Seifer led Estrella to the tent where they'd both sleep the night. He pulled open the drapes that led into the tall tent and motioned for Estrella to get inside. It was no secret that he was in a foul mood. His jaw clenched once he was inside the tent too. To keep it private, he zipped the drape of the tent closed from the inside.

Estrella stood inside the blue tent. While Seifer closed the tent, she turned on an oil lantern to give them a dim light to see in the darkness. She noticed his temper-flared expression. He was on the edge of losing his cool. She understood his frustration, but for the sake of the mission, she had to reel in his aggressive instinct.

Lovingly, she placed a hand on Seifer's clenched cheek. His icy eyes looked over into hers when she had done so. He didn't say a word, but she understood why. She knew he was too mad to do talk. She hoped her soothing word would get him to talk about what was bothering him.

"Seifer..." She broke the silence to ease the situation. If she didn't calm him, their field exam would be over before it had begun.

"What's bothering you?" Her voice lowered into a gentle whisper. She hoped it would be enough to tame his inner rage.

Seifer relaxed his jaw when he felt Estrella's hand on his cheek. He then ran a hand through his slick, blond hair. Her soft hand against his cheek forced him to relax. He spoke with less anger because he didn't want to get her involved in his dilemma. He did not want to startle her with his bad mood. However, he did want to release some of his rage, therefore, he answered her question.

"There is something about that Chicken Wuss that ticks me off." Seifer was brutally honest. There was a vibe Seifer got from Troy that made the gunblade commander want to hurt the disrespectful freak.

She listened carefully. Her hand then dropped to his chest and rested there. She had an idea as to why Seifer may have been too concerned about Troy. As accurate as she thought she may have been, neither Seifer nor herself, knew that Troy was plotting against them. Seifer's natural instinct told him this, but he could not act on those instincts for the sake of the mission and the lack of proof.

"Do you think it may be because he is challenging you?" Her head tilted upwards to at his eyes. He had her full attention.

Seifer stayed quiet when she asked him a question.

Rubbing his chest a little more, she waited for an answer. She knew he wasn't the type to willingly express himself especially when it involved feelings.

"I know how you are. You most likely feel this way because he is challenging your position as Alpha Male just admit it Seifer. " She reminded him that she was no stranger to his temperament. Once she poked at him further, she saw how his expression softened as if he were prepared to give her a response.

He dropped his gunblade and decided to answer Estrella's question. His icy gaze never left hers. Since she wanted an answer, he would give her one.

"He should know that I am the squad leader. What I say fucking goes. I don't like the way that fucker is looking at me either...or you." He admitted viciously. Then, towards the end of his outburst, his true reasoning came forth. He didn't care if it pushed her buttons or upset her either.

"I don't want him thinking he can take care of you because I'm the only one who can." He stated arrogantly.

She listened to Seifer's reasoning for disliking Troy. It was what she suspected. Seifer did not like those who challenged his authority. Upon hearing him out, she closed her eyes at towards the end of his response. He admitted that he didn't like how Troy tried to care for her. There was a part of her that liked how caring and protective Seifer was. At the same time, she knew his instincts and need to keep her safe would hinder her field exam.

Looking up at Seifer's eyes, she saw how intense he was with his response. His eyes gazed at her for support. He wanted to know that he was right for being mad. He waited for her approval. Despite being concerned that he would interfere in her field exam, her duty as a wife came first. She decided against calling him out on his protective nature. Having been with him for years, she knew how he was. He was raw and brutal. This meant when he was serious, he meant it.

Finally, she spoke up. Her voice remained in a whisper.

"You don't need to worry about Troy. You're the squad leader. You're the alpha male in this mission. I will only follow your orders." She rubbed his chest soothingly.

"As for him looking after me, you know who I am Seifer. I am your wife. I belong to you. You know that." She confirmed what he already knew. To add a bit of humor, she lightly punched his arm.

"I would knock him out if he tried anything." A smile spread on her lips, but the second she smiled she saw Seifer break the distance between them.

Seifer took a step closer to her until they were an inch apart. He looked down upon her seemingly ignoring her joke because her response was overwhelmingly perfect. It was part of her charm and exactly why he had fallen for her. Of course, he would never admit it publicly that she was his world. What made her perfect was her way of being. She was not only childish and cute, but she had a serious side to her that most didn't see. He could no longer resist and with that he lowered his face to hers. Cupping her face in his hands, he kissed her lips roughly.

Her face was cupped in his hands, and she left her hands firmly placed against his chest. She studied his face as it came closer. Seeing his lips approach hers, she closed her eyes and let him have his moment. Her face jerked slightly when she felt how rough the kiss was. Within the few seconds of the kiss, she was able to relax and submit to his affection. Their lips touched with his in full control.

In their passion, Seifer lifted her off the ground and gently placed her on the sleeping bag that he laid on the floor. He rested on top of her.

She continued to kiss Seifer even when he rested on top of her. During their passion, she didn't hear the bushes in the background bristling that signified that someone was approaching the camp site.

Their loving moment would come to an end abruptly by the sound of a twig snapping underneath someone's foot.

Seifer stopped kissing Estrella as soon as he heard a twig snap.

"Seifer why did you..." She wanted to know why he stopped. Unlike Seifer, she hadn't heard anything because she was too distracted by the moment.

Seifer covered her mouth to keep her from talking.

"Shhh.." He raised himself off of her and remained in a crouching position. He wanted to listen to what was happening outside the tent which meant shushing Estrella for the time being. Becoming increasingly alarmed that their was an intruder, he gritted his teeth. He then reached for his gunblade while his free hand kept Estrella still. His icy glare looked for any sign that there was an intruder.

Seeing Seifer's intense pose, she sat up from her laying position to gather what was happening. It worried her that he looked like he was readying for battle. She hadn't heard the twig snap, yet her intuition had begun to feel an unknown presence nearby. Her heart beat faster. She didn't know whether it was because Seifer was preparing to kill or because her female intuition was begging for her to turn around. While Seifer waited for the outsider to make a move, he hadn't seen that a hole had been created from outside the tent and that a hand was slowly reaching for Estrella's shoulder. His attention was more-so on being the first to attack the intruder. Unfortunately, the intruder decided not to play by Seifer's rules. He would strike first.

With his hand inches from grabbing the woman's shoulder from outside the tent, the older gentleman grinned when he realized that she was looking the other way. The man with her was too...

Watching Seifer with an eager expression, she wanted to know what was wrong. He shushed her which momentarily irritated her. However, she kept quiet to let him concentrate on whatever it was that was bothering him. He seemed to be on edge from the twigs snapping outside the tent. It was no reason to be alarmed though. With how many monsters and wildlife lived in the woods, it was only natural that twigs would break under their hooves. She continued staring at his face to see if she could read his expression. Since she was concentrated on him, she did not see that a hand was about to grab her shoulder.

