"Haha!" The Great Saiyaman spoke out, seeing that the young girl had done a spectacular job with the thug that tried to assault her. Now both of the would-be evildoers would face justice for their crime, and peace was upheld once again! He barely caught her statement about her smoking, more enjoying the resounding applause from the crowd that had gathered, forcing the Great Saiyaman to take on a few victory poses for his loving and adoring audience!

"Thank you very much, young miss," Saiyaman said, ceasing his posing for a moment to give the woman a 'high five' before nodding to her. He blushed a little at her suggestion of working on his poses--because, darn it, he worked very hard on those! Lots of hours and testing and...gah--but as she made her exit, his helmeted head followed her out until the crowd seemed to swallow her, the adoring fans pressing in to give the Great Saiyaman his due. "Let it be known that crime and injustice won't be tolerated in this city! Not just by its citizens, but by the GREAT--"

"--SAIYAMAN!" He declared, causing another cheer from the audience. At this point, the Police finally arrived to arrest the thugs, meaning that was his cue to leave. "And now, I must be off, fair citizens! Happy Holidays!" The hero declared before stepping outside and leaping into the sky, right in front of the sun so that its rays would cause people to blink and look away--and that was all he needed to disappear.

Shortly after, Gohan emerged from the alleyway again, adjusting his glasses and tie so it rested properly on his shirt. He looked over towards the crowd of people still talking about the event, smirking at the whole thing, before he quickly readjusted his expression to look at least clueless--it looked fake, from an outsider perspective--before heading back into the clothing store to buy the book and jacket he had wanted to earlier--as well as a little something for a certain someone. Once that was done, he had planned on going to the jewelry shop to get something for his mother, but that looked like it wouldn't be possible for a little while. Maybe later.

Unfortunately, before he could progress much further, he accidentally bumped into someone, red hair occupying his peripheral vision as he quickly backed away. "Ah! S--sorry, miss!" Gohan said, bending down a little to look at the woman. "Are you alright?"

The teen actually felt a lot more satisfied with herself now. Not only did she get to meet who she supposed was a local hero of some sort, for the first time, and hopefully provide a warm welcome. But she also got to kick ass and look amazing doing so. The teen couldn't help but feel a sense of good cheer once again, a smile stretched across her face. For the moment, she stuffed her hands into her pockets, contemplating now what to do. {Well...I'm no where close to completing my shopping....andd it's getting late. But I did stop a robbery. Not by myself however...} She thought to herself, feeling her previous bout of annoyance proceed to crawl back to the fore front. She sighed slowly, as she pulled out her trusty list again. "Guess if I can't get things for Mr.Phoenix and dad I'll just have to settle on--!!!"

Posted Image
Feeling her shoulder get bumped again for, what, maybe the fourteenth time this outting? She wasn't exactly keeping track, but then again, when it happened so often to her so far, it wasn't hard to just know how many times based on the feeling. She raised both of her hands as she instead took a step back, straightening her posture instantly as she heard the person apologize immediately. "Nah nah it was my fault! I'm so sorry..." She brushed it off with a grin, although she had to admit, one more time with this and she might just lose it. Keeping her annoyance with the overcrowding of the shopping center, she opened her eyes and looked up to meet someone much taller then her.

Her eyes blinked innocently a few times. {Wow...just how tall is this dude? He sure doesn't look like he's my age either...he actually looks like some kind of teacher. Well...the kind in shoujo romance manga I guess.} She thought to herself, as she grinned, answering his question easy. "No no, it takes a lot more then that to take me down." She explained, flexing her arms even as if to show that she was in tip top shape. "Fit as a fiddle! You didn't bump into me that hard ya know..." She teased, glancing off to the side as nodded her head behind her. "Though if you're heading for the jewelry shop you might wanna try somewhere else. Some nutjobs tried robbing the place." She explained, crossing her arms at the sight. "Sad but, at least no one got hurt. In fact, a super hero came along and totally kicked their butts! Though, I think he might have had a little bit of help...not a whole lot though."

