This is an example on the application and initiation process for Androids and other Artificial Creations looking to train with Gero's Super Computer. It will be designed and played as a mini-quest that is different for every applicant depending on character choices, history and what organization they are involved in.

Android G walked through the frozen tundra of the Northern Mountains continuing his search for Gero. Ever since he had travelled to this dimension Android G had a difficulty adjusting to its people and histories. The Bulma of this universe, despite being vastly intellectual and financially successful, did not seem to be invested in protecting humanity as her other dimension counterpart Android G was familiar with. Despite having Bulma fill in the blanks for him, even though he searched the world for answers, it just didn’t feel the same as being back in the lab.

There wasn’t a global common goal for the world to work towards here. The whole planet was divided with factions and organizations that fought each other. Android G did not feel anchored to real purpose other than seeking a way home and bringing peace to his world. He always felt like he was working towards some greater purpose with each project. Perhaps that was a personality trait he had inherited from his “father”, Professor Gero. If Android G could find this world’s version of him, Doctor Gero, perhaps it could fill in the void the android was experiencing.

Pressing forward through the thick snow, Android G noticed he was entering the same area that he fought Mr. Yield of the Black Bow Army. After a certain distance, he remembered that Yield had been attacked by some kind of defense system. The time lost android was not sure if the same would happen to him.

As you continue to pass through the Northern Mountains, your interior detection devices pick up a strong signal that envelops your body. Warning systems notify you that your body was just scanned by an outside source. After a few moments, a small red light begins to emit in the distance for a few brief seconds before fading away. It was hard for you not to notice the crimson illuminance in the vast world of cold blues and whites you are surrounded in.

Choose your next course of action:
1.Prepare yourself for combat.
2.Continue to press forward into the mountain range, ignoring the signal.
3.Investigate the red light and the strange signal.
4.Change your mind and leave.

3. Investigate the red light and the strange signal.

Android G felt a strange disturbance overtake him. It was as if a wave of energy passed through him. Was it background radiation from combats past gone on this frozen battlefield? Was it another Black Bow trap created by Mr. Yield to capture and detain Android G? Or was the sensation perhaps an echo of aftershock from traveling through time? The android stood still for a moment as he took caution. He looked around his surroundings to find any sign of the disturbance’s source.

Off in the far reaches of the Northern Mountains, Android G spotted a quick burst of red light. Afterward, his long range scanners picked up an interesting coded response. He began to quickly decipher it using his many old Red Ribbon and Capsule Corporation code keys he had locked away in his background data. After a few brief moments, his inner programming discovered that it was an incoming Red Ribbon signal from the location of the crimson light. That apparently someone from a local Red Ribbon base had sighted Android G’s approach and signaled him to proceed to a rendezvous point.

The time shifted android felt reprieve. Finally, after searching through the cold and harsh Northern Mountain range, Android G had discovered some sign of the Red Ribbon Army. He excitedly sped forth picking up pace to hurry to the location. He decided that running was too slow for his overanxious attitude and took flight.

After soaring through the air, Android G landed at the proper global positioning coordinates he had received. He looked around to find some sort of sign of life. There was no one to be seen or heard. The summit of these lifeless mountains was soundless. Who had created the signal for him to follow? After finding no sign of Gero or the Red Ribbon, had Android G’s somehow hallucinate something for him to grab on to. It couldn’t be true, could it? The robotic man slowly became crestfallen at the situation.

It wasn’t until he noticed a shimmer on the mountain wall that his hope and curiosity renewed. Android G slowly walked up to the wall. This surface, despite looking like ice covered rock, under further inspection seemed to be made out of a different type of material. Cautiously, the android placed his bare hand onto the surface hesitantly touching the cold and smooth wall.

The computer continued to analyze the android during his fast approach. The man looked strange yet so similar to the computer’s recognition programs. He bore an odd resemblance to Gero even down to the type of garb the Doctor would wear on missions. But his signals were slightly off that what the computer could remember. Not only was the coding different but the appearance was off about this android as well. Doctor Gero for the sake subconscious sanity, decided to keep his same physical appearance as his human self before his transition into artificial life. But this android was not younger by a few years but by decades.

