The Bull King had a satisfied smirk on his face after he discovered that his daughter lived in Gatz's Haven and that the owner of Gatz's Haven owned her. They were married. The only problem that concerned the Demon Father and grandfather had consisted of Gatz. The man had a primal possession as the Demon King's. They were greedy and any competition on their turf meant death. The King survived his encounter with the tyrant only because the tyrant felt a tinge of compassion for his wife's heart. The husband, of the demon's angelic daughter, denied the King access to see his beloved princess and the supposed red headed, granddaughter he saw on the wall too.

"H-hey pal...you g-going to pay for that pepperoni p-pizza?" a boy dressed in a cheesy uniform strained in pain and kicked his legs for oxygen. He regretted his job. He had horrible luck with customers and tonight happened to be the worst because he ran into a violent one who wore armor like an ancient samurai warrior. Unable to break free from the man's hold, the boy had no choice, but to wait his fate.

The Bull King forgot that he had a boy by the throat in mid air. "Is this what you call this delicious meal? Hm, I have no more use for you boy." he commented and took the box. His demon fingers crushed the pizza boy's neck and tossed him into the middle of a busied street where several cars skid to the halt to avoid crushing the corpse further. With the pizza box in hand, he entered into his apartment without a back glance.

Anju jogged as best she could to keep up with her pet, Black Hayate, as he led her through the busy city, her long hair tied back into a loose pony tail as she kept a tight hold of him, on his signature golden leash. This time however, unlike the previous time, she wasn't wearing heels and Hayate's nose wasn't completely glued to the concrete in search of food. No, this time thankfully, it was a simple jog through the city as a nice chance to unwind after a busy and eventful day of training troops and getting in some good training. The teen swiped at her brow to prevent the sweat that was building up from getting into her eyes, as her loyal companion continued to hurried lead her around. {At least this time I'm not tripping all over myself.} She thought with a bright smile, as the app on her smart phone, that had earbuds plugged into them, signaled her to pick up the pace. "Alright buddy let's pick it up! Get to sprinting!" She advised Hayate, who didn't need to be told twice as he began to tug at his leash, as they ran together in unison.

As the duo picked up speed, and rounded a corner, was when disaster just seemed to pin point on their location. Anju glanced up as Hayate moved faster, at the scent of food no doubt, which she had seen a man recently receive. She turned her gaze away just in time to miss that the pizza boy who delivered it was being unfairly strangled. Until the dying screams of her cool new phone app clued her in, as her vision returned to see the now newly dead body get tossed like a rag doll through the busy city streets, causing panic. A low growl cued her foot steps to inch to a stop, as her eyes diverted to the one responsible, going back into his apartment as though they didn't really care. Though she realized what she was about to do could be seen as criminal, she launched herself up the steps of the apartment, about to try and stop the door, but she was too late, and had the door effectively slammed in her face. Hayate's growling turned into snarling, as he made his way up the steps too. The teen huffed before obediently knocking on the door, though the words she was about to say to the person within were far from polite or well mannered. "Hey what the hell?!" She shouted. "The fuck do you think you're doing?!" She carried on, slamming her sneakered sole into the door as hard as possible without potentially sending it through the place and off it's hinges. "Did you even pay the poor kid? Answer me!" She screamed.

The Demon King walked up the stairs until he reached his apartment. It could not compare to the luxurious castles he lived long ago, but as long as he lived near his daughter, he managed. The King opened the door casually, uncaring that potential witnesses saw the heartless murder of the boy. He gazed what he now called home and sat upon a neon colored couch. Since he had no money, he killed the owner of the apartment and the landlord who asked for rent and used the utilities inside. The learned to order pizza from the talking box within the room that he had no clue how to turn off. It played for hours and never seemed to die. It gave the Demon King a form of entertainment.

His door got kicked off the hinges by a girl he recognized from the photo in Gatz's office. Normally, it might have concerned the Demon King that his property was damaged, but the place did not belong to him. It served as a temporary place until he became familiar with the time changes. The girl shouted at him for answers. He recognized instantly that her temper belonged to that of her father's whereas the King's daughter took after the mother. He opened his box of pizza, rolled it into a ball in his large hand, and then shoved the slice in his mouth after the red headed girl shouted at him. The wolf growled at him, but he paid no attention to it.

