A mad arsonist, bomber, and armed robber simply known as the bandit had been making a mess of things in Central City, setting fires, blowing up buildings, ransacking banks, and had otherwise been causing all sorts of trouble for the King's Guard and the people of Central City, and was currently doing so now at this moment in time, standing out in the middle of the street shooting at cops and blowing up police vehicles, annoyingly retreating every time the King's Guard had proceeded to close in on him again. He was having the time of his life, so much so that he didn't know he was being chased by someone. Clad in a dark blue Gi similar to what her father wore, complete with the Crane Symbol on it and everything, the brown-haired Daughter of Taopaipai jumped across rooftops to chase after the bandit that had been causing so many problems for the people of Central City, ready to complete her newest mission that had been handed out to her by a wealthy client. She didn't know who the client was, and to be perfectly honest, she didn't bother asking, as the 14 year old Assassin with the braided ponytail, that happened to pink bow in it, was more focused on the money involved. She had been doing a lot to build her reputation as a skilled Assassin/Mercenary, and so far, it looked like that it was pulling off, having gotten more and more contracts as time went on. Taoranran was determined to make the best of her new status by accomplishing as many contracts as she possibly could. She could tell from how the bandit waged his acts of terror that he was professionally, even military, trained, so that he was a very smart person, but unfortunately for him, intelligence and tactics wouldn't get very far with the teenage Assassin. Finally, the Bandit seemed to stop for a moment, perhaps to catch his breath, and that was when she decided to strike, dropping down in front of the Bandit with a dark smirk on her face, her chocolate brown eyes alight with menacing glee as she crossed her arms over her chest. The Bandit, seeing the unnaturally creepy expression on the 14 year old girl, took a step back cautiously, wondering what this was all about. Oh, he had no idea just how much danger he was in, because Taoranran was still, sadly, not as famous as her father, the Assassin Taopaipai. "Well well well, someone's been a naughty boy, Mr. Bandit. You've been so naughty that even Santa himself doesn't want you around. Someone with a lot of deep pockets and connections has gotten pissed at your antics, you gun-toting piece of worthlessness, and right now, they had tasked me with your horrible, and violent murder. I honestly hope you struggle, because watching my prey strangle to escape from the icy, merciless grasp of my reaping never ceases to give me bouts of laughter as I kill you softly, only it won't be with a song" she said to him with a dark smirk as she cracked her neck and crouched down into a stance, ready to lunge at him. _________ Word Count: 529 Edited by Taoranran, Oct 12 2014, 04:37 PM.

Sol got the first indication of what he was up against when he saw the wreckage of one of his attacks; an old cinema had burned down into the ground. For some reason the thought that people had been in that building at the time hadn’t really crossed the cyborgs mind. He couldn’t help but be surprised that man was able to do this sort of thing in broad day light and get away before even the king’s guard could follow him. Sol figured the king’s guard wanted him sorted quickly to prevent people’s morale from dropping, the bandit unrelated to either the red ribbon army or black bow army couldn’t be causing that much trouble. Staying overnight in a small hotel Sol wouldn’t have to wait long to see Bandit. Dressed in a black suit so as to not panic civilians, Sol’s morning search for the bandit was fairly uneventful. At noon however the chaos began as the bandit started his next attack. Alerted only moments after the attack Sol rushed to the sight of the Bandit attack. The cyborg soon reached the sight of the attack, a café chosen without rhyme or reason likely attack purely because it was there. Sol stared in horror at the sight of ruined little Café. Its exterior wall had been blown out with wreckage from the harmless building littering central city almost a mile away. The windows of the café had shattered from the sheer force. Wet blood and indistinguishable flesh dripped from the walls. The counter top was blown back imbedding part of wall. The sounds of moans and panicked yells sound out as people are rushed into ambulances. The cyborg could picture the event in his head, the café would have been going from another normal day, perhaps some people were slightly worried about the bandit and his mad attacks but obvious not enough to stay at home. Friends and family eat in peace while staff go through the general monotony of the day. There’s a little radio in the corner playing whatever is popular on the charts right now. All of the sudden the sound of glass shatter rings through the café. People all turn their heads and see a small hole in the window while a man garbed in camo with guns strapped to his back and grenades strapped to his belt. If only someone noticed just one grenade was missing then and there. People start backing away from the windows some might duck down beneath their tables and some may