Tambourine had been busy for the past week and a half, spreading some chaos, terror and panic via a malicious prank that involved him attacking prominent fighters, but not killing them, and then leaving the symbol of the Demon Clan behind on their unconscious bodies. It was a nice bit of fun that made him reminiscent of the old days, his only disappointment being that he was unable to kill anyone like he used to. He cursed his feelings of familial bonds and loyalty that made him promise to not kill any of these wretched inferior Earthlings because his baby Brother saw them as his family. Honestly, he felt like his baby Brother was only lonely, due to growing up all of these years all by himself, so much so that he ignored the knowledge that his Father had, that these creatures were filthy wretches that would willingly hurt their own, making it so that they deserved nothing less than to be conquered and slaughtered like the useless cattle that they were. However, Tambourine didn't want to hurt his baby Brother, so he had promised not to hurt them, and he was regretting making the promise. However, he stuck to his guns until he could prove his baby Brother wrong. Right now, he was out here all by himself, laying low after his acts of spreading chaos and carnage by winning a local Martial Arts Tournament, and besting several strong man that inhabited this Planet. then leaving cloth with the symbol of the Demon Clan on it. While it didn't give him as much pleasure as actually killing them did, the ensuing panic and chaos he caused was more than enough to sate him for now. Since his baby Brother was a loner as well, he doubted that Piccolo would find out about what he was doing. He had decided to get some meditation done, as he felt that it would soothe the bloodlust deep in his soul that was calling out to him, ordering him to give in to his emotions and break his promise to his baby Brother by killing people again. Meditation, according to his baby Brother, was something that would calm his mind, soul, and emotions very well, allowing him to keep himself calm. It was one of the many things he had learned while he had been hanging around with his Brother, aside from that neat little trick his race could do by extending their arms out. However, the gargoyle-like, winged Mutant Namek stiffened up when he picked up an unusually powerful Energy Signature that was coming this way. He had learned the Energy Sense technique ever since he escaped from Hell, and he had to say that he found it VERY useful. He didn't know what it was, but he could tell by the feeling of the Energy Signature that it wasn't an Earthling. In fact, it felt more like his baby Brother Piccolo, in a way. Standing up to his full height, the second eldest son of Demon King Piccolo spun around on the heel of his foot, flapping his wings a bit in an irritated manner, ready to fight whoever it was that was approaching him. _____ WC: 530 |

Having put in an order for special made clothing that he'd heard would benefit him during training, Panaka had been told that he'd have to return at a later date. He'd earned the money inadvertently helping with the capture of a thief essentially, and he wasn't exactly sure he had earned all of it. But if he could use such funds to help enhance his own strength then he'd be able to assist other beings more effectively so it was a good target. He headed towards where his small haphazard sleeping arrangements were setup he got himself ready for another day to try seeing what sort of training he could do while waiting. Having been in the city for the time that he had made him have an urge to get back out into the open wilderness, all those buildings and people around made it hard to deal with at times. It wasn't even that he was from a smaller location, but more of the fact that the people seemed such at odds with each other, and seemed so willing to ignore the pain or distress of their others. It was amazing yet at the same time a bit disturbing and almost made him wish to be back in his village where people cared for each other and were focused on helping each other. As soon as he was a little distance from the city he actually started to pace himself heading towards the forested area at a moderate pace. Even though this wasn't the most intensive workout ever, it gave him a sense of peace and he found it to be a state of peace when running by himself. It wasn't quite a meditative state but it allowed him to focus more on his legs hitting the ground and focusing on just the way his muscles reacted to the impact. Since it'd been mostly quiet in the forests and along the mountainside for most of the short time he'd been staying in the area he wasn't expecting to see anyone. Though he had trained as long as he could, his extent of fighting was limited, and he had no doubt based just by the stories of some heroes that he paled in power to many of them. Coming into a clearing his eyes actually caught the quick movement rather than the rest of the form of the being that was across the clearing. Stopping in his tracks Panaka slid to a halt as he straightened, trying to place what race he was seeing before himself. The being had skin similar to a Namekian, but the wings were unique to him, though he had heard of some Nameks who had unique features such as wings. Part of him was almost jealous, not necessarily because of the wings, but because of the ability to fly that may come with them, and he spoke aloud, "I apologize for being so blunt but I have to ask, are you Namekian? I have heard stories of a group that have unique characteristics such as yourself." What he didn't say was that he'd heard that there was at least a portion of these that had only came into existence because of the dark magicians. But that wasn't ground he wanted to broach. The other being seemed to be a warrior as well, and based on his stance it made him wary, though he tried to keep his stance calm before he continued, "Whether you are or not, I need to say that even if I did not come to challenge you to a fight if that is what is the assumption." Tambourine squinted his beady eyes when he noticed a green figure in the distance coming his way. As the being got closer, he was surprised to see another of his Race, though not of the same caste as him and those of the Demon Clan. he had not expected to see another Namekian besides his baby Brother Piccolo, and his other siblings Drum, Piano, and Cymbal. So, for him to see another Namekian that wasn't connected to the Demon Clan on Earth, shocked him immensely. However, he was actually a bit glad to see another of his Race, as he would get a chance to compare philosophies. The Namekian had said to forgive him for being so blunt, and then got straight to the matter by asking if Tambourine was a Namekian. He had told the gargoyle-like Mutant Namek that he had heard of a type of Namekian with unique features, and had clearly wanted to