Posted Image

What caught the Evil King's attention had been the girl's concern for the mortal human. It mirrored that of his daughter's. The girl had both which might have explained why her hair burned an ember red. After swallowing his slice hole, he replied to his granddaughter calmly. "I paid him with a swift death. My normal means of payment usually involve a slower, more torturous one young girl." he explained. "You're bold glare is that of your father's, but your tender heart betrays you. So confusing isn't it? I know that heart all too well. It runs in the family. My queen had it, my daughter had it, and well you have it too. I sense there is more to your heart than my Queen's and my daughter's. Edgier perhaps? Unstable?" he added. He grabbed another slice, tossed it on the floor for the wolf, and then offered another one to his granddaughter.

Despite her best attempts to not send the door flying, it appeared Anju's rage had briefly took control of her passionate heart, and equally powerful legs, in a display of raw emotion. Her eyes burned with fury and a deep thirst for justice, as she stomped inside, not missing a single beat. After her demand for answers, her chest heaved as Hayate followed her inside, his tail rising up and beginning to bristle. He was launching straight into protective mode, for he sensed something was off about the man before them. And though the man was calm, it did not stop him in the slightest. But for the most part, he stayed right by his master's side during her tirade. His growling did not cease.

Posted Image

Once the future princess' question's were, for better or for worst, answered, she blinked her angered but curious gaze away from the strange man dolled up in armor, instead landing to the ground in front of her. The hell was this guy talking about? The first answer she received made her reel back, as she hadn't even thought for one second to meet a man who would answer something just as simply as her father would. But usually, her father had better...reasons to just outright murder the people of the city. It was only really when they fucked up. But her confusion kicked into over drive with every answer after, making her eyes blink rapidly, as if she was trying to process the information through only what was in her line of sight at that very moment. How the hell did he...know anything about her just from sight alone? Had she met this man before and just not remembered it? No, she was certain they hadn't. So where did he know her from then?

Posted Image

She shook her head as his speech went on, 'it runs in the family'? How would he know anything about her family? Not that she made a habit of staying in much, but she was sure to keep herself out of media attention as best she could. Heck, she was doing a lot better than she had in the past, but even then.....there was no one she knew this person, so why was he rambling on? Once he was done, she struggled to find the words to say to even so much as counter him. Where did she begin? He had caught her so off guard and so suddenly she was finding it hard to piece everything he had said together. Her eyebrows tented together. "I...don't...follow." She said slowly, jumping at the splatter of pizza on the ground, that of course, Hayate took to right away. Anju rolled her eyes and shook her head at her own pet, easily bribed out of a defensive stance with food. She hadn't realized the true irony being that she was thinking quite hypocritically, as she too had let down her guard for a meal. Course, this would be in much...different manners. She put her hands on her hips as he offered her some too. "Uhm no thanks." She denied the hospitality, especially given she kinda completely tore the guy's door down. Until she remembered exactly why she had torn down the door in the first place had to do with the pizza anyway! "I-I mean what the hell? Why are you so damn calm?" She asked, her arms sliding up and crossing. "That's not the reaction a normal person has to someone just smashing in like I did. Who the hell are you?"

"I am your grandfather dearie." he commented bluntly. "Use those instincts of yours and you shall see that I am telling the truth. I know you have that special nose of your father's." he added. He already met Gatz who spared the Demon's life because he smelled the truth. The King amused himself with how the girl acted. Her feminine features and aggression were an oxymoron in life. She had a temper, but a kind heart. They were two extremes that miraculously fit inside her tiny frame. He wondered if she struggled often with who she was and who she wanted to be. Her father's killer drive and her mother's heroic heart were two extremes in life. He leaned back on the couch and glanced up at his granddaughter, preparing to tell her a story.

"Your mother is my daughter and naturally you my granddaughter. She won't remember me of course because she is reincarnated, reborn." he continued because he wanted to give his granddaughter the cope of what happened. "You see many centuries ago, before you were born into this world, my daughter had a fulfilling life. She was a heroine. She had a kind heart like your grandmother's and a stubbornness like my own. Her grandmother, my queen ignored her duties as a kai, fell in love, and married me. Our relationship was not accepted in those times, but alas we ignored everyone and had a child. Half demon, half kai an oxymoron in life much like you. " he alllowed her soak in the information before he continued.