lock their eyes on the mad man with cautious curiosity. They’re suddenly a loud scream as someone notices the grenade on the floor. Then there’s a loud bang and the screaming stops. There were only four maybe five survivors, Sol couldn’t stand around any longer he had to find this monster and stop him before he got away. Full of righteous fury, the cyborg’s flew well above the many skyscrapers and buildings of central city, using the information the king’s guard was sending him at real time to try and track his movements. The Bandit was quick witted and seemed intimately familiar with the city the task proved harder for the cyborg then he first thought. Soon however he spotted from above, the Bandit had just tossed a grenade toward a police van that a couple of officers were using a cover. Rushing down at his maximum speed cyborg grabbed the explosive and lobbed into the air. The explosive detonated harmlessly but was as Sol turned to face the infamous Bandit he had already run off. By the time Sol had found him again the bandit was already skirmishing with some more police. Just after Taoranran confronted the mad man, Sol made his move. Descending from the sky at intense speeds like some kind of divine lightning bolt, Sol’s right hand was suddenly illuminated by a sphere of orange Ki that he pointed toward the mad man. “Bandit drop your weapons immediately and put your hands behind your head or you will die where you stand!” Sol’s threat was largely empty even after all he had seen, he was still no killer he was planning on changing his target at the last moment and firing at his leg if he didn’t comply. Suddenly Sol noticed the young girl dressed in a blue Gi standing at the opposite side of the bandit, his focus was lost for a moment as he mouthed the word “what?”. While it wasn’t as odd to see martial artist in central city as it was in west city, he still hadn’t expected see one now of all times. WC: 775 |

"Oh look, a little girl playing assassin. You think a little girl like you could me? I've seen more than a worthless brat like you could ever hope to imagine" The Bandit said with a scoff as he got over his fear, getting ready to fire his machine gun at Taoranran, not backing down from the teenager at all. While his showing was, admittedly, impressive, it was very foolish of him, especially considering the fact that he was underestimating a Martial Artist that had, apparently been hired to try and kill him. Well, the Bandit would be the one to kill this girl first, and then go about his day of rampage. Taoranran's response was to let out a scoff and harshly put the man down. "What a pathetic sack of flesh you are, waving your pellet shooter and explosive eggs around like a hyped up child on caffeine, and you suddenly think you're the top predator. Newsflash Bandit, all you are, is meat to be served up to hungrier predators, and there is no predator hungrier than me. I want your blood, preferably, I want it covering this entire street, and there's not a damn thing a worthless moron like you can do to stop me" she said with a dismissive scoff as he pointed her finger at him. Just as she was ready to fire, another man showed up, someone who was obviously a member of the King's Guard. Taoranran only slightly turned her attention to the man, analyzing him a bit before turning back to face the Bandit. Noticing something about her target, she allowed herself to slither out of the man's view like a snake, waiting for the most perfect, opportune moment to strike. She wanted to wait and make sure that this man was completely and totally off his guard before she attacked the Bandit and got away with a clean kill. The Bandit, seeing Sol show up, let out a scoff and pointed his machine gun at the cyborg. "No chance in Hell, Lackey of the King. I'm gonna make sure to send a fucking message to that furry piece of crap, and I'm not gonna let some do-gooder asshole like you stop me. You will know true pain in the name of the Bandit, now fucking-" said the man, ranting on and on towards Sol without any sign of stopping. Suddenly, the man was cut off mid-speech, and he went silent as he looked down at his torso. While the man was talking, Taoranran had sneaked up on the Bandit, and punched her fist through his chest, making sure to use her knowledge of anatomy to avoid hitting any vital spots to keep him alive, and in writhing pain. Sneering at the man that was now forced to his knees, she placed her finger at the back of his skull, and fired a Dodon Ray through the back of his head, killing him execution style. She then pulled her arm free of the Bandit's torso, ripped off a piece of his clothing to wipe the blood off of her, and then threw the now blood rag down as she then started to walk away, satisfied that she had killed her quarry. She had stopped for a moment to turn her attention to Sol, and gave him a smirk. "I must thank you for keeping the sack of worthless crap distracted. I could have killed the cretin myself while he was alert, but I was trained to take advantage of any and all openings I could get so as to better maximize my chances of killing my victims. He died in searing pain, I assure you" she said to him as she chuckled to herself before she started continuing on her way. _________ Word Count: 623 Total Word Count: 1,152 Edited by Taoranran, Oct 12 2014, 09:06 PM.