She smiled happily, proud of herself and of the new hero who had decided to cause a stir in the city. "Nice to see at least someone's getting their Christmas shopping done." She continued, not knowing why she was making such idle conversation with a stranger. She pointed a finger to what looked like a boxed gift for someone. "Unfortunately I got to go back to the drawing board on this one...." She said, lightly slapping the list she was holding in one hand, with her free one, a defeated expression gracing her features.

Afterwards, she stuffed the list back into her pocket, and gave last look up to the stranger who shared a small amount of his time with her. How much of it however, she wasn't sure. "Still, Happy Holidays Sir!" She said politely, as she made room for him to get past. She turned and watched the man begin to disappear into the crowd when... {Wait.} She thought to herself, her eyes beginning to bug out of her head when she realized THAT man had been the same one she had been chasing the past half hour or so! {....well....maybe he's not Goten....BUT~} She thought, as a devilish grin graced her features this time. {Maaaybe~ if I'm lucky, this guy knows Goten too! For all I know this could be Goten's teacher! Or worse, his Principal!! OooOooohhhh just you wait Goten. You haven't escaped my wrath just yet!} She thought deviously to herself, as she made her way after the stranger once again, pulling some zeni from her wallet as fast as she could. As she slid her wallet back into her pocket to hide it from view, she pushed past a few people. "Hey wait! Sir!!" She called, panicked. "You dropped this!" She called out, as she caught up with him. "Say....you know...you look familiar." She said, blinking innocently again as she raised a brow up at him curiously. "But I can't quite put my finger on it...." She made a show of trying to figure out who exactly he looked like. Truth be told, she had the answer all the along.
"Oh right! You kinda look like this guy I know...uh uh..." she said, snapping her fingers as though trying to recall a particularly hard name. "Go....ten? Goten! That's it!" She said, with a nod to confirm she was right. "Do you know him? I kinda need to get into contact with him."

Gohan had a small look of surprise on his face as she claimed that the bump was her fault, the woman grinning up at him and being... generally quite polite. For someone that just finished helping beat up two thieves, she sure knew her manners, that was for sure. Whoever her mother was, she definitely should get a medal with this one. The red-haired woman was quick to show that she was perfectly fine, flexing a little which caused Gohan to smirk--just a little!--at her tease, so the older man nodded his head.

"Yeah, I just noticed! Really weird, huh? I mean, who would try robbing a jewelry store in the middle of the shopping season? Still, it's a good thing to know we have such fine enforcers of the law," he said, nodding to himself as he adjusted his glasses. "A super hero, huh? Probably--" he said, pausing a little, the faintest brush of crimson painting his cheeks for a moment shaking his head. "--Probably just some weirdo, I'm sure. Ah, well, when you're young, right? Anyway, you have a good day, miss!" He said to the young lady. Okay, so she wasn't the one that had been following him--so why did he get such a strange sensation while he was walking around? Not to mention her spirit energy was so high, it was hard to not to pay attention to her--she seemed to have a habit of really filling a room with her presence.

"Happy Holidays to you too! I wish you luck with your shopping--I could certainly use some of it," he said, a small bit of anxiousness in his voice and expression. He still had no idea what to get the various women in his life, and if Jewelry was out... well, maybe a dress would be better? He would have to look around a bit more. He finally passed her by, smiling down at her before making his way back towards one of the stores--only to hear 'sir' being yelled out behind him. He paused, looking confused for a moment as he looked down at her hand.

"That can't be right," he said, looking down at the bills she had in her hand. "I only use card..." he said, rubbing his chin in thought for a moment. Did he have cash on him? Maybe he did. However, before he could decline the money and just give it to her all the same, she spoke up about someone familiar. Oh, no... did she see through his previous disguise!? Was the legacy of the Great Saiyaman finally over!? He felt his heartbeat start to quicken, nervousness dotting his expression until she revealed who she recognized in him.

