The morning was still young, and already Alin was beginning to feel something. Something strange and unlike anything else he'd ever felt. He was used to the five basic senses; touch, taste, sound, scent, and sight. However, Bora told him there was a sixth sense, one that he'd been ignorant too while on Planet Vegeta. Upon hearing about this sense for energy, Alin became interested. Deeply interested. He thought that, perhaps, he was under-equipped when he was sent on missions, and so was his father. Now, in a few short hours with nothing more than simple knowledge that this technique existed, he'd found something. He woke early, exhausted from his training with the marked Saiyan, and immediately went to work. It took a morning's worth of meditation, but slowly and surely, he began to feel something. At first, it wasn't anything specific, more that he was feeling the presence of everything around him. Slowly, over time, he found that there began to be more distinct signatures coming from all different directions. One's that didn't seem to be immensely amazing, but there was one that stood out a fair bit. He could feel his power, and in comparison another power, one even stronger than his own. He wasn't sure who it might be, but he figured that, if he investigated a little, he could maybe find Bora, or a different opponent. Flying off in the direction he felt the power coming from, he soon found himself in a large and illustrious city. One much more advanced than Osaka, where he usually hung out. It was like a space station but on the ground! His eyes glinted at the site of the city below him as he began to gently float down towards the power signature. There was a building that seemed to be the center of all this attention in the city. Like the town had sprouted up around it. "This seems... weird." Alin admitted out loud, landing on a small balcony on the side of this building. He could clearly now sense the power signature coming from inside, but he couldn't imagine what Bora was doing in a place like this. Then again, if he didn't see people in the streets, he'd think this place was a world for robots. Alin looked around for a minute, thinking that maybe he should try and find a different power, but realized that he'd already come all this way, so he tapped gently on the window. "Hello!" Alin called out to whomever was inside. "Is anyone here? Gosh, maybe this was a bad idea. I'm going to come off as a total creep." Alin said, rubbing the back of his head. He thought about just leaving when nobody answered right away, but thought that it'd make it look even worse if he knocked on the window and then flew away, so he waited. If not for the sake of seeing who was the source of this awesome power, then to seem not like a total weirdo. It would have been a lot better if he didn't have his dirty underclothes on, because he wasn't wearing his Saiyan armor around anymore. He brushed his nose nervously, just under his scar. The suspense was killing him. WC: 538 TWC: 538 |

The teen was still curled up in her bed, her eyes peacefully shut as she lay there dreaming. For once since both moving into a city run by her father and on top of that, working for him as well, she hadn't exactly got much sleep. A light moan escaped the sleeping youth, her blanket drawn up as far as it could go without covering her eyes all the way. She could hear her alarm going off, but she chose instead to ignore it. Sometimes the music did nothing but lull her right back into sleeping. This time however, she couldn't ignore it. No matter how much she truly wanted to. She rolled over and pulled her blankets down as her eyes fluttered open. The display on her radio read that it wasn't as late as she first thought, and she immediately chose to go back to sleep, burying her cheek back into the cozy soft pillow she had with a soft sigh of pleasure. A few more hours of pleasant and restful sleep came to the teen then, as she tossed and turned in delight. Whatever she was dreaming about must have been good. But it certainly wasn't about what most teenaged girls her age would admit to dreaming about. Most girls dreamed of being famous, or of having a hot and rich boyfriend. Anju, daughter of the future Ox Queen and her husband, The Great Android Terror, was not dreaming of either thing. She was instead dreaming of food. Of being surrounded with food. And of being fed a lot of delicious food. With each pleasurable coo, the girl continued dreaming of large slices of delicious cake fit for a princess. Of silky chocolates, and of beautiful tea cups filled with the most sweet smelling tea imaginable. This time of course her alarm clock would not interrupt her, no, unfortunately the sounds of her father and mentor leaving for the day for work was what woke her up. The teen woke with a start then. From the sounds of it, it must've just been a day her mentor and her father could handle. Usually if she was needed, she'd be woken up and told she was needed long before they left. "Aw man...." She thought aloud to herself with a yawn. "Guess I'm free today....ugh....what to do then....?" She asked herself, throwing her blankets off herself and heading straight over to the vanity set she had in her room. She sat at it, and pulled out a brush, tugging it through her soft short strands just to style it before she would go and take a nice, refreshing