There were too many similarities to ignore yet too many differences that it was impossible to not be curious about the strange android. Gero’s Super Computer continued to monitor the unknown android as he entered one of the various summits of the Northern Mountains. After arriving at the chosen location, the unknown android desperately searched the area.

It wasn’t until the android placed his hand on the wall that the computer knew something was special about this android. As Android G coasted his fingertips along the surface, Gero’s Super Computer was able to scan and analyze the android’s hand. There was no doubt about it. The very fingertips of this stranger carried identical fingerprints to the Super Computer’s creator and master, Doctor Gero. Had the cybernetic expert fashioned himself a new body? It was true that Gero had been missing for quite some time from the laboratory. Gero’s Super Computer wanted more answers. It wanted to fill in the void of information of what this anomaly was.

The icy surface that Android G’s hand was on began to emit various lights from its surface. The ice and snow that had been frozen to it quickly melted against the photon energy emissions emanating from the wall. Soon after, the wall revealed itself as an advanced security metal door. The Super Computer began to unseal the large door and it began to slide upward revealing a dark corridor inside.

Choose your action:
1. Enter the corridor.
2. Prepare yourself for battle.
3. Fire an energy blast down the tunnel.
4. Leave.

1. Enter the corridor.

Android G was surprised by a loud noise. He just simply touched the wall and it began to shutter and move. The ice that coated the metal door frame began to crack and chip off of its surface. The ground rumbled with frustration. This door had not seemed to have been open for quite some time. The frost build up made it difficult for the smooth opening it was designed to have.

When the door had finished opening, a wave of internal heat emitted from its interior. Apparently whatever or whoever was inside was kept in an environment of a comfortable level much different from the freezing cold world that surrounded this secret area. A dark path lay open before Android G. He took a step of curiosity as the android tried his best to inspect the interior. But the only way to find out what the secret to this hidden base would be to enter into the dark abyss. Android G began to walk forward carefully.

After taking a few steps inside, the large metal door began to close behind him. The android thought perhaps it may have been some kind of trap finally closing shut on him. G discarded the thought and stuck with his decision. For whatever reason he was invited into this strange secret, he would get to the bottom of it. Soon after the corridor closed lights began to turn on illuminating the pathway ahead of Android G. With proper lighting, the time shifted android could see that this was some kind of military or scientific base. The technology that lined the walls looked similar to the Red Capsule Corporation designs he had seen on his world. Perhaps Red Ribbon technology of this world wasn’t too far different than its other time counterpart. Android G felt reassured about his safety as he continued to explore.

As the android passed through the long corridor, a dark space ahead began to light up. Before Android G was a vast room that started to become alive with vivid sounds and lights. Computer terminals hummed as they activated. Beeps and boops from various consoles measuring vast quantities of data from around he globe. The floor was covered in thick cords and cables funneling electricity and power to the entire room. It was almost as if the floor Android G traveled on had metallic and synthetic veins pumping life into everything.

In the center of the room stood a large cylinder-shaped computer that towered over everything else in the lab. It was glowing with almost a random array of colorful lights. It was as if a illuminating Christmas tree that overpowered everything else in the room for attention. Android G wasn't sure if he was really prepared for what happened next.

A voice beckoned from the large computer itself, "You are a strange one, that is for certain. You show signs of being a Red Ribbon android but completely not at the same time. You are an impressive model that is for sure. But despite all of your similarities, you are just as different. An anomaly in my data. I am intrigued to know why. Now... Identify yourself, android."

Choose your action:
1. Ignore the question.
2. Lie (Perform a chance roll. If over 5 your lie is successful.)
3. Tell the truth.
4. Leave
5. Attack the computer (Perform a chance roll. If over 6 your attack is successful.)

1.Tell the Truth

The computer speaking startled Android G. He couldn't help but recognize the sound of it. The voice that radiated sounded eerily alike Gero's. He wasn't sure what to think about it. Did Dr. Gero create a computer that had his voice? Had Android G been seeking Gero for so long that anyone would sound like him from the sheer anticipation the android had been creating for himself. Or in this world had the great Gero transformed himself into a computer?

