Taoranran narrowed her eyes when she heard Sol tell her that Commander Red was still alive. Apparently, Doctor Gero had turned him into a cyborg, and that was all she needed to hear. Commander Red was just as responsible for the tragic events that lead up to her father being turned into a cyborg as Son Goku was in her mind, and as such, she felt that she would need to personally destroy him for that. She would not rest until she had ensured that she had gotten revenge on both the enemies of her father, and the enemies of the Crane School, even if it was the last thing she ever did.

"Cyborg, Human, Alien, Mutant, Animal-Human Hybrid, it doesn't matter what Commander Red is now. All that matters is that he's still alive and breathing, which is an insult to my father. I know it was just a job that my father had accepted, but the fact doesn't change that it was Commander Red who had started the events to my father being turned into a cyborg. He will pay just as much as Son Goku does, this is something I guarantee will happen" she said with a hiss, her eyes narrowed into a hateful glare as she thought of Commander Red.

When Sol had offered his apologies, Taoranran nodded her head in appreciation. She could tell that Sol wasn't showing pity or sympathy towards her father, because she could tell from personal experience what those emotions looked like. Another thing she appreciated was the fact that Sol had claimed he knew someone who could help repair her father's cybernetics should they become damaged. Showing a rather pleased expression on her face, she gave him a silent, but appreciative, glance, and nodded her head in thanks once more, having no problem with showing her appreciation towards the Cyborg's generous offer.

"I appreciate your sentiments towards my father's predicament. While others would say that, with him being who he is, he deserved it, I'm appreciative that you don't hold the same view. No one deserves to be turned into a cyborg if they didn't want to. The only reason my father accepted it like he did was because he knew that if the procedure hadn't been done, he would have died" she said to him with a frown on her face when she mentioned the procedure that had turned her father into a cyborg, but admittedly had saved his life, and ensured that she could be born.

When Sol had apologized for mentioning the Kamehameha to her, she let go of her hostility enough for Sol to see a visible change in her stance and expression. "Well, in that case, since you apologized, I will forgive you. Just try not to bring up the Turtle School, Roshi, of the Turtle Techniques in my presence to often, or even worse, praise them, and we'll be fine. If you keep doing so, I can't promise continued civility" she said to him with a stiff nod of her head as she narrowed her eyes at him in warning.

“I understand that sentiment, my mother’s mentor was killed some android the red ribbon army sent after him.”

The mentor of Sol’s creator was the famous roboticist, Dr. Ratte. He’d been killed in cold blood only year after condemning the research of a Dr. Gero witness accounts all agreed it was some strange man like machine and one of them pointed out the logo of the red ribbon army on him. She never out said it, his purpose was just to surpass the creations of Dr. Gero but Sol could tell she wanted revenge for her mentor. While Sol didn’t share the feeling he could understand how a desire for revenge could someone.

“Just a word of caution, be weary commander Red. I fired off a wave of Ki at him once and he blocked it with his open palm as if it was nothing. He drove around in a menacing submarine and had a strange group of plant like minions called saibamen. He’ll likely be better equipped by the time you encounter him considering how much zenni that gold and platinum he forced me steal must have been worth.”

Sol added, the commander as a cyborg had an undetectable battle power. With his creator held at ransom Sol couldn’t risk attacking more than a single surprise attack. While recruited Sol it was clear it was only because he could get past Dr. Gero’s defences due to his unique nature as cyborg not created by Gero. He was able to slip past his automated plasma turrets and a get past defences designed to take down rouge red ribbon androids.

“It’s not my place to decide whether your fathers fate was just one or not. I don’t know him beyond the stories and I don’t know the circumstances behind his injuries. However it’s obvious that he suffered as well his family and that’s nothing to celebrate.”

The cyborg spoke truthfully, he wasn’t the sort to consider decide a person fate. Even when faced with the red ribbon army he took care to knock his opponents wherever possible. From his perspective all life was precious and few people on earth truly deserved to suffer. As far as he was to be concerned if anyone was to decide Taopaipai’s fate it should be the king of earth or one of his representatives not some random martial artist.

“I understand, I’ll avoid mentioning either in your presence.”

He could see Taoranran was doing her best to be civil, it seemed clear couldn’t or wouldn’t take positive comments regarding either Roshi or his techniques. Sol wasn’t about to press the issue especially over just a minor tangents to his point. The cyborg held no ill will against the turtle school but he had not reason to stand up for it here and now.

Taoranran heard Sol say that he understood the sentiment of how she felt, considering his mother's mentor was killed by some Android that the Red Ribbon Army had sent after him. She honestly didn't care what it was that the man had done to deserve that, but she did believe he had to have done something that could be considered very stupid to warrant it. Either that, or the Red Ribbon Army were just extremely petty, which was also very believable to Taoranran. So far, the New Red Ribbon Army seemed very determined to succeed, and would more than likely destroy anyone who got in their way and interfered in their business.