"G--Goten!? WHY YES, OF COURSE," he said, laughing to expel the feeling of anxiety in his chest, speaking a little louder than he probably should have. "Yes, I do--he's my brother. I haven't seen him lately, but I'm sure I could find him for you," he said, removing his glasses and folding them up to put into his jacket pocket. He then held a hand out to her to shake. "Name's Doctor Son Gohan, son of Chi-Chi and Goku. A pleasure to meet you miss...?" He said, dragging out the last word and question so she could introduce herself as well.

The teenager tilted her head, grinning herself and trying to insist that yes, the zeni she had in her hands must have been his....even if it was actually her own. After all, it was the holidays! Even if the zeni WASN'T his, it was the season of giving. And since she herself used a card as well, she figured off loading her so called "loose" change onto a stranger would just make her holiday that much brighter. Especially, if by chance, he knew the whereabouts of her troublesome half brother. The teen kept her head up high as she listened, until she caught the word brother. {.......} Her mind instantly went blank, as did her expression.

Posted Image

"W-what? You two are related?" {Brother?! ......Mom didn't say ANYTHING ABOUT ANOTHER ONE!!!} her brain screeched loudly. "Wow...I never would've guessed!" She responded, now it was her turn to try to stifle her nervousness. Albeit, her nervousness was not due to the possibility of her secret idenitity being discovered, although it came rather close. "If you could help me find him that'd be amazing. He borrowed something of mine and well....let's just say I kinda REALLY need it back right now." She explained, glancing to the side in what could only possibly be annoyance.

Seeing him raise his hand for a hand shake, she did the same. So she could only assume, without her mother outright confirming it for her, that this must be the oldest out of the two brothers she had. "A doctor? That's awesome! You know I kinda figured you must be someone with a really good job, although I kinda thought you might've been a teacher....I'm sorry! It must've been the glasses." She laughed a little, shaking his hand as she nodded. "Well Doctor Son, my name is Anju." She said, figuring it better not to lie about herself. "It's great to meet you too!" She exclaimed, even if her brain was scrambling trying to make sense of it all. So she actually had not one, but two older brothers. Things were about to get more complicated, the teen could just feel it as her hand left his. "I really didn't think I'd run into Goten's older brother here of all places...but I'm so glad I did. I really need to talk to him." {If by talk of course you mean throttle mercilessly for STEALING MY THINGS!} her mind roared in private.

"Even if I do feel kinda bad about interrupting your Christmas shopping...uhm...maybe we could do both? If he's even here that is....unless you need help with your shopping?" She grinned, stuffing her hands back into her oversized coat pockets once more. "I won't lie, there's a few items I can't....buy on my list for a few adults." She admitted, looking off to the side. "But that's only because I respect them enough to even attempt to buy said things. The guy at the liquor store kicked me out even after I explained the alcohol wasn't going to me, it was going to my mentor. Mr.Phoenix." She continued, her hands on her hips as her expression turned to a sour one. "He also didn't believe me when I said I was the owner's daughter either....figures. But it is true." She stopped there, to prevent herself from outright admitting who her parents were. Although in her mind, it should be safe to say her father was the Great Android Terror right? Surely anyone would have difficulty putting two and two together. "Just a pity no one else wants to believe me. But...." She paused, letting out a deep sigh. "Enough about my problems! Let's get back to shopping Doc!"

Gohan chuckled a little at her surprise, though he was not sure why she was really all that off-guard about what he had said. If she knew anything about Goten, she would have found out he had an older brother, right? He hated to think he was becoming that irrelevant concerning the whole thing with his family and all... especially all that had happened so far concerning his mother and Mister Gatz. The last thing he needed was to be the pariah of the family, after all. He nodded to her all the same, agreeing to help her find his brother. "Of course I will help you find him," he said, maintaining his cheery, yet determined, attitude. "I'm not sure if he's really nearby, but I can probably track him down all the same," he said before he had a confused look on his face. "Borrowed something... what could it possibly be that would be so important? I'm not taking his side, you just seem really bent up about the whole thing," he observed, tapping his chin in thought before looking down at the money in her hand.