Seifer stayed as still as a statue. He waited for whatever was outside to make another sound because he instinctively knew it was not a monster or an animal. His Balamb Garden military background had given him experience to distinguish the noises between animal footsteps and human footsteps Whatever was outside, was definitely human. He was too wrapped up in his senses that he barely noticed the hand that clawed its way towards Estrella from a hole that had been made from outside.

It wasn't until his icy gaze met with Estrella's that he saw the shadow of a hand making its way towards her shoulder.

"What the FUCK?" Seifer saw the hand reaching for Estrella's shoulder. Like a canon ball, he shot forward and reached for the hand that had poked its way through a hole in the tent.

The white-bearded trespasser heard the commotion from inside the tent. The scarred, squad leader had seen him, and it was in his best interest to leave the scene. He was given specific directions as to avoid the scarred man as best as possible. Before the scarred man retaliated, the trespasser pulled out a hidden knife from his sleeve. He then stabbed downward at Estrella's shoulder to give him some time to escape the crime scene.

Seifer put his hand in the way of the knife. With the trespasser's stabbing motion, the knife went into his hand. He grimaced and gritted his teeth in pain, but then his temper burned like a pot of boiling water. Hearing the trespasser about to get up and flea the camp area, Seifer rose to his feet. His hands ripped a hole through the tent effortlessly. The older man was too slow to get onto his feet which gave Seifer the opening he needed. Upon seeing the attacker, Seifer football tackled the white-bearded man into the ground. The attacker's knife was dropped from the impact. Even with Seifer's hand bloodied, he struck the older man's head viciously from behind.

The elderly man yelled in pain when he felt his head get smashed in front behind. He had no choice, but to fight back. The struggle commenced between the two as they fought for the top position.

Seifer didn't care who it was that attacked Estrella or himself because the attacker would pay.

As good as the elderly man was at defending himself, Seifer's youth and strength took him by surprise.

Estrella looked over to see that a knife was about to stab her shoulder. She did not scream, but she tumbled to the side when Seifer dove forward.

"Seifer! Oh my goodness!" She saw Seifer get stabbed by the unknown man that tried to shank her. Seifer injured himself in the process to keep her from getting hurt. Immediately, she crawled out of the tent and ran over to the two men who rolled around. She helplessly stood aside as the two were wrestling one another.

"Get over here...old man!" Seifer growled and grunted as he fought to get the white-bearded man onto his feet. They rolled around on the floor for two minutes. Since the man was a war veteran past his prime, he had more experience and fight than Seifer expected. Seifer was given some difficulty when he tried to get the older attacker onto his feet, but Seifer was not about to let that stop him. Even during the fight, the scarred gun blade wielder used strategy. Seifer continued to wrestle with the older trespasser to tire him out. Eventually, Seifer was able to use his strength and youth to gain the upper hand. Once he was in the power position, he threw a punch with his good hand to subdue the old trespasser.

The older attacker groaned in pain when he was punched in the face. He was, for the moment, unable to fight back.

"Stay back Estrella!" He demanded loudly. He managed to see her in his peripheral view, and he did not want her getting too close. Grunting barbarically, he lifted the subdued man off the floor and pushed him into the nearest tree. His forearm pressed against the trespasser's neck. He was in a bad mood because Estrella had been attacked, and the entire day was full of annoyances.

"You creep!"She shouted at the man who tried to stab her because she wanted to know why he wanted to hurt them despite not knowing who they were.

She stood back as she was asked. The two men were panting from the struggle that took place only seconds earlier. Her eyes watched on helplessly because she couldn't interfere. Glancing at Seifer's hand, she then became angry that the older man had attacked them. She wanted to say more, but as she studied the old man, she began to ponder. She was confused by how the senile man was able to locate them in the first place. The camp area was a couple miles from the objective, and it was dark. There was no reason a rebel would venture into the woods alone and late at night just to kill prospects of Limitless. It made no sense.

Seifer kept his muscled forearm pressed against the older man's neck. The blood from his wound ran down his forearm and dripped onto his shoes. He glanced at it for a second. He then glared back at the man when he saw the damage.

"Speak or die a slow, painful death....why did you attack us?" He threatened with a harsh tone because he was dead serious with his threat of killing the man painfully slow.

The older trespasser's vision was blurred. He weakly looked at Seifer whose scar was an indication of how psychotic the blonde haired man was. He was told to avoid the scarred man, but had failed in doing so.

"I ain't telling you nothing FREAK!" He was trained not to speak.

"Wrong answer!" Seifer kneed the man in the gut and cracked two or three of his ribs in the process.

Estrella grimaced when she heard the older man's ribs break, but she did not feel bad for the attacker at all.

The man tried to fall over to reach for his ribs, but the scarred man's forearm kept him still against the tree. He spat out blood in the process which meant the breaking of ribs had injured him internally. He was in an enormous amount of pain, yet he refused to say anything.

"Tell me why you attacked us?" Seifer shouted angrily his icy glare dug into the older man's soul, but it did nothing to get the man to talk. He was a tough one. Despite Seifer's torturing experience, he didn't want to waste anymore time on trash.

The man refused to respond, therefore, Seifer had no choice, but to finish him. He used his good hand and grabbed the criminal by the shirt. A grayish smoke began to emit from Seifer's hand. Instantly, the older trespasser caught on fire. He yelled when the flames overtook him and tried putting out the fire with his hands. Seifer released the man and took a couple steps back. He watched with a sadistic expression upon his face. He enjoyed watching the coward burn in his flames. Try as the older man may, he was unable to put out the flames that engulfed him.

Seifer could not get the man to talk. She pondered over how the man knew about their presence. Seifer must have known that it was strange too which is probably why he wanted to get the trespasser to talk. The older attacker seemed to be trained not to talk because he did not say a word despite Seifer's violent, interrogation techniques. Once her husband had enough, he ended the interrogation with a fire show.

The attacker was lit on fire like he was a sheet of paper. She smirked at the sight alongside Seifer because the man had gotten what he deserved. Seeing Seifer take a couple of steps back to be closer to her, she glanced at his forearm. The amount of blood that dripped from his hand was bothering her.

Troy, who in the background watched the entire scene unfold, was about to make his entrance. He had to act worried to keep the couple from realizing he was the rat who let the attacker know their location.

Troy sprinted to the couple with insistence. His widened-eyed expression were a part of his act of being worried for the couple. He saw the blackened skeletal remains of his comrade. He wanted to hurt Seifer who destroying his fellow soldier, but he kept his cool. He needed to in order to understand what exactly made the pair extraordinary. Seifer's strength was incredible, but what about Estrella? What about this pair had his rebels warned him about. The rebels wanted the duo destroyed more than others. It is why he risked his life to enter into the Limitless ranks. Until now, he hadn't seen peculiar about either one of them.

"What in blue hell happened here?" He tried to act as concerned as possible.