"I used to sympathize for these mortals because of my Queen and my Princess. After my queen was taken from me, I vowed to take care of my daughter. You see I should have murdered these mortals centuries ago. Should have wiped them out from existence, but my little girl kept me controlled. My little girl eventually became a woman. These humans looked up to my daughter because she was their savior, but the elder kai did not like that so many knew what she was. The kai had this foolish rule about keeping knowledge of the kai at a minimum." his eyes burned red when he mentioned the elder kai. "The humans chanted my daughter's name, worshiped her and because she was stubborn like me, she refused to accept the Kai's warning. Eventually, the elder kai grew tired of her disobedience, sentenced her to a rebirth, to be trapped in another body as a mortal human centuries later, and to live out her sentence for the rest of eternity. I slaughtered thousands to get to her. I tried to stop it. They tricked me, cursing me with an eternal sleep. The weak humans she poured her heart too did nothing as their savior was unfairly sentenced and through the times they forgot her too. As for me, I could only be awoken if she were to live in this world again. It was a week ago that I awoke from my century long slumber because she is alive again." he commented.

Posted Image

"Now that she is reborn she is no longer half of me as that demon side of her is gone. She is full kai as that fool wanted. The Kai's doing to eliminate the hybrid race, my lineage along with it. Your mother will have no memory of me because she is a new person, but there is no mistake that she is the reincarnation of my daughter. Her beauty, your beauty are incomparable. II have longed to see my daughter for centuries." he voiced affectionately. "I want to be in her life again.' he commented sincerely.

"I already met your hollow hearted father. He wanted to murder me for even uttering your mother's existence as in his eyes that was a sin. I am only alive because he did not want to see his Queen suffer not knowing her her father was. He is as dark and greedy as I am. If you or her were to be stripped from his life, he'd slaughter these humans like pigs. You know this to be true. He only cares for his own. Your father had every right to deny me that visit since he owns her as marriage dictates and as I did with my Queen centuries ago, killing anyone who got too close to her, but I hope that he shall change his mind. He wants no one near his possessions including you. He is smart for being that way." he concluded his story.

Anju's eyes widened briefly at the sudden discovery. While, this wasn't the most shocking concept, that she had always had grandparents, it still made her gasp and step back. "How could I know, I haven't even seen you before!" She spat back, threading her fingers through her bangs. The man went on to explain things that further confused her. Was that the result of what had happened when her father and her went after those alien dragon balls? She tilted her head as she listened on, apparently about the past life her mother once lived. Her mother too, was once a fiery heroine in her own right, with a heart of gold and a stubborness to boot. And there were more similiarities, like her mother being the kind hearted one, just the same as her mother before her. Her grandmother was, in layman's terms, the Bel to her grandfather's Gatz. According to him, her mother was once also an oxymoron, born from a demonic father and an angelic mother. Her eyebrows scrunched once more.

The next few bits continued the long string of confusion, as the man in front of her presenting himself as her grandfather began to sound so so much like her father. And not just the one in the present, but the future timeline as well. He launched into his own story of how her mother was much like her, but had gotten punished for being a heroine. She had committed a sin in her race, letting mortals see and know far too much and for that, she was cast out of godhood. "That...seems...stupid." She stuttered out during one part of his story, the part about her mother being cast out of her godhood to instead lead life as a mortal. But in turn, it did allow her to live in that case, so while it was stupid of the Elder Kai to do so...it was also quite a benevolent act, to allow a woman such as her own self to live, centuries later. But this still meant something insane, something the peach haired woman had a hard time coming to terms with.

Posted Image

She was, in this case, something beyond that of a mortal too. If her mother was a Kai...this meant she was at least part Kai. And if Kai's were gods, this meant she was part god. But how? It had been explained to her, yes, but she was still having difficulty grasping the reality. For all of her life she was lead to believe she was simply a human. An extremely powerful one at that, but she had chalked that up to good old fashioned hard work. Just as she had in her teens. Her hands fell to her hips as she tried to shove her doubt away, and legitimately allow herself to believe the man's story. What then? He has been asleep for centuries and only just now has been able to wake up, simply because her mother was his daughter? It all seemed so surreal to her. But it paralled her own story. Albeit with a few stark differences. Where as her father had abandoned her out of an inability to face her, due to his failures, her grandfather had actively pursued her mother. Though she wasn't entirely the same as his daughter from centuries past, it was clear in his mind. Her mother, Bel Zephyra was his daughter. This meant she was his grand daughter. This meant he was the Father In Law through her mother's side to her own Father.

