A radio played ominously. The unintelligible chatter of the piece of equipment only added to the sorrow in the atmosphere. The chatter now mingled in with the hysterical cries of a small boy. They were going to sleep with him that night to keep him safe. They being the mangled bodies now sprawled carelessly on the carpeted floor. He was standing at the foot of the large bed. Some young and wicked figure wailing and bawling to no end. The boy's mother and father's blood soaked into the green carpet he was standing on. The dark and thick liquid blood turning the carpet into a sickening red as it slowly dried the longer the bodies were left unattended. The room itself was in ruins. The once safe and beautiful place that housed happy memories was now littered with broken and blood spattered objects. The people no things that were responsible for the tragedy were of a species he had never once in his short life of five years seen before. It was as if they had manifested straight from his nightmares and existed for the sole purpose of tormenting him. They were savage beasts with no regrets to ending life. It seemed that their one and only purpose was to kill. A n anthropomorphic creature with a horrible stench to it's mangy skin. There had been two creatures smaller in size but similar in appearance that came crashing through the small house using their claws to rip apart walls and furniture in their rampage. The sounds of the carnage and guttural sounds the beasts emitted caused the boys parents to leap into action and move outside of the room to investigate. Their terrified screams were soon heard as they discovered what awaited them in what had been their living room. This caused them to come running back into the room whereupon they began barricading the door with whatever was in reach including their own bodies. “Hide, Please!” His mother begged him with every inch of her maternal instinct concentrating on the safety of her child. He didn't hide. He ran to the safest place he had ever known to help in situations when he was afraid. He leaped onto the bed and quickly covered himself in the blankets that had always offered him protection in the past. The door flew off it's hinges causing a loud banging noise to echo throughout the house. Fragments of splintered wood flew every which way as the only thing protecting the family from certain death was shredded. The mother and father jumped backwards cowering before the foot of their bed to protect their child. Before them stood the tall and frightening with every sense of the word. The beast began drooling from it's horrifying jaws leaving it's dark red saliva in a thin trail behind it. It's skin The smallest of the trio stepped inside behind the leader and began sniffing the air. It proceeded to sprint back the way it had come letting out a series of sharp barking noises. The boy still hiding underneath the blankets began thrashing and kicking in a fit of far while keeping the blankets above him. The beast let out a low grumbling sound and red saliva dripped onto the couple's clothes. The mother turned her back to the creature as she realized her fate. She then heard her husband cry out in pain. In only a second a gash had opened along the man's face tearing his eye out in the process. He doubled over with his hands over his face. In an instant the two creates descended upon the husband and wife. Tearing biting and ripping until their sadistic instincts had been sufficiently satisfied. All fell silent then and the small boy slowly poked his head out from underneath the blankets. The creatures stared directly at him. Massive gaping jaws dripping with blood. Cries of terror became stuck in his throat as one of the creatures neared him. He backed away and pressed himself to the wall and curled up. The creature slowly reached a hand out to grab at the boys ankle. In a second there came a loud whistling sound as a ball of ki suddenly broke through the window and connected with the creature's head. The force of the attack caused the beast to let go of the boy and retreat away from the bed. It's companion followed suit and the two creatures made their way out of the room and back into the hall. Now here he stood. Crying hysterically over the deaths of his family. An elderly man stepped through the broken doorway leading into the ravaged house. He noted the destruction of the living room as he stepped down the hall following the path of destruction and the crying . The wails led him to a room in absolute destruction. His eyes looked over the area before focusing on the small child before him. The crying boy was loud which was nearly painfully obvious. The man stepped over towards the child and the crying only grew louder. “Mommy Daddy!” He wailed sorrowfully. As the stranger stepped around the deceased couple and reached out for the boy who began flailing his arms and screaming at the top of his lungs. “Get away!” He grumbled quietly and knelt down beside the boy. Upon actually seeing his face the boy calmed down slightly and gradually silenced himself. The boy reached his arms out and ran into the elder man clinging onto him helplessly. He blinked and looked down at himself being more than double the child's size he was a giant in comparison. The boy simply began breathing in a somewhat sporadic manner and he sighed once more. “I've got you. It's going