Seifer's chest rose and fell with the internal temper that caused his nostrils to flare. The fight wasn't what had winded him. It was his rage that he failed to truly release on the trespasser. Upon hearing Troy, he looked in his direction. His menacing glare was set on the man who had come late.

Standing next to Seifer, she looked over at Troy. He had a terrible sense of timing. Nevertheless, she avoided a fight and went straight for what bothered her. It was Seifer's hand.

"Seifer you have to give me your hand." She asked hastily.

Seifer was reluctant to give Estrella his hand for two reasons. For one, he did not want her to waste her energy. Secondly, he didn't want to look like a chicken wuss in front of Troy.

Troy spotted Seifer's hand and silently cheered about the outcome. With Seifer's hand injured, he was less likely to perform at his peak in the morning.

She noticed Seifer ignore her request because of his ego. He didn't want to be healed in front of Troy. Troy was the least of her problems. Seeing Seifer's bloodied hand, worried her. She wanted him to be okay.

"Come on Seifer! Stop being so damn stubborn. We need you at your best for tomorrow." This time she reached for his hand with both of hers. She kept a firm grip on his hand so he couldn't pull it away. Ignoring Troy, she began using her inherited white magic to heal the stubborn commander.

{What is she doing...? His hand is trashed. There is no way she is healing that.} Troy thought to himself. He watched Estrella grab Seifer's hand. Then a light blue energy emitted from her hands. He observed in awe when Seifer's hand's wound had closed instantly. He had to keep his jaw from dropping to the floor.

This time Seifer complied. His cold glare set gaze on Troy. While Estrella healed his hand with her power he knew and experienced many times in the past, he studied Troy's expression. He noticed how Troy observed Estrella's healing powers with interest. The warmth of her magic closed his wound and healed it as if nothing had happened.

"What are you looking at chicken wuss?" He questioned Troy because the chicken wuss had his eyes on Estrella too much.

"There that should do it." She pulled her hands away from Seifer's. It didn't amaze her that she healed him rapidly. By now, she was used to her inherited abilities. She didn't like them because she preferred to hurt people, but in some cases, they did come in handy. Throughout the years, she managed to make the white magic into a powerful commodity.

{...Now I understand why it was so important for me to be on this mission. If this woman can heal anybody as easily as she did just now, it could make Limitless even more...difficult to overcome. She is a white magic user. She healed him as if it were nothing to her.} Troy was deep in thought when Seifer questioned what he was staring at.

Seifer opened and closed his healed hand. He could move his hand around without a problem. His once wounded hand felt strong as if it had never been stabbed. Incredibly, his hand felt stronger than before. Mentally, he admired Estrella's handy work and for this he was proud of her. Since the day he met her, her magic greatly improved to the point that her healing powers were one of the best if not the best he had seen. Throughout his entire life, he had never seen someone with the ability to heal to the perfection he had witnessed her do to him several times. He rarely got beat up, but her healing prowess became useful when freaks got lucky against him.

Feeling better, he kissed Estrella on the cheek to thank her. Then it was back to business when his eyes set on the black skeleton. His jaw clenched when he was reminded as to why he was injured in the first place.

Troy remained speechless at the sight. In the past, he had seen people capable of healing, but her healing powers were beyond anything he'd witnessed.

"W..wow that was amazing Estrella." He admitted as soon as Seifer was back to full health. It was amazing, but at the same time frightening. It proved to him why this mission was important for him to accomplish. By the end of the field test, Estrella and Seifer had to be finished off.

She smiled when Seifer kissed her on the cheek. It was a rare show of emotion from him especially in a field test like the one they were on. He rarely showed her affection on battlefields, but she had grown used to his. His kiss was a pleasant surprise. With a rare smile on her face, she then heard Troy's compliment. In an instant, her smile faded because she was reminded why she disliked her magic abilities.

Seifer heard Troy's compliment and gritted his teeth because he had no patience to deal with the punk. What was first priority was the old trespasser. The attacker's presence at the camp was no coincidence.

"Enough small talk. I want to know how the hell that freak got into our camp." He said angrily.

Estrella glanced away at Troy to give Seifer her full attention.

"It does seem really odd that a soldier would come to our camp in the middle of nowhere and so late at night." She admitted to further prove that Seifer's suspicion was the same as hers.

Seifer's glare became more prevalent when Estrella confirmed his suspicion. He grabbed his gunblade and impatiently tapped it on his shoulder as he thought of something to say. As he pondered the events, his attention reverted to Troy. He was quieter than usual. Inevitably, the squad leader grew suspicious Troy. Pointing his gunblade at Troy, he wanted to get the Chicken Wuss' attention.

"You probably led them here didn't you?" He stated accusingly.

Troy's mouth wanted to gape open. Had Seifer known something? He was about to argue against Seifer's accurate accusation, but he had a tough time getting his words out. If he slipped, his mission was finished.

Estrella's expression changed to one of shock when Seifer accused Troy of what she considered treason. Though she thought Troy was an idiot, he did not want a death wish. For most, going against Limitless was a fool's errand. She thought Seifer's suspicion was from earlier squabbles with Troy, therefore, she butted in before the fight escalated any further.

"Troy was at the camp Seifer. The only time he left it was to go pee. He didn't go out far enough to leave a trail." Her voice sounded positive that she was correct.

Troy was surprised at Estrella's rescue over him. He glanced at Seifer who appeared to be controlling his urge to hurt.

Seifer's jaw clenched at Estrella's opinion on the accusations. Her opinion had truth behind it. As badly as he wanted Troy to be the traitor so he could kill him, there was a lack of evidence. For the time being, he controlled his instinct and lowered his gunblade.

She looked around the camp area. It was dark out, but daylight would soon come. Since needed sleep and the investigation wouldn't lead anywhere, she yawned and expressed her need to sleep.

"I am tired Seifer. We won't find out how those rebels knew we were here until tomorrow on our field test. If you don't mind, I'd like to go to sleep." She looked at the tent which had been destroyed. Her shoulders slumped at the sight because she hated sleeping on the cold, hard, and unforgiving forest ground.

Hearing Estrella and then looking over at the tent, he exhaled profoundly because he was mad. There was no way the three of them could sleep soundly and safely tonight.

"You can sleep. Troy and me will take shifts keeping an eye out. You can sleep by the campfire Estrella." He then looked at Troy.

"Did you get that chicken wuss?" He asked unwillingly, but was forced to. He had no choice.

Troy nodded, but remained silent because Estrella saved him from a mishap. He thought inwardly to himself how he close he was to being discovered. He needed to keep focus for the rebels.

"Good, you take first shift then. I better not catch your ass sleeping either." Seifer warned threateningly. He didn't want anymore problems for the night. Turning his back, he then walked to the tent and pulled out the sleeping bags. He carried them and placed them by the camp fire.

Troy disliked Seifer big time. Once the big brute turned his back, Troy smirked because he would get his revenge soon.