shower. "I suppose I could always see if any shopping is needed. Or just spend my time here playing video games..." She mused sleepily to herself, trying not to yawn once again as she finished up with her hair. She stood back up and headed for her drawers, pulling out some fresh and clean clothing for the day. She put on a soft smile as she scooped up her clothing and headed off to fetch herself some towels. Once she had, she went straight for the bathroom. She stripped down from her pjs and jumped right in, huming in delight at the feeling of the warm water on her skin. Her shower wasn't the quickest one ever, compared to whenever she did have to work. So she certainly planned to enjoy it while it lasted. Once she was done, she wrapped a towel around herself, and dried up, deciding at the very last minute to go and grab a few hair clips. She made sure her towel was nice and tight against her body as she shuffled out of the bathroom, and headed straight for the vanity, grabbing her brush and a comb, as well as a few small hair clips. But as she was grabbing them, she could swear she heard something at her window. She turned, with a small heart shaped pink hair clip caught in her lips and listened harder. She could faintly make out what sounded like someone outside of her window. "Who the heck could be out there...?" She mumbled, grabbing the clip out of her mouth and heading over to her window. Once she got there, she pulled the curtain back, not caring about her state of appearance much. What she saw, was a young man on her balcony. And his appearance was not something the young princess was used to either. She blinked a bit in confusion as she stared and accessed his features. After a few short seconds of blinked, she unlocked the large door that led out to it, and opened it curiously. "Uhm....H-Hi. Can I help you?" She asked curiously, brushing a dripping wet strand of her hair behind her ear. {Who the heck is this guy? What is he doing here?} 812 Words 4500 Words |

It was a few short moments before the door that the window was attacked to opened up. As it did peel open, Alin was surprised by what was behind it. A pale, dripping wet, red-headed girl, not too much older than himself, with nothing but a towel around her. Alin's face immediately got red with embarrassment as she asked, "Uhm....H-Hi. Can I help you?" He thought he was going to die right on the spot from being unable to breathe. His body froze and he stopped doing basic things automatically, like blinking and breathing. He shook his head trying to regain his sense of reality. "I... uhm... hi, I'm Alin, and I just..." He paused dead in his tracks staring into her eyes, lost a moment as he tried to think of how to explain exactly what happened without sounding like a lunatic. After a short moment, he came to the conclusion that he might in fact not come off as so crazy, if she was a human she probably lived here all her life. Chances were, she knew about the whole sensing powers thing already, and had plenty of time to be accustomed to it. In fact, she might not of hear him. By the looks of her, she could have been in the shower when he knocked and simply sensed his power, and that's why she checked the window. "I just knocked, heheh, cuz I could um... sense your power signature... from really far away." Alin said, pointing behind him. "Way past the mountains, I was near Osaka" He said turning to see there were no mountains on the horizon. "Oh geez... I seem like the biggest perv ever right now." He thought out loud, not meaning for his thoughts to surface as words. He stared at the ground. "I'm sorry miss... I was just trying to teach myself to sense powers, and yours was the first I picked up, at least the strongest of the first ones I picked up, and I seem like the biggest creep on the planet right now, and the more I talk the worse it looks." Alin paused, not sure of what else to say. This wasn't a situation he'd exactly dealt with before. She was a young woman after all. Regularly it'd be indecent of him to be in her presence in her current status. He was sure that it wasn't every day that a young man appeared on her balcony, though with how she looked maybe he was mistaken. "Do you... live here?" Alin asked what could probably be the dumbest question he could at the moment. Though, he couldn't help it. He was curious. He couldn't imagine the type of people that lived in a place like this, but she certainly seemed not to fit. Or maybe she did and he just was looking at it the wrong way. The whole city was beautiful and extravagant, after all. To be fair, he was the one that stuck out here, him and his damned scar. Just the thought of it on his face made him uncomfortable and he raised his hand to cover it. "I'm sorry, I'll leave you to your business I guess. I should have known better than to knock on strangers windows." WC: 541 TWC: 1,079 |