know if Tambourine was one of those. Smirking in pride over his roots, and at being called unique in a way, Tambourine wasted no time with speaking up to the Namekian in front of him so that he could tell him how right he was about his deduction. "You are correct. I am Tambourine of the Demon Clan, and I am the second eldest child of the Namekian known as Demon King Piccolo. According to my baby Brother Piccolo Jr, I am what is called a Mutant Namek. Mutant Nameks are Namekians born from their father who's evil nature mutates their offspring. It is great to see another Namekian, as it lends credence to my baby Brother's comment about how we're not Demons, but rather Aliens from another planet" Tambourine hissed out at Panaka in a pleased manner, his hissing voice sounding very much like that of a snake. The Namekian, who's name Tambourine did not know at this time, proceeded to tell him that he did not come for a fight at this time, if that was the assumption that Tambourine had. The second eldest son of King Piccolo relaxed in a way that was visible, as he didn't come here for a fight. After all, while he enjoyed fighting, he had come all the way out here for the sole sake of ensuring that he calmed his raging bloodlust and darker urges that screamed out at him to break his vow and start killing again via meditation. "I admit, that was my assumption. I was thinking that maybe my amusing prank was starting to cause fighters to flock to me to put an end to me. However, you appear to know nothing about it, at least not until I just mentioned it to you now, so I'm a bit relieved. I came out here originally to meditate to calm my urges that were telling me to break my promise to my dear baby Brother" Tambourine hissed out at Panaka with a frown on his face, having no issue with informing a fellow member of his Race about his purpose here. ________ WC: 504 TWC: 1,034 Edited by Taoranran2, Mar 30 2015, 01:56 PM.

The other male Namekian didn't seem to be moving to strike but Panaka wasn't sure he could trust his own sense of that either. As much as he'd trained for three quarters of his life he knew that based on stories alone he paled in comparison to many different beings that were on this planet as well as other planets he was sure. He couldn't even tell just how much of a variance he was, and there were devices as well as abilities from what he'd heard that allowed many of the more prominent fighters to help strategize. Granted his master had told him he wasn't ready for some of those more advanced techniques and he instead focused initially on helping the young Warrior to master more of his racial traits, and physical movement versus advanced movement or flight which he'd also heard a good deal about but never been able to really try. Listening to the other being he nodded while there was a pause after his description, "It is nice to meet you Tambourine, I am Panaka, and I had heard of the demon clan, though I haven't heard too much on King Piccolo directly except for maybe the mention of his name growing up." So Mutant Namekians, and mention of this Demon clan, it sounded surreal, because he had heard of them in stories. Most of it had been to scare the younger generation or to help prepare them for potential battle because from what he had heard they were mostly evil to the core and they were to be avoided or it was wise to remain wary of anything the said or did. As much as he would like, he was a little wary of most people of any race though not because he was a bigot who didn't believe that all races could live in harmony, but just because a person’s race or gender didn't make them who they were specifically. Listening to his admonition about how the mutant Nameks were came to be he nodded when it was mentioned that they came from another planet, "Based on what the elders in our small village said, it is true. My master actually left for the planet Namek a few years ago and someday I plan on possibly going to join him. But that won't be until I'm able to actually possibly hold my own against him in combat though I have a long ways to go." He found it interesting the way his voice sounded, and based on the sounds he was able to make it wasn't just his outward direct appearance but possibly some of the internal mechanisms that were different. The tongue for example was the one he mostly thought of was how his mouth and other areas must be different because he didn't sound anywhere near the way Tambourine's voice seemed to mimic a snake. Panaka had seen a few of them and someone had compared them as one of the closest beings to resembling a Namekian though he didn't see the relation too closely except for the skin. With Tambourine it made him wonder how else the mutant Namekians may have varied from what he was used to seeing. Hearing the others purpose he nodded and said, "Part of me is curious, as I had pulled some pranks on others but the people I spent time with were from my small community and based on what I've seen in short visits to the city they are nothing to what some of the other races do to each other on a near daily basis." That was true and for some reason he felt himself wanting to vent some of what he had seen to another who possibly understood. Because there were so many vile things he had seen, and as much as he would like to believe Namekians were able to resist such urges he knew that was far from the case. Tambourine's mention of dark urges, and not wanting to break his promises to a younger sibling. Panaka nodded as he said, "Meditation is a way to close out the world and clear one's mind, I was trained to use it often and find it quite beneficial myself. I have only been in this area a week or so at most and prefer the clean air of this area, and the peace over the hectic City atmosphere without question." In thinking on the family situation he added another brief thought, "Though I myself don't have any direct siblings, I do understand the feeling of familial bonds, and I was closer to my master and fellow students than to my parent since I strayed from their path given my sturdier frame. They felt and I appreciate that they had me follow a different path from their own though it took me away from the community much to their discontent. Someday I may return, but I don't believe it will be to stay and it won't be until I am much stronger." As one more thought he spoke calmly and smiled a bit as he said, "No matter what you have done though, I have no doubt that familial bonds could assist you in keeping your brother from being hurt even if you inadvertently had a lapse in judgment, at least I would hope they would understand. As long as you are trying to strive towards what you feel is a better version of yourself..." He chuckled a little as he muttered a little more quietly, "Master would be proud to hear that at least some of the lessons he tried to teach me stuck." Post word count: 939 Total Word count: 1546 |