Estrella rested her hands on her hips while Seifer went to get the sleeping bags. She was bothered by him not asking her to take a shift too. At the same time, she did like her beauty sleep. It was not a big deal to her, yet the internal conflict to prove herself lingered. She would have to do so during the field exam.

"Don't worry Estrella you can sleep peacefully tonight. I'll make sure of it..." Troy said comfortingly to soothe her nerves, but quickly corrected his comment because he heard how badly it sounded.

"And so will Seifer.." He added as to not make himself out to be better. Like Seifer, he did not want more problems that night.

Her eyes narrowed at Troy's comment. He was quick to correct himself, but it was not enough to keep her from pointing it out. After he said it, she looked back to check where Seifer was. Her husband busied himself with preparing her sleeping bag for the night since the tent was destroyed. She reached for Troy's collar and pulled him close to her. His blue trench coat was inches from flapping into the fire.

Troy was shocked when he was grabbed by the collar by Estrella. He gasped in the process of being grabbed and dragged to her eye level. Surprisingly, she was stronger than she looked. It was an action he expected from Seifer. He kept a scared expression upon his face to play the part of the naive teammate because he had no fear of the woman who tried to play rough.

Her green iris seemed to pierce into his brain because this was her last warning. If he could not follow the rules and keep his smart remarks to himself, then there would be major problems. She spoke lowly because she did not want Seifer to hear what she had to say. Since Seifer was occupied with the bags, this was her chance to let Troy she was unhappy with his stupidity. She had done everything to keep her aggressive husband from killing him, yet he continued to cross the line.

"Look, you idiot...I just stuck my neck out on the line for your ass so I would appreciate it if you would hold your tongue until after the field test tomorrow. I don't want Seifer killing you although I WISH he could. If you don't behave yourself, I'll probably do it!" She kept a firm grip on the collar of his long, blue trench coat. His frightened expression made her feel undeniably good.

Troy's teeth chattered to improve his cowardly charade. Estrella's attempt to frighten him was almost too funny. She was too gentle-looking in appearance to scare anyone.

"Do you understand?" She tugged on his coat to get him to respond.

He nodded his head when Estrella asked him if he understood her question. Mentally, he laughed at how charming she looked when she tried to act tough. It was too bad she'd be badly injured by the end of tomorrow's field test. He'd make sure of it.

"I will do as you say Estrella please forgive me." He bowed his head to show the sincerity behind his apology. Whether he was honest, it did not matter. She would not find out otherwise. Once he was released, he fixed his trench coat and smiled at Estrella. Seifer made his way towards them. As he had, Troy looked in another direction as to not alert Seifer to any problems. He would respect Estrella's demands for the night.

Her eyes glared at Troy for a long while after she had released his collar. Her instincts told her he was hiding something because he was way too cheery for a man that was constantly yelled at.

Seifer returned to her side and saw how the two were staring in opposite directions. He saw Estrella's scowl. It was best he did not ask what the problem was. Ignoring her angered expression for Troy's sake, he spoke out to get her attention.

"Estrella, the sleeping bag is ready. We should get to sleep. We'll need the rest." He placed his hand on Estrella's back to lead her towards the sleeping bags that were placed a foot away from the camp fire.

She nodded at Seifer's comment. Softening her expression, she walked passed Seifer and to the sleeping bag. The night would be a long one.

His focus remained on Troy even after Estrella walked passed him.

"Chicken-Wuss, make yourself useful and go be on the lookout. You take the first shift and in about three hours I will take the next shift." He kept his command simple and to the point. He no longer wanted to argue with Troy especially after the night he had. After he ordered Troy to be on look out, he walked to the camp fire to where Estrella rested herself within a sleeping bag.

"I won't let you down Commander." Troy saluted Seifer in an unnoticeable, yet mocking manner. He could not wait for the morning because it meant pay back was soon to follow. Once the commander had his back turned, Troy made his way to the closest tree and rested his back against it. He had a couple of hours to kill until Seifer took the next shift, but every hour that went by was one hour less that Troy had to wait to get his revenge.

Resting in a separate sleeping bag next to Seifer, she stared at the fire calmly. The fire showed its reflection in her pupils. The night was the last hurdle before the field test in the morning. They were close to starting, and she hoped that the thin line Seifer had drawn for Troy would not be crossed. Troy was a strange one who often brought bad feelings to her stomach. She did not trust him. As she stared at the fire, she noticed Seifer was staring at her. She wondered if he had the same feelings about Troy that she had. It may have been obvious because of his aggression towards Troy, but he was like that with many people. For this reason, she was uncertain if his ill feelings towards Troy were the same as hers.

Seifer studied Estrella's features while she looked at the fire. He saw how uncomfortable she was with the situation between Troy and himself. It took every ounce of willpower that Seifer had not to destroy Troy before the field test. There was a reason he disliked Troy. It was not only because Troy tested Seifer's authority, but it was because of how Troy observed Estrella. She was unaware of what Troy's thoughts were. Even when Estrella was healing him, he saw Troy's eyes taking in the sight. Seifer knew exactly what the freak was thinking of, and it burned him to the core. He put that aggression to the side for her sake. Once the field test and the other parts of the examination for Limitless were over, he would destroy Troy.

When she watched the flames, he flicked his hand to use the natural ability he had with fire to impress her. The flames rose higher which he saw brought a smile on her face.

"You should sleep." Seifer wanted her to be rested for the morning. He did not like that she would be on the field test with him because of the dangers that waited, but that decision was already made. She could handle herself, yet his instinct would not let him see that. There was no turning back. When the morning came around, he would do everything in his power to keep her from getting too close to the combat. She may not like it, but it was not her call to make. With him in the battle, it was not like Troy or herself would need to get involved anyway. In a sense, he was like a one man army.

She smiled when she saw the flames rise to the sky. She knew who had done it. Looking over at Seifer, he looked at her with concern. What was he thinking? It was impossible to tell. Nodding at his suggestion, she yawned and closed her eyes. The next day would be long, and she would definitely need her rest because she had a feeling that the two men tomorrow would need her to keep them at peace.

"Okay. You should too." She whispered kindly. She was too tired to keep her eyes open and check that Seifer fell asleep along with her. With Seifer by her side even in a separate sleeping bag, she fell asleep like a baby.

Seifer did not nod when she told him to sleep. There was no way he could sleep with the freaks that were lurking in the forest. He was well trained to work on little sleep when need be. At Balamb Garden, the military school specialized in training its students to be prepared for anything. He was a squad leader in many missions, and there was one aspect of those missions that remained constant even in today's field test. He had learned that trusting teammates was a bad mistake. Since Estrella was more than a teammate, she did not count in his experiences. He wouldn't sleep even after she requested him to. Not to mention, it was Troy who was keeping an eye out. He did not trust the man the first time he saw him, and this situation was no different.