Anju studied the teen boy carefully. He sure didn't look dangerous, especially with the way he was acting right now. He was completely flustered, and for good reason of course. The air was making her chilly, so chances were, she'd be inviting this stranger inside. Even with the threat of the BBA upon them, there was no reason to believe this person was a threat to her. Even if he was, she'd still have the advantage with how flustered he was at her with just a towel on. She couldn't imagine what would happen if she was completely bare and fighting. She listened to what he had to say and nodded. "I see..." was all she could really say in response. Though her ego did inflate slightly at the mention of her being the strongest person he'd been able to sense and on top of that, track down. She grinned. "Oh really? You don't seem like a creep." She teased. "Well....I mean yeah you are on my balcony and yeah I'm in a towel but it's not like you knew that until I came out, right? Unless you have x-ray vision and I don't know about, you couldn't have known I'd come out to see you like this. Relax!" She continued, inviting him inside for the time being. Neither of them needed to be outside chatting, especially her. She was not about to catch a cold by being outside soaking wet from her nice warm shower. She instructed him to have a seat in her room and to wait for her in there. She'd be right back once she was done getting dressed as she walked back to the bathroom, shutting the door. Her hands went to the sink then as she took in a deep breath. She looked up at the mirror, seeing strands of her luscious light colored hair clinging to her face and forehead. She brought the brush back out and went straight into styling it. It would be a few minutes before she even got dressed. But once she was, she clipped her bangs back to the side and slipped on her house slippers. Finally, she was presentable and so long as neither of her parents found out she had met a boy and he'd been pretty close to seeing her in the nude, no one would get hurt. At least, she hoped anyway. She opened the bathroom door and headed back into her room, drying the ends of her hair with a towel. "So...Alin right?" She asked then, making sure that she got her would be guests name right. "My name's Anju." She said, introducing herself. "And yeah, I live here. This is my father's city, and this is....well the apartment we live in. Just to warn you now, my father isn't exactly....the most friendliest guy around...neither is my mother...if either one of them caught you here instead of me let's just say you'd of been in for a fight." She explained, as she sat down on the edge of her bed. "You really lucked out. It was a good thing you explained yourself right off the bat, or I might've had to fight you off and let's face it, I don't think either of us would've....enjoyed that." She continued, her face slowly burning a bright pink at the thought of fighting the boy in nothing but a flimsy towel. "You shouldn't worry too much. I mean trust me, we could've easily started off on the wrong foot here. I'm not upset. Though really I guess I could've planned my day better had I been expecting company." She laughed off the incident at hand as though it happened every day. "Relax, I'll grab you some tea okay?" She offered, wanting to make the most of the company she had. 634 Words 3378 Characters Running Total 1446 Words 7878 Characters |

Alin was fully ready to leave, having had enough embarrassment for the day, but the girl invited him inside. It was strange to him, and he certainly hoped she didn't make a habit of it. There was a lot of strange and disturbing people out there, what if he'd been one of them? Then again, he guessed that a total creep probably wouldn't get so embarrassed doing something so creepy. Maybe his earnest reaction is what showed her he wasn't a bad guy. Still, he would have to do his best not to seem too weird. Which was hard for him but it didn't mean he wouldn't try. He took a seat on the stool in front of a strange chest of drawers with a mirror on the back of it. There was make-up and things of that nature on the top of it. He didn't recognize what it to be the girl's vanity set. She left the room, presumably to get dressed, as she had unexpected company and likely wouldn't want to be hanging around in a towel, even if they were familiar. Alin sat at the stool waiting, swinging his legs back and forth for what seemed like a good bit of time. He didn't know what he'd gotten himself into, but her room felt cozy and welcoming. He could feel some of the load coming off his shoulders as he felt a bit less embarrassed about the situation that, admittedly, could have been much worse. She was, after all, in a towel when she opened the balcony door, and she could have been wearing less. If that had been the case, Alin sincerely doubter she would have reacted so calmly. The young Saiyan could hear a small ruckus in the other room as red-headed girl went about her business. Alin just stared blankly at the floor, wondering if she was going to be upset with him for his unintentional intrusion. Then again, if she was upset that he was on her property, it wasn't likely that she would have invited him in, is it? He figured not, as it'd be pretty unreasonable for being upset with someone for doing something you invited them to do. Still, her opening the door in a towel? How could Alin have prepared for that? Finally, Alin heard the door open and the red-haired maiden returned to her room. She asked to make sure she had his name, to which he only nodded. She introduced as Anju, a name that for some reason, Alin thought went perfectly with her face. He'd have a hard time forgetting it if he tried. He smiled a bit and wanted to extend his hand to shake, but she said some other stuff that caught him a bit off guard. She said