Voicing that he wanted nothing more than to be apart of her mother's life once more, her heart panged. This man truly just wanted a family again, something the teen was able to understand more than anything. Her eyes softened as her gaze fell to the floor, Hayate tilting his head up at her, with a small whine. He was the only one lost in this situation. She gave him a small smile and petted his head, as she turned her eyes back to the Demonic Overlord before her. She was surprised briefly to hear he had already made contact with her father. Normally anyone who dared to say her mothers name in vain was offed immediately, no questions asked. It was her father's way. She nodded her head and shifted her weight a bit. "I'm sorry to hear that, but it is my father's way." Her anger had subsided, but her guard was still high. Still it was weird to see anyone who could frankly be a great twin to her possessive and overprotective father. It felt just as weird as the time when her future father had come to the past. What a blast that was. "Uhm.... So you mean to tell me Mom and I are....divine?" She asked, looking to her skin briefly. She sure didn't feel divine, half the time she felt normal compared to everything else, for certain mortal. "And if you've come across my dad and he's denied you access to see either of us....that kinda puts you at risk now, if I'm here. Course he doesn't know that but it's not like he doesn't have a penchant for....somehow magically knowing where I am in conjunction to where he wants me to be." She explained boredly. She wasn't even sure why she was explaining anything anymore.

Posted Image

She stepped forward hesistantly, until she was in front of him. "So....you're really my...gr-grandpa?" She stuttered out, her eyes panning down his armor. She still wasn't entirely certain, but as she searched her feelings, and her instincts, she had no choice but to confirm this as fact. Though to most people, this would all be the work of fiction, or that this man before her would be deemed crazed at best, she had seen more than enough of her fair share of oddities in this world. While this too, was still a stretch, it wasn't much of one compared to herself. Hayate waltzed over to her side, before jumping onto the couch before the Bull King and making himself comfortable. If his master was showing no more aggressive tendancies to the man, then neither would he. And plus he was fed. "It's interesting...it's like looking into a mirror." She mumbled to herself. "I wasn't aware momma went through the same sort of life, once before. It explains why mine is so hectic now." She chuckled softly, before ushering her pet to make room for her, as she sat inbetween the two politely. Her spirit was at peace with the idea finally. Though now she was nervous. "So... we have... a lot to catch up on then, Papa." She said, as she turned to him. "Do you even know my name? If not it's Anju, and this is Black Hayate. My pet." She explained, as Hayate huffed, his fluffy head being patted gently, and his thick fur being stroked affectionately. "My father can be quite the brute sometimes, but as my mother says, he does mean well. We're going through a troubling time." She bluntly remarked. "....So if you're here, what about Grandma?" She asked curiously, turning her sights back to him. "Is she alive as well?"

"Anju." he repeated his granddaughter's name. "What a beautiful name." he complimented and leaned forward on the couch. She used her advanced senses and understood the truth about his connection to the family. He knew she would. When she questioned if he was her grandfather, the evil demon rose to his full height. He stood at an impressive six foot five and gleamed down at his granddaughter who wanted to know more, including the fate of her grandmother.

"I am your grandfather by lineage, but no longer by blood. The kai made sure to eliminate my blood from my reincarnated daughter. She is now a full kai and yes dearie you are half a kai. It explains why your hair is red. The hybrid in you burns strongly." he reassured her. He gazed at the wolf named Black Hayate momentarily. It's devotion to her reminded him of the lessons he wanted to teach his granddaughter about herself. As he studied her tinier appearance and her red hair, it became apparent that her hybrid blood confused her, almost frightened her. It frightened her because, at any moment, she could lose herself to the instincts that ran wild inside of her. While the kai in her fought to be good, the father inside of her wanted blood. He understood the nature of a hybrid because his daughter used to be one.

His eyes flickered a crimson red at the mention of his lost Queen, but remained calm to avoid scaring his granddaughter.

"Her name was Megami. Long before you were on this planet. There were many who wanted to conquer it. Demons, Humans, and such lived as one on Earth. Your grandmother and me fought off those invaders to keep the inhabitants on this planet safe and to allow them to live. Our love flourished, but back then our courtship was a taboo. Forbidden. Demons and Kais were not allowed to be together. Your grandmother and I tossed all aside for our love. It didn't matter if we were an oxymoron in life. I was a greedy demon, and she the most beautiful in the cosmos. I had to have her, possess her, and so I did because I could. I was the Demon King and she a pure Kai. When your mother was born, there were many not pleased by the hybrid's existence and even before she could walk, so many tried to assassinate our baby, but they failed of course." he prided and then continued. "They feared the unknown, feared our baby girl because of the power she possessed due to her uniqueness, and so your grandmother was murdered. She died a heroes death. I found her corpse on top of our baby. A mother protecting her child, our child." he remembered his world fall apart and all the death that followed when he saw his innocent Queen lifeless in his arms.