In the meantime, he took the time to secretly admire Estrella while she slept. His icy stare softened when he saw her beautiful features accentuated by the flames' dim light. Her chest rose and fell in a rhythmic manner. He had seen how she slept a thousand nights before, but the sight never got boring to him. It still made the arrogant and brutal commander soften to the core even if he would never admit it. He wouldn't admit it vocally anyway, but he always let Estrella know how he felt with actions. In life, actions always spoke louder than words. This is why he preferred to let his actions do the talking.

Troy rested against a tree. His head turned to check up on Estrella and Seifer who were laying next to each other in separate sleeping bags. He could not see if they were asleep yet though. As he gazed at them, he saw how the flames rose higher into the sky. It was probably Seifer who had something to do with it.

"I hope that arrogant fool gets taken down a notch or two. I can't wait to see his face tomorrow after I crush the one thing that makes him decent." Troy had already planned on how he would attack the duo tomorrow. He was certain Seifer would separate himself from Estrella at one point. Once he had done so, Troy would use it to his advantage. His rebel faction was notified of his plans. There was not anything that could go wrong tomorrow.

Having fallen asleep, midnight was quickly upon them which meant Seifer's turn arrived. She heard rustling sounds that indicated that Seifer was due for his shift. She did not want him to leave her side though. Instinctively, even in her sleeping state, she grabbed his arm to keep him from leaving her side.

Seifer had not slept, but he felt good. There were times at Balamb Garden where he had to force his body to stay awake. For this reason, he grew used to staying awake overnight. The night was silent. Since the attack on their tent, no one dared trespass onto the camp site again. His shift soon arrived, and he was about to take over for Troy. He rose to his feet and reached for his gunblade. As he stood, he felt his arm get grabbed. His gaze fell upon Estrella who was still asleep. He knew what it meant when she did not want him to leave her side. He had a tinge of guilt because he knew exactly what the problem was.

Troy walked to the campfire when his shift was over, but noticed Seifer was in Estrella's clutches. She was asleep, yet had taken hold of Seifer's arm. He saw the commander stuck in a dilemma.

"What's wrong Commander?" He asked as if he cared.

Seifer crouched next to Estrella. His hand rested on her forehead to ease her into letting him arm go.

"She hates sleeping alone." It was a miracle he replied to the Chicken Wuss' question, but since he was late on his shift, he wanted Troy to know why.

Troy looked on as if he felt guilty too.

"Why?" He stared at Estrella who by some miracle was able to react to their conversation
.

Unwillingly, Estrella released her hold on Seifer. Her face crumpled in defeat even while she slept.

Seifer ran a hand through his slick, blonde hair and turned his attention to Troy. Troy asked a lot of questions that didn't concern him which irritated the scarred gunblade weilder. Despite the hatred Seifer had for the guy, he answered Troy's question. It was not without an insulting the nosy teammate either.

"When she was alone out there in the world, freaks like you would try to attack her at night. She gets paranoid when she is by herself. I don't blame her for being like this. I blame Chicken Wusses like you." His teeth grit at the thought. He recalled the number of times he fought by her side and defended her against punks like Troy. His eyes burned with the need to find those freaks who made her afraid and kill them all. If he had met her sooner, none of those freaks would have scarred her. He was her knight now which meant no one would so much as look at her funny without him killing them. With her figure, it was no surprise it was dangerous for her to sleep at night and alone. He hated leaving her alone, but he would not be too far away. She'd have to understand despite the already uncomfortable expression she had given him. Glancing at her one last time, he then walked over to the tree that Troy rested on. It was his turn to watch for the night.

Troy looked on and appeared sympathetic, but he was not. Estrella's story was as sad as they come. This did not mean he would change his plans to keep her out of Limitless though. The both of them were the reason the rebel faction existed. While they had attributes of love, it was only among themselves. The couple would destroy and kill innocents if they had too for the Limitless cause. Seifer was a threat who needed to be dealt with. It was no secret that Seifer's downfall was Estrella, and this is who he would focus his plan on. By tomorrow, they both would be after thoughts.

The morning came as it always had. The birds of the forest sang their specific calls. The heavenly sun shined through the given spaces provided by the trees above. Seifer had kept his gunblade at his side as he remained seated against the the tree. His finger traced the handle of his gunblade. Turning his head, he looked over at Troy and Estrella who were asleep. He kept awake the entire night to make sure the camp was not attacked again. He would never trust a man like Troy to watch over the safety of him and his wife. Looking over at Troy, there was something about the freak that he could not place his finger on.

He glanced up at the cloudless sky. It was early morning, but there was enough light now to head forward. It was time to get the mission under way. He rose to his feet and grabbed his long trench coat. Once he placed it on, he walked to the camp sight and lightly kicked Troy to wake up. He figured he would give Estrella an extra five minutes especially because of how hard it was for her to sleep at night. It bothered him how many times she rolled in her sleep while he kept a look out.

"Rise and shine freak" He kicked Troy a second time to get him to wake up. He enjoyed making the freak's life miserable.

Troy muttered because waking up to Seifer's face was the most unpleasant experience. He was woken up with two kicks to the ribs. They may have been light in nature, but Seifer knew the right spot to kick to get Troy to feel a tinge of pain.

"I-I'm up Commander." He rose to his feet and grabbed his wooden pole. It was his weapon of choice. With his weapon firmly in his grasp, he turned to Estrella who had not yet been woken up.

"What about Estrella?" The sleeping beauty was sound asleep. He saw how Seifer hesitated to wake her up, and it caused him to smirk creepily. While he waited for Estrella to wake up, he smiled to himself as he realized that his time to shine would come soon. The psychotic commander would be put his place.

Seifer gazed at Estrella as she slept. He wished she could have stayed home or been in bed. Nevertheless, he crouched down to Estrella and gently shook her.

"It's time to wake up." He waited calmly for her to open her eyes.

Her body wiggling and the warmth touch had her awake to the morning. The night was unforgiving to her emotions. She struggled to get to sleep once Seifer left her side. Groggily, she opened her eyes and saw that Seifer was crouched beside her. It was already morning which meant the field test was soon to be started. She nodded at Seifer's request and uncovered herself from the sleeping bag. The morning was a bit chilly, but nothing she could not handle. Reaching for her white long bow, she grasped it and strapped it around her shoulder. She then stood next to Troy who was admiring the beauty.

Seifer rose to his full height and glanced around. He was planning the direction they would be headed.

"Where will we be headed Seifer?" She asked because she was curious to know where they were going. The field test was soon to start. Seifer, being the squad leader, had the directions of where they needed to go. Seeing that they weren't packing, she was brought to to the conclusion that they were not bringing any of the camp items they packed for the trip. They would slow them down.

Seifer mapped out the path in his mind. Once he saw where they had to go, he turned to Estrella and motioned his head towards an old trail that led straight to the base.

