"You are smart to do so dearie. A heroine must be smart like your mother was. She did not fall in love because there were no men worthy of her. You must be the same way. Until you find someone worthy of you, I would stay clear of those potential suitors because as fathers, protectors, and owners of our property, we do not take kindly in other males stepping into our territory. It won't matter how angry you get with your father. For us, it is our duty to keep our lineage strong and away from those who may ruin it. Even I, might interfere in your affairs princess if I do not see that the suitor is worth of your ownership." he told her. Since he was in her life, he found it necessary to provide her extra protection. "I have lived many centuries and seen many things, but one thing remains constant. There is nothing more irritating than seeing another pair of lions getting near what is yours and as a woman I do not believe you'd understand. Your father does right to eliminate any who might threaten his dominance."he agreed with Gatz's methods. While he listened to Anju express her feelings about her parents' escapades and her fondness for her father as well as the empire he built, he grabbed his battle ax. He wrapped it around his arm, giving her the opportunity to get the lessons he taught her off her chest. There had been no doubt that the red headed exotic belonged to his family's lineage. Her youthful age did not stop her from understanding what wisdom he gave her. Being impressed, he rest his hand on her shoulder.![]() "You are wise beyond your years princess." he complimented and then the conversation shifted to the change in clothing. She wanted him to fit into the modern, human society. For a second time, he looked down at his armor and had found nothing wrong with it, but she told him that the clothing she'd find for him were sportier and more comfortable. "Your grandmother best preferred me without my armor as I did her and from what I have seen, the beauty in her has not faded in generations. On the contrary, your mother and you far exceed a man's wildest fantasies. " he responded with a calm tone, being unaware of how dirty it sounded. He acted natural as if it was a part of everyday conversation. "Is this mall a market of the finest merchants?" he questioned. "Very well then. Lead me to this place you call a mall." he instructed her and then followed her out of the apartment. WC: 472 TWC: 4,364 Edited by Paul Phoenix, Jun 14 2015, 09:34 PM.

![]() She nodded her head obediently. "I do try not to stick around the guys who are....overbearing so to speak. But this won't prevent me from making friends with guys right?" She tilted her head curiously, her worried gaze focusing in on him. After all this meant putting certain people at risk. Though she didn't have many male friends, or hell, many friends period, she didn't want this to mean that, should either her father or her grandfather now see her with them that they could immediately be exterminated. Her eyes softened again at the possibility that her grandfather even could interfere. "I'll attempt to keep anyone at arms length who I find unworthy. Although that might be easier said than done...." She vowed, nodding her head. Though this wasn't due to a lack of interest, it was much more complicated than that. No, rather, she was willing to forego romance for the sake of the individual's involved to be spared. At least if they were worth sparring to begin with. "Still all the same, I do appreciate you both being as protective as you are. Sure, I want to believe I'm...perspective enough not to find myself in a situation where I get hurt, but I understand I may not always see things with a clear set of eyes." She nodded, as her vision trailed him, watching him grab his battle axe. She blinked rapidly then, and hoped that he wasn't getting set to slaughter anyone else today. Was bad enough that the Pizza Boy, who Anju figured had not done anything wrong, had ended up on the chopping block. As far as the peach haired bubbly princess was concerned, no one else needed to die today. She smiled up at him as he placed his hand on her shoulder, nodding her