Mei listened with rapt attention to the conversations going on. It would appear that Gohan was the son of Goku. It made some degree of sense; the resemblance alone was uncanny and should have tipped her off a long while ago. "Oh, you're his son!" Mei said, "I should have guessed. I met Goku on Mount Paozu during my training to take on my rival. It was that same battle that caused the great forest fire I crawled out of. He agreed to help train me. Thanks to him, I was able to learn the Kamehameha technique and develop my own off-shoot, the Honohakaiha and it's own super form, the Grand Honohakaiha." She then learned the rather feisty woman's name was Avako, who did not seem to treat Gohan all that well. The other woman with the big hair had not said anything either as well, but it appeared to be a group of saiyans. Avako's tail swished about while the other woman held her tail around her waist. The pair were pretty and the familiar feeling of inadequacy crept on Mei. "That's funny," Mei said aloud, "I seem to have a tendency to run into saiyans more often than not. Am I really on Earth or have I gone to planet Vegeta without me knowing? I seem to meet more saiyans outside of the cities than I do anyone else." Avako seemed intent to find out the source of Gohan's power, which Mei wondered in silent why it was so unusual. It seemed many saiyans had the ability to increase their power by great magnitudes, just so long as they unlocked the ability to do so. "Hey," Mei said, "It isn't so unusual, I think, that Gohan has the ability to gain a massive surge of power. They call it a Super Saiyan, but I think other types of people can achieve this so long as they are dedicated to their training. Really, it's no different than when I unleash my own hidden potential." Taking a deep breath, Mei stood perfectly still as she urged her ki to the fore. "I think I have the strength to show you," Mei said, "the fruits of dedication and training!" With her fists clenched, Mei began to charge her ki throughout her body. With a shout, Mei brought her energy outward in a dramatic force of ki, creating an aura of burning flames. "The Flame Awakens!" Mei shouted as a way to call out her hidden power. The flames then absorbed into her body, leaving her physical formed changed, somewhat. Her long red hair now shared the colour of fire, with orange tips on the end. Every strand waved about like a flame, while cinders made from ki floated off her body. Her eyes even changed to a brighter shade of red. She remained in this form for a good moment before reverting back to her base power. "The power is significant, and I think it runs on the same idea and practices as a Super Saiyan," Mei explained, "it is the form of a True Kasai, but I suppose I'm the last of my kind now since the destruction of the Temple. There were not a lot of us to begin with, but since the attack on the Temple, there are now only three. The person I fought in the forest was the cause of the destruction, but now I have to seek out her master." "If you are out here to train, I'd like nothing more than to train with other powerful fighters so that I can get the skills and power to defeat the Black Fire Witch. She's the one I seek, but after the beating I took, I won't be able to stand against her as I am now, even with my unlocked power. I am always eager to start training in new methods and techniques, and as you can see, it won't be a waste of time on your part as, while I don't like to brag, I am a martial artist, a Kasai Guardian, of no small power." *** WC: 678 TWC: 2302 |

Gohan was suddenly hit in every direction and angle with questions and inquires. Apparently the two saiyan women did not understand how a half-saiyan like him could not only muster up such strength but also be the son of a full-blooded saiyan who's name did not even sound saiyan. Luckily for Gohan, before he could say a thing, the third woman on the scene spoke up in his defense, not only explaining how someone like him could let off such a strong energy signature but actually showing them by gathering her own Ki and transforming right in front of their eyes. Gohan was taken back a bit as he had seen many transformations in his life, but none of them looked like the one Mei possessed, which intrigued him. This True Kasai sounded interesting and judging by its appearance, it certainly got Gohan thinking. Mei seemed like a good-hearted individual and perhaps if she had learned to unlock this True Kasai transformation, she would have succeeded in her mission instead of barely walking out of it alive. Rubbing his chin, Gohan thought for a moment, seeing the strength in this woman, even in her current state, and knew there was something special. It was only confirmed by the fact that his own father had trained her, according to her. Perhaps Mei Xing was someone Gohan could become friends with, giving her the opportunity to defend and protect Earth and its people. As for the other two, he still wasn't sure though. They seemed like good people, though Avako had a bit of attitude, and Tanya seemed distracted. Yet he was not one to judge or assume and he suppose it