Sol glared at the Bandit before him, he was completely out of his mind and had no intention of surrendering. The deranged man pointed his gun toward Sol and ranted only annoying the cyborg. If it wasn’t for the police and civilains near by he would have already rushed the bandit and disarmed him. Sol paid the Bandit little attention as he pondered how to best approach him, he supposed he could try hypnosis but any funny actions would likely set him off before the technique could take effect. Suddenly Sol noticed the martial artist sneak behind him. It was then Sol saw the crane symbol on her Gi, not that he couldn’t recognize her movements he’d a greater interest in the Crane’s style as a method to defeat opponents out in the open to overwhelm them rather then assinate them unseen but it didn’t mean he couldn’t recognize when he saw it. Just then Sol realized what was about to happen, the martial artist was clearly going to kill the Bandit. All sol had to do was stand back and not give it away. After seeing what the Bandit had done to just one set of victims so indiscrimantely Sol wasn’t going to get in her way. It was the easiest way to deal with him and it was what the bandit deserved. Taoranran’s fist flew through the madman’s body leaving a gaping wound soon enough he was finished off with the signature Dodon ray. The cyborg had always held back around weaker opponents, almost never used lethal force against his foes with some notable exceptions. He’d never really seen first hand someone with a monstrously high battle power kill a normal human with their bare hands it was a sight to be seen. As horrible and painful as it looked Sol couldn’t feel any sympathy for the Bandit, after what he had done this punishment was almost too swift. As Taoranran spoke to Sol seemed almost in shock he chased after the Bandit enraged him so suddenly for only a short time but now the martial artist had killed him he felt calm just as suddenly. Starred at the corpse of the Bandit for a moment before looking toward the martial artist, his tone was calm. “No problem, he didn’t deserve any better.” Sol looked down at the corpse of the bandit, with a look of agony and gaping wound in its chest he wondered how the police and king’s guard would react to his report. Still the bandit was a monster and he would never harm another, Sol hadn’t delivered the killing blow there wouldn’t be much trouble him. The assassin wouldn’t be getting any medals for this, but her actions and the skill she had employed desevered commending in the cyborgs eyes. “Your technique was flawless, you’re a credit to the crane school.” WC: 480 TWC: 1255 Edited by Cyborg Sol, Oct 12 2014, 08:52 PM.