"Stay behind me." He directed his comment at Estrella. As for Troy, he didn't care what happened to that freak. He rested his gunblade on his shoulder and marched forward. He expected the two to follow him without question.

The path was pointed out to her. It looked like a path that had been walked on several times before. Perhaps it was Limitless who had created the path for new recruits and the field test. As staged as the field test was, the mission was real. This meant deaths could happen. The fact that this was only the first stage of Limitless recruiting meant there was worse in the next two stages. She could not imagine how Seifer would handle her being in a cage match. Nevertheless, they had to survive the field test first before she thought about the cage match. Seeing as Troy and Seifer were ticking time bombs, she had to be the peace keeper for the time being. For this reason, she placed herself in between Seifer and Troy with Troy who brought up the tear.

She listened to Seifer's order and followed behind him. His reasoning for her being behind him was to keep any sudden attacks from ambushes to be directed at her. She knew this was Seifer's protective nature. However, during this field test, he would need to trust her abilities. There would be a time that she would have to fight whether he liked it or not.

Troy walked behind Estrella. The trail that Seifer pointed out was familiar to the spy. He had walked on it several times before. Seifer was spot on with his directions because the worn trail led straight to the rebel base. As for Estrella, she followed the squad leader's command as he did. He saw how she conveniently placed herself between Seifer and himself. She wanted to pass this field exam badly. It was likely because she wanted to prove herself worthy for the Limitless organization that were ruthless. However, little did she know, she was already vital for Limitless. With her supreme healing abilities, he was positive Limitless would not pass up opportunity to have a healer for their military. He pictured there being less casualties and battles being skewed her ability to rebound injured soldiers. It was sickening to assume how powerful Limitless would become.

"I'm ready to fight." Troy said out loud to break the silence.

"Me too." She decided to speak up as well. Troy annoyed her, but for once, he said something she too was thinking.

Seifer ignored Troy's comment momentarily. As he led the trio, he scanned the area for potential ways for him to break into the base. The base was at the top of a hillside about two miles from their location. Knowing how the rebels were, they probably had snipers and floor troopers everywhere. This was a mission he'd do solo. He could not risk Estrella getting shot and the freak getting in his way.

The Limitless cadets walked for an hour until they reached the rebel military base where they would commence their field examination. Seifer rose his hand to stop Estrella and Troy. He placed a finger on his lips to shush them before they said a word. His arm motioned for them to lower into a crouched position to keep hidden behind a batch of green bushes.

"S..." Estrella crouched alongside Seifer before she said another word. Like him, she scanned the area to get an idea of what it looked like. She saw the amount of soldiers that were at the foot of the mile high hill. The hill was covered in bushes, trees, and forest plant life. By the bushes, there were pillars that she predicted had snipers on them. At the top of the hill, she saw the base that they needed to infiltrate. Its large size made it easy to spot.

{How are we going to get to that base with all these rebel idiots walking around?} She thought to herself and then she looked at Seifer. This was his field of expertise. He was focused on the surroundings. His concentration was expressed by his serious demeanor. From how he said nothing to her, yet posed confidently he must have had a plan. Patiently, she waited for his strategy. She hoped his plan included her because she wanted action too.

Troy copied the group and lowered himself too. The three of them inspected the area. He knew the base inside and outside because this was where he was stationed. His Limitless teammates were clueless to where his true loyalties were. He continued the charade of pretending to be one of them. When the time was right, he strike and put both of them through misery. His sights were set on Estrella. Her gentle and lighter appearance made her the easier target to start with.

Seifer's instincts told him the area was infected with rebel soldiers. Immediately, he spotted snipers on a couple of pillars that were at the foot of the hill. He scooted to the side to get a view of the base. At the top of the slope, the base was covered by greens, but was still visible from a distance. The object he needed to retrieve was in the base which meant being alone would be the best option. He decided on a plan once he had a clear view of the base. The amount of soldiers there were at the bottom of the ridge and on the pillars made it impossible to travel in a group. They'd be seen easily. The risk of a mistake being made would be higher too. Finally, he was ready to share his idea to Estrella and Troy.

He stayed in a crouched position and turned to the two who waited for him to talk.

"Listen up..." He spoke in a low voice. His husky tone displayed the confidence in his strategy.

She eyed Seifer when he spoke. He was finished planning, and he was ready to share it. Respectfully, her attention was on him.

Troy was curious to hear Seifer's take on the Rebel Base. Troy had his doubts about Seifer's ability to properly plan. There was no way the aggressive Squad Leader had a way of breaking into the base without being seen. Knowing Seifer, he would no take that chance especially with Estrella around. The base was heavily guarded which made it risky for the three of them to get anywhere close. Since he was not a part of Limitless, it was only Estrella and Seifer. Their chance of taking the valuable item inside the fortress was impossible.

"I am going alone." Seifer stated bluntly. He expected Estrella and Troy would not contest his decision. His confidence to get to the base alone was at its peak. With his eyes on Estrella's safety and Troy's stupidity, he could not get there with them alongside him. The three of them would be seen easily. If there was even one mistake, the mission would be compromised.

Estrella should not have been as surprised as she was when Seifer said he wanted to go alone. She remembered her conversation yesterday with the idiotic Troy. She should have known her initial feeling was right. Seifer was already being protective despite him not having said a word about why he wished to go alone. It had more to do with his need for her safety than the strategy of getting to the base. This is what she thought when he mentioned he would go solo.

"You're going alone?"
She asked in a surprised tone. It was the only comment she could muster without upsetting the entire group and going against the squad leader's plan.

Troy, like a hyena, pounced on the opportunity to agree with Seifer. The vicious squad leader thought he was doing Estrella a favor by leaving her away from the base. Unfortunately, the thick-headed leader had no idea that Troy jumped for joy at the pair splitting up. With Estrella alone, she was vulnerable. Seifer would regret his decision, and the rebels would once again be one step closer to victory. The pair would not live to see their recruitment into Limitless.

He recognized Seifer's strategy and approved it to make it more official.

"Seifer is right Estrella. If we travel in a group, we will be seen easily. It will be more likely that one of us will make a mistake." He said in a supportive tone.

She looked at the two with a defeated expression. There was no arguing when she was in the minority. It was odd how Seifer and Troy were able to agree on something. Whatever the reason, she did not let her mind linger on it. The decision was made. Her husband was going alone.

Seifer gripped his gunblade's handle when Troy spoke because his voice irritated him. The chicken wuss agreed with his tactic, but Seifer had a feeling that it was not out of respect because Troy was nothing more than a weasel. The wuss would say anything to avoid getting on his bad side. It ticked him off because of how pathetically cowardly Troy was. He hated weakness. His eyes no longer rested upon Estrella because the saddened look on her face would soften him before his attack on the base. He needed to be brutal in his mindset.

The chicken wuss understood what his reasoning was for going alone and that was enough to keep Estrella from arguing against his decision. He did not want to hear it either. He reached into his long, trench coat and pulled out a walkie talkie. He handed it to Troy.