"Then I avenged her, killed all those who opposed us, burned their bodies, ripped their hearts from their chests, broke their bones, shredded their delicate bodies with my ax, laughed mockingly at their cries for mercy, bones of corpses piled by the millions, and I had successfully reminded everyone that I was the Demon King." he growled with a clench fist. "I have already seen how your father speaks about you and your mother. I was the same way and so I understand it completely." he reassured her that he knew his risk.

"I admit to you that I already spied on them both because I desired to see my daughter, princess. I watched them from the balcony window of that castle that reaches the heavens." he admitted and what he meant was their large apartment complex. " I saw her divine glow and knew it was her. My curiosity got the best of me so I stuck around, knowing the risk of how demented he was. Your father would not hesitate to kill me if he realized someone was in his territory, spying on his territory. I wanted to see how your father treated her, to see if he protected her as a father would his daughter and as I did to my Queen long ago. What I saw was far worse than I was with your grandmother, far more dangerous because of how dependent of her he is. I obsessed for my Queen, but not as intensely. Your father needs your mother and in a way no mortal can comprehend. Your mother feeds your father's ego, makes him feel powerful, stabilizes him, and most of all gives him a moral compass." he clicked his tongue, picturing his daughter in a submissive position bent over their bed for her husband's selfish and brutal desires. He saw the lustful pride the husband had because he owned a woman that most wanted because of her unparalleled existence. His granddaughter would be no different. A girl of her magnitude yearned for a man powerful enough to satisfy her whether she knew it not. Once a powerful man claimed her, she'd be the same as her grandmother and her mother before her.

"Allow me to explain. You own Black Hayate, make sure he is well fed, protected, and in return he gives you his undying loyalty. Your father and me treat our family members like possessions because in the end, they are the only ones we can trust. We are greedy and cruel by nature. I'm sure you realize he doesn't care for the humans on this planet and that the only reason he does not treat them like his disposable playthings is because of your mother and you." he reminded her. "I encourage you to watch how your father claims your mother one of these days because that will be you with a man worthy of you. It is inevitable. A rare gem like you must be possessed, protected or else those less deserving will use you wrongly. Your father knows this as did I with your grandmother. The sight of your parents will disgust you at first, but it's a valuable lesson to remind you how special you are and why you must learn the extent of your powers. You must know yourself princess. This is why. You mother watched how I treated your grandmother and learned why she was special, but with no one to possess her or protect her in that time period, who was powerful enough to do so, she was wrongly accused and given a sentence worse than death. I, alone as her father, was not enough to protect her and your father knows this with you. It's why he gifted you that wolf, to watch over you when he is unable to, because as you grow older, your destiny must become your own. As the dominant providers, who pride on protecting our possessions, it is the hardest lesson we learn about our offspring that we learn....to give them freedom so that they keep our legacy alive. I'm sure you've seen your father give you more a little more freedom than your mother because a part of him exists in you and he wants you to embrace it. I gave my daughter too much space when I wanted the same for her, and in the end I paid the price. This is a fate for a girl as valuable as you. I will not allow that to happen again to you or my daughter again. I can guide you as a grandfather. Teach you who you are and my first suggestion is to watch your father. Ask him why he treats your mother how he does." he suggested.

"There is a reason for all his actions. Every time he makes your mother submit to him it is him marking his territory, warning those who want to do harm to her that he will obliterate them if they get too close....but do not fear this. It's how we show the ones we possess that we care. As for our daughters, we show them our affection by making sure we provide them with the best the world has to offer. Your father provided you an entire kingdom and a legacy to own by the looks of it." he referred to Gatz's Haven.