Taoranran, having heard what it was that Sol had said about the Bandit, let out a dark, gruff, harsh, bark-like laugh in reply to his comment about the Bandit not deserving any better than what he got. Taoranran, personally, didn't really care if the Bandit killed anyone, as she didn't care about people. What did she care if some random lunatic started blowing things up and shooting innocent people dead? She couldn't care less about others, as doing so didn't get her anything worthwhile. Oh sure, it might get her people who believed themselves to be her friends, which she didn't dare delude people into believing such a foolish notion like that. "I don't really care about his morals of lack of them, in my mind. I would have been happy letting the cretin continue his rampage, it just so happened that an anonymous, very rich client had hired me to give him a most bloody and painful death, which is exactly what I did. If I hadn't been hired to do it, he would probably still be alive, or dead by your hands instead" she explained to him with a dismissive wave of her hand as she dusted imaginary dust off of her hands, almost as if she giving herself a congratulatory pat on the back. Taoranran's eyebrows rose up a bit when Sol had said that her technique was flawless, and that she was a credit to the Crane School. Not really used to being given compliments, she was, admittedly, a little more amicable to Sol than she would be normally, if only because he had actually complimented her on her skills, which was only done by her Uncle Shen. Her Father Taopaipai, and her Mother Ranran, never really stated if she was doing good in any lessons they might give her, because the both of them were harsh taskmasters. "Well, thank you for that compliment then. I learned from the best, after all. Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Taoranran, Daughter of the World's Most Feared Assassin, Taopaipai, and the Niece of the Crane Hermit Master Shen. The reason why my technique is so good, is because of the fact that the Crane Style is in my blood, you could say. It's something that comes as easy as breathing, to me" she said in an upfront, blunt, honest manner, not at all concerned about dispensing this information to a member of the King's Guard, since she was contracted with them, at least for right now. She had no problem with telling Sol about this, because after all, the chances of Sol being related to someone that her father had killed were very unlikely. Plus, saying she was Taopaipai's Daughter might cause Sol to hesitate in the event he tried attacking her. Saying she was the daughter of the world's most feared, and merciless, assassin, was bound to cause hesitation in people that had the foolish notion of trying to attack her. She wasn't sure how strong Sol was, but she did think that she could, at the very least, make him struggle in a fight if it came down to it. _________ Word Count: 522 Total Word Count: 1,674 Edited by Taoranran, Oct 13 2014, 12:07 PM.

Sol blinked in confusion; he seemed a little awkward as the assassin harshly laughed in response to his conclusion of the Bandit’s final fate. As she elaborated on her reasons for killing the mad man and how little she would have cared otherwise Sol’s expression went from confusion to awkwardness to a grudging acceptance. Between blood thirsty Androids and Saiyans willing to kill their own subordinates Sol had worked with people with questionable morals quiet often. It didn’t really matter why she did what she did she had likely saved a few lives. There was no telling what might have happened if the assassin hadn’t been there. It would have surely ended with the threat neutralized but there was no real telling how long that might take if he had employed distractionary measures and tried attack more civilians and police. The assassin seemed to a bit. As she discussed relationship with Master Shen and Taopaipai, Sol’s knowledge of her father was limited to his appearance as a onetime competitor at the world martial arts tournament who ended up disqualified. This was to be expected despite his creators intense interest in the world of martial arts she only really seemed concerned with the world martial arts tournament and its competitors. None the less if someone who clearly was an assassin went on to claim she was the daughter of Taopaipai and that Taopaipai was an Assassin themselves who was Sol to argue with her. It seemed highly likely after all crane style seemed perfectly suited to assassinations who better than a student of the crane, his brother no less to be the planet’s most notorious assassin. “I see well good to make you acquaintance Taoranran. I’m Sol of the king’s guard I’m also a student of the crane school, I’ve been training under master Shen for a little more than a month now.” Sol stated matter of factly, his familiarity with the style was still fairly limited but it was clear that her talents hadn’t come just from her genetics. Sol whose body seemed designed with a focus on data collection still found the style harder to master than most. He opted to leave out his nature as a cyborg. It seemed both unimportant to the topic at hand and something that might possibly endanger his current tutelage under Shen. If the young assassin could sense Ki then she’d already know regardless. His status as an agent of king’s guard didn’t seem like something worth keeping secret; it was likely that