"Then its settled. Keep this talkie with you and only use it to reach me if things get messy here. You two will stay here for back up. This means don't do anything stupid while I'm gone Chicken-Wuss." He glared at Troy and expected that Troy would not do anything stupid to put Estrella in harm's way. Glancing at Estrella one last time, he then sprinted into the brush that would give him cover to the hill. The hill was a long climb and with soldiers everywhere. He smirked with the anticipation of a battle soon erupting once he ran out into the open. He had passion for battles because living through one battle just meant you were one step closer to fulfilling your dream. His dream was not only to give Estrella all that she desired and deserved like a Knight should to his princess, but it was to be a Commander that rattled the bones of his enemies. He wanted his name, Seifer Almasy, to send chills to all who heard of him. The rebel soldiers would no doubt do everything in their power to stop him from getting to the base and keeping him from his dream. They knew nothing of how driven his beastly need was for his visions to become reality, thus, they would fail miserably as most did when they got in the way of his dreams.

She looked down at the ground when Seifer gazed at her because she was not happy with his decision. In an instant, he was gone as he took off into the bushes.

"If he thinks I am going to just stay here and do nothing, he's got another thing coming. He should know me better than that." Her stubbornness was her most obvious personality trait. She was impossible to control or predict. Glancing around, she saw a tree that would be her best chance of helping Seifer.

Troy looked at her as if he were shocked that she would not listen to Seifer.

"You can't do that. He gave us specific orders to stay here. Don't be foolish." He wanted to make sure Estrella stayed with him alone so he could perform his plan.

She smirked at Troy's comment.

"You have a lot to learn about me. Who said I was going after him?" She unstrapped her white, long bow from her around her shoulders. Then she walked passed to Troy to get to a tree.

Troy looked at her puzzled.

"W-what are you doing? Look I don't want to get in trouble if you get hurt. He will kill me if that happens." He said timidly.

She hated how wussy Troy was which is why she ignored his suggestion.

"Stop being such pussy and trust me." She climbed the tree with ease since the branches were close enough together for her to grab and step on. Once she reached the thick branch, she eyed while Troy tried to reason with her to not do anything foolish, she crawled onto it because it was strong enough to support her weight. She laid flat on her stomach and scanned the hill below. The tree's height gave her the perfect vantage point over the hill and its soldiers. She would be able to see Seifer and give him support from a distance with her long bow.

Her long bow was placed on the branch as she waited for Seifer to come out of the brushes and charge towards the enemy. Knowing how Seifer was, he was not someone who liked to sneak around. His plan was simple. He would run up the hill towards the base and kill those who got in his way. He thrived on violence. He wanted someone to challenge him. This did not mean she would stand by and watch. Throughout their history together, she was not the observant type. She too liked to get into the action even if it was not on the front lines alongside her husband.

"What is she doing?" Troy asked to himself. He did not expect her to get involved due to Seifer's orders. Troy watched Estrella from the foot of the tree. He was eager to see what she had planned.

Breathing steadily, she laid flat on her stomach. The thick tree branch supported her weight and had given her the perfect visual over the hillside that Seifer would attack. She readied herself for whatever might come. Her white magic abilities enhanced her vision which meant there was nothing that could not be seen by her within the field. She was capable of seeing someone clearly up the hill a mile away from her current position without trouble. Her white magic improved her shooting distance with the long bow. It was a detail Troy was about to discover for himself.

Troy stopped watching Estrella and positioned himself in the bushes. He wanted to see why Estrella refused to listen to Seifer. She rested on a tree branch, but for what reason? Though he heard rumors of her long bowing abilities, he was certain that she would not be able to help anyone at too far of a distance. This remained to be seen. In the meantime, he grabbed his cell phone and messaged his rebel squad to come meet him at his current location which was situated South from the tall pillars. The plan, he had conceived, would take place now that Seifer was no longer close to Estrella.

On cue, Seifer jumped out of the bushes and landed in between the pillars. His sights were set on the base that was at the top of the hillside. The second he landed the rebel faction spotted him. His sudden presence spooked the unsuspecting guards into a frenzy. They rushed to their posts which included trees, bushes, the pillars, and out in the open. They surrounded Seifer. The rebels at the higher parts of the hillside prepared themselves for an attack. Unlike limitless soldiers, they were disorganized and unaware that it was only one man they needed to take down.

"SHOOT HIM!" A soldier shouted in reaction to Seifer landing into the open.

Seifer smirked at how quickly the rebels surrounded him. This would be fun. He scanned the area and noticed how some soldiers were out in the open. The ones on the pillars were the least of his worries which meant the ones blocking his path to get to the top of the hill were his first targets.

"Try to stop me wusses!" He sprinted with his gun blade in hand. The soldiers on top of the pillars fired their assault rifles without hesitation. Sprinting at full speed, he avoided the bullets with expertise. His long coat was nicked by some of the bullets as it flapped furiously behind him. He leaped left to right to avoid being hit by bullets. His agility made it difficult for the men on top of the pillars to get a clear shot at him. After he leaped side to side a couple of times, he ran behind the tall pillars to take cover from the gunfire.

The rebel soldiers were in a scuffle because of how Seifer maneuvered. When the Limitless soldier stopped behind one of the pillars, the soldiers on top of the pillars stopped firing. They were uncertain where he was.

"Get out and put your hands up!" They were hopeful the perpetrator would listen.

"Time to take some of these wusses out." He said with pleasurable anticipation. He stepped out into the open, from behind the pillar, with his arms in the air. The expression on his face was one of arrogance even though he appeared defeated. His gunblade was lifted above his head for everyone to see. He taunted the soldiers by acting is if he surrendered. His true intention was not to surrender, but to catch them off guard. His hellish assault would commence.

"Now get on the floor!" One rebel soldier ordered.

Seifer smirked at the order because the rebels had no dealing who the fuck they were dealing with.

"No, you" He replied with a cool tone.

The first to suffer by his hand were the soldiers out in the open. With a flick of his hand, the solders instantly caught on fire. They threw themselves onto the ground in order to put out the scorching flames that melted their skins. His attack gave him the go ahead. He rushed passed the men on fire and sprinted in between the wall of pillars. His next step was to reach the hillside and ascend to the base. There was a trail that was covered by forest brush on both sides of it. He predicted there would be those who would try to ambush him. The bushes and trees provided excellent cover.

Once he was made it passed the pillars, he ran towards the trail.

Troy saw how his comrades were being slaughtered by Seifer. His teeth gritted when he saw how powerful Seifer was. He did not expect the man to be able to take down the first line of troops as simply as he had.

The troops on the pillars fired at Seifer, but he was already gone. Knowing how important it was to stop Seifer, the pillar rebels descended to level ground and chased after him.