"And really, Miss Anju, you don't need to give that to me. I would feel better if you hung onto that, even if it fell out of my pocket," he said with a cheery nod. He made a lot more money than she probably did anyway, but he did not say it aloud, especially when she commented on his job. It just felt like boasting about one's income was a quick way to get slapped--and he would get a lot worse from his mother if she found out he had been rude to a young lady like Anju. She looked like she was half his age anyway... "Teacher...? Well, I suppose I could look like a teacher... but, hey, pleasure to meet you all the same, Miss Anju," he said, following up with social protocol all the same.

He pulled his collar away from his neck a little bit, as if nervous about the whole shopping thing. "Actually, I probably could use some help. My mother recently remarried and all to Mister Gatz, so I'm trying to figure out something to get her that, you know, Mister Gatz couldn't already get for her. I was thinking about a picture locket but..." he said, looking over towards the jewelry shop with a bit of disappointment. "Well, I guess that option is out for now. If you can help me with shopping for my mother and a few other women in my life, I'll help you with getting a few of those other items," he said, before raising a finger towards her. "As long as you promise not to be irresponsible with them! Mother would be quite livid if she found out I bought something inappropriate for a minor..." he said, as if the thought put absolute dread in his chest, but he shook his head all the same. She seemed like the responsible sort all the same.

Then, the ultimate name came up. A look of absolute surprise was on his face. "M--Mister Phoenix!? You know Paul Phoenix? Toughest man in the Universe and all of that? Wow! I only met him recently when on an errand for Mister Gatz... I'm surprised you know him! Don't worry about the liquor though," he said, showing her the wrapped box under his arm. "I got him a little something he would like. How about we just put both our names on it in the 'from' section and call that good?" He offered her, that way he wouldn't have to go into the liquor store again. "Hard to believe they wouldn't let you in if you're the owner's daughter, though... who is your father anyway? I thought Mister Gatz owned almost all of these buildings," he said, contemplating the question for a moment. Technically, he 'owned' the hospital building closest to the stadium, but the deed was probably still under Gatz's name, now that he thought about it.

"Anyway, sure, let's get the shopping done together! I was feeling a little lonely anyway, so the company would be great," he said with a kind nod before looking at the various shops before them. "Where to first?"

The teen glanced away at the mention of her seeming way too uptight over what was borrowed. "Well....let's just say it's important because it's something extremely private of mine that I don't need anyone else seeing. Especially not in this weather." She hinted vaguely, clearing her throat, her cheeks tinting a light pink. She peered down curiously back at the zeni she used to deceive him into stopping. "You sure? It IS the giving season after all!" She teased. Besides, with the card her dad gave her, she really didn't need the money. She shrugged her shoulders, it really didn't matter now if he took it right? That just meant she could donate it then. "Well...if you really insist..." She mumbled, stuffing the zeni back into her pocket. "And yeah...ha....good thing you aren't my teacher, I'd probably end up getting in trouble." She laughed, a sweet smile spreading across her face. "Good thing huh?"

"Help huh?" She asked, glancing up at the roof briefly. "Well I'm happy to help! I sure don't mind." She said, flexing again with a wide grin. "That idea sounded great....but....if there's anyone else you can shop for, maybe we could get that, and the stuff I need. And if we're lucky, the jewelry shop will be back up and we can grab that on our way out?" She suggested, tilting her head. "That way if we do have to opt for a different idea, then we can easily navigate to the map area." She pointed off towards a set up that presented the lay out of all of the stores in the shopping center. The set up was a large sign stood up for the purpose of displaying where shoppers were, and what shops were nearby. "Then we can decide from there what we do for your mother's gift." She grinned. "That way you don't have to scramble and feel bad about it! Although then again, you do still have some time...I doubt they'll sell out of the lockets yet."