would only be right to least give them the same offer he would give Mei. But that would come a little bit later. Right now he had to contend with their curiosity. "Well Mei basically explained the gist of things. I'm a Super Saiyan like my father. It wasn't easy but after intense training and plenty of it as well as determination, I was able to unlock it. And as far as I can tell, any one with saiyan blood in them has the ability to unlock this state, so as long as you are willing to put the effort to do so," Gohan said, added to what Mei had already said, nodding slightly before rubbing the back of his head, scratching it for a moment before smiling at them all, "As for my father. Well that's a bit more complicated. So how do I explain this as simple and clearly as possible...let's see...Well for starters, my father's real name is Kakarot. He was sent to Earth as an infant to destroy the entire planet and all living things. However, when he arrived, he was found by an old caring man called Gohan, who I am named after. This Gohan became my father's adopted grandfather and named my father "Goku". At first my father was a terror but one day he fell and bumped his head, not only making him forget the whole reason why he was sent to Earth but made him a more loving and caring individual, who grow up to be a noble and respectable person living on this planet. There is a lot more to that story, but that's kind of it really." Gohan was glad he could clear that confusion up a bit, and hoped that the two women would be satisfied with his answer. "As for my purpose for being out here. I've been training. And yeah, it would be nice to have someone to train with but hey, you do what you can with what you have," Gohan added before taking a pause, "So if you three are looking for someone to train with, then I can definitively be that person. However, I think I should warn you. I'm not training for the sake of training. I'm training so I can protect and defend this planet from evil. I don't know if anyone of you have sensed it but there is some sort of unknown evil force at work and if left unchecked, I fear it could very well destroyed this planet. So someone has to step up and stand in its way. Many years ago, my father lead a group of warriors for this very same cause, however most of them have moved on to other things and don't have the same youthful energy that they once had. Not saying that they wouldn't be quick to come to Earth's defense, but I feel like perhaps its time a new generation of warriors rise up and carry the torch that has been passed down. That's why I'm out here training as like my father before me, I want to lead a new team of Z-Fighters. But before I start recruiting, I feel I need to be stronger. And I will become stronger, mark my words." Gohan grinned from ear to ear as he said this. Being able to not only tell someone his true intentions for being out in the middle of nowhere training but to get to see how they would response was something he was glad to be able to do. He wanted to wait a bit longer before he revealed his plans to people, when he was a bit stronger but he felt that it was a blessing in disguise. As doing so at that moment gave him three potential opportunities to find the kind of noble and righteous soul who believed in protecting Earth and its population as much as he did. If he would be quite pleased if even one of them had even the remote interest in what he was saying. "So anyways, I hope that explains everything to you Avako. I'm glad to see you are alright, Mei. And Tanya, you mentioned you needed to tell something, so I'm all ears now." WC: 980 TWC: 4,600 |

Avako looked over to Mei slowly when she began to speak after her words to Gohan, her lips coiled downward into an annoyed frown. Her questions were for Gohan, not this stranger. She found the fact that Mei was answering Avako’s questions to Gohan downright rude. Though her words caused her to raise an eyebrow before looking at Gohan in surprise and somewhat in shock. A Super Saiyan? She had only been on this planet a few short months and already the power she had so desired was standing right in front of her. The Half-breed is a Super Saiyan? One week ago, Avako herself had only a taste of the power Mei claims Son Gohan possesses, her Master called it a False Super Saiyan state. The power she felt in that form was extraordinary, but not nearly enough to satisfy her goals. Her green eyes continued to scan the half-saiyan’s form, the bulging muscles, the aura, the blond hair. “...A Super Saiyan…?” She eyed him closely, her words quiet and fueled with shock. Avako had never known what a Super Saiyan looked like and her family’s mission caused them to be out of touch with current events. The only thing she had were the legends of a Super Saiyan. The legends are of course now proven to be absolutely true, for a Super Saiyan stood before her. Mei said something, but Avako wasn’t paying attention until the woman literally burst out into flames. The flames were sucked into her body before being transformed. The Saiyan girl eyed her closely and curiously. She was a human with a