"Then you realize that Commander Red, at the very least, must die. I will not tolerate that mouth-breather to exist for any longer than necessary for his hand in the disfigurement of my father. Commander Red and Son Goku will die for what they have done, and the fact that you aren't going to try and convince me otherwise, or try to stop me, informs me of your intelligence and common sense levels. Rest assured, if you tried to convince me to turn away from what I wanted to do, I would be quite resistant, and quite violent, as well" she said with narrowed eyes.

Sol proceeded to offer her a warning in regards to Commander Red, telling her about the things he had witnessed personally about the man, as well as what he knew about the man, and to be honest, Taoranran was appreciative of this knowledge. The more knowledge she had on the man when she went to face him, the better off she would be in the long run. The last thing she wanted to do was race off half-cocked in an act of blind rage to try and kill Commander Red, only to wind up dead because she was reckless.

"I appreciate the warning, and I'll do good to memorize the information you've given me, so I know what to expect in the future when I confront that half-pint loser. He and Son Goku wronged my family, and I intend to make sure that the both of them die painful, horrible deaths for what they did" she said with a hiss after taking the time to thank Sol for his dispensing of valuable information on Commander Red. It was valuable to her, considering she planned on personally murdering the man and making a trophy out of him.

Sol had said to her that it wasn't his place to decide whether or not her father's fate was a just one or not, especially considering the fact that he admitted that he didn't even know Taopaipai beyond the stories that were about Taoranran's father, nor did he know the circumstances behind his father's near fatal injuries. He felt that it was obvious that Taoranran's family had suffered from the accident that resulted in her father's fated turning into a cyborg, and had commented on the fact that it was nothing to celebrate. Taoranran nodded her head in agreement over what he said, looking very pleased he said that.

"Good, you're a smarter man than most. If you had ever said to me that my father deserved what happened, our civility would have come to an end long ago, and you would currently be dead. As far as I'm concerned, my father did not deserve that happening to him for doing his job. Just because he had been trying to kill Son Goku did not mean he deserved that. After all, he was hired to do it" she said to him with a frosty, serious frown on her face in regards to what was said about the situation involving her father's turning-into-a-cyborg.

When Sol had said that he understood, and would avoid mentioning anything involving the Turtle School in her presence again, her cold, angry gaze softened just a bit, noticeable enough for Sol to see that she had let him off the hook. After all, he had apologized for talking about the Kamehameha and such, so as far as she was concerned, she did not see fit to continue being angry at him. He had already apologized to her, so as far as she was concerned, he was OK in her books.

"I appreciate that. Since you are going to avoid mentioning things that get on my nerves, like those accursed Turtle Scum and their wretched Techniques, I shall thus hold back a little on threatening you, since it isn't very kosher of me to threaten you as much as I have" she said to him as she offered him a slight bow of apology, making sure to thank him. As far as she was concerned, it's in the past, and not something she should be at all worried about anymore. It was the the past, and unless Sol was stupid enough to bring it up, she would avoid threatening him once more.

Sol listened intently as the assassin concluded that red had to die. Sol wanted to bring the former commander to justice but killing him out right didn’t entirely sit well with him. None the less Sol had to admit that capturing him and brining him justice in his current state wouldn’t be an entirely simple process. Tao had good reasons to want revenge on him so allowing her to just finish him off might be best in the long run regaurdless of Sol’s own thoughts on the matter.

“Well even putting asides his wrong doings against my family and yours, he’s still a wanted war criminal. If not for him the current red ribbon army might not even exsists, he’s got a lot of pay for and his augmented body would make more organized justice somewhat difficult.”

As Tao proceeded to thank the cyborg for his advice, Sol nodded with a smile. The young assassin seemed to be highly prepared for her task at hand, nor did she seemed interested in taking unnesisary risks. In the end while he might not be prepared to kill others he was still ready to help the assassin defeat the former commander.

“You’re welcome, if you ever need help with Red let me know.”

When Sol mentioned that he didn’t truly believe her father deserved to become a cyborg against his will Taoranran seemed pleased with the conclusion. It seemed to be a bit of a contradictions the subject of her father seemed to be such a sore spot that she was prepared to go out and murder anyone that lead to his injuries, but at the same time she seemed uncaring of the opinions of people who might have had families that were hurt by her and her fathers actions.

Sol had seen the perspective, his creator’s mentor had been killed by one of gero’s creations. It lead to his creation as a way of getting revenge in multiple ways. He would surpass any of gero’s creations proving her superior intellect but not only that he would defeat Gero and the creation responsible for her mentor’s death….once Sol could find him.