She kept grinning until she heard his voice suddenly get stern with her, and she blinked up innocently at him. "W-what? I promise!" She instantly responded. "Trust me, I'm not gonna touch anything. I won't even so much as look at it." She insisted, "Have at least some faith in my parent's and their parenting skills; I'm not like the delinquents around here alright?" She asked, her hands on her hips as she pouted up at him. Not that she expected him to trust her....not until he learned the truth anyway. Her gaze softened then, as she glanced at the wrapped box under her older brother's arm. A smile once again breaking across her face. "You know, that's fine with me." She nodded at his suggestion. "Besides...I haven't touched the stuff, I dunno what he likes either....but it's better then buying him a bunch of alien movies that I can't even watch with him because I'm not old enough to." She mentioned, her cheeks puffing up in annoyance. So much for spending time with her mentor over the holidays if she couldn't even watch awesome Sci Fi movies with him. "Well....at least he's bound to be happy with your gift. Well...ours I guess since now we're both putting our names on it."

Then, the greatest question came up. Her eyes went wide for a moment. Well, it was alright to tell him....right? {....I mean he wouldn't suspect that our mom is the one thing linking us...he'd probably just think I was a child from another marriage....or that I'm adopted, one of the two.} She decided. Her expression remained blank as she answered, her voice sounding almost unsure if she could trust him with this information. "Well....don't tell anyone but uhm....when I said I'm the owner's daughter, I didn't mean the Liquor store owner Doc....I meant the city's owner. Gatz." She confirmed for him, as she turned away. Perfectly ready to change the topic now that at least some of the cat was out of the bag. With enthusiasm, the teen girl pounded her fist into her open palm with a wide, care free grin. "That's the spirit! Don't worry, I know how to liven up any shopping trip!" She said with confidence, as she grabbed him by the arm that didn't contain the gift for her mentor under it, and tugged him off into a random direction. "So, about these other women in your life, you got a wife I take it?" She asked, as she led him along. "Why don't we try and find her something extra special hm?"

He could only imagine what she was talking about. Why his brother had thought to borrow something like that, though, even if it was something less harmful than he was thinking, he had no idea. Whatever it was, it was probably incredibly important to her and needed to be retrieved as soon as possible. But if his brother had been using it... "Well, how about this," he said, raising a single finger up, as if pointing out a lightbulb above his head. "What if I offered to replace it? Unless the item has a lot of sentimental value, I'm sure we can find something suitable to take it's place. My brother tends to borrow things here and there, but... well, I don't know if it would be smart to try and retrieve it if its been awhile. Its probably for the best if we just get you a new one--whatever it might be," he said, not altogether sure what he was getting into, but he really should try his best to make things right all the same. It was that time of year anyway, right?

He laughed at her comment concerning him being a teacher, but he merely shook his head. "The only thing you would get into trouble for would be the smoking," he said, looking at her with a knowing look. He took a quick look around them for a moment before he produced a small box from his coat pocket and handing it to her. "Here--but don't tell anyone, alright? It'll be our little secret," he said, a small smile on his face as he nodded to her. She was probably having quite the nicotine fit anyway...

"That was my thought exactly, getting everyone else's shopping done before returning back to the jewelry store. Hopefully, that will be all fixed up in time..." He said, his voice trailing off for a moment as if he had seen what had happened inside of the shop. However, he shook his head all the same. "I trust you, Miss Anju. I just don't want us causing a scene, alright? That'd be the quickest way to get caught," he said before letting out a small chuckle. "Besides, everyone should live a little, right? I'm sure Mister Phoenix would appreciate it if it was from the both of us."

