When Chi-Chi had heard Gine say her husband's saiyan name, she couldn't help but get a shocked looked on her face. Chi-Chi quickly gathered her thoughts and then force herself to calm down. Chi-Chi couldn't believe that she was meeting her husband's mother. Chi-Chi looked at Gine and smiled slightly."To be honest Gine I have no when Goku or Kakarot as you call him will be coming back home cause he is off training somewhere. However, you and your son Raditz are more then welcome to stay here and wait for my husband to return." said Chi-Chi. After she got done talking Chi-Chi waited to see if Gine had anything else to say to or ask of her. Chi-Chi was now wondering if Gine was where Goku got his friendly nature from. Chi-Chi then couldn't help but wonder if she had made a good first impression on her mother-in-law. Chi-Chi sure did hope she made one. To be honest Chi-Chi was glad that her husband would be getting the chance to meet and get to know his mother and also the fact her that the rest of her family would to know her husband side family of the family tree. Gine couldn't help but giggle in amusement when she heard Raditz show irritation over how she referred to him as her baby boy. She could understand that her little Raditz might be a little irritated over being referred to in such a manner when he was not only an adult, but also quite a fair bit taller than her. She could imagine how, in that instance, it would be annoying to be called a baby boy. She didn't mind if Raditz was irritated by it, since he WAS an adult now, him not having seen her for as long as he has. "I'm sorry Raditz, I just got a bit emotional there. I just missed you so much that I got a little out of control there. You're most definitely not my baby boy anymore, but you're still clearly my son. I just haven't seen you in so long that my emotions got the better of me" she said to him with a smile on her face as she placed her hands on her hips and looked him up with a critical gaze, showing visible amazement over how much Raditz had grown since they had last seen each other. Raditz was still quite little when they had been forced to part due to circumstances in their past. When Raditz had asked her how there were more Saiyans around, since Planet Vegeta had been destroyed, Gine had blinked in confusion. She didn't know that Planet Vegeta had been destroyed, she just assumed that her home planet was still around. Then again, she had been dead for a long time, and the fate of her home planet wasn't known to her. She felt a sense of dread over the possibility of all she had come to know had been completely wiped out, but the fact that Raditz was dismissing Half-Saiyans was distressing. "I was referring to the Saiyans on this Planet, Raditz. We can start over and be a part of our family, after being so many years away from each other. I know that Half-Saiyans aren't highly regarded in our society, but if Planet Vegeta is truly gone, we need to adapt and accept. We still have our family, we have Kakarot, Bardock is somewhere out there, and Kakarot has started his own family here. We need to make a new life here with our family" she explai9ned to him, trying to take charge of the situation. When Chi-Chi spoke up to her, Gine turned back to the Earthling woman, and she brightened up considerably when she heard that Kakarot had married the Earthling woman. Clapping her hands in excitement, even though she was told that Kakarot was off training and Chi-Chi didn't know when he would be back, Gine proceeded to squeal a bit and hug Chi-Chi, making sure not to use too much strength in case she might wind up hurting the woman, before letting her go and looking at her with a pleased smile on her face. She was just so glad that her little Kakarot found himself a nice wife. "Really, you're Kakarot's wife?! I'm glad to hear that my little Kakarot found himself a nice, homely woman to be his wife. You should have seen him when was little, he was a miniature copy of his father Bardock, wearing a nice little copy of his father's Saiyan outfit. If Kakarot settled down her, it's clear he got my personality, which makes me so happy. I thank you for loving my Kakarot, Chi-Chi, I don't know how I can ever repay you" she said excitedly to Chi-Chi, bowing to her in thanks. ________ WC: 600 TWC: 2,329 |

Raditz simply shrugged off her apology without thinking too much of it. He couldn't exactly blame her for having such an emotional reaction but he would not tolerate being made a fool of. "Kakarot has his little family and that's his business. I've made this long without our wonderful family and I don't need it now. I didn't come here for his half breeds I came here for Kakarot. Whatever you decide to do when I am done here is none of my business." As he spoke he moved towards the small table and carelessly sat on it. "I want nothing to do with this little fantasy world you are living in." As he spoke Raditz looked towards Chi-chi and raised a hand to snap at her. "Kakarot's woman. Fetch me something to drink." He demanded a drink from his brother's wife since she had asked him if he would like anything earlier. "If he were going after human women he could have certainly done better for himself." He spoke while raising a hand to brush through his large mane of hair. By now he was used to the slight crick in his neck from all the hair constantly tugging on his head. Word Count: 207 Twc: 737 |