this was her father's city, meaning that he had to be swimming in money. Then that they lived here, so she wasn't out on her own, she lived with her parents still. She warned that her father, nor her mother, were either very nice. She also warned that, if either of them had 'caught' him he'd be in for a fight. While the phrasing seemed weird at first, he guessed that what he was doing was pretty sneaky, so he was technically 'being caught'. Even if knocking on the window is an invitation to be caught. Alin shrugged, "I meet tons of mean people, and they all end up either hating me, or becoming good friends. Well, if you consider being rivals friends." Alin laughed as he nervously rubbed the back of his head. Just remembering Kale was his rival now made him laugh. She went on to say how it was good he explained himself right off the bat, which normally talking to much got him into trouble, and it'd saved him from fighting her. Alin smirked, assuming that his suspicion that she was a Saiyan to be true. That explained her huge power signature and her fierce-sounding family. She told him not to worry too much. Things could have been bad, he knew that, but they weren't and that made him happy. He wasn't too keen on the idea of fighting a girl, especially one in a towel. She said she wished she was expecting someone so she could have planned better, which he assumed meant she would have showered and gotten dressed sooner. She told him to relax and asked if he wanted some tea. "Uhm, sure but..." he paused, looking around behind her, "You hide your tail too? So you must have been born here like that other guy I met." Alin said, scratching his chin. He thought it was strange for there to be one Earth-born Saiyan around, but another? Maybe there was some kind of trend he didn't know about, where people were fleeing Planet Vegeta for Earth, but he was sure he would have heard something had that been the case. "I guess I should start hiding mine too if I'm going to be around her for long." Alin laughed as he stood up and tucked his tail into the back of his pants. It felt weird, and he was afraid to sit down, but if it's how he'd blend in, then so be it. WC: 873 TWC: 1,952 |

Anju listened to him just before she got ready to make some tea for the both of them. Alin had explained that generally speaking, whenever he came across a mean person, one of two things would occur: Either said mean person would hate him, or become his friend. If rivals of course counted as friends. "Well I wouldn't really know....I don't have a rival really." She said truthfully. Once he approved of the idea of tea, she stretched her back slightly, a few cracks being heard from her spine realigning it's self properly, before she got to her feet. "Alright then! I'll have it going as fast as possible." She said with a grin, flexing one arm as she slapped at the muscle that just barely bulged from there. It was then that Alin asked her a question that caught her off guard. Her previous expression of carefree happiness turning to sudden confusion. "Huh? Tail?" She blinked then, and made a show of herself trying to find this supposed tail that she had. Last time she checked, considering she had plenty of time to what with previously being nude and showering, she did not have a tail. She contorted her body in every which way, as she tried to find this 'tail' that she apparently was hiding. "Uh....sorry Ali, but nope, no tails here! I think you must be mistaken." She grinned then, with a sheepish giggle from her lips. She scratched the back of her head then. Really, the only person she knew with a tail so far was her best friend Tarnov. A Saiyan. Did that mean Ali too was a saiyan? "Uhm....not to judge or anything but I'm gonna guess that by that question you're....mistaking me for a saiyan? You got the wrong idea. I'm 100% Human!" She confirmed, patting her chest proudly with a nod. "Though one of my friends is a saiyan. I can say for sure, you saiyans are really nice. Though, I really don't know what gave you the impression I was a saiyan. Unless it was the answering the door naked thing. I promise not to make a habit of that or anything!" She teased, still grinning. Ali then proclaimed that maybe he should start hiding his own tail. The female teen flailed her hands a bit. "Oh no, you don't have to! like I said, I got a friend with a tail and I don't mind at all! I'm not the grabby type, so don't worry. I won't touch it! Unless you give me permission I guess, but otherwise I promise it doesn't bother me! And if it bothers anyone, well, screw them!" She ranted, wagging her finger a bit. "You just sit and relax, I'll grab us some tea and snacks okay? When I get back though, I'd love to hear what it is about me that gave you the impression I was a saiyan." She grinned with amusement. She'd never been mistaken for a saiyan before, and that made her curious to know what saiyan women and her had in common. She turned on her heel then, and walked out to go and get the tea brewing, and looking through the cupboards to see about what sort of snack foods to serve with the tea she was making. The heavenly scent of tea wafting through the air and into the bedroom after she left as the sounds of her fussing about in the kitchen could be heard. 575 Words 3176 Characters Running Total 2021 Words 11054 Characters Edited by Anju, Nov 4 2014, 02:19 AM.

