagel. After offering, he grabbed his bagel and took a big bite.

Her two hands grabbed the bagel that Paul offered. She looked at it innocently. While she studied it, Paul sat down on the couch next to her. She scooted over to give him enough room to sit. He must have not noticed that his bulky frame hogged the couch. Since he was nice enough to buy her breakfast, she kept from pestering him about manners especially after he bit into the bagel like it was nothing more than a snack.

Silently, she nibbled the bagel to test out the taste. In her village, she never ate a bagel so the taste was unique and surprisingly good.

"Thank you for this breakfast." She said politely.

Paul sipped on his cup of coffee. Hearing her thank you, he waved his hand that signified it was not a problem.

"No problem." He responded while he chewed loudly with his chiseled, beard covered jaws. Then, like most men did, he leaned back on the couch and made himself comfortable. His legs remained apart while his arm rested on his side's armrest. He wondered why Chichi was quiet. Regardless, he enjoyed the company especially after they became training partners. He was not looking for anything other then friendship, but it was nice having her around.

While eating her bagel, she scooted to the edge of the couch because Paul made himself comfortable. His large size occupied most of the couch. She had not acknowledged his bad table manners for the sake of being polite. Seeing that he finished his bagel, she kept silent to let him talk. He must have had a reason for seeing her at the apartment room rather than at the gym. If so, she wanted to know why. Therefore, she busied herself with the breakfast he brought her. Paul was not the type to keep to himself which meant his motive for visiting her would be revealed eventually.

Paul glanced over at Chichi while she ate. He remained leaned back to study her. Like a typical man, he hadn't noticed her scrunched position because his bulky size occupied most of the couch. It was normal, every day business for him. Being around men and brutal women all the time, he never controlled himself. Watching her eat, was interesting. She nibbled the bagel and ate with sophistication. It was strange how a woman as tough as her could eat so fancy. He'd never seen it before.

Since it was quiet, he decided to break the silence with a question that most would have known NOT to ask.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" He asked bluntly.

She almost choked on a piece of bagel when Paul asked about her personal life. Was he serious?

"Have you ever been married?" Paul thought he was not clear enough with his question. It was probable that she was married, but he asked to make sure.

She grabbed the bottle of water and drank some of it to keep herself from choking to death from the bagel. His random question caught her by surprise. She had not know what to think or say. Placing the bagel on the table, she looked at Paul with distraught as if he was an alien.

"I-I do not have a boyfriend." Her voice squeaked during her answer. She acted embarrassed like a little girl being told she had a crush on some boy. After she responded, she laughed to ease the awkwardness of the question. What was he getting at anyway? To prove that she was honest, she further explained why she was single.

"I am not allowed to date anyway." She said truthfully because her father was strict. He would not allow anyone to marry her unless they were stronger than him. Most men on Earth were not.

Paul was surprised, but knowing how conservative she was he hadn't questioned her sincerity. This was his first encounter with a mid twenties woman who was unable to date. He wondered if it was because she was too strong for most men. It was the only reason he could think of as to why a woman as special as Chichi remained single.

"A woman like you not having a boyfriend? Well that is a first." He kept comfy in the couch. Picking up his coffee, he sipped some more of it. He felt comfortable even after the question. His cool attitude was an inspiration to most men. It probably caught Chichi off guard too.

"Why do you ask?" Her brows furrowed together with confusion after she asked why he bothered to ask if she was dating. The fact that someone had asked about her personal life was strange. In most cases, she would have knocked the individual to the moon, yet with Paul it was different. It was different because he had a coolness to his question as if he truly did not want to offend her. Not to mention, she knew who he was after training weeks with him.

Paul kept relaxed even with her question.

"I thought you would be dating someone considering you got all the right assets. Most innocent women like you are either taken or married. Why do you think you don't have a boyfriend? It's probably because you kick all their asses right?" This was a question for her to answer, but he had a hunch as to why she wasn't. She mentioned she was not allowed to, and he wanted to know why. Since they were not training, he wanted to understand her better.

"I guess that's part of the reason." She said with uncertainty when Paul tried to understand why she was not with someone.

She was placed on the spot about why she was single. When Paul complimented her assets, she tried not to overreact or blush at the rare compliment. While she was told she was married to someone named Goku by Goten, she was not. She never went on a date or had a boyfriend. The strange conversation was one she wished was never brought up because she felt embarrassed. Most would have changed the subject if they were uncomfortable with it, but she stayed strong. His curiosity was valid. Despite that a proper woman like herself never kissed and told, she had nothing to hide because there was no one in her life like Paul may have pictured, therefore, she replied respectfully.