It was oddly comforting though. Android G had not heard Gero’s voice in years. Hearing it gave him a sense of trust. Android G walked towards the large machine. The android reached out his hand towards the computer with an open palm facing it.

“I would just tell you,” Android G said, “but us artificial beings have a much better way of communicating. Couldn’t you agree?”

The computer made quiet beeps as if it was contemplating his statement. After a few moments, an access port opened on the front of Gero’s Super Computer. A small computer screen jutted forward quietly locking into place before the time warped robotic man. Android G leaned forward and placed his hand on the vacant black screen. As soon as the android touched the glass screen it lit up with a vibrant blue glow.

What the Super Computer and Android G initiated was a tactile file transfer. It was the act of exchanging information simply by touching two electronic devices allowing them to sync together. It was simple for a small device like a phone or a portable computer. But for two sophisticated and advanced artificial intelligence? The act is like a symphony of conversation that played near light speeds. Zeroes and ones meant little to nothing to the flesh-bound races. But for them, they could have a hundred dialogs within a beat of a human heart.

Android G was able to bring Gero’s Super Computer up to speed on his situation, complete with visual data and memories. It allowed Android G to tell many illuminating events such as his creation at the hands of Professor Gero assisted by General Briefs. Or the struggles the human race had against the Saiyan threat and the androids’ purpose, not to kill, but to protect mankind.

The tales did not stop with the pains and anguishes of his home world and time. He also communicated the new things he had learned and the people he had met during his time on this variation of Earth. His experience of being feared by the people instead of loved. Or his random chance encounter with Bulma Briefs and learning the harsh truths of his time travel. The truth that the experiment failed, that he had traveled sideways though time instead of backward to help Piccolo fight and live against the Saiyans. Also the android portrayed his encounter with Mr. Yield and the Black Bow, his organization, wanting to find some kind of kai person.

And lastly, before his search for Gero, meeting the one man named Goku. The Super Computer reacted to that fact. Living creatures would miss it. It was a reaction that lasted smaller than a microsecond. Android G could read a small surge of surprise ripple from the Super Computer. Android G would learn why soon.

The connection didn’t run in just one direction. It was a two-way street, a duet or a digital cooperation. The Super Computer filled in any missing blanks in the android’s mind of missing history and information. He could see the history of battle between Goku and the Red Ribbon, the invasion and the defeat of the Saiyans, and every major world event since then. He understood and did not condone the hate against Goku. It was too similar to his own avenging nature against the Saiyans. Android G couldn’t help but thing that was Gero and his family of androids forever doomed to fight the Saiyans no matter what reality they lived in? Despite the hurricane of information, Android G would not know the real answer. Even Gero’s Super Computer did not know where Gero was on this planet or if he was even still on Earth.

Android G released his hand from the panel. He could hear the Super Computer in shock, “You! You can’t be. That would mean---“

“That we are the same,” Android G finished his sentence. “You and I are two variations of the same creation. We are both copies of our father, Gero, made in his likeness. The only difference between us is the form each Gero chose to build us in. Built to carry whatever hopes and dreams he had for the Earth, no matter which one. And I am trying to save my world, Computer.” Android G continued to speak his truth to the artificial intelligence.

And then the android finally asked, “Is there any way you can help me?”

Gero’s Super Computer sat in silence for a moment. “Processing,” the computer yelled out loud.

“I have scanned through your Earth’s histories that you had shared with me,” the Computer spoke as he was sharing his insight. “I had noticed one critical difference between your time and mine.”

“What is that, brother?” Android G asked.

The computer responded. “In our universe, the Namekian named Piccolo is still alive.”

Android G barely had to review over the information. He was already thinking the same thing as his dimensional other.

“If Piccolo is still alive in this universe, that would mean---“ Android G spoke.

The Super Computer interrupted, “Affirmative. It would be correct to assume that there is hope for your world….”
