The way Anju said 'Black Bow Bastards' really dug into him. He didn't know why, but something about even her sweet voice sounded so full of malice. His brow furrowed. He kept himself from shaking in anger, but he was sure it was showing clearly. What she followed with only further cemented his feelings towards them. He knew that, if he tried to do anything about it here, before things got like that in this timeline, she might not have to come back. Which he didn't like the thought of at all. Even still, he didn't like the idea of her dealing with it all on her own. It wasn't really fair to her. He nodded and swallowed a lump in his throat. "Anyone who's crossed you, especially like that..." Alin paused, his fists tightening into balls at his side, "they're already dead. Consider them destroyed, because I won't rest until I see every last one of them pulverized. I probably won't be able to take them out by myself, but it won't be for lack of trying. I can get stronger, I always will. When you come back, I'll do my best to make sure you don't have to worry about them. We can just hang out again." Alin said, a faint smile coming to his face. Even if the thought did make him happy, it was hard for him to show it. He was on a warpath now, and the whole Black Bow Army was in his sights. He might not be able to pull the trigger just yet, but he could get ready. He'd have to, for Anju's sake. He couldn't imagine the world she lived in. The pain she'd gone through and all the people she loved and had lost. It was a distant world to him. He'd had things pretty good in comparison. The biggest of his complaints was that his father was dead and he had gotten a nasty scar. Anju had scars too, they just weren't visible. It's the scars we can't see that have more devastating stories behind them. The hell they put her through was a sign that they were not to be underestimated, but feared. Thing is, Alin was never good with handling fear. The only way he thought to deal with it, was to destroy it. Even if it'd fight back, he'd fight harder. He'd get stronger. He'd win, because living in fear wasn't on his agenda. Especially not now. A Super Saiyan at age fifteen. If legends lived, he was one of them. His Odyssey was just beginning, but he was already in Ithaca. There just left a simple task, to get rid of those who threatened it's stability. Alin knew that in that alternate world Anju was from, he wasn't alive. If he was, he'd have stopped them. Things happened differently there, so maybe the bully that attacked him when he was younger there succeeded. So he never became much more than a groveling and sobbing sack of unhappiness. Here though, in his world, the 'real' one to him, he was a factor. So when things came about, and push comes to shove, his weight will be on the side against these Black Bow Bastards, he'd make sure that was a constant. (No problem! I understand computer problems >___< glad to see you back! :D) The red head continued holding onto her new found friend. Threading her fingers through his hair, as her own rage seemed to settle. She shooed away thoughts of those annoying bow tied pieces of shit who had all but ruined her life before she even had the chance to start it. Then, Alin's nexts words caught her off guard, as her eyes widened. She blinked innocently as she listened, and judging by the tone of his voice, and how passionate his words were, something told her the Bow Tie Bridgade had made more enemies then just her and her family. The fact that they had foolishly fucked with the Saiyans...that would probably make dismantling their organization that much easier. Although she liked the thought of help, her heart and pride dug at her. How could she let someone her own age go after them? No one in their right mind would! She was an exception and only because she had personal beef. She gently pulled him away, her hands gently resting on his shoulders as she looked him in the eye, concern welling deep inside her own eyes. "Ali....I'm not sure I...."She fumbled with her words. "I'm not sure I can let you do that! I mean if you have no....personal beef...I mean what would..." No matter what, her excuses for why he shouldn't seemed to fall flat. Eventually, she closed her eyes as she searched deep inside. What would her own mother say? What would her mom say if, by some twist of fate, they hadn't been attacked by those stupid bastards? Would she let her go after them at her age? Would she even let her do so if she were a year younger? A year older? Did age even matter!? "I just....I don't feel right letting you go after them! And....it's not because I don't trust you. I do..." She continued trying to talk him out of it. Even if deep down, she knew she'd need the help, she did not want to involve anyone else. It was different asking her father for help, he was an adult, and he was powerful. On top of that, he knew these freaks from the inside out considering his history with them. Alin and her had none of the experience her father had. They might've had the power. The energy. The will power. But they unfortunately lacked that final condition. But she whole heartedly prefered herself being the one to risk her life for the greater good, despite her age. And she didn't want to drag Alin into that. She didn't even want to really drag anyone else into it. "But....I don't want to see you get hurt....especially not by them!" She insisted. "Please Ali...." She pleaded, she couldn't bare the thought of endangering anyone. Especially not someone she just met. "When I get back...if you really feel this strongly about this...we'll go together okay?" She compromised, despite not really wanting to. "We'll map out which bases we can tackle now, and we'll take them down together alright? I just dont want to live with the idea that if I let you go at this alone you could end up getting hurt....alright?" She gave a small sigh, and forced a smile. "That way on top of that, I can still kick their stupid asses for what they've done to me." She finished, smashing her fist into her open palm with a smirk. 585 Words 3337 Characters Running Total 6801 Words 37574 Characters |

Alin could surely understand Anju's worry. Though, he thought it was pretty apparent that they were some sort of significant threat to Earth, meaning that a 'personal beef' was established. This was his home and they had no business trying to wreck it. Especially so soon after he'd decided it was his new home! It felt like an intrusion. If that wasn't bad enough, they'd hurt Anju enough to make her want to destroy them, meaning that they deserved whatever came to them. Alin would have to make sure he was part of whatever inevitably wiped them out. Whether he does it solo or with help from others. Though, he could see that him trying to reason his stance was senseless. She was adamant that he not go and get himself killed. He couldn't help but smile. Not because he thought it was funny, but because it warmed him to know someone cared. Even if they'd just met, she meant it. What is it about a human that allows them to care so deeply for someone so quickly? Alin didn't know the answer, but he didn't mind. It was nice. His head dropped and he let out a sigh. He couldn't promise not to fight them, or at least try. Instead he would have to compromise. "Anju, listen." Alin said, very calmly. He took Anju's hand and pressed it into his chest so that she could feel the beating of his heart. It accelerated as contact was made, but he continued speaking, "I can't promise you that I won't fight the Black Bow Army without you. However, I can promise that I will exercise restraint and caution, enough at least to make sure that my heart still beats when you come back. Okay? I think that's a fair compromise." He smiled with a bit of a giddy laugh. Really, when she was gone, he could do whatever. Though, part of him knew that he'd keep his word, because it'd break her heart if she found out he lied. Or worse, if he got himself killed. "I'm afraid that's the best promise I can make. They've already made themselves a threat for what they've done in your world. I can't let that happen, not here. If in anyway I can halt progress towards that, I will take the opportunity, but not if the risk is too high, for your sake." Alin said, his head bowing humbly. He wanted her to know that even when she wasn't around, his heart would keep beating. He'd be here waiting when she came back. If she ever so decided to stay here for good, he'd be there for her then, too. All this time and Alin had never really cared to think that you could fight for anything more than pride and vengeance. The thought of fighting for a person never came to mind, perhaps cause he'd never met anyone worth fighting for. The strange feeling it gave him to think about was almost too much. His cheeks burned a bright pink as he let go of Anju's hand, realizing he'd probably been holding it too tightly, or for too long. He was pretty bad about that kind of thing. It wasn't like he was used to this stuff, the whole caring for someone thing. Since his father died he'd pretty much shut everyone out, not that anyone was really barking at the chain to get in. Still, change was good. WC: 573 TWC: 8,011 |