"I'm not allowed to date because my father is strict. He thinks that whoever marries me should be someone stronger than him." This was the truth. There were no humans that fit that role which meant her father's expectation made it impossible for her to be with someone. Not to mention, she had not fallen for anyone. If she were to marry, it would only be for love.

Paul leaned forward when she commented about her father. Her father was tough from what she said which explained her abilities and why she was single. He liked her dad already.

"It's better to ride solo anyway. Sometimes love can get in the way of training." He said as if he experienced it before. While he was interested in Chichi, he was not ready to jump into any commitments. Her companionship was more of what he needed. He liked that he could talk about training and could be himself around her. On the flip side, his charming goofiness helped her to lighten up.

When he leaned forward to give her his full attention, she watched him. He mentioned how being alone was better because having someone distracted some individuals from training. He did not look like the type of man who settled in one place for long. It was his biker outfit that indicated that he traveled everywhere. Was it the same for her? Was she supposed to be alone for the remainder of her life? It was not the end of the world, but it was a thought that lingered. The conversation became depressing and too mentally draining for her current mood. Since she wanted to end the subject about dating, she agreed with him.

"You're probably right." She agreed with him. Though she was proud of herself, she knew there were not many men who could put up with her temperament. It was likely a good trait to have.

Paul and Chichi assumed they were alone, but they were not because someone was watching. From the balcony of the apartment room, a furious beast observed them. His cheek pressed against the railing in a a crouched position. He was like a lion ready to fight for his territory against a potential threat. The mysterious individual did not look happy. He stayed silent while his eyes pierced through the glass. Patiently, he waited for a chance to break in. His jaw muscles tensed with rage as he leaned in for a closer look. Whoever the man was inside, with what symbolically represented his lioness and territory, was in for a hell of pain.

The enraged man outside on the balcony stared coldly at the pair on his couch. His ability to be undetected and ninja-like made him dangerous.

While Chichi sat next to Paul, the blood in her veins turned cold like she had been poisoned. The eerie feeling that someone was watching them tugged at her female intuition. To ease herself, she turned and looked in the direction of the balcony. She saw nothing.

She was right to trust her instincts, but the moment she saw no one she turned away from the balcony and sighed in relief.

The man, who watched them, hid from her line of sight to avoid frightening her. He pressed his back against the wall when she looked in his direction. Once she looked away, he went back to observing. His glare set on the leather wearing freak who sat next to Chichi. The unwanted guest had no idea that the owner of the apartment was a killer android who happened to like the woman inside. If the guest was there to take what was his, he was a dead man.

Paul leaned back on the cough again. He appeared as if nothing could ruin his cool attitude. He was too relaxed for his own good because he failed to see that his female partner was on the edge. Dwelling in the silence, he had no clue that he was about to fight for his life from someone who was a cold blooded killer. Paul was similar to Chichi because he feared nothing. With his composed personality, he was exposed to forgetting his surroundings and putting himself into situations that most dreaded. Paul was a do-it-all man so his confidence was obvious His confidence was seen as a challenge for the vicious beast who waited to pounce on his unexpected victim.

The eerie mood got to her. Feeling tense for an unexplained reason, she decided to stretch her legs.

"Will you excuse me Paul? I am going to the bathroom." She stood from the couch and walked away to wash her hands. Unknowingly, it was a bad mistake to leave Paul alone.

"Sure thing." Paul responded casually.

Paul, who was comfortable, eyed Chichi's movements to the bathroom. Once she was gone, he rested the back of his head against the cushion of the couch. Quietly, he stared at the ceiling and yawned in boredom. The room was peaceful and unlike Chichi he was able to relax. He was capable of relaxing because he was clueless that he was being hunted.

The opportunity that the man on the balcony waited for presented itself. The killer rose to his full height when he noticed Chichi get up from the couch and walk away. This was his chance.

"Fucker, I'm going to kill your ass." He clenched his fist and gritted his teeth with aggression.

In a flash, the calm scene turned violent.

"What the!" Paul's husky tone bellowed. The glass doors that led into the apartment from the balcony shattered. It was loud and unexpected. Paul's surroundings slowed down when shards of glass slid across the floor. He clenched his fist ready to fight whoever caused it. Feeling endangered, he rose from the couch with his blue eyes set on the balcony where the glass doors were destroyed from.

The moment he stood up he was tackled into the couch. The couch toppled over with the two men rolling across the wooden floor. For the time being, the intruder had the upper hand because of his surprise attack.

"Fucker!" The intruder roared for the entire apartment floor to hear. He wanted everyone in the area to know he was angry. After tackling the biker into the couch that toppled over, he turned his rage into violence. He had a fist full of the fallen victim's shirt. While on top of the biker, he slugged the mofo across the face twice. He managed to get two hits in that instigated a brutal battle. There was no mercy from the cold blooded intruder.