Anju shyly looked up at him, as he rose to his full height after complimenting her name. She nodded once. "Not sure which one gave me it, but...it sounds like a name my mom would think up. Not to say my dad doesn't have his moments too...I really can say my parents are amazing." She admitted. She tilted her head curiously up at him as she continued to politely listen. Her heart sank slightly to hear that they were no longer related through blood, but still. A part of her yearned to be close to her family, and this was why she was listening so intently to him. On top of that, he was explaining things to her that no one else had. As far as she had thought, she was just a normal, but quite hard working human being who had above average strength for a female of her size. It was odd to begin to realize that perhaps her strength came from something more, and yet not feel as though it made her achievements any lesser. Absentmindedly, she began to play with her hair then, at the mention of it being one tell tale sign of her hybrid nature. Memories began to blossom as well, back when she fought General Fatass for instance. He had alluded to the idea of her being more than what she was. Though she hadn't paid it mind at the time, she had been thinking about it after the fact. She dismissed it after thinking that, perhaps it was just a way for him to try and distract her. Now, with the appearance of her centuries old Grandfather, it seemed that wasn't the only reason for him saying it.

She sat silently then as she listened about who her grandmother was. And the time before she was born of course, her grandfather engaging in a forbidden romance with her grandmother, as demons and gods were never meant to be together. Forgoing any warning in the pursuit of romance, they eventually and successfully gave way to her mother, who was in harms way fresh from the womb. Her heart began to sink once more, a heavy feeling in her chest. Something told her this story was not due for a happy ending. She was right, for after, her grandmother was killed. And had died protecting her mother. Anju shook her head sorrowfully. She regretted asking then, glancing up to mumble a hushed apology. The story only seemed to spiral further out of a happy set up, as her grandfather actively sought vengance from those that had wronged him and her. She had already been making the link between him and her father, though her father's reaction wasn't entirely as permanent as her grandfather's had been. "I've seen my father first hand. I understand it, but there are times I do not quite agree. Most of the time, I find myself agreeing....but there are still times where even I have a line in the sand." She explained. His story however just seemed to continue to get more crazy.

He admitted to spying on her father and mother, which prompted her to blush brightly. Sure she knew the...urges of her parents, another memory from that time during the fight with General X flashing into the fore front of her mind. Her cheeks continued to tint. She hoped he didn't have to bare witness to the things they did, in private, but from the sounds of it, he likely already had. It embarassed her slightly. But what he said surely wasn't a lie. Her father did yearn desperately for her mother in ways that were hard to articulate with words. Even her grandfather understood that, and even he thought that it might be too much. Her grandfather then launched into it even further.

She nodded her head that yes, she did technically own Black Hayate, as she was his master. She took care of him, fed him, brushed his coat daily, and gave him love and affection as well as keep up with training him to be his absolute best in case of a call to action. She nodded once more, as he explained that without her mother and her, her father would likely care even less than he already did for man kind then he currently did. The one thing she disagreed with was to go out of her way to watch her parents go at it. Her face blushed immensely at even the thought. She finally shook her head too, at the notion that the same would befall her.

"That I'm not so sure....what with how my father seems to outright threaten any boy or guy who gets near. Heck most of the platonic relationships I have with guys at the moment seem...well I mean just it always feels like there's a looming sense of doom. And it isn't aimed at me but them." She explained. "But...I already understand my uniqueness..!" She squeaked, insisting this as though it were fact. "I mean because I've...already somewhat seen how my father is with my mother. I didn't watch for long though, kinda...was in the middle of something." She explained, vaguely launching into the memories that were already at the forefront for her since the start of their conversation.

Still his words seemed to leave a sour taste in her mouth. But for the most part she understood the basics of it. Her father loved her and he loved her mother as well. He gave her space, freedom (Even when sometimes it didn't feel like it), he only gave her the best and what she needed to thrive, and he prided himself on it. There was a price to pay when a father was too giving, and her grandfather had paid that price, not wanting to relive it again. His suggestion however, only made her scratch the back of her head awkwardly. "Somehow, I think he might get upset if I just....out and ask, why he treats mom the way he does. He may take it the wrong way, like I'm telling him how to treat her." She explained. "I will say I am thankful for the freedoms he does offer me." She admitted with a smile. "Including this city. This place is beyond anything that I'd ever seen before I got here. And...it's always so breath taking. I've met some interesting people here as well. To think I'd run into you here...." She rambled, glancing back up at him curiously, timidly. Her eyes focusing now on his armor, and how it seemed so out of place compared to what she was wearing.

"Well....I will say, I would love to have you in my life. I'm sure Mom will too, even if she doesn't remember right away. It's....just convincing my stubborn hard headed father of that fact..." She groaned to herself, knowing exactly how her father was. He wasn't even civil when he himself came along, what made anyone think he'd be civil with her mother's own father? "I guess step one would be to find you something more....casual to wear. Not that the armor isn't a good look, but I'm sure it gets impractical and uncomfortable at times." She bluntly remarked, blinking innocently. "Maybe we can bond over a shopping trip together?" She suggested. "From there maybe we can figure out how to set something up so you can meet Mom in private. Not that I want to keep this from dad but...." She trailed off. "It might get him to accept you faster if Mom is able to help convince him as well."