The girl seemed really confused by Alin's statement about a tail. He didn't think it to be too strange. Unless, she wasn't born with a tail, but Alin hadn't heard of a Saiyan born without a tail! She went on to explain that he'd mistaken her for a Saiyan probably. That was what caught him off guard. A girl, this powerful, and she was a human?! He dug his nails into his palms nervously. If she was a human, she was probably going to hate him for being a Saiyan, and she'd throw him out of her house before he got any tea! That was until she talked about her friends being a Saiyan. That was a relief. A lot of Humans either knew about Saiyans and were petrified of them, or a select few were smart enough to see that not all of them were bad. Anju fell under the latter category. Alin's face got read again when she talked about how nice Saiyans were. He pushed his two index fingers together and tried to think of an appropriate response but his mind stumbled over the compliment. She joked and asked if it was because she answered the door in her towel, saying if that was the case she wouldn't be making a habit of it. Alin laughed nervously before trying to tuck his tail in like Dart had talked about doing. Anju immediately insisted he didn't need to do that. She told him he didn't have to hide it, and she wouldn't touch it unless he told her she could. That was weird... he wasn't sure why she'd want to touch his tail. She told him it didn't bother her, and that anyone else who had a problem, screw them! Alin laughed and wiped a small tear from his eye. This girl had a lot of enthusiasm, he liked that. She told Alin to just sit and relax and she'd be back with some tea and snacks. He smiled warmly and sat as his tail poked back out of his trousers via a small hole. He sat back on the stool, not worrying about the tail situation any longer. He wondered what made the girl so accepting of others. How difficult it must have been for this other Saiyan to prove himself not a threat. Or perhaps they were friends before she knew he was a Saiyan, maybe he hid it like that Dart guy. Alin shrugged, figuring he was thinking about it way too much. He could hear Anju in the other room rummaging through cabinets and cupboards looking for things to snack on. Alin sure felt welcomed, but at the same time a little uneasy about eating someone else's food. He rubbed the back of his head nervously, wondering if it would be even more rude of him to pretend he wasn't hungry. Though that'd be a lie, it'd been a few hours since breakfast, and he was working hard on getting this whole power sensing thing to work. A small bite to eat wouldn't hurt, would it? He could already smell the tea, and it was filling the room with a warm and delighting scent. He nearly melted into the stool it was so refreshing. He'd not had fresh tea in... over eight years. Not since his father died. The memory made him enjoy the smell a little less, but he wasn't going to let it ruin the experience for him. WC: 575 TWC: 2,527 |

The red headed teen continued to fuss about in the kitchen, dragging out a nice and shiny tray to use for their tea and snacks. She had also pulled out two bags of crackers of which she opened and dumped a few of them onto the tray as the tea was just beginning to finish it's brewing. She grabbed out two tea cups, and grabbed the tea, pouring the tea into both tea cups as carefully as possible. She also grabbed out a bag of candy as well and popped that open as well, dumping a handfuls worth onto the tray. Once she had everything she needed on the tray, she carefully started her trek back towards her bedroom. She peaked her head back in to check and be sure that he was even still around, and with a soft giggle, she entered."So about that mistaken identity thing~" She teased, as she set the tray onto her bed, and plucked a sugar cube from the pretty crystal glass that contained a neat pile of them. She tossed about 4 of the cubes into one tea cup, before her fingers curled around the handle. She took out a small spoon and stirred it in, before bringing the cup to her lips, blowing some of the steam away before taking a sip. "Delicious....~" She grinned. She invited the albino teen to sit beside her then, a smile on her face. "So, how about you tell me about yourself then Ali? Aside from sensing my energy, what were you looking to accomplish today? Sure hope you weren't looking to pick any fights." She continued, taking a cracker from the tray and nibbling at the sides as she sat and listened to the boy. "And...I hope you don't take offense to this but...." She paused then, thinking it was rather impolite of her to ask. But the question had been gnawing at her brain for a long time now, ever since she had first laid eyes on him. "But, where did you get that scar?" She asked, her hand rising to her own face. She blinked innocently as she listened. She certainly hoped neither parent would be making any visits soon, much less any phone calls. 372 Words 1973 Characters Running Total 2393 Words 13027 Characters |