she had already guessed it unless she assumed he was some kind of vigilante. Taoranran nodded her head politely in response to Sol saying it was good to make her acquaintance. Well, if he was gonna be so polite, she felt it was only fair that she do the same in return. She gave him a polite, Martial Artist-like bow in response to him introducing himself to her, feeling no reason to be rude to him. He hadn't come off as threatening or such to her so far, so she felt it was OK to be reasonable and polite to him back. What was the point in being to rude to him, when there was no reason to be, at least, not right now, anyway? He introduced himself as Sol, and she responded back to him politely. "Well, I suppose I could say the same, that it's good to meet you. I don't say that to too many people, as I normally prefer not to interact with anyone, as I'm far more focused on my contracts, or my training" she said to Sol when he told her who he was. If he was this willing to dispense information to her, than there was no reason be on her guard. He didn't seem like he wanted to fight her, so she would not be hostile to him. Part of his introduction was that he was a member of the King's Guard, and she was quick to respond to that. "Ah, you're one of the King's loyal Hounds, barking at the heels of his master, I see. I'm a contracted Mercenary/Assassin who does more illicit deeds they wouldn't want done, what with their desire being to protect Earth and it's people and such, but I'm not actually a member of the King's Guard myself. If you know him, tell Brigadier General Mossberg that the Factory Workers responsible for supplying the King's Guard with weapons have been 'persuaded' to stop striking and go back to making them" she said to him, putting a rather sinister emphasis on the word persuaded, looking as if her insulting comparing him to a dog was completely, and totally, unintentional on her part. When Sol had said that he was a student of the Crane School and was studying under her Uncle Shen, her cold chocolate brown eyes lit up, and her detached persona became a little more friendly. She was always happy to be more amicable with members of the same Martial Arts School as her. Sol seemed a little too goodie-goodie to study under her Uncle, but if he had truly learned under him like he said, than he was someone that Taoranran could truly respect, perhaps even as a peer in terms of status as a Crane Student, at the very least. "Ah, in that case, I offer you friendly greetings, fellow Crane Student. It's nice to see there are some people who recognize the great teacher that my Uncle is. Hopefully you don't become as foolish as Tienshinhan and Chiaotzu and jump ship to that old lecher Roshi, or else I'd have to murder you like I'm going to do with them as well" she said to him with a smirk, appearing a bit friendlier, despite the threat she just threw at him. _________ Word Count: 531 Total Word Count: 2,205 |

“I can understand that, I’m normally fighting the red ribbon army or training myself.” Since Sol’s life as a cyborg had begun it had been largely one collection of brief intermissions between big fights with the red ribbon army. His purpose as a cyborg was collecting data so his creator’s subsequent creations could be better. Even if his creator was surprisingly casual about it, even if Sol tried to find some great purpose behind it, it still meant his life outside fighting the red ribbon army was largely training and sparring. Sol seemed a bit amused by Taoranran’s words as she referred to him as a Hound of the king’s guard. He respected the king of earth regardless of his status as an animal-type human but it still was a tad bit funny. As she continued and asked him to pass on a message to a Brigadier General Mossberg regarding striking workers, it seemed more than a little bit sinister, the cyborg would need to investigate this strike one day but he’d likely not get the opportunity for quite some time. “Haha I wouldn’t quiet use those words myself, I’m their agent for now but it’s largely because we share the same goals and enemies. Once this war is over and nothing else is seriously threatening the stability of the planet, I’m not sure if I’ll stick with them.” Sol’s comment didn’t speak of weariness but frustration. He felt comradery with the pilots of the king’s guard Mecha but some of the leadership’s decisions were rather infuriating. Taoranran’s own comments regarding persuasion raised the very same concerns he had regarding certain members of the army. While he had faith in earth’s king, some of the leaders of the army seemed somewhat questionable, even the ones he thought he could trust had trouble understanding the sheer power of some of the leaders of the red ribbon army. Sol returned Taoranran’s courtesy and bowed, he found her subtle change in behaviour when he mentioned he was also a student of the crane school interesting. Between this and her earlier reaction, it was clear she put a great deal of pride in the school. Sol looked fairly unfazed by her threat if he defected to Roshi’s school. The cyborg liked Roshi and his style but his lecherous behaviour bothered him. “Master Shen is an excellent teacher; some of the technique’s he’s developed like Tri-beam are pure genius. As for Roshi I suppose you could say I’ve done the reverse. I trained under the turtle hermit for a bit before I moved to training with Master Shen. It might be an odd sentiment but I thought I might be able learn the some great truth behind martial arts by learning such drastically different rival styles. I was looking for some aspect that they shared in common that was the source of both styles potency. So far all I’ve found is that Master Shen’s techniques are better in terms of actual fighting but that’s not too surprising.” Like with Shen’s martial art Sol only had an incomplete understanding of Roshi’s techniques none the less he wasn’t sure if there was much the master had to offer him that was too appealing after learning the original Kamehameha wave and hypnosis. He eager to learn both tri-beam and dodon ray both techniques seemed remarkable. WC: 557 TWC: 2247 |