head. "Thank you Papa." She grinned. ![]() She nodded her head. "Well see? I'm sure a fresh look will do you some good. I'm sure we can find you something that recreates this regal look you've got going, but in a modern way!" She grinned, and laughed off his comment about her beauty exceeding even the most X rated of fantasies of the male gaze. "I wouldn't know, really. Sure there's been guys who have....sought after me even when I was 16, but...lately they aren't biting. Heck most of the cadets back at base seem to hate that a woman like myself gets to boss their asses around." She explained, shrugging her shoulders. It certainly didn't bother her much. As she lead the way to the mall, she reached down and grabbed Hayate's leash to ensure she had at least some control. She nodded her head to his assumption on what exactly a mall is. "Basically. It's a large area devoted purely to the sale of luxury items. Although, there are also areas devoted to food, and entertainment. There's a food court with only the best cuisine, and an arcade, where video games can be played. I'll explain more when we get there." She giggled. 504 words 3222 Characters Running Total 5268 Words 30813 Characters |

"It is for your benefit that you do not hang around these mortals. Many have died for these humans. I have seen first hand how weak and cruel they can be. " he advised and followed behind Anju along the busied sidewalk of Gatz's empire. He trailed behind. His armor brought in attention from civilians who had not seen a man like him. His height did not help either. Standing at six foot five, he towered behind his granddaughter. His broadened shoulders and thick skin enhanced his intimidating stature. "We must protect what is ours dearie. Your request is not what we can abide by. It is your natural birth right to claim, conquer, protect, and kill those who oppose us and wish to do harm to our flesh and blood. Your father and me, as long as we live, you and your mother, will hate how we treat you, but you have no choice, but to accept that you and your motherare ours." he stated. Anju wanted to take him to a strange market called the mall for a set of modern clothes. His lip curled at the thought of him wearing tight, pink pants like one of the human males he killed because of it. "Does modernism require me to be a flower? This place of luxury must provide me more suitable clothing and not as tight as females would wear." he snarled at the thought. Then she commented her military duties. Her father allowed her to be in command of a unit. It ran in her blood to be a natural born leader. Smirking at her rank at a youthful age and how lower males hated her in charge, he remembered how often the humans centuries ago questioned his Queen's commands. He'd toss an ax down their throats to remind them who she belonged too. "It is because they cannot have you dearie. They unsuitable to mate with you. To have you, would feed their primordial desires for power. Even the lowest male, wants power and for a female to have what they don't, is a direct insult to their ego. Women are seen as submissive, gentler. They are secretly our better half, guide us, support us through the obstacles we must conquer and for anyone to go after your better half, that are innocent from the greedy pursuit of all males alike, is a sin no mortal with lions should commit and if they dare, they are obliterated. Many ignore this because greed is stronger than an unwritten code. So many want what your father has because they recognize how vital to your father your mother is and as they often tried to do to my queen and eventually succeeding. Even centuries later I feel a longing to be whole again. It is the reason your father never lets your mother out of his sights. They are our balance as nature intended them to be. Men are like fire and women are like wind. A feral fire cannot grow without the whispering wind. What your father and me have is no different than what the common straggler desires. Every beauty needs a beast, but every King needs a Queen. Remember this." he commented with experience. WC: 578 TWC: 4,954 Edited by Paul Phoenix, Jun 16 2015, 08:15 AM.