to be alright.” The boy blinked away his tears and finally looked up at him. He stared for a moment then looked back to his parents. “Are they going to wake up?" The question so innocent and tragic caused the man to pause. He took in the words and slowly shook his head while wrapping his arms around the boy. The crying started again causing him to wince. The child was almost as loud as a car horn. The man let go of the child and made his way to the broken doorway and paused. He looked back at the boy who had returned his gaze to his parents. He obviously couldn't just leave him there to fend for himself so he simply whistled sharply and extended his hand to the child. The boy approached him slowly and took hold of the mans hand. Carefully the two stepped over the carnage that took place in the hall and made their way out of the house. Tien slowly sat up from his position on the ground. He clutched his head tightly as pain began to spread through his body. The mountain ranges before him were vast and high stretching as far as one could see in every direction. Most of the land was consisted of trees and forests lush and green in some areas and marshes humid and wet in others. Swamps and rotting wood mixed in with the scent of mold growing on every surface they could reach. There was a wide variety of flowers brightly colored adding a certain vibrancy to the atmosphere. The two environments clashed in a never ending struggle with one another. The climate was humid and warm and gave off the impression that little clothing should be worn when traversing the area unless absolutely required. The young tri clops let out a loud sigh and picked himself up from the ground. The young man huffed as he strolled through the quiet wilderness. He was aware of what he had to be done and he was eagerly awaiting to complete his task. As he approached the clearing where the encampment of bandits were currently located. The words from his master still fresh in his head repeated over and over again. "Don't surrender yourself. Failure is not an option for a crane student.” That's what it would take to redeem himself to his school. As the three eyed man stretched his arms the bandits who had been gathered in their clearing slowly began to notice him approaching. With a light fog settling itself in the area he was only visible after he was only a meters from the men. One of the men squinted his eyes and carefully approached Tien "You should get yourself out of here. Not exactly a-" Before the man could speak further Tien swung his fist forward into the man's face causing him to be sent into a tent resting nearby. Retracting his arm he lowered himself into a basic defensive position and scanned the remaining bandits with his eyes. Most of them now had various weapons drawn. His dark and focused eye didn't blink once before the real battle began. With a fury he launched himself at the nearest bandit putting him down with a few quick punches to his neck and thigh before smashing his elbow into the man's head. Tien didn't have time nor did he pause to check if his victim was unconscious or dead before he moved onto the next target laying him out with a kick before sending a fist into the man's face before it almost fell in on itself. He let out a small chuckle. He didn't want to kill if he could avoid it but he often lost himself in the heat of the moment. He raised himself upwards while a bandit sprinted in his direction. When he looked towards the man he smirked at how easy his new opponent would be. He simply side stepped out of the man's way though not as fast as he would have liked to. Tien's sleeve turned a dark red as the knife connected with his shoulder briefly. He let out a low growl despite the pain not affecting much apart from a stinging sensation. He had suffered far worse in the past. It was the fact that he was indeed injured that sent him into a fury. Tien reached out for the attacker's sword arm and with great ease bent it at the elbow in an unnatural angle. He then quickly retracted his hands from the injured man's arm and sent a swift kick aimed at the knife wielders stomach causing him to slump over. As Tien maneuvered skilfully through the growing group he reminded himself to keep his true goal in mind. Becoming stronger. He wasn't entirely sure how to reach this objective but after discussing it with many martial artists and listening to the advice of his elders he came to the one undeniable truth that granted many before him the power he so desperately craved. Take out as many people as he can and make sure he pushed himself to his absolute limits in the process. If he managed to do that there was a chance that he could reach the goal he had set for himself so many years ago. Not even for a brief moment would anything cause him to pause until he got what he was after even if death came with it. To Tien attaining power within himself meant risking everything in the process. The bandits that he attacked next fell limp within seconds of Tien smashing their heads against one another. He weaved through the encampment with a series of strikes and kicks laying out out any and everyone that tried their luck by getting close to him. Naturally he was the perfect fighter. Spending the previous five minutes of non stop engagements his uniform was thoroughly ruined. He now sported several minor wounds such as