transformation, one that she boasts was comparable to a Super Saiyan. This was a high boast, one that leaves a lot for Avako to doubt. But the power she sensed being emitted from the transformed human was nothing to doubt. Mei was strong, this much was clear. She expressed her desire to train with Gohan, which allowed Avako to regain her focus on the situation at hand and turned her attention back onto the Half-Breed. Avako’s eyebrow arched once again when Gohan not only confirmed that he was a Super Saiyan but that his father, Goku, is also a Super Saiyan. He also said something that irritated Avako very deep down, that “anyone with Saiyan blood can become a Super Saiyan.” In an instant the legend of a Super Saiyan was shrugged off like it was just a work out. The form she had been desperately trying to achieve through hours upon hours of cruel training on a daily basis and still haven't unlocked the form, and anyone can apparently achieve it. No… that cannot be true. My father trained hard his entire life, fought in many battles, and honed his body to be the perfect weapon and yet an elite warrior like him could never achieve the form… Avako thought to herself as she clenches her fists and sneered, the thought of the form being generic and common infuriated her. Slowly the Saiyan girl calmed herself down, not wanting to lose her temper completely. No one would want to see her that angry, considering her own transformation habits. To keep her mind at ease, Avako turned her attention to the next bit of information that Gohan had shared with her and the other girls. About his father’s history. How he was dropped on his head and turned into a nice human boy, which sounded like a friendly fairy tale to tell children. Only his name interested her. “Kakarot… Where have I heard of this name… Kakarot..” She slowly brings her fingers to her chin in thought before she remembers. “Ah! My father told me that name. He knew Kakarot’s father, Bardock… They weren’t close or anything, he was just a name in the story he told be about the infant with an insane power level. I think Kakarot was the baby next to it. He also had a brother… Raditz… Nothing really special about him..” Avako crossed her arms, “Small galaxy…” Strange coincidence it was, traveling to a random planet and not only finding other Saiyans, but a Super Saiyan and the grandson of some low-class her father mentioned once or twice. This caused her to let out a short chuckle at the irony of it all. What are the odds of all this actually happening? Very slim. Gohan continued with saying that he’s not training for the sake of training itself, which was immediately a lost concept to Avako’s ears. Why would anyone train if not to get stronger? No, Gohan was training to fight the forces of evil. The Pure-blooded Saiyan girl rolled her eyes at the notion of saving the world. Saiyan’s are a species of destroyers and conquerors, they do not save worlds. He may be Half-Human, which is probably why he wishes to protect people. Avako on the other hand couldn’t care less about defending the weak and worthless. Her goal is to strengthen herself, not protect people who refuse to do the same. It was true that she had sensed an approaching evil, but she already knows exactly who that evil is. That evil has been following her throughout the galaxy, hunting her down like a bloodhound. Eventually the evil will find its way to this blue marble, and when it does she will be strong enough to take it on. Not for the protection of the humans, or the planet itself, but for her own vengeance. The Half-breed talked about the previous, “Z-Fighters” as he calls them, a bunch of fighters including his father stepping up to save the planet from evil one time after the other. Their usefulness in doing such a task was proven when Gohan said the fighters were off doing their own thing instead of protecting the world. Avako thought that to be a bit cowardly; if she was one of these Z-Fighters and pledged to protect this world, she would do so without hesitation or excuse. That is the honorable thing to do, but it appears other matters are too important for these old fighters. Avako sneered and crossed her arms, “I did not come here to join a militia… I train for the sake of training, to get stronger than I couldn’t previously imagine becoming. I do not have any desire to protect this world, or its people, they don’t interest me. Not to say all of them disinterest me, there are few who I praise. But I am a warrior, not a hero, not a champion. Evil is coming, I know this, I’ve known this before I even got to this planet. And when this evil comes here, I will destroy it, because that is my purpose. But it won’t be for the sake of defending this planet, all I desire is vengeance…” She spoke cold and harshly, her facial expression reflecting her tone. It was clear that she wasn’t a humble hero like Son Gohan or his father, she had her own agenda and her own reasons for training. It’s still difficult to tell whether or not she’s a threat to the people though, since she is clearly indifferent when it comes to them. WC: 1258 TWC: 4,077 Edited by Avako, Jun 28 2015, 12:40 PM.