Anju blinked as she looked over her shoulder. Though she had only just been clued in to her true nature, she had never thought it to be a bad thing to involve herself with her people. At the very least, it gave her insight. On top of that however, a lot of the people she seemed to involve herself with were way beyond the average mortal to begin with. "Well....I can't really bond with the uhm....mortals? But I have bonded with those who you might consider lesser. " She commented, scratching at her cheek absentmindedly. "However, they are powerful mortals." She affirmed, nodding her head. "Much much more so than the cadets who enjoy trash talking me." She continued to briefly complain of the cadets she was often stuck with, problematic cases who needed a swift kick to the ass to be assured of who exactly was in charge. "Still, I promise I won't get myself into anything I can't handle on my own. Besides, I don't really fit in with the normal people." She said, her eyes softening, this time in sadness as she glanced across the street to some of the busied mortals wandering around. Her lips curled up slightly as her grandfather complained of the fashion sense of the males now a days. "Oh no no!" She said, inbetween laughter as she waved her hand. "No no Papa. I promise I would never do that! You need clothing that's loose enough to allow you to breathe after all. That's just the younger generation. Honestly, even I have no idea why some wear such tight fitting apparel... but, I manage well enough." She said, nodding as she continued on her merry way with a bounce in her step. As the conversation drifted to what she had complained about before, with the cadets being unruly and asshole-ish to her, she shook her head with a smile. "I find it funny to be honest. How easily a man's pride is hurt." She scoffed as she released his arm, trusting he would follow her as she stuffed her hands into her pockets, affirming that her wallet was present as Hayate lead her along as well, his nose glued to the concrete. "They see me standing at attention whenever my father is present, and the second I am able to breathe, they surround me. They shout. 'Hey Princess, how much time did you have to spend on your knees to get your position!' and other terrible, unnerving things." She pouted. "But that's usually when they manage to mysteriously end up in a position where the next time they see me, they end up cowering. I had to punch quite a few of them out and even throw a few of them before they got the message." She nodded. "So trust me, I already know that their drive to insult me is purely based on their ego's being wounded. As well as jealousy. If they would work as hard as I did, then and only then could they understand why I treat them like dirt half the time. Insulting me and assuming that my position was granted to me through degrading means is a direct insult to the time, effort, sweat, and blood I've shed to get where I am. And that, I will not take sitting down." She clenched her fist then, the one holding Hayate's leash, before relaxing. Her curious gaze, once it had softened after her continued complaints, turned to him after his comment about desiring to be whole again. Her eyes glimmered slightly. "Well...even after so long, I am sure....she would want you to move on. Not grieve for her forever you know?" She was talking of course about her grandmother. "Sometimes Papa, it's for the best. But you can always honor her memory. I'm sure of it. Momma is living proof of that too, and you will always have a little bit of Grandmama with you in her. And me too, although....not very much of her I'm sure." She smiled brightly. "But...that might be another goal for another time. Right now, I just want to be sure you're covered, clothing wise. And that you can effectively fit in before meeting Momma and seeing my dad again..." She pursed her lips slightly, wondering how well this plan would work. "This won't be a easy task, but I just want to be with my family just as badly as you do. So, I want to make this work. Even still, I'm sure it'll all work out!" She nodded once more, as her smile brightened. Her mind of course was stuck on the final thing he said. About how every Beauty needed a beast. And every King, his Queen. {Well....I mean....I already kinda knew that but....it's not time for that for me yet.} She thought calmly to herself, as they advanced towards the Mall. Upon finally entering the mall, even with Hayate following along, Anju lead the two straight towards the clothing stores. A few of the Mall goers gave them odd looks, both because of the out of place man being dragged by a young lady, as well as the wolf she had with her, but otherwise, they dared not to approach the trio. The peachy haired princess was quick to find them a store worthy of entering as she glanced up at it. "This is where our search begins." She said, patting her grandfather on the shoulder before entering along with him and Hayate. 914 Words 5075 Characters Running Total 6182 Words 35888 Characters |