bruises although there was sure as hell nothing thrown at him that slowed him down. Tien continued on his bombardment of attacks his mind void of everything apart from the best way to engage his nest victim. The unlucky man that attempted to stop his onslaught aimed a punch at him. Tien simply slid to his right then proceeded to kick the man in his torso sending him flying away from him with a scream of pain. Tien now having an upper hand quickly descended onto his victim delivering a series of blows to his torso and head and sent him into unconsciousness with little effort on his part. While doing this another bandit to his left rushed his position. Tien deftly aimed a palm thrust into the man's chest causing two of his ribs to break underneath the force of the blow. The person received no leniency to even yell out as he was taken out by an left hook to the temple. The victim to his attack crumpled to the ground with a groan. Giving a brutal kick to his already broken ribs Tien smirked while staring down at his newest fallen foe. Tien stumbled forward a few steps and reached for his shoulder which was now beginning to cause him slight pain. As he took a glance at it he could see there was a blade protruding from it. With a roar of anger he turned his attention away from the injury while also pulling it out almost foolishly. He ran at the closest bandit to his position and plunged his fist into their gut. His blood was beginning to boil inside him. He tried to control his anger to some degree to keep from intentionally killing anyone. Terror showed on the man's face as Tien delivered a kick to his leg. He moved on from the injured person without even a concern for a possible broken limb his next opponent was already in his field of view. The foolish bandit was running directly towards him with a knife raised to attack. The martial artist hopped backwards as the man swung downwards with his full strength. Tien sent his fist into the fools gut causing him to double over while giving Tien the chance to grip his neck and jam his knee into his face at full force. While Tien weaved throughout the camp he could feel himself increasing his speed slightly along with the force of his blows. He hurled himself at a burly looking man and crushed his arm with a brutal stomp to the limb. He side stepped to his left though he unluckily didn't manage to avoid the knife flying through the air directly at him. He let out a quiet grunt as he gripped the handle to the knife and pulled it out of his skin. Tien charged at the man who had thrown it and smashed his foot into his chin with a kick causing the man's neck to snap upwards. He got behind the man and grabbed his arm and began to twist it fiercely making sure to cause as much pain as possible. While he was breaking the arm he observed the opponent he wanted to take on next. A man that was without a doubt in charge of the rest and actually possessed certain swagger that tempted Tien to attack him. Word Count: 1,264 Twc: 2,526 |

Releasing the man he had defeated Tien charged at the leader sending a kick aimed for the bandit's legs. The bandit however moved more quickly than he had anticipated and easily swerved around the attack and sent a crushing strike with his arm into his back. A groan of pain arose from the young man's mouth has he felt pain spreading through his body warning him to get off his legs. Gritting his teeth and focusing on the confrontation Tien would sure as hell make him suffer for that. He dodged underneath a right hook that could have potentially knocked his head off and delivered a strike with his finger tips to the bandit's neck. Taking advantage of the situation Tien reached out to grab his arm but was hit by a simple jab to his forehead. Taking a few steps back after the blow he was disoriented. It was coming to him that this man in particular clearly was not in the same tier as the other lackeys he had taken out in this specific encounter. Tien began working his mind quickly to come up with an idea on how to proceed. Naturally he didn't fear this opponent as he was certain he could easily defeat him. The thought of taking even more injuries however could put him in a tough position. Tien paused as he had a gut instinct the man was going to press his own attack next. The could dispatch this fool if he found a way to get past his defense easily. The bulky armor covering the man's torso cushioned his punched and kicks making it easier to wear himself out. It was this that caused Tien to begin pondering an idea. The exposed head and fingers were going to be the easiest targets to follow up on. That's how he needed to go about it. The following hook came at the exact moment Tien predicted and was followed quickly by a lunge with the second arm that Tien avoided with unmatched speed and agility. Wasting no time to think of where this burst of energy came from he took hold of his opponent's middle finger and proceeded to bend it backwards until it connected with the wrist. It was the older man's turn to let out a yell of pain and while he did so Tien snapped his index finger backwards as well with a smirk. The battle was beginning to even it self out although the pain from his back hadn't subside yet which caused him to worry. The bleeding wounds he received prior to that one were beginning to clot themselves and some felt as if they