Mei smiled at Gohan as he seemed to appreciate the power she was able to bring to the table. She was happy to find some more people who possessed incredible strength themselves and were willing to help her with her own training to become stronger and to protect the world. Well, at least Gohan was focused on that. Avako was more interested in whatever she wanted out of Gohan and Tanya had gone silent. Oh well, too bad for them and their small saiyan soiree. Mei, the lone human, would make her place amongst these "Z Fighters". Though she had one pressing question to ask. "Uh," Mei muttered, a finger on her chin as she became deep in thought. "What does the 'Z' stand for, exactly?" She listened intently to Gohan as he explained the man his father was with a sort of reverence. "Your father is a really nice man, and fun to be around to!" she said, "He also showed me that he could go super saiyan too, which was considerate of him. He seemed to prefer a quiet life which is something I can also appreciate. He is very powerful, that much is known to be a certainty, but he is also a humble man with a kind spirit. If you take after him more than just appearance, then I know we can be fast friends, and can help each other train to become stronger. It was thanks to his training I was able to learn the Kamehameha technique and tweak it a bit to create my own offshoot: the Honohakaiha, or Flame Destroyer Wave." Mei considered that Gohan was out here for training and decided to chime in on training techniques. "I have no doubt you'll get stronger, Mister Gohan," Mei said, "So long as you keep up your training going, which I can help you with, if you'd like. I know many training exercises and techniques taught to me by the Kasai masters. Maybe we can make use of them?" She then heard Avako speak only of vengeance which made Mei a little sad, as the desire for revenge easily drove people over the edge. While revenge could be a good motivator to become strong, it also had the tendency to blind someone and be unable to differentiate who was friend and who was foe. That said, it was not Mei's place to interrupt Avako's line of reasoning, nor was it her place to give a lecture as taught by the Kasai masters to someone who did not ask. So long as Avako did not commit heinous acts of destruction towards innocent people in the pursuit of her revenge, Mei would simply be around the help Avako when the inevitable fall would happen. If they were going to be a team, Mei would be a good team player. That said, Mei suddenly felt rather weak. Going into the True Kasai form took a lot of energy from her, and probably was not a wise thing to do in her weakened state. Instead, she shifted her focus back to Gohan. "So what do we do now if we are part of these Z Fighters group?" *** WC: 523 TWC: 2825 |

It was a strange turn of events for Gohan. What started out as a simple ordinary day of solo training soon turned into a whirlwind of interesting encounters, one after another. Each with an intriguing story and even more intriguing personality. It some ways it felt like a dream as the odds of him meeting three young beautiful women all in a matter of minutes seemed like something his subconscious mind would think up while he slept. He just hoped Videl didn't find out about this. That could very well end up in a huge disaster for him, despite him feeling no attraction to any of the women. He had only just meant the three women but in that short time span, Gohan had learned a lot about them all. All three were strong independent women that not only possessed a will to fight and protect but had the tools to do so. Though each had their own unique way of showing it. Each with their own ideals and morals that crafted the way they viewed the world. Avako was blunt and straightforward, declaring that she did not care for the simple noble notion of doing what's right because it was the right thing to do but rather doing what needed to be done because she was a mighty warrior and not afraid to get her hands dirty to prove that, fighting for vengeance instead of salvation. The young saiyan woman reminded Gohan a lot of Vegeta. Both arrogant and frank yet still had just enough of good-will in them to stand against the injustice in the world and confront it. It often took a lot to get someone like Vegeta to come around but in the end, it was worth the hassle and frustration as it gave the forces of all that was good and righteous a powerful ally. If Avako truly was anything like Vegeta than Gohan would be willing to let her cocky attitude and boastful manners be for the sake of the cause, so as long as Avako did not turn her back completely to what was right and true. Unlike Avako, who was quite vocal towards her intentions, Tanya seemed more reserved, relying on her silence to hide the fact that she was a bold and courageous warrior as well. Gohan saw that from the start as something about the woman made him think of his own mother. A woman