Paul would not be taken down lightly. He got punched twice across the face. One of the punches cut his lip open. Tasting his blood, he became mad too. His survival instincts kicked in. When he was tackled onto his back and punched twice, he went on the defensive. He grabbed the intruder's fist and used his brute strength to get back onto his feet. Then he pushed the intruder for separation in order to collect himself. Soon enough, the both of them were on their feet and ready to rumble.

"So you want a piece of the toughest in the universe?" Paul grew tired of staring and no action, therefore, he kicked the intruder in the gut with his giant, black boot. He watched the intruder stumble back, but he did not stop with the kick. After he kicked the intruder in the gut, he followed the stumbling perpetrator to strike him again.

Meanwhile, Chichi was staring at herself in the mirror when she heard the glass break from inside the bathroom. She gasped in shock and rushed into the living room where she witnessed a man tackle Paul into the couch. She was unable to sense the man's life force. Instantaneously, she recognized who the man was.

"Gatz no!" She shouted hoping he would stop. Unfortunately, her plea went unheard. She watched as both men were determined to pummel one other into the floor. Skillfully, the two of them got back onto their feet and continued to brawl.

Gatz was forced back onto his feet by the biker. When he got back onto his feet, he was kicked in the gut that sent him stumbling backwards. He knew that the biker would not back down, but neither would he. After getting kicked, he regained his composure and waited for the leather wearing freak to attack again.

"I'm going to kill you." As expected, the leather wearing freak attacked again, but this time with a punch. Gatz was prepared for it. He stopped Paul's punch with his hand. Gritting his teeth to emphasize his rage after he caught Paul's punch, he used his free fist and rammed it into Paul's gut.

This time it was Paul who stumbled back from a punch, but he was far from fatigued. With his adrenaline kicked in, he felt no pain from the shot to his gut. He was in for a fight. He knew this fight would be ugly. Knowing how gruesome the fight would be, he cracked his neck and readied himself to take on Gatz's assault.

"Not if I kick you ass first. Believe me when I say I'm going to kick your ass." He threatened because he hated being sneak attacked. After he warned Gatz, he went on the offensive. He swung at Gatz again with vicious jabs that were capable of breaking jaws.

"Paul stop this!" Once again, she was ignored as the two men were determined to out muscle each other. She rolled her eyes at their inability to listen.

In return, Gatz jammed his armored plated forearms into the jabs that Paul attacked with. Gatz defended them aggressively to the point that Paul had cuts on his fists. Gatz arms were bruised to the bone even with the plated armor he wore on his forearms. The both of them took heavy damage, yet seemed to not notice.

"Why does this always happen to me?" Her eyes widened when Paul fell on top of the glass table that was instantly crashed in from his weight. Rushing to his aid, she stopped herself when he rose back onto his feet and uppercut Gatz across the chin. Gatz'z back hit the wall, but he recovered immediately. He was too mad to feel pain. She looked on anxiously as both attacked one another. Regrettably, she was forced to watch and listen to the barbaric battle inside the apartment. Paul's fists were followed by grunts, but blocked by Gatz's snarls. When Gatz spotted an opening, while pressed against the wall, he returned Paul's punches two fold. The battle, inside the apartment, turned into a slug fest as both fighters swung wild fists determined to come out victorious. She had enough. Seeing the two men punch one another and not backing down in the slightest, she decided she would break it up by getting in between them.

"Stop it! Stop it right now!" She demanded at Gatz and Paul. Then, being bold, she stepped in between the two infuriated men who stopped the second they saw her in their paths.

"Chichi don't get involved." Gatz glared down at her to get her to move because this fight was between Paul and himself. Slowly, his chilling eyes set their sight back onto Paul.

Paul lightly pushed Chichi aside because he did not want her involved either. Gatz cheap attacked him, and he was not about to let the asshole go without teaching him a lesson about messing with the Toughest in the Universe.

"Step aside Chichi. I am got to kick this guy's ass." He put his fists up. Not once, had he glanced over to his female partner to check if she was okay with him fighting.

"I'm not going anywhere. You two need to stop this." She pleaded to the point that her feminine voice cracked because they could be injured or even killed. Looking at Gatz's eyes, she saw how set he was set on killing Paul. This could not happen, and she refused to let it. Unfortunately, it was out of her control. A hand was placed onto her shoulder. When Paul guided her away from the confrontation, he was left open for attack. She stepped forward to put herself in between the two men before they could start fighting again, but it was too late. Gatz watched Paul's hand touch Chichi's shoulder, and it set him off like a bomb. Opportunistically, Gatz's lunged forward at Paul after Chichi was moved to the side. The power struggle continued where it left off.