“Well you make a good point but I you got to understand some people will be sooner blaim the people that were hired to kill their loved ones in addition to the people that funded the assisination in the first place. I’m sure you understand that some people can overlook logic when someone close to them are harmed."

Sol comments was his way of roundabout-ly stating that he had noticed the slight hypocrisy on his part, it wasn’t intended as an insult but rather giving them assassin something to consider when carrying out her missions.
Much to cyborgs surprise Tao soon apologized for her threatening reaction. He could tell she was making an effort to be civil to him. it made him wonder why her default opinion on people seemed to be negative, why she thought so little of people under normal conditions.

“Thank you, I appreciate that.”

Sol was talking a lot of sense. He talked about how if it wasn't for Commander Red, the current Red Ribbon Army might not exist in the state it is now, that, and he was a wanted war criminal. He had even talked about how, due to the augmentations that he had, it would make organized justice rather difficult to thrust upon him, so he was being logical about how to best deal with Commander Red. She approved of that quite a bit, considering it showed her that Sol wasn't obsessed with doing the right thing in terms of doing things by the books. He acknowledged that, sometimes, people just needed to die, regardless if it was through organized justice or not.

"Ah, that's rather refreshing to hear. It's nice to see you aren't one those morons obsessed with organized justice, and doing the right thing, yadda yadda, those stubborn, thick-headed, by the books type of heroes that I can't stand. It insults me that people who step up to stop me aren't determined to put me in the ground, considering their act of putting me in jail, if they even beat me in the first place, is pointless, because I could just escape with no problem" she said to Sol as she crossed her arms.

Sol had offered his help with Commander Red, and her facial features shifted a bit to indicate that she was pleased with the offer. While she doubted that she would really need the help with Commander Red, she appreciated the offer nonetheless. Folding her arms behind her back as she went back to a stiff, rigid, formal, traditional stance, she was quick to reply to Sol, letting him know that she actually appreciated his help. After all, it was bad etiquette to not thank someone who offered you their help for whatever it was you were going to do.

"I appreciate the offer, and while I have no need to take you up on your offer at this point, if I feel I need to, I shall change my mind" she said to him in the stiff, formal manner she was known for, her grateful face going back to it's calm, stone-faced, stoic expression. She was rigid, stiff, and stone cold like a statue of sorts, like rock, unmoving and unyielding. She had been getting a little too emotional for her liking, and she felt it was time to reign herself in before things got too out of hand.

"I care nothing for what those people think. If they hate me or my father for doing our jobs, even if those jobs are horrible, then they are petty and I welcome their death at the hands of my blade. Let them hate me if they wish, I couldn't care any less about their irrelevant hatreds and opinions if I tried" she said with a scoff for a moment before returning to her stiff, stone cold posture. She cared not what those idiot lessers thought of her and her actions, because as far as she was concerned, they didn't matter at all.

Sol tilted his head in slight confusion it seemed Tao misunderstood him, thinking that he saw no use in the traditional legal system. The truth was he saw the former commander android 9 as an exception, as he said earlier with his power he couldn’t be properly tried or detained without the supervision of people far stronger then he was. While the red ribbon army had developed some weapons and technology that might be used detain him, the time and money it would need probably wasn’t feasible right now with the war demanding most of the king’s guard’s money and resources.

“Well I’m not opposed to the law, It does work in most cases but like you said for people like us who are able to break free through all but the most durable materials it wouldn’t be feasible to detain them. Maybe In a few decades when earth has more access to better metals and if humanity on a whole has reached an average level of strength closer to the Saiyan race I could see it being possible.”

Sol last point might seem a bit unlikely but considering how the exceptional humans on earth seemed to keep getting stronger than they had been in recorded history it made sense to the cyborg that if the exceptional among humanity kept getting stronger it’s possible that the average for humanity might increase as well.

After he offered his assistance when she eventually decided to track down and confront commander red, Sol was pleasantly surprised. It seemed she was willing to at least consider his assistance later on. He hoped she would eventually both out a desire to pay a debt he felt she was deserved for killing the bandit and to get a chance to make the former commander pay for his deeds against him.

“Think nothing of it.”

As Taoranran continued the cyborg could see there was little he could do to convince her to consider the feelings of those around her. In the end it made sense she was clearly a candidate if not the sole inheritor of the crane style, her attitude would clearly make her the perfect assassin. While Sol would have liked to continue to contest her way of thinking but neither wanted to risk ruining their somewhat amicable relationship or show her disrespect.

“Well of course not, I wouldn’t imagine you’d think any other way as a student of Shen’s after all. I was just trying to explain another viewpoint rather than convince you of it.”