who was born and bred for combat and grew into quite the fighter, though preferred to not use her fists to solve a problem yet when push came to shove, was not afraid to scream and shout, jumping right into the fray of things, throwing blows if necessary. Tanya possessed the same silent rage that his mother had, which made Gohan happy that for now Tanya seemed to be on his side and a friend. As for Mei, she seemed to have the best grasp at what it meant to be a warrior. It seemed that out of the trio of women, Mei understood the delicate balance of physical strength and mental wisdom needed to become the best form of a fighter. Both knowledge of techniques and knowledge of when and where to use them was often something most combatants never learned and obtained. It was a rare feat, especially at such a high level that Mei had been showing. There was only one other person Gohan had ever met and known to have such an understanding of such things and that was Mister Piccolo, the mighty Namekian warrior who once was an enemy and now a big part of Gohan's life story. A best friend, no family. If Mei had half the skills, both physical and mentality that Mister Piccolo had, then she would be quite the force to be reckon with and Gohan would certainly like to see someone like her becoming a Z-Fighter. All in all, looking at the three women standing in front of him, Gohan could not have asked for a better start to his recruitment efforts. He would be proud to have either of them joining forces with him, let alone all three. Though, the only question he had for them, was were they prepared for such a thing. Did they have it in them to carry such a huge responsibility with him. He had only just met them, but even so, he was confident in their abilities. Though, he would have to think it over, observe them some more and then make a judgment call. "The Z?" An eyebrow raised at Mei's inquiry as to what the "Z" in the Z-Fighters stood for, "You know I honestly don't know. That was something Mister Piccolo decided to call us. If he was here, I'm sure he would tell us, but unfortunately he is on Planet Namek from what I have gathered. Though if you ask me, the Z is merely a symbol for justice and all that is good in the world. It stands for the end of all that is corrupt and evil in the world. A beacon of hope in a world full of despair and agony. A mark of righteousness that when waved in front of the enemy, it sends shivers down their spines. A omen that better days will come and the storm will not last for the light will shine in the darkness till there is not one single shadow left. The Z stands for me, it stands for you, it stands for anyone who looks up to the stars and wishes upon a star and believes." Finding himself giving a heroic speech, something that he often did as The Great Saiyaman, Gohan stopped in his tracks and chuckled lightly, rubbing the back of his head, blushing slightly by his little rant. "Oh sorry about that, I got ahead of myself," He quickly added, hoping that he had not embarrassed himself too much in front of the three women, "Anyway the point is, as silly as the name may seem, its not about the name but the concept behind the name. Being a Z-Fighter takes a lot of commitment and effort. You must really look deep inside of yourself and search through your soul to see just what kind of person you really are. Anyone can be a hero but to be a Z-Fighter, its not suited for everyone. Though with that said, I will not turn you away if this is something you want to be. On top of it all, I am more than willing to assist and guide you along in both your training and meditation. I've learned from the best. You can't ask for any better mentors than my father, Goku and Mister Piccolo. So I like to believe you would be in more than capable hands in me. Though I will understand if you all are still unsure of things. After all we all just met. So don't rush into things just for the sake of it." Nodding to the women, Gohan sighed a little and put on a big smile as he took a moment to look over each of the three women with careful consideration. "I can see each of you have a lot of potential and a lot of edges to smooth over. Both in physical prowess and moral standings. After all things like vengeance is a slow-killing poison. It may seem like a great source of motivation but if not controlled and kept in check, it can consume you to the point of self-sacrifice. This is where mastering the balance of your emotions and your wit comes into play. I can help you all in learning this, among other things. Preparation is key to being a Z-Fighter." Pausing for a moment, Gohan once again silently weighted the three women in his mind, trying to use their facial expressions and body language to judge wherever or not any of them would truly accept his words and still want to join forces with him. Mei seemed genuine as she was the most likely to not only become a Z-Fighter but most willing to learn from him. And