Alin was more than relieved when the red-headed girl returned with the tray of tea and snacks. He wasn't very partial to being in someone else's house alone, and although she was just in the other room, it felt a bit weird to be in someone's room when they weren't around. Especially a girl, and especially since they'd just met. Though, at the same time, he thought it was just because how inviting it was that made him feel weird. Like he was feeling too welcome in the house, a feeling he hadn't had in a long time. The girl returned and sat the tray on her bed. She placed 4 small white cubes into her cup of tea and stirred it a bit before taking a sip. "Delicious~" She hummed as she patted a place beside her on the bed. Alin looked at the tray on the bed for a minute, knowing it probably wouldn't be the best idea to go climbing all up on the bed with it sitting there, so he slowly floated in the air and placed himself delicately next to Anju. He took a cup of tea for himself and picked up one of the small white cubes. Giving it a lick, he realized exactly what it was, sugar, and crushed it into his tea cup, then grabbed three more and did the same before taking a sip. "Mmm," he hummed with a playful laugh, "that is good! Anyway, but the tail thing, I just assumed someone this strong had to be a Saiyan. I mean, no offence, it's just I haven't met very many strong fighters, and I've been fighting in the World Federation of Wrestling tournaments over in Osaka lately and hadn't met anyone that could even raise a hand against me. Well, that and I heard the Saiyan girls a fierce and beautiful. I was always told to watch what I say around them..." Alin paused sipping some more tea. "Aside from sensing my energy, what were you looking to accomplish today? Sure hope you weren't looking to pick any fights." Anju said peacefully before taking a cracker from the tray and nibbling on the sides. Alin got nervous because, to be completely honest it wasn't out of the question. Though he was sure he was going to be finding Bora, so maybe that would make things a little easier to understand. "And...I hope you don't take offense to this but, where did you get your scar?" "Well," Alin said nervously, following Anju's lead and taking a cracker and nibbling on it, "I can't say I exactly expected to fight whomever I found. But I was looking for my master, Bora, he's a Saiyan too and he's been on Earth a lot longer than me. I wanted to surprise him by learning to sense energy on my own before he was able to teach me. So I guess if I found him, yeah I was probably expecting to fight." He said, his hand shaking while he paused before answering the second question. He lowered the cracker from his lips and tears started to swell in his eyes. "After my dad died, and our house was taken away, everything we ever had, I was put in a junior military academy. After dad was gone though, I didn't have much drive to do anything. I got sick, real sick, and my hair started to go white instead of brown. Well, as it were, the other kids took it as a sign of weakness, and decided it'd be better if they killed me." Alin said, wiping tears with his wrist as he struggled to continue, "They tried. Lots of them, and often. They come into my room and start beating me until they were sure I was dead, breaking ribs, puncturing lungs. Every time they'd wave off the medical transport like they'd never see me again. But every time, I came back, and they hated me for it. I can't say I got much better after having the crap kicked out of me," Alin said, offering up the worst fake laugh he'd ever heard, trying to break the serious mood. He swallowed a lump in his throat, not sure of if he'd be able to continue. "So one day, one of the bigger kids decided he'd had enough and was going to take care of me once and for all. He took a sharp piece of glass off a broken mirror and came to kill me in the middle of the night. He cut my face up pretty quick, hoping that I'd not be able to fight back if I couldn't see," Alin said, point to his left eye that was stained red from the attack. "I saw everything though when I woke up and got my senses. Just as he held that shard of glass over his head and was ready to plunge it into my heart, something stopped him. Something grabbed a hold of his neck and wrestled him to the ground, and kept pressing till the life started to leave his eyes, then it let go. It took me a long while to realize I was the one on top of him, and the only reason I'd let him live is because I'd lived through so much of the abuse, I guess I felt I owed him?" Alin said, tears still flowing, "But that's not right. I let him go because I knew that Dad wouldn't want