Anju reassured him that he would not have to wear tight clothing unsuitable for a man. She expressed her opinion about a male pride. "Only weak males get their pride hurt so easily." he reassured her. She told him about her mortal friends and that they were stronger than the regular humans on the planet. This remained to be seen . Since she seemed fond of her friends, he refrained from commenting. If he saw one of them unworthy, he would not hesitate to behead them with his ax. She had the heart of her mother and for that reason he with held his wicked thoughts away from her innocent mind. Her reasoning for the male pride being weak had been because of her experiences with them. "I will need to have a word with these unruly inferiors. A princess of your magnitude must be respected or they shall perish." the Demon King referred to the cadets as inferiors because Anju explained to him the filth they said to her. "That is why it is better to end their puny lives. They will not be missed." he encouraged her. "You have your father's instincts. When someone challenges you, it is best to destroy them so that others fear you. It is better to be feared than loved and that is why you need a Prince by your side one day." In his timeline, to question royalty had been a straight death sentence. He had no idea how many centuries had gone by, but he did not like how the modern world changed. He followed behind his granddaughter and the wolf. His tall, armored presence caught the eyes of passing civilians. He paid no attention to their looks, but instead observed the surroundings. There were markets everywhere with different specialties in what they sold. "I remember when your grandmother stood by my side, fought by my side to free these mortals from enslavement. I remember every line, every curve of her. I remember the sounds she made during our mating rituals and how she smelled like a flower garden. Anyone who opposed her I'd end their existence. There is no mortal on this planet like your grandmother. Your grandmother will be mine for all eternity." he expressed and refrained from talking about romance further. "There will never be another woman like my Megami. She lives in you as she does your mother. Your mother has her beauty as you do, but her heart, body, and soul were mine." Though he obsessed about Megami, he did not openly admit his feelings because a man expressed them with actions rather than words. He stayed silent when Anju tried to console him of his loss. The mortals of the planet were the reason for her grandmother's demise. With loathing in his heart, he glanced around the mall for his next victim, but before he killed anyone, they reached their destination. He saw an eyeless doll, wearing clothing like a human. He thought it was a danger. "Begone heathen!" he stepped in front of Anju protectively and tossed his ax through the front glass window. It sliced the manican cleanly in two, forcing those around him to shriek in terror. When the doll was slice in two, he grabbed his battle ax. "You are safe princess." he replied honorably. She nodded her head then as her grandfather only affirmed what she had said about the lowly cadets. "It's a shame really." She said as she crossed her arms across her chest. "That they could be the hope of humanity's future, yet get oh so caught up in their pride. Dismissing their superior as nothing more than a commonplace whore. Just because I'm attractive. And choose to show it. I may never understand mortal men long enough to want to mingle with them at this rate." She sighed, tilting her head a bit. She shook her head a bit at his suggestion to just end their worthless lives then. "The problem is, some are actually worth dealing with the back talk for. Otherwise trust me, I wouldn't hesitate to rip them limb from sorry limb. Plus..." She groaned "Sometimes maybe I just like the charity cases. Gives me something to work towards. Like an after school special or something, lowlife cadet gets stuck training under a hard ass general, and he eventually learns the true meaning of hard work or something lame like that. Either way, I guess I just try and buckle down because if I just deal with them, and get them to the point where they can fight decently and are praised, I'll look even better in the eyes of my father. Course in turn, the cadets I trained will potentially react one of two ways: One: They actually manage to respect me once they see their General now praises them.... or.... Two: They still hate me deep down, because now their success is through me." She mused, shrugging her shoulders casually, as if the thought didn't trouble her nearly as much as it seemed. Her eyes softened then, as she listened to her grandfather explain more about her grandmother. From the sounds of it, there simply was no moving on for him. In a way, him and her father were not so different. However, the major difference so far was that her grandfather wasn't out slaughtering innocent individuals within her presence. Minus the pizza boy of course, but that was before she knew he was her grandfather, so she didn't count it. Instead, her gaze fell on a Mannequin that happened to be wearing a very pretty dress. "I know. It's the same for dad. No one could ever replace Mom. I've already lived in a time when Mom was absent, so I know first hand just how badly things would get. It's why I'm here." She explained, keeping her hands in her pockets. She was just about to explain the part about how she got there, when her grandfather stepped in front of her line of vision, making her thoughts vanish. Just as she was about to yell for him to stop, she winced as he tossed his ax, and prayed it wasn't through someone's face. She opened her eyes then as he went to retrieve his ax, and that was when she saw what he had targeted. Truth be told, it made her chuckle a bit, relieved. But it also hurt to see such a pretty dress go to waste. It was made no better when Hayate got in on the action, attacking one half of the mannequin, his jaws locked onto one of the arms, before pulling the arm out, and happily trotting over to her. She could only smile before she burst out laughing at what had happened. "Oh goodness....Grandpa!" She said, before grabbing the new toy Hayate had grabbed, which prompted him to jump up, trying to snatch it back. "Grandpa....that wasn't anything dangerous." She explained in between bursts of joyous giggles. "It's a mannequin!" She explained, as she tossed the arm out of the place, watching as Hayate chased it, and brought it right back, attempting to tear it to shreds. "It's meant to stand there and model clothing. It isn't real. Horror movies will tell you otherwise of course, but in truth, they are there so none of the mortals you see around you right now have to stand there all day to model the outfits they wear. But...thankyou anyway?" She shook her head before grabbing his wrist again, whistling for Hayate to follow them. "Come on, let's get to the fun part." She grinned. 717 Words 4026 Characters Running Total 6899 Words 39914 Characters |