"You two are impossible!" She shouted in irritation. Her irritated expression turned to one of guilt. Her frown was an indication that the fight was beyond her control, and she felt responsible for it.

Seeing Paul touch Chichi and lightly push her aside, he snapped. The second Chichi was placed aside he tackled the biker through the door and into the hallway. The door had no chance. With Gatz's brute strength and Paul's mass, the door broke cleanly off. Gatz's strength behind the tackle took more than the door. There were pieces of the wall that crumbled onto the carpeted hallway, yet the two did not care to notice.

Gatz positioned himself on top of Paul and into the power position. He punched downward at the fallen biker. He was uncaring if the leather wearing man was prepared. Punching downward like a hammer, his fists were like dropping boulders. The sound of loud thumping echoed against the walls of the hallway as Gatz's fists hit his adversary.

Paul landed on top the door which broke in half from his weight. There was a tinge of pain he felt come from his spine, but his focus was intact. He took shots to the chest. Being bruised in the process of being punched, he ignored the pain to fend off his opponent. Instinctively, he put his knee in between their bodies. Then he grabbed a handful of Gatz's shirt and lifted Gatz's off his body enough for his bent leg to extend. By extending his leg, he was then able to kick Gatz off of him.

The "Great Android Terror" was kicked off Paul. He front rolled and used the forward momentum to get back onto his feet. The two warriors currently stood in the middle of the hallway, but their break was short lived. When Gatz swiftly got onto his feet, he was met with Paul's fist. A bit of Gatz's blood and saliva flew from his face after getting slugged with a callous punch, but being an android he was impervious to pain. His hand wiped the red contents that dripped from his nostrils. Seeing the tinge of red, his need to kill became stronger. A sadistic smirk spread across his lips at the sight of his blood because it excited him. He looked at his opponent with ruthlessness. There was no chance for mercy and especially not after his blood had been spilled.

Paul continued on the offensive and ignored Gatz's psychopathic tendencies. After he punched Gatz, he tackled him through a door. This time it was the door that led into another apartment room. In the apartment, two people were on the bed watching t.v. While they watched t.v, Paul's and Gat'z bodies tumbled into the room and in front of the large television.

A shriek followed after the two men fell through the door and into the apartment.

"What the fuck!" The boyfriend shielded his girlfriend from the debris that fractured onto their bed from the aftermath of two men crashing inside.

Gatz and Paul scrambled to their feet because both wanted to get the upper hand after crashing into the apartment room. Their separation was short lived. Once they controlled their tumbling bodies, they attacked one another. They were oblivious to the fact that they were in someone else's room. Their hands reached for one another's collars. With neither one wanting to give in, they took turns slamming one another into the apartment room's walls. Every time Gatz's or Paul's hardened backsides were rammed into a wall chunks and white, paint dust of debris littered the room. The nice apartment was trashed in a matter of seconds, and the couple in the bed watched helplessly as the struggle between the beasts waged on.

"Ugh! Why are men so ..." Suddenly, she heard a siren sound outside.

"What was that?" She questioned in dismay. Forgetting about the two men who refused to listen to her anyway, she hurried to the balcony to get a look as to where the alarm came from.

"Oh my goodness.." She gasped with dread.

As she stood on the balcony of the apartment, military tanks, mobile suits, heavily armed soldiers, and screaming crowds were what she witnessed. In the background, flames erupted to the skies from the burning buildings that were the first victims of the group of delinquents that rolled into Central City. The screams of people shrilled her insides. They ran in the opposite direction to avoid the evil that strolled in. They ran for their lives, but she was too frozen in curiosity to do the same.

Her black eyes looked on in awe at the amount of troublemakers that were now an organized terror group. She wondered if any parents were responsible anymore.

“..And this is what I was afraid of. Now there is an army of delinquents.” She commented to herself. The demonizing flames in the distance reflected in her large, black pupils. The sky blackened from the smoke. It was like Central City became the battle ground from HFIL. Exhaling profoundly, the realization that everyone was endangered took over mind. She was no hero and for this reason, she worried that many would die including herself.

Though she was not afraid of anyone or anything, this problem was not her's alone to face. Everyone in the city had a dilemma. Instead of jumping down to aid the ones who were frightened, she stood on the balcony and remained silent. For now, all she could do was observe helplessly.

The militants who strolled into Central City were led by a General who stood on top of a metal fortress. His tank led the parading army into the streets of the city. The oversized tanks were destructive even while not attacking. As the vehicles rolled in, chunks of glass and cement from towering buildings crashed onto pavement. If anyone was unfortunately in the area, they'd certainly be crushed.

Once the general's entire force was inside the compounds of the city, he raised his arm into the sky. It was as if the militants were connected and unified. In one instant, the massive army stopped. When he raised his hand, the beast-like vehicles rolled to a stop, and the soldiers halted at the same time.