"There is a reason why your father ruins the lives of males that chase after you dearie. I was the same way with my daughter." he informed. "Your mother never married in her first life and not was because she did not have suitors. She had lines of suitors of humans, demons, and kai alike. The problem was not with her, but with me. I found none of them worthy of her exotic beauty and feminine strength. As fathers, we aren't satisfied with any male until our daughters find someone much like ourselves. It is egotistical, selfish, but necessary. A daughter could never understand how precious the lineage of her father is to him. I wanted my daughter to find a man capable of protecting her when I could not." he continued. "When I first saw your father, I knew the man was cynical, powerful. A Demon King of this timeline. I saw the picture frame he had on his wall. You and your mother stood alongside him. The only two he cared for. For a week, I trailed him, watched him, wanted to see how he treated my daughter. It difficult for me to swallow how he made your mother submit in more barbarous ways. I struggled to watch as all fathers would if they were put into that situation. However, I stayed back and allowed it to happen because the man was worthy of it. He deserved to own her. It also reminded me that I was once that way with my Queen. I was proud and satisfied that my daughter attracted a man like your father." he admitted and then walked towards Black Hayate. His charcoal eyes gleamed down at the one eyed wolf before he turned to Anju when she told him that if she asked her father, he'd get angry.

"There is no harm in asking him why he treats your mother how he does princess. It will answer the questions about yourselves too. You are young yes, but to understand yourself is vital." he told her. "He won't take it the wrong way. I can promise you. On he contrary, he might have a more sinister response that you are capable of listening to. He owns your mother and to him nobody can tell him what he can do with her including you. Anyone who attempts this foolish endeavor are killed more often than not. However, as his daughter and as his lineage, he would never harm you and instead he will reveal truths to you that he would not admit to anyone else including your mother." he assured her.

Anju recognized the empire that her father built for her. "Ah yes...it is good you recognize what your father has done for you. The King provides the best for his Queen and Princess because they are the ones that feed his power, ego, and are the only ones he can trust in a world so cold, empty. His Queen is his pride and his princess is his legacy. I am sure you've seen how quickly your father's mind can be swayed by your mother's submissive charms. Your grandmother did it often to me during my reign. This world, where Dominance rules, often overshadows the power of submission. From my experience, it is far more powerful than dominance. While your father is loud, up front about his power, your mother masks her strengths well and does not know entirely how strong she truly is. His dominance is dictated by your mothers submission. Your father knows this very well and will never admit it to your mother openly because he needs to be in control as his birth right commands. She could give your father one look from those angelic eyes of hers, to end this world, and he would do it without blinking an eye. I would have done the same for my Queen and one day a man, worthy of you, will do the same." he informed her.

After he commented on Anju's father, she pointed flaws in his armor and why it would be important to change it. The princess wanted her grandfather in her life. Though the King showed no signs of softness, he felt satisfied at her response. In time, they'd become close and already he had a connection with her. The Demon Lord glanced down at his attire quizzically. "You say there is something wrong with my armor dearie? Your grandmother thought I was handsome in this. She couldn't keep her hands off me." he said arrogantly. "I fought many battles in this armor, I killed countless in it too, but very well then. If you feel that a change of clothing will help me see my daughter and be less threatening to your father's territory, I shall accompany you princess." he agreed to go with her because he wanted to bond further with his granddaughter.

She sighed a bit to hear that her grandfather may in fact become the same way with her too. "Yeah but.... Not that I want to say I'm different, but most of the 'guys' who I hang out with aren't out for that! Er...and by that I mean....uh..." She rambled a bit trying to find what she meant. In this day and age, the most insufferable and shameless thing to do half the time to any one person was to lead them on. Blushing she launched into her mini-explanation on the changes to culture that had occurred as her grandfather slept. "In this day and age, the most terrible crime to befall any person in the throes of romance would be to be lead astray and into someone's bedroom. And while I've run into guys like that, back when I was barely an adult even, I think I personally set them in their places. The only one I've run into so far who is even close to that hasn't once tried to lead me anywhere except out for a night of fun that has nothing to do with what he ends up doing when we go home for the night." She explained vaguely. "I guess what I'm trying to say really is...that for anyone who can barely match me in strength I can handle. And that for anyone who can match me in strength, I can reason with." She grinned brightly. "Even still....I will say, I understand the worry. But I think I'm...doing alright so far. Love is complicated, but not that complicated."