Troy reached into his coat and pulled out binoculars. He traced Seifer's movements to the trail that led to the base. In the forested area, there were troops prepared to ambush him. He predicted that the surprise attacks would be enough to stop the psychotic, squad leader.

"This is where you stop Seifer." He said with certainty as he watched.

Seifer ascended through the bushes. His strong legs made his climb up the hill look like no sweat. It was almost too quiet when he made his way into the rebel's zone. A soldier jumped out at Seifer. The soldier jumping out did not startle Seifer at all. With a flick of his wrist, his gunblade slashed the man across the chest. The swing of Hyperion gun blade was effortless, yet resulted in a bloodied assault.

Estrella steadied her long bow as she spectated Seifer from a distance. He was causing problems as he always had for those who opposed him. She was used to seeing him beat his way to the top, and this situation was no exception. As she waited for a chance to help him, she caught sight of the rebels who lowered themselves from the pillars. They chased after Seifer critically. She did not know if Seifer was unaware that he was being followed. She kept an eye on the pillared soldiers.

Seifer slashed at more rebel punks who were foolish enough to attack him. His flicks were swift, quick, and left brutal gashes on his fallen enemies. He continued his climb after every death blow he delivered. He was unaware that there were soldiers who followed him from the pillars. His tunnel vision focused only on his destination which was the top of the hill.

"We can get him!" The soldiers following the Limitless cadet spread apart into the brush that surrounded the path he was taking to get to the base. They were going to jump him from all sides.

"What the fuck?" Troy punched the ground when he witnessed Seifer slash his way passed his comrades like they were test dummies. His outburst was not loud enough for Seifer's wife to hear though. She was too concentrated on her need to help to notice. What made the deaths of his soldiers more agonizing is that Seifer didn't feel an ounce of remorse for them. Having seen enough of the blood bath, Troy got out of the bushes and walked to the tree where Estrella waited. What was she doing? At the rate Seifer was going, it did not look like the scarred man needed back up. He too saw well from the tree she had chosen with his binoculars. He wanted to see what she was planning. From his point of view, she was nothing more than a spectator like him.

{I will get that man back for all this.} Troy balled his fist when he caught Seifer kick a rebel with his boot and then stab him through the chest. It was a sport to the scarred psychotic.

Seifer charged up the hill at a blitzing speed. His strong legs propelled him up the trail swiftly. As he ran up the slope, his gun blade slashed at those who dared cross his path. He was quickly approaching the base which meant the security would be tighter. He was ready for all the challenges that awaited him. With his drive to succeed, a thousand armies couldn't keep him out.

The rebel soldiers chased after Seifer. There were four in total who were gaining on the scarred mad man. They were higher ranked soldiers than the one he had slashed during his trip up the hill.

"This guy is fucking fast, but we'll get him. We should split up." One of the rebels commanded at the other four. The four soldiers spread into the wild brush to surround the Limitless pig. They followed the pig since his departure from the pillar grounds and were not happy with the blood shed of their friends.

Seifer, who heard rustling in the bushes, stopped because the soldiers had a new strategy other than to attack him head on. It momentarily caught him off guard. He glared at the bushes around him to see if he spotted another victim. There was no one who jumped at him yet. Then a noise was heard next to him within the bushes. His head turned to the left. With his head turned to the left because he heard more steps from twigs cracking, he did not see that one soldier was about to tackle him from behind. The soldier tiptoed in front of a tree readied to pounce on the unsuspecting psychopath.

Troy observed the scene from his binoculars. The soldiers had a good tactic of spreading out. He grinned in anticipation when he saw that Seifer was about to get jumped.

"You're done Squad Leader..." He murmured victoriously.

"Oh no...Turn around Seifer..." Estrella begged in a soft tone, but knew she could not be heard. This was the fierce woman's cue. She grabbed an arrow from the case strapped to her back and placed it against the necking point of her long bow. Her fingers gripped the nock of the arrow and pulled it along with the string. The string and nock of the arrow pressed against her cheek to get the full range of the long bow. Then she focused on her target. Her white magic enhanced her senses especially her vision which was necessary for her to see the intended victim. Her eyesight was as if she had a built in binocular set. She zoned in on the man who dared attack her husband from behind. Once she got a clear visual on the soldier's position in front of a tree, she fired the arrow with no remorse.

Confidently, she released the arrow, and it struck its intended target within a second. He had no time to react.

The soldier, who was about attack Seifer from behind, yelled when his arm was suddenly struck with an arrow. His arm slammed into the tree's bark from the velocity of what hit him. His eyes widened at the sight of what the arrow had done to him. It pierced his flesh and left him vulnerable to attack because he was immobilized. He was in too much pain to see that scarred mad man was alerted to his presence.

Seifer turned instantly when he heard a man shout as if he had been shot. He was indeed shot, but not by a bullet. It was a rebel soldier who was pinned against a tree with an arrow going through his arm. His eyes followed the trajectory of the arrow towards a set of trees. Even though he could not make out who had done it by just looking in the distance, there were tall trees heavily covered which meant only one thing....Estrella. He smirked when he realized who had fired the arrow to stop the rebel from attacking him from behind.

"That's my girl." He announced proudly. Seeing that the rebel was in great pain, he wanted to mock him further. He walked casually to the man who was pinned to the tree and whistled as he had done so.

"You're shit out of luck." He continued smirking. The other three soldiers were hidden in the bushes, but he already knew they were there despite them thinking they were safe. The surprised attack would not work on him any longer. Arrogantly, he stood in front of the pinned soldier who struggled to break free from his unfortunate predicament.

"L-leave me alone." He stated in a shaky tone. He panicked when he noticed that the scarred man's attention was on him. The sweat dripped in angst when the limitless cadet approached him. The soldier desperately tried to pull the arrow from his arm. He winced when the arrow would not come out.

"That looks painful" Seifer's ridiculed with a twisted grin that represented the overjoyed pleasure he was having seeing the rebel helpless.

"I said stay back!" The rebel wiggled in fear. The arrow would not budge.

Seifer stopped in front of the defenseless soldier. When he saw how scared the soldier was, the fear made him feel incredible. The smirk on his face indicated that he had nothing helpful in mind for the worried soldier, and he was about to make his pain a lot worse.

"Here I should help you!" Seifer brutishly tore the arrow from the rebel's arm and basked in the glory of the painful howl that came along with it. The arrow's sharp tip ripped the flesh on its way out leaving the soldier with a gaping hole in his bicep.

The soldier's anguish scream echoed throughout the hillside.

"Yes!"
She smiled when she hit her intended target. She celebrated with a weak fist pump.

Troy's mouth gaped open when he saw Estrella hit a man from the distance she had with her arrow. Her accuracy was unreal.

"You got to be kidding me?" He had seen enough. After witnessing Estrella's ability to fire an arrow and use her white magic abilities to heal those around her, he grabbed his cell phone and communicated with his squad. It was over. The plan would commence. His revenge would not be stopped.