hadn't been open at all. There was a loud crack as fist collided with nose which caused it to snap sideways. A flash of steel out of the corner of his eye alerted him into dodging the knife the man had drawn. However the follow up kick that came with it put his back against a tree and knocked the air out of his lungs. The lack of oxygen in his body caused his vision to blur briefly but when he focused on his enemy's features there was obvious hints of fatigue setting in. Pushing him self upwards on his feet Tien stepped forward and swung with as much force as he could manage for the head. As expected such an obvious and telegraphed attack was blocked but what his opponent didn't catch was his foot swinging upwards and connecting with his groin. This was the inevitable payback for the almost unbearable pain in his back. A satisfied grin spread across Tien's face when the man roared in anger after his little stunt. Even if it was a cheap move it got results which was all he cared about. Despite not putting the large man on his back it did give Tien the chance to position himself behind him. With a strained grunt Tien coiled his arms around his waist and lifted upwards while leaning backwards literally suplexing the man. slamming his skull into the earth. Tien now had his battered opponent at a disadvantage. Rolling in pain on the ground gave him an opportune moment to strike with the finishing blow. Stepping over to his enemy in a somewhat disorganized manner he ignored the previously observing bandits surrounding them. Taking a glance at their angered faces he knew he would have to finish them first before he went at their leader with the finishing blow. Tien managed to just barely avoid an incoming punch that came at him. He focused his attention on the stupid idiot that had tried to stop him from ending his leader only to find that two more were with him ready to attack. He couldn't help but admire their unity. To him it was as if they had wised up on the proper way to handle the situation. Not that it would do them much good in the end. While he had preferred to not take on three of them at the same time he knew for a fact he was more than qualified for the task. As the first man came forward the second threw a punch at his jaw and the final bandit managed to get out of his line of sight. Almost as if he vanished somehow. Catching the punch before it landed he then dodged the attack of the first bandit and slammed his elbow into the nose of the second. Tien seemingly vanished and reappeared behind the man and delivered multiple strikes to his back gradually raising them up to his neck and sent him to the ground. There was just the third to worry about then. He turned his head and scanned the clearing for the man that he lost track of. As he turned in a circle he suddenly felt something jump onto his back and cling to him. Tien thrashed and bucked about furiously to throw the man off and watched as the second man caught his bearings while the first remained on the ground groaning quietly oblivious to the ongoing fight. Tien continued struggling to throw the man off him but felt as if he were trapped not even managing to gain an advantage while the second bandit picked up a discarded knife and lunged right at him. Before his enemy managed to stick him in his torso Tien twisted around on his feet just moments before for the blade could connect with him. The knife instead stabbed into the bandit on his back's spine. This caused him to quickly release his grip on the tri clops and go limp where he fell. Tien went in for the kill on the final bandit swiping with his left leg in the lead. When his leg struck Tien leaped upwards and slammed his right foot into the forehead of the now beaten opponent. The man fell to the ground with a quiet thud and bounced upwards just once before Tien slammed his fist into his torso cracking his ribs with a sickening crunch. Tien straightened himself upwards and sighed deeply while looking about the clearing. Tien groaned in annoyance then looked back to the two he had previously defeated. The first finally picked himself up and began making his way to Tien with gritted teeth. As the damaged man pathetically swung with what little strength he had left trying to compensate for his ass kicking. Needless to say the attack was sloppy and Tien simply struck the weak arm causing the bone at the elbow causing it to break skin and protrude from the other side. With another fast strike that surprised Tien he sent a punch into the man's chest causing him to spit up blood as he slowly slumped over sideways. With two dispatched Tien turned his attention the the third man still laying broken from his injury to his back. Turning to the last remaining bandit trying to roll onto his stomach the man stopped his pathetic flopping and began attempting to pull himself away from the martial artist with his arms dragging his body along the dirt. Tien found this to be pathetic he attacked him so wholeheartedly just moments ago and now he was going to pay the consequences. If he wasn't punished he'd simply attempt to pull that stunt with an opponent in the future. Following the man with a grim disposition Tien planted a foot on top of the man's back he slowly applied pressure and with a simple thrust downwards he stopped struggling as Tien smashed his head into the ground beneath him. With