The demon grandfather strapped his battled ax to his back and took in his handy work. He smirked at the fallen victim. "This fiend was foolish to act as a human." he retorted with his arms folded across his chest arrogantly. The wolf took a bite out of the arm and dragged it across the floor."Mannequin?" he questioned his granddaughter's statement. In his world, there were no dolls or strange items that modeled clothing. He tapped one of the hollow pieces. He also noticed the lack of blood on the floor and realized the red headed princess' observation about the doll had been accurate. He shook his head in disapproval."I shall never understand the strangeness of this new world or its mortals." the evil king left the mannequin alone and followed Anju inside the store. His thoughts went to what Anju talked about earlier before he destroyed the strange doll. She mentioned how in her timeline her father lost his mind. What did that mean? He had no concept of time travel because in his time there were no means for it. "You said that in your timeline that your mother had been absent. Are you not from this world dearie?" he asked because he had to get a better understanding of what she meant. He followed Anju. His heavy armor clanked against the waxed floor, his broad shoulders towered over most humans, and his ax rattled against his spine. When they entered into the store, the civilians had bugged eyed expressions because they witnessed what he did to the mannequin outside. He ignored them and paid closer attention to his granddaughter. ![]() The manager, noticing what happened to the front end of his store and the beautiful dress on display, approached the armored man, ignoring the girl next to him. "Hey, pal are you going to pay for the damages? You shredded up my best dress! " he poked his finger into the man's chest to get his attention. "Who the hell wears armor to a store anyway. This ain't the ghettos or the convention ya weirdo. " he insulted. ![]() Bull King stopped in the middle of the store and heard a buzz. He glanced down at the mortal, appearing upset about a dress. The human challenged and provoked the demon king. Looking down at the man's finger on his chest, grasped the man by the throat, lifted him off the floor with one hand, and raised him above his head. The manager's legs kicked while he gasped for air. "How dare you interrupt the princess with your idle threats peasantt. Apologize, foolish mortal or I will send you to the next dimension." he declared. His tone commanded authority. Anju nodded her head once. "Yup, a Mannequin. They were designed for one purpose and one purpose only. To stand still, and model clothing. They are all pretty much one body type only though, which is why the dressing rooms exist. At least I think that's why....it's just easier to try on clothing to make sure it fits as opposed to assuming it'll fit based on how much alike you and a mannequin look." She grinned a bit as she watched Hayate continue to play with his new toy, before glancing around to find the mens section. She could only hope no one had alerted the manager, or worse yet, the Mall Security yet so that they could continue to shop in peace. She whistled for Hayate to follow along, as he came running back, with the arm of the evil mannequin still in his grip, his tail wagging as the three continued to venture into the shop. She blinked and turned her attention back to her grandfather when he asked if she was not from this timeline. She nodded simply. "Yup. Although it wasn't nearly as big of a cultural shock for me as it is for you I imagine. There's a reason why I'm here today in this time, and that is because the long and short of it is a bunch of no good assholes took my mother away from my father and I when I was only a baby. I spent sixteen years without her, before storming their base in the future, and along with my father and some friends, took her back by force. The two are perfectly happy now but....unfortunately that group that took her in the first place? They exist here too, and I will not let such events repeat themselves." Unfortunately the rag tag trio did not escape the manager for long, as he stormed over to them both, poking her mighty grandfather in the chest and shouting at him. Anju immediately tried to defuse the situation, as Hayate began to growl at the stranger. "I-I'm sorry Sir, it's just my grandfather is a little you know....uhm...w-what's the word." She mumbled, hastily pulling out her card. "Look, I'll pay for the damages sir if you could just calm down--" But things only escalated before the peachy princess could do anything about it, as her grandfather lifted the man up by his throat. With a sigh, she put her wallet right back into her pocket. "Grandpa! It's alright, this guy wouldn't be able to hurt me. Put him down please?" She pleaded, as Hayate began to get more agitated by the scene before him, his tail beginning to bristle and stand on end. 451 Words 2437 Characters Running Total 7350 Words 42351 Characters Edited by Anju, Jun 23 2015, 10:09 PM.