The next big surprise, however, was now on his end, his eyes getting quite wide, his mouth slightly agap, as he looked upon the young woman. "Y--you're--" he started to say, looking at the woman. There was... so little resemblence there! Well, maybe a little bit of resemblence, but he would have never guessed she was Mister Gatz's daughter! He must have adopted her or started really early to pull that off, that was for certain. "W--well, I guess that makes us step siblings, huh? Maybe we should put our pictures in a locket for Mom, huh?" He said, trying to adjust to the situation as best as he could. Wow... what a surprise and coincidence! That would explain her strong spiritual energy as well--any child of the great Gatz would probably be quite powerful!

At the mention of a wife, the young doctor blushed a little and shook his head. "N--not yet, actually. You could say we're in a relationship, but there's actually two other women I need to shop for--Videl and Jocelyn. Videl is my girlfriend at the moment, and Jocelyn..." he said, pausing for a moment before smiling. "...Is a good friend of mine. I'd like to get them both something, but on one condition," he said, going stern all of a sudden before lightly tapping Anju on the nose. "I need you to keep quiet about it, okay? It has to be very special for them, okay?" He said before finally looking around for a moment. He pointed back towards the clothing boutique. "Perhaps there first?"

Anju blinked innocently, watching and listening to his offer. Her expression warping from curiousity to confusion. What, did their brother borrow other people's things and just never returned them? His memory couldn't be that terrible, could it?! "Well....I guess that works. I really feel bad making you have to replace it and all though..." She said, her eyes slowly trailing to the floor. "But I suppose if you insist." She nodded her head slowly, her lips still pursed in slight annoyance. "Goten's lucky to have an awesome brother like you to have his back." She grinned.

Her expression fell once more, at the mention of her smoking habit. She gave a sheepish grin before forcing out a laugh. "That obvious huh?" She mumbled, about to launch into an explanation as to the fact that she only used the stuff to de stress, when the familiar scent prompted her to open her eyes. He was actually giving her a replacement pack? Her hands reached up and carefully grasped the small carton, tucking it into her chest pocket with a sly grin gracing her features. "You got it. If anyone asks, five finger discount." She wiggled her fingers slightly as she said that, and winking.

"It's a really good plan. And it's kinda all we can do at the moment too, unfortunately." She added on, nodding her head thoughtfully. "All we can hope for is that everything is up and running while we deliberate on what to get the women in your life." She grinned, already trying to piece together what his wife at least could possibly want. It would take knowing more about the woman in question however in order to properly understand what she might like and want. She'd save those kinds of questions for when they got to a shop and could actually look at items.

Judging from his expression upon her next big reveal, it was possible that she should not have been so blunt about that. "Haha...is it that hard to believe? Well...I guess that was a better reaction than I could've gotten..." {Much better in fact....mom completely fainted when I told her.} She thought to herself, as she nodded her head. "Yup, step siblings. Guess I should really be calling you big bro huh?" She stuffed her hands into the large and oversized pockets of her coat then with a soft smile. "If that's what you wanna do Big Bro. I'm just glad my dad found such an amazing woman in your mother." She nodded her head. "She's really awesome, and well, my own mother...." {Oh boy here we go....} "My mom kinda....left a little after I was born. So I really appreciate Miss Chi-Chi. She's done a lot for me."

"Two women huh?" She tilted her head, and raised an eyebrow. "You know I really wouldn't have taken you for a player big bro, you sure don't look like it." She teased, as her then poker face broke into a wide grin. "Just kidding. I already can tell, you wouldn't fool around like that." She nodded again. "Goten...on the other hand...." She trailed off, giving a sly glance towards the side. Her head turned back to her brother just in time for her nose to get tapped lightly, as she blinked innocently. She was instructed to keep this little shopping trip, and likely, the gifts in question a complete secret. She nodded quickly. "Well considering I don't know either of the women in question, this'll be pretty easy to keep quiet." She grinned, one hand escaping the confines of her pocket to give a thumbs up. She turned and followed his finger, looking straight at the clothing shop. She nodded. "That looks like a perfect place to start." She replied, jogging off straight in the direction of it. "Well, let's get going then!"