She never saw this before. Growing in a small village, the sight of an army was new to her. She remained speechless. Her mouth gaped in wonderment while her eyes twinkled in fascination. Her fascination was not because she enjoyed the sight of destruction, but it was incredible how organized the group of delinquents were. Even though she was positive they planned on evil, she could not help, but marvel at the organized manpower. Unlike her, the citizens of Central City ran along the sidewalks away from the danger. The heavily populated city was in chaos. The thought of running came to mind because those who ran were smart, but her legs refused to move.

The well dressed, maroon uniform wearing, yet formidable General pulled out a microphone. He wanted everyone in Central City to listen to what he had to say.

Posted Image

“Hello citizens of Central City this is General Ex of the Red Ribbon Elite. I have come to inform you that Central City is now a part of our empire. Now none of you will have anything to fear as long as you listen to our demands. If you surrender now, you will all be under the protection of me.” He paused for a moment and glanced at his surroundings. There was no one in his line of vision. The people were too frightened to come out or ran away. Smirking to himself, he had a pleasant, tingling warmth his heart from the chilling shrieks that pierced his ear drums. He loved the sound of fear. The helpless screams made him feel powerful. There was no better feeling than power.

The screams of people were heard even while the General spoke because no one seemed to believe the his promises. She listened intently to read him. From what she sensed of the fearsome leader, he was lying about not harming anyone. His charismatic appearance masked his black heart perfectly, but she was not fooled.

Who is this guy kidding? Ugh, his parents probably didn't give him enough spankings as a kid.” She was frustrated at the lack of discipline parents instilled in their children. The General was a direct result of bad parenting, and she was sure of it. Though she was not a parent, or so she believed herself not to be, it offended her moral upbringing. She was raised to have manners and to behave well, therefore, the vigilantism was not amusing to her.

The citizens of Central City ignored the General's peace offering and scrammed from the area. This action resulted in the General's patient and calm demeanor to be replaced with annoyance. In order to control the chaotic situation, he'd have to display his might.

“If you fail to cooperate, I will have no choice, but to do this the hard way.” The hard manner included violence and destruction. Mentally, he thought of it as the more fun of the two options. Seemingly, no one paid attention to his threat and the screams continued. He shrugged at their lack of intelligence. Since he had no conscience, he had no difficulty deciding the fate of the city.

“Okay men. I guess these pitiful people don't listen well. You know what to do. Fire when ready.” He stood firm on his metal fortress. He knew there was no threat in the area. The burning buildings behind him were the remnants of the police force that protected the city. He strategically had them destroyed first. With the power and strength in numbers, the police force of Central City was terminated within minutes. What was left were the citizens who were defenseless.

Once he gave the command, his soldiers performed the rest. The tanks aimed their long canons at the closest buildings while soldiers on foot charged forward. They aimed their high powered rifles at fleeing citizens. In unison, the soldiers fired at will.

Some people were shot on the spot and their bodies were trampled by the stampede of scared folk. The closest buildings were damaged by the long canons from the tanks. It was mayhem.

“No!” She exclaimed. Her voice was drowned out by the sounds of gunfire and explosions. She covered her face in disbelief. From covering her face, she failed to see that one of the tanks aimed right at the balcony where she stood.

The operators in the tank did not hesitate to fire. Out of the long barrel, a torpedo shot out and hit the balcony head on with Chichi still on it. It collapsed underneath her.

She fell with the rubble and landed harshly on her side. Instinctively, she covered her head as the chunks from the destroyed balcony crashed alongside her. The sudden impact of her body hitting the pavement knocked the wind out of her lungs. If she was a normal person, she would have been injured immensely. However, her super human endurance kept her unharmed from the treacherous fall.

Once the remnants of the balcony had fallen, she stood up. While standing, she then wiped the dust off her blue Qui Pao and focused on the tank that attacked her.

“Alright, that does it. Now I'm mad.” She clenched her fists and ran into the middle of the street after the footed soldiers moved forward to attack the rest of the city's citizens. Since she was vastly outnumbered, she had no choice, but to set her attention on the tanks that were fewer in number. Not to mention, one of them attacked her which made it personal

Skidding to halt on the street, her narrowed eyes were set on the ten tanks that were lined in an orderly fashion.

“Look, I don't know where you busters came from, but I have you know that I like this city. I suggest you turn around or else I may have to teach you a lesson.” Her voice was loud enough to be heard even with the gunfire noise in the background. Whether the tank operators listened, was another story. She bravely stood her ground and awaited a response.