People surrounded the scene when they noticed the large man in armor lift the helpless owner of the store off the floor. They were both amazed and terrified of the man's unusual appearance. His strength had been no joke either. "Come on man put me down!" the manager croaked while his feet flailed and kicked to break free from the vice grip. While he struggled in the ancient man's grasp, he heard a red head girl's voice. He glanced at her. The crazed psychopath. who lifted him off the floor by his neck, happened to be the girl's grandfather. She talked sense to him. She to defuse the situation before he got killed. "No payment necessary." he agreed to not be a hard ass as long as he did not get killed for it. His life meant more to him than the mannequin. Bull King listened to Anju's words. She relaxed him. Hearing her words, he dropped the manager who landed on his backside with a loud thud. He turned to his granddaughter. "You are fortunate my granddaughter sees you worthy of living. It appears Anju that this human learned his lesson and has agreed to not take your payment in exchange for his life. Wise man. Next time he challenges me I will not be so kind." he voiced out loud and then he walked past Anju. His cape trailed behind him with authority. ![]() Upon releasing the manager, his attention returned to what Anju spoke of earlier about how she came from the future. The dark future alarmed him because what he knew about Gatz and his daughter became reality. There were dangerous people after his daughter and once they took her, her husband turned into a demented, heartless destroyer. Gatz no longer had the conscience that kept him from blindly killing, and the King of Gatz's Haven abandoned his daughter as a result. He understood Gatz's reasons. Gatz failed to protect his Queen. He failed to do his duty as the protector and provider. What use would he be to his daughter? The Demon King understood it, yet would not have done the same to his daughter. The main difference between Bull King and Gatz was that the Demon King utilized his daughter's presence as fuel. He used it for his cruel intentions. The evil king did not abandon his daughter , but instead used her as a reminder as to why he should continue killing the traitorous humans and kai alike. For many nights, he recalled his daughter cry and plead for him to stop the senseless killings. Unfortunately, for his daughter, he could not stop. Fortunately, for Anju, she saved her timeline with brave heroics, but he pictured the long years his granddaughter suffered because of what needed to be stopped in the first place. His eyes burned black when he heard that there were men after his daughter again. "For as long I shall live, that will not happen in this timeline. I will protect you and my daughter with my life. I would rather die than live another countless centuries without my daughter or my granddaughter." he voiced with sincerity. The rugged king grew wiser throughout the centuries. After the elder kai placed him in an eternal, cursed sleep, he dreamed of redemption and all the things he did not get to say to his daughter when he had the chance. He no longer kept soft emotions hidden like the more youthful Gatz did. Bull King changed topics when he noticed stares from lesser females."Are you certain that I require new garments? It appears that the lesser, female humans admire my armor and desire to carry my offspring. I smell several in heat and ready to mate." he commented casually. A group of teenage friends giggled and waved at him when he looked at them. ![]() WC: 678 TWC: 6,722 Edited by Paul Phoenix, Jun 24 2015, 09:07 AM.