Taoranran heard his comment about how he was normally fighting the Red Ribbon Army himself, an organization that she knew quite a lot about, considering her father had once done a job for them, which involved testing to see if their infamous General Blue was worthy of keeping his life, and job. Needless to say, General Blue had failed the test, and as a result, her father murdered the man. She was unsure if their relationship was still good, so she had avoided making contact with the Red Ribbon Army for now, until their stance on her became known, just in case the relationship between them and her father weren't as good. She raised her eyebrows up a bit when she heard Sol say that he was only working with the King's Guard temporarily, more specifically until his enemies were all dead, and that he wasn't REALLY all that loyal to the organization. She found that perfectly understandable, as she avoided attaching her loyalty to anyone or anything that weren't connected to her family or her Dojo. It made it less likely for anyone to try and use her loyalty against her to try and manipulate her into doing something she liked. If people wanted her on their side, they would need to pay her. "I can understand that perfectly well. I'm only loyal to members of my Family, and the Crane School. Anyone else that wishes me to work for them will have to pay me, and quite a hefty sum at that. My father charged billions for his services, but I don't charge nearly as much, of course. It's how my current deal is with the King's Guard. If they need any illicit deals done to benefit them, they just send me to do it" she said to him with a nod of her head in a way that showed she was understanding. Of course, she grinned in an interested manner when she heard him say that he was the opposite of Tienshinhan and Chiaotzu, where he started learning under Roshi, but then switched to learning under Shen instead, because he found Master Shen's Techniques more useful. That was quite amusing to hear, and it actually made her feel hope that there were still people out there with SOME intelligence, if this man had thought Shen taught more useful things than that useless, annoying old lecher Master Roshi taught. She was glad that Sol acknowledged her Uncle's techniques as better than Roshi's. "HA, that's one of the most amusing things I've ever heard. I hope that worthless, perverted old codger is stewing in his anger over my Uncle Shen taking one of his pupils, because I hate that man and his school. Uncle Shen and Roshi learned under the same Master, a man by the name of Mutaito, and while I don't know the details, something put them into an intense, bitter rivalry with each other ever since. It's about time that Roshi got some of his own medicine after his idiot students humiliated the Crane School and took some of Uncle's Shen's students" she said laughing hysterically all the while. ________ Word Count: 519 Total Word Count: 2,724 Edited by Taoranran, Oct 13 2014, 07:57 PM.

Taoranran went on to explain where her loyalties lied. Regardless of what Sol thought of the profession, It seemed fair as an assassin it’d not be in her best interest bot to offer her allegiances to just anyone if she expected to be paid. He seemed surprised to hear the assassin mention “illicit deals” in regards to the king’s guard. Sol knew war wasn’t pretty but couldn’t help but wonder just what kind of missions they had asked of her. It was unlikely he’d get any kind of elaboration but perhaps he’d get some hint. “Is that sort of thing confidential or can you discuss those missions?” Sol seemed a bit awkward as Taoranran started to laugh manically. It was no secret there was a bitter rivalry between both schools but this was the first time he saw someone a student from either school so full of bile and hate for the other. Sol looked genuinely curious when he heard the assassin mention that both Roshi and Shen seemed to be students of under the same master, though this might be just because it gave his theory some credence. The cyborg knew about the past confrontations between both schools at the world martial arts tournament but even that was limited. “It does seem fair. What happened at the 22nd world martial arts tournament sounds utterly shameful. Just attacking someone out of the blue with a Ki wave after two of their star pupils defected in the middle of the final sounds like rubbing salt into someone’s wounds.” He deliberately avoided mentioning the 23rd would martial arts tournament, he couldn’t think of any way which the turtle school could be responsible for the disgrace the crane school suffered. Besides he wasn’t so ignorant to speak poorly of someone’s father. WC: 300 TWC: 2547 |