me to kill him just for being stupid and cruel enough to attack me. He'd want me to forgive." Alin paused, wiping tears from his eyes now with both hands. It wasn't easy to talk about his dad, or the scar. Talking about them both at once, at length, took a lot out of him. He didn't even know why he was telling this girl these things. Was it because she seemed so kindhearted? Did he think that she'd understand? No, it was because he knew that, for some reason, she wasn't going to hold it against him. She wasn't going to laugh at him for being so stupid and opening up to a simple question. For some strange, unearthly reason, he thought she cared enough to know the whole story. He went looking for his master, and here he was sniveling on some girls bed like a baby, his eyes rubbed raw from wiping tears. He felt like a fool just thinking about it. WC: 1,074 TWC: 3,601 |

Anju chuckled slightly in response. She had to admit, there weren't too many normal humans who could even hold a lit match to her in terms of power. The difference in power was amazing, but it never prevented the idiots who dared cross her from going at her, so it wasn't all that great. In fact the whole thing got old after a while with how many idiots underestimated her worth as a martial artist due to two factors: How old she was, and the fact that she didn't look the part in the slightest. It was a lot nicer to hear someone else say otherwise about her for a change. Well, someone other then her mentor that is. Her chest swelled with pride then at hearing about her own power. "Fierce and Beautiful huh?" She grinned. "I guess I embody those traits to some degree." She nodded to herself, taking another long gulp of her tea. A familiar name came up then, but one that she couldn't exactly place a face to. She'd heard her father scream the name into a cellphone recently, but that was the only memory she had as of the moment that she could conjure up. "Bora huh? So he's your mentor?" She asked, peaking up at Alin from her tea cup, as she pressed the rim back to her lips again, taking another casual sip. "So you two....fight often?" She asked, concern and curiousity peaking in her voice. She couldn't recall the last time she'd honestly fought with her mentor. She trained with him of course. But never once had they fought each other. At least, not with the intent to harm the other. She blinked innocently and tilted her head. "Still, I'm sure he'd probably be really proud, seeing you take the initiative and go out of your way to learn something before he had the chance to teach you." She nodded once more. "I know mine probably would be if I did. Not that I don't impress him enough as is..." She laughed slightly to herself. Nothing could prepare her for the answer to her last question that pried a bit deeply into the albino saiyan's past. Anju blinked as she listened to the heart wrenching tale. The boy had lost his father, his home, and forced into a life of combat. He'd became lifeless and depressed at best, and others within that same academy took it one step too far in the eyes of the red head. The poor kid got sick, and everything changed for him. Constant beatings. The older teen's hands gripped at her sheets in anger at the injustices the saiyan had suffered. Her teeth clenched together as well as she listened intently. The story continued and the redhead only grew more and more angered by the actions of those in the past. Sure, she couldn't do anything for the saiyan now, and she knew it. But it didn't stop her temper from flaring, from wanting to right the wrongs the only way she knew. Through the examples her own father had set for her. That if anyone fucked around with what was hers, they would be sorry. Sorry in this case meant immediate death. Her hand immediately reached out, her body responding in a motherly and affectionate way to the younger teen as she removed herself from her spot on the bed, going straight to his side and wrapping both of her arms around him, pulling him tight into an embrace. "I...I'm so sorry Ali. I had no idea such a scar could have such a terrible story attached to it." She apologized, feeling as though her innocent question had troubled him to such a point. Her fingers gently threaded through his soft hair as she craddled him in her arms. It was all she could do to settle the rage inside of her. "I truly hope I don't run into these people....if I do, I'm afraid unlike your father and unlike you, I won't be so forgiving." She spoke, and though her words were meant to be comforting, they came off cold. Ice cold. "The point now is, you survived. And that's something to be happy for now right? Please don't cry..." She felt absolutely terrible now. What a start to the day, she thought to herself, as she continued to comfort him. 725 Words 4078 Characters Running Total 3118 Words 17105 Characters |