The tank operators heard a faint voice sound in their computerized systems. While inside, they clicked on several buttons to pinpoint where it had come from. The advanced system had no trouble finding who it was from. In an instant, the woman's face appeared on their monitors. They turned knobs on the motherboard to boost the volume. Hearing what she had said, the tank operators laughed in unison.

“This female is too much isn't she? General Ex will have fun with her.” The operators from the tank directly behind the General's amused themselves. Their tank was strategically number one because of their skill level.

General Ex saw a woman in a blue dress charge in front of his tanks. He folded his arms arrogantly, and he smirked humorously because the one citizen who paid attention to him was a female. In his experience, women lacked listening skills. She seemed angry too which further humored him. When she threatened him, he brushed it aside.

“You look lost woman. Would you like some directions?” He tried to sound polite, but it was meant to be demeaning.

“Wait a minute..I think I've seen that woman somewhere before.” A operator from tank one commented. Then, like a good soldier would, he used the technological advances in the tank to do a face scan. The computer screen beeped when it searched through the Earth's databases in which the Red Ribbon Elite stole the rights too. After a minute, the computer matched the woman's face with her name and address.

“We have an exact facial DNA match. Her name is Chichi and she is from Fire Mountain. Her father is the Ox King.”

The operator's partner in tank one was shocked.

“Holy shit! You mean the one we had to find eventually? She is one of our objectives isn't she? Man, today is our lucky day. We just killed two birds with one stone. The General is going to love this.” He grabbed a communicator and relayed the information to his General.

“I am not the one lost you idiot. You are! After I am done hurting you, you'll be able to find your way again.” She said with her trademark sarcasm.

“Ah, funny very funny. If I had a body for every time someone said that to me, you'd be looking at a graveyard....Well there is actually a lot of graveyards under my name and this city will be another one to my collection.” Ex chuckled at her heroics. She was too prideful and stupid to realize she was outclassed.

Her black eyes darkened at his comment. Her narrowed eyed expression became more fierce after his monstrous comeback. Before she could call him a monster, she was interrupted by a beeping sound that had come from the General's pocket.

Ex's pocket beeped. He reached for his communicator and put it to his ear.

“What is it? This better be good.” He sounded impatient because the woman got under his skin with her provocative attitude. She was too confident for her own good, but before he could take her out of existence, business needed to be taken care of first.

“You’ll like this Sir. The woman in front of you is named Chichi. She is part of our objectives.” The tank operator said with excitement. He knew the discovery of one of their objectives would give him a promotion.

General Ex became intrigued by the news the tank operator gave him.

“Oh really? Well, well, well this is my lucky day.” He chuckled and turned off his communicator.

Chichi’s fierce eyes watched the General carefully. She did not understand why he considered it a lucky day. She was about to teach him a lesson. For this reason, he would change his mind because his day would bad. As she stood in the middle of the street, a war waged a mile away from where she stood.

The once proud Central City looked like a dusty wasteland as smoke from buildings polluted the skies. It was dark and hard to see with the ashes. Within the city, citizens fought for their lives as the footed soldiers shot anyone in sight. Even with the howls of agony, General Ex kept a smile on his face. She was disgusted by his attitude.

General Ex looked at Chichi who stood bravely in front of his tanks. He stood high and mighty on top of his metal fortress seemingly unafraid of the woman before him.

“Well my dear this seems to be good news for you. It appears my higher ups want you alive.” With his arms folded, he thought bringing Chichi in would be a piece of cake. He saw her as nothing more than a pesky woman who needed to be taught her place. He saw no value in her, yet he was designed to listen to his higher ups. He put aside his initial need to destroy the woman where she stood.

“It’s sad really. I was looking forward to shutting up that pretty mouth of yours.” He chuckled evilly.

{Why do they want me?} She thought to herself. Was this destruction because of her? While she was not the most caring person, her heart was pure. The thought of the death around her being caused by her was troublesome.

“I don’t even consider you that important Chichi, but hey I was made to follow orders.” He shrugged nonchalantly. He would do as he was told, but that did not mean he could not have fun. Noticing her prissy personality, he knew she would not give up easily.

“I see two ways of doing this. We can do this the easy way where you give yourself up or we can do this the hard way? Your choice.” His white, barren eyes seemed to symbolically smile at Chichi because he already knew her decision. He waited for it.

She stood firm and upright in front of the tanks. When the General gave her two options, it was obvious that she would not be taken without a fight.

“There is no way I am going with you. You’re a monster, and I am going to beat the ugly out of you. I hope you like black and blue because you’re going to be wearing for it awhile.” The remark set the battle for her life in motion.

General Ex laughed because she was predictable. He liked her spunk because he’d get to have fun.

“Ah, well don’t say I didn’t warn you.” Waving his arm forward, the ten tanks behind him aimed their long barrels at Chichi.