in turn, Gohan could see himself learning a lot from her on the same note. As for a strictly training sense of things, it appeared to Gohan that out of all the three women standing there, listening to his speech, Mei had the most chemistry with him. Though Avako had the same potential as Mei but her Vegeta-esque mannerisms and views on what was important was a distinct hindrance. But it was nothing Gohan couldn't help her with. That was if she wanted help in the first place. She seemed very stubborn, just like Vegeta. As for Tanya, she still was a bit of a mystery, as Gohan still wasn't sure what she brought to the table. And there was the manner of her wanting to talk to him privately, which was quite interesting as Gohan did not know the woman well enough to believe he had anything to talk to her about on such a personal level. Gohan was lost in his thoughts when he notice the wobbly exhausted stance Mei was taken on as it appeared that she may have overexerted herself in trying to show what a transformation looked, despite being in a pretty state prior. Rushing over to Mei's side, Gohan grabbed hold of her, letting her lean against him for support as he made sure she was alright. "Whoa there, perhaps you should take it easy before there is any sort of training or sparring going on around here," Gohan told Mei before looking back at Avako and Tanya, "Hey what do you ladies say we continue this discussion later. My house is not far from here and I believe I may have a senzu bean laying around, it would heal Mei instantly. I could go fetch it and come back. It would give you ladies some time to think over everything I just told you and possibly give you the opportunity to discuss things amongst each other and get to know each other better. Does that sound fair enough to you ladies?" Helping Mei to a seat, leaning her against Icarus, Gohan smiled and kneeled to look her in the eyes, "Try to rest a bit, ok? We don't want you to pass out on us. Not when we still got so much to discussion. I'll go get a senzu bean one way or another. If I can't find one at my house, I will go see my friend Korin and see if he has one to spare. So I'll be gone for awhile but I promise I'll be back. Till then Icarus will take good care of you. Right, Icarus?" The mighty dragon and animal companion of Gohan nods as he leans his head and licks Mei on the face. Gohan pops to his feet and gives Avako and Tanya the big thumbs up. "Alright ladies, I shall return shortly, you got my word." And with that Gohan took to the skies as he flew off into the clouds, heading towards his house. It did not take long for Gohan to arrive back home. Darting through his front door, Gohan did not waste any time heading towards his bedroom, searching it to see if he had any senzu beans laying around. He remembered he had a small pouch of 3 or 4 beans that he got from Korin a few weeks ago upon Gohan's return to training. Where is it? Gohan thought to himself as he looked inside his dresser. I must have one left. After a few minutes of searching through his room, he finally found what he was looking, grabbing the small bag hanging from his bathroom mirror, and rushing out of his house as he took off to head back to Mei, Avako and Tanya. He was sure how long he had been away from them but he judged that it had to be enough time for the three women to talk amongst each other and potentially come up with their own personal decisions on what had transpired between all of them and what Gohan had told them. Landing a few feet from them, Gohan could see Icarus was still keeping Mei protected as Avako and Tanya seemed to be just ending a conversation as the two turned to look at him. Gohan waved and smiled as he walked over to Mei, opening the small pouch and dropping a senzu bean into his open palm. "Here you go, chew on this. It will give you your strength back in seconds," Gohan told her as he handed the female the small green senzu bean before closing the small pouch and tying it up. He watched as Mei took it in her hands, looking it over for a moment before slowly popping it into her mouth, chewing on it even slower. Pleased to see Mei trusted him enough to take the senzu bean, Gohan turned his attention to the entire group as he nodded, "Alright then, now that that is taken care of. Where were we?" His eyes shifted from one woman after another, the smile on his face growing little by little as he thanked Kami for giving him the opportunity to meet this women and have the chance to talk to them about his plans. The plans of creating a new generation of Z-Fighters and recruiting noble warriors far and wide to be part of it. If he played his cards right, which he believed he could, he could very well end up coming out on a very good note at the end of this little chance encounter. WC: 2,400 TWC: 7,000 ------------ AND SO AN EVENTFUL DAY ENDS WITH GOHAN MEETING THREE YOUNG EAGER FEMALE WARRIORS AT ONCE, ALL POSSESSING TRAITS NEEDED IN A Z-FIGHTER.