"Good thing I have yet to find that one guy at all." She laughed softly. "It's probably not gonna happen for a while now... I've kinda got bigger things on my plate that need solving before I can even think to try and seek out a person to be involved with. Still....I won't lie and say that I don't actively want to be. Every girl does." She admitted. "I'm sure Momma did too in that time but...maybe she just didn't get to it in time. Being a hero isn't a small task. I should know." She continued, nodding her head. "Romance just wasn't a major goal. I can understand that and relate to that too." She gave a soft smile at the thought of her mother, in a time long before her own, had faced similar struggles. It gave the peach haired beauty a deeper understanding, and profound amount of respect for her mother. However, she wasn't so certain she wanted a man just like her father to one day fall in love with. It was hard enough dealing with him and him alone, so why would she want to deal with someone similar?

She chose not to voice that part of her opinion however, and allowed her grandfather to continue. For a week straight, he trailed and saw first hand how her father...chose to romance her mother. She shuddered slightly at the thought of what he had to witness. "That couldn't have been very...nice to see." She mumbled. Hayate's ear twitched upon hearing the figure loom over him, prompting him to open his one uncovered eye and peer up at the man. Him and his master were still talking and since the looming figure wasn't doing much else, Hayate shook it off, huffing once more and snuggling further into the couch, curling up into a tighter ball. Anju's eyes stayed glued to her grandpa as he explained that there wasn't any harm in asking her father such a simple question. Her shoulders fell slightly, but she kept up a strong smile. "I mean....I. I know how he is, and I have heard some things that I sometimes wish I didn't have to. But...I'll ask when I can. I just want to be ready for whatever answers do await me when I do. I'm an adult yes, but....it feels weird to delve into that when I haven't really had much chance to do it when I was younger."

Her smile brightened as the conversation shifted away from the activities of her parents, and the potential she had for a love life and what it might be like. "Yeah...he worked hard for this place. Since the second we moved here, this place has flourished and thrived. It's become something far beyond just a city." She nodded. "Gotta admit, the people here are interesting too, and never a dull day to be seen around here." She smiled, as her grandfather made the interesting point of explaining things a little further. She already knew she was one of her father's pride and joys in the world.

Even when he worked her too hard, she knew it was for the betterment of herself as a person and especially so as a fighter. But while she noticed that yes, her mother had a certain sway of her father, she didn't view it as a truly powerful thing. Her innocent gaze settled on him as he did explain it. Her father's dominance was one thing, raw, powerful and not something to be on the receiving end of. But it was nothing without the submission from her mother. One simple glance, one phrase, could mean life or death for people. And her mother was the one in charge of deciding that Fate when it came to her father. She blinked slowly as she came to terms with that. Unbeknownst to her, her present self had already received a similar talking to like this. Her mother had the World's Greatest Android Terror at her beck and call. And one day, she herself could have the glory of a powerful man crumble to his knees in weakness from one simple glance.

She managed to snap out of her thoughts when the topic of his armor came back around. "Well it's not that there's anything wrong with it." She said, tilting her head. "Just, it can't be comfortable to wear all the time right? And then you have to clean it, make sure everything is in it's place. I just thought maybe it'd be easier if you wore something like what I'm wearing." She said bluntly, as she tugged at the fabric she had on in the form of a tank top with ruffles lining the chest and the sleeves.

As she let it snap back into place, she grinned. "It's easier to clean and it's comfortable and sporty! And while I'm sure Grandma enjoyed seeing you in what you're wearing now, she too would welcome a change in wardrobe." She nodded once more. "The mall here in the city has the finest selection of fabrics and fashionable attire to choose from. It's where I bought this outfit in the first place." She mentioned as she stood up, posing to show off the range of movement that it had. "I could even fight in this outfit. Not that I'd want to really as it would be prone to tearing and such, but I mean, I could if I had to." She explained. She clapped her hands together as Hayate's head rose up curiously, his ears twitching. "Then it's settled. Let's head out to the Mall and pick out some as the kids these days say 'Sick Threads' for you !" She grinned, as she grabbed onto his wrist and began to lead him out. "Come on Hayate~!" She called out, as Hayate yawned, but soon trotted out, accompanying them.