She watched the ten tanks aim their long canons at her. The operators inside anxiously waited for their General’s command. Nervously, she took one step back. Since they wanted her alive, she knew they would not fire. However, she needed to rid herself of the numbers. To the tank operators and the General, she looked terrified, but that was not the case. Mentally, she had her first move already planned.

The General saw Chichi as a lamb within wolves.

“What’s the matter? Did you lose your tongue woman? Where is that braveness in you?” He laughed after his comment. His laughter echoed into the dusty skies. This moment was fun for him.

Her arm reached behind and grasped the handle of her bansho fan. With her eyes appearing terrified, the tank operators and the general did not expect her to unleash a surprised attack.

“Does this mean you are giving up my fair lady?” He grew bored of her fear. The sooner she gave up the sooner he could join his troops in destroying Central City.

Her watery, fearful-like eyes narrowed, and she turned into the menacing woman most were afraid of.

“Not on your life pal!” She yelled with power. Pulling the bansho fan from her back, she swung it with the might of ten thousand baseball players. The strength behind the swing set free a formidable gust that transformed into a tornado. The category 5 tornado moved forward into the unsuspecting tank operators.

“What the hell?” The General was taken aback by Chichi’s sudden attack on the tanks behind him.

“MAYDAY MAYDAY!” The panicked tank operators pushed the controls frantically. While inside, they searched for a way to stop the hellish tornado from ending them. They had no chance to fend the attack. Within moments, the tanks were lifted and blown into the sky. Sheets of metal tore off the deemed “ indestructible” vehicles once they entered the eye of the tornado. Eventually, the gust blew all the tanks outside Central City which left the General alone with his metal fortress.

His teeth clenched at the sight of his tank army being puffed away like pieces of paper. He underestimated the woman, but she would certainly pay for her decision to strike back. He was the enforcer of the Red Ribbon Elite, and she would soon realize she had no chance of winning against him.

“It seems I underestimated you woman.” Unfolding his arms, he hopped off his tank and landed on the street a distance from Chichi.

She held the bansho fan at her side and stood tall. After seeing the tanks be blustered to bits, she glared at the General who appeared unfazed by what she had done to his army of tanks. He was worse than a monster. By looking into his unnerving eyes, she saw that he was soulless.

Gusts from the fires of burning buildings blew at her lengthy, black hair. The hellish setting foreshadowed that a vicious battle would begin and end within the once beautiful Central City. From Chichi’s perspective, she was either going to be set free or die because she refused to be taken by General Ex alive.

Gripping the handle of her bansho fan firmly, she glared at the General who stood ten feet in front of her. He was an intimidating figure to most, but to her he was nothing more than a monster that she had to take down. She waited for him to make a move. Standing her ground, she was prepared for what he may do.

General Ex rested his arms at his sides. He stared at Chichi who lacked fear in his presence. He’d have to change that.

“Today will be a glorious day. You want to know why?” He brought his arm up to his face and balled his hand into a fist. Since she remained silent, he answered for her.

“Death, destruction, and I get to scare the hell out of you. I’ll crush you girl!” He hollered and then charged at Chichi. The manner in how he charged was not brutal in the slightest. His toes glided horizontally from the black pavement and were inches from scraping against the surface. With impressive control, he was able to maneuver his large body as if he were a slim ballerina.

Her eyes widened at how fast and light he was. It was unanticipated. Watching him drift rapidly, he closed the gap between them in a split second. At the start of the fight, she was already on the defensive.

“Let me show you what happens when you mess with General Ex!” He sent a punch at Chichi’s midsection. An invisible shockwave blasted from his fist. It shattered car windows and shop windows.

The devastating punch would have knocked out a normal human, but she was able to protect herself in time. She crossed her arm in an x formation and raised her knee up to her stomach chest to guard the punch directed at her midsection. The moment he punched the shockwave sent her reeling backwards.

“So do you have some fight in you? I guess that’s why my higher ups want you to bad you won’t go back as cleanly as they would like.” When she was sent staggering, he landed on the floor and walked after her condescendingly. He was unconcerned with her ability to defend.

{I can’t detect this guy’s movements. Is he another alien?} Mentally, she hated the fact that another alien had come to Planet Earth, but there was no time to dwell in her dislike for outer space beings. Her forearms were red from the destructive punch aimed for her gut. After stumbling, she regained her composure and swung her bansho fan to blow the General backwards. She wanted to give herself time, but unfortunately her strategy failed.

Before Chichi had a chance to use the contraption she had used against his tanks, he vanished and appeared right next to her. He grabbed her wrist and crushed it within his grasp causing her to drop the weapon.