his final attacker now out of commission he could finally get around to taking out the leader but as Tien looked behind himself to get to the task the large bandit had somehow moved from where Tien had left him. With agitation Tien began to thoroughly search for him amongst the fallen enemies causing the few that remained to back away in fright of his strange actions. He let out a huff of anger then moved on to his next victim that was surprisingly enough yet another bandit. Tien didn't bother wasting too much time on this particular man. He lunged toward the man and kicked his enemy directly in the center of the face though Tien must have used more force than intended as his face was completely caved in with blood spilling down his chest. Tien glanced at his fist for a moment and pondered why his attacks were becoming stronger all of a sudden. Clutching his fists tightly he realized he was already improving his physical strength. Tien grinned at the obvious proof of improvement but did consider the off chance that the man perhaps just had a weak frame. There was lhardly any time to continue pondering the situation as he still had more enemies to dispatch. As if being called up his next target got into position in front of him near his fallen comrade. Naturally he was little more than a brief obstacle to Tien because with one well placed kick to the head with his leg the bandit was layed out with two of his ribs broken and gasping loudly for air. Once Again this came to Tien as strange because he usually needed to work his opponents down more before delivering as much damage as he just had. He began thinking more on the matter. As he did before he assumed it must have been the result of his training. As he thought he was startled by an explosion from a small grenade that had rolled near him. Tien was knocked backwards by the force of the explosion and heard a ringing in his ears that angered him. His uniform now burned to the point of being unrecognizable fluttered away from his body and his arm showed the result of being so close to the grenade. This sure as hell couldn't be the work of some simple bandit and as expected standing erect in front of him was an odd looking man dressed in strange leather armor. There were dog tags around his neck. Possibly a missing soldier from the king's guard. Of course Tien didn't care at all for the soldiers who decided to abandon the king's guard but he wanted to test his strength against a properly trained man who wouldn't care if he were injured. He swung for the man's head and easily made ontact or at least he thought he did for right at that moment as if made of water the man moved around the punch. Tien looked around himself in a somewhat panicked manner for the deserter. He could feet the soldier move right behind him moments before a blow with the chance to decapitate any regular foe was delivered aimed for his neck. Tien readjusted himself and brought his arm up to intercept the attack albeit painful this prevented him from perhaps a death blow. Tien sent a kick to the soldier's chest with a straight forward movement and though it did connect it resulted in little apart from sending him sliding backwards a foot or two. While he gathered a portion of his strength Tien prepared himself for a second strike as the ex soldier came right at him. As a fist glanced off of Tien's shoulder his fist crashed into the man's jaw causing his body and a few teeth to go in the direction the punch was traveling. Tien rolled his arm a few times to work out the pain that was spreading there. By now he was in piss poor condition but giving up now would only bring his death. He charged at the soldier who was recovering himself from the previous blow and tackled him against a thick tree trunk with as much force as he could muster. He proceeded to grab his opponent's head and smash it into the tree repeatedly but was sucker punched by a right hook to the temple falling sideways. As Tien rolled away from the tree and bounced up on his feet he grabbed for a knife that was left on the ground and proceeded to toss it at the man watching as t soared right past him and embedded itself into the tree. The enemy soldier descended upon him ruthlessly within a moment with his own blade this one being sharper and in far better condition than the pathetic one Tien had thrown. The knife was clearly intended to gut his stomach but a fast side step avoided such a fate. He wrapped his arms around the man from behind and once again leaned backwards and slammed his enemy's skull into the forest floor as he performed another suplex. This time he added more force than the one the leader had gotten and to make it better he landed on a jagged rock near them both. Although this didn't kill the opposing man it was sure as hell going to slow him down and at least leave a scar on his face which by now was oozing blood freely. Fatigue was starting to creep itself into Tien's body stopping him from pressing the assault. He was going to need to rest soon and as he looked down at his enemy they both came to the same conclusion. Tien stared down his opponent with a furious glare and he drew in deep breathes while remaining as completely still as possible. This was the easiest way he was going to conserve energy without leaving himself open for a possible sneak attack. Word Count: 2,436 Twc: 4,962 |