She yelped when the Ex's grip tightened around her slender wrist. His bear-trap grip was unreal. Feeling unbearable pain, she was forced to let go of her feather weight weapon. It descended onto the pavement leaving her weaponless. In desperation, she dropped to one knee because she wanted to relieve the stress on her wrist. At the moment of her going on one knee, it did not look good for her.

“Playing with toys is for the weak girl.” He laughed menacingly because he watched Chichi fall onto one knee from the pressure he applied to her fragile wrist.

“The only thing that makes me weak……is your bad breath!” Her voice strained from the pain, but she attacked with ferocity. While he had her wrist in his grasp, she used her leg strength to stand tall enough for her foot to stomp downward onto the General’s knee. His knee was biologically similar to those of humans which meant it was a weak spot. Luckily, the desperation maneuver worked like a charm, and she was able to break free.

The General cursed when her boot drove into his knee. He released her the second he was struck, but his pain lasted briefly. After she stomped into him, he reacted aggressively. Instantly, he grabbed her shoulders and threw her like a sack of potatoes. He laughed at how far he had tossed her.

His sudden recovery was too fast for her to react. Unable to sense his movements, she was caught off guard again. This time it cost her. She was grabbed by her shoulders and chucked. Unable to stop herself, she crashed into the closest object. Her body slammed into a car windshield. The windshield’s glass left small cuts on her cheeks and tore parts of her clothing. She struggled to get onto her feet while on the hood of the car. She appeared to be defenseless. It looked like she was finished.

Ex wasted no time in hopping onto the hood of the car. The car’s hood indented from his weight.

“Are you done yet?” He bent and reached for her hair. He wanted to get a good look at her grimacing face.

While it looked like she was severely injured, it was an act. The cuts on her face and torn clothes were the least of her problems. She was hurt, but it was not enough to keep her down.

“Not even close!” The spunky heroine shouted. Along with her comeback, she kicked the back of his knee which caused the General to collapse onto his ass and onto the hood of the car. His mass flattened the car like a pancake. With the car flattened, she rolled off to the side to avoid coming in contact with the General. She made a run for it to let her pain subside.

General Ex growled in anger and pushed himself onto his feet after he was tripped by Chichi. She had more fight than he expected. Seeing her limp down the street, he went after her.

“Where do you think you’re going? You’re not going anywhere!” He sprinted towards her before she could get any further. Catching up to her, he grabbed her shoulder and spun her so that she faced him. He pulled his fist back to punch her in the face.

Regaining her balance after the car incident, she rose onto her feet and limped onto the street. Her back was turned to the General, but his voice alerted her to his attack. His voice wasn’t the only action that warned her to defend. She was grabbed by the shoulder and turned to face the monster.

“Get away from me you freak!” She demanded. He went for a punch. With expertise, her forearm knocked his outstretched arm to the side. By hitting his arm to the side, she had an opening to strike his bare chest. She used her free arm to strike. First, she struck upward into his chin with her trademark open palm strike. Then, after hitting him in the chin, she drove her palm into his chest that knocked him backwards.

“What the!” His head snapped back from the open palm strike to his chin, but she was not finished with her combo. He tried to protect himself. From underestimating her martial arts ability, he was in for trouble. He took the shot to the chin like a boxer. After being hit in the face, he was clobbered in the chest and sent staggering into a mail box. The mail box stopped him from falling. His chin was cut. Feeling the blood drip off his face, he wiped it with his hand. He then looked at his hand. He saw the blood and smirked. Up until getting hit in the chin and chest, he had not used his full power. It was time. Tasting his blood, he then dashed at Chichi and was set on causing her pain.

“It’s time for round three. You won't last” He said thrilled because he knew she had no chance of taking him on full powered. It was only a matter of time before she wore down. Soon enough, she would see how hopeless this battle was.

Successfully, she fended him off. She knew he was far from finished. Foolishly, she made the mistake of turning her back to him during the fight. It was her lack of battles, outside of tournament rings, that made her believe she had time to gather herself. There was no honor in a fight like this, and she had to remember it. She examined the General after he hit the mail box to see how he would react. The tiny cuts on her face bled down her cheek. When she saw him lick his blood, she was disgusted.

“Ew! You’re sick!” She almost vomited at the sight, yet was unable to think about the scene for too long because she had to defend herself from the monster’s combos. Her masterful skill in hand to hand combat is what kept her from being overwhelmed by the General's power. Unknowingly, General Ex increased his level to maximum. She was overpowered in every category, and it would soon show.

He came after her for a third time, and this time at his maximum. Until this point, he toyed with her which caused her to believe she had a chance. This time he started his attack with a round house kick directed at her rib cage. His kick was then followed by a series of uppercuts, jabs, and elbow strikes. The both of them seemed to disappear with their pace. Every now and then they’d reappear on the sidewalks taking turns blocking and hitting.