Chi-Chi was slightly caught off guard when Gine hugged her. Chi-Chi also couldn't help the slight blush that came to face when Gine bowed to her and thanked her for caring about her son. Chi-Chi herself bowed back to Gine. While she was bowing Chi-Chi forced herself to stop blushing however she couldn't help but feel really happy that Gine seem to like."Thank you for having such a loving and kind son. It's a honor to finally be able to get to meet you. "said Chi-Chi. After a bit Chi-Chi stopped bowing to Gine. It wasn't to long after that she had heard Raditz speak up. Chi-Chi bit the inside of her cheek in order to keep her self from saying something back to Raditz about how rude he was being. Instead what Chi-Chi decided to do was to be kind and get Raditz a glass of water. Once she had the glass of water in hand she then went place it onto the dining table near Raditz."If you will be needing anything else please do let me know."said Chi-Chi. Chi-Chi then moved her attention back to Gine. "Gine, if you would like I could bring out the family photo albums so you the photos of the rest of mine and Goku's family. said Chi-Chi. Gine looked at her little Raditz with a sad frown on her face, disappointed that her happy little boy had been replaced with a cold, detached, Saiyan Warrior. One shouldn't have to go without the presence of their family around to help them and guide them, and it hurt her to know that Raditz didn't need, or have any interest in, his family anymore. She only hoped that her baby boy could be convinced to give her the chance to be back into his life once more, so she could maybe soften the hard edges that had taken over him during his years with Frieza. "I'm disappointed in you, Raditz. Just because Kakarot's children are not pureblooded Saiyans does not mean that they're inferior to us. They're family, regardless of species or blood status, and that should always be more important than anything else. I didn't take my happy little boy with the spiky mane of hair to be a bigot. Do remember that I'm not exactly the picture perfect Saiyan myself, and yet you don't judge me" she said to him in a disappointed manner, that frown still on her face as she stared at him with her hands on her hips. When Raditz said that he wanted nothing to do with the so-called fantasy world she was living in, it made Gine scowl a bit in a way that was most unlike her. She didn't like the snippy, demeaning manner that Raditz was using to talk to her. Regardless of what it was that he had learned while under Frieza, it didn't mean anything, because she was still his Mother, and she would not tolerate either of her sons showing her such disrespect. Really, she would have figured that Raditz would show her some amount of respect, but it appears that it isn't the case. "Why is it a fantasy in your eyes when all I want is for our family to be together and happy, Raditz? That's all any mother would want, the safety and happiness of her family, and that's all I've ever wanted. If you still hold memories of the time we spent together while your father was off doing his job with his team, you would know that. I would have figured the years growing up under my tutelage would at least let you know to treat your own mother with respect, but it appears that isn't the case" she said to Raditz with a scowl on her face. Hearing the rather rude manner that her son was treating Chi-Chi caused Gine to narrow her eyes, clench her hands into fists, and press her lips tightly together. While the Saiyan Mother was well-known as a soft, gentle, pacifistic person, she was still a Saiyan, and like all Saiyans, could feel things like anger, pride, and irritation as much as the next Saiyan. This was one of those moments where she would feel them, because she was getting quite irritated with her son's rudeness, it just didn't match her image of the formerly happy little boy she raised. "Raditz, I will not have you insulting Kakarot's wife like that. She is just as much family as Kakarot is, and she deserved the same respect as I and your Father do. If you've come here to reconcile with your brother, than you won't succeed as long as you disrespect his wife like you are doing right now" she said to him as that scowl she had on her face earlier had fully returned, only this time it was more intense, much more intense than the first time Raditz had seen it. When Chi-Chi had thanked her for having such a kind son, that it was nice to meet her, and asked if she would like to see family album, Gine's eyes lit up, and she turned to look at Chi-Chi with a smile, nodding her head. "It does my heart good to know that Kakarot has grown up to be such a kind boy, which means he must be a good judge of character if you are his wife. Thank you for loving my son, and absolutely. I would love nothing more than to see the loving family you've made with my little Kakarot" she said with that smile as she clapped her hands together excitedly. _________ WC: 714 TWC: 3,043 |

Chi-Chi went off and quickly got some of the family albums in order to show them to Gine. Chi-Chi then came back into the room carrying a few of the albums in her arms. Chi-Chi then put the photos albums onto the end table near the couch. Chi-Chi then took a seat onto the couch and and pulled a album onto her lap. She then opened the album to the first page and the picture that was on that page was of her and goku on their wedding. Chi-Chi smiled slightly at the picture and then quickly closed it.. Chi-Chi then thought she should have asked where Gine would have liked to sit at. Chi-Chi quickly got up from the couch and walked over to Gine with album in hand"Gine, where would you be most comfortable sitting at while looking at photos?" asked Chi-Chi. Chi-Chi then waited for Gine to answer her. As she waited on her answers Chi-Chi couldn't help but still feel joy in her heart at the true blessing she was getting to meet her mother-in-law. Chi-Chi was now hoping that while they where looking over the photo she and Gine would bond. She also hoped that they would become good friends. WC:207 Edited by Chi-Chi, Nov 28 2015, 11:22 PM.

"Oh, right here is fine, Chi-Chi-Chan" Gine said with a smile as she eyed the photo album and quickly snatched up to look through it with a rather unusual excitement for someone who was born and raised with the Saiyan ways. As she looked through the photo album, she took in all of the different pictures there, practically devouring them. As she did so, her eyes started to get more and more misty as time went on, unable to believe what it was that she was witnessing right here and now, how much her youngest son had grown up without her. Eventually, she couldn't help it, a few tears escaped her. "I can't believe how much my little Kakarot has grown. He not only has a wife and three children, but a grandchild of his own. He looks so much like my Bardock, too. If I gave him a red headband, put some scars on his face, and put in some armor, he'd look like the spitting image of his father" she said as her emotions got the better of her. She just couldn't believe how much of her son's lives that she had missed with her being dead and all. ______ WC: 200 TWC: 3,243 |

Chi-Chi took notice of the tears that Gine had running down her face. Chi-Chi got a frown on her face."Please don't cry Gine. If I had known that showing you the the photo albums would make you sad ,I would have not show them to you." said Chi-Chi. Chi-Chi then offered Gine some tissues to use." I'm that I made you sad." said Chi-Chi. She then tried to think of what else she could do in order to offer some comfort to her mother-in-law. As she was thinking Chi-Chi did the first that came to mind. She gave Gine a hug. Chi-Chi then stopped hugging Gine. She then thought that maybe she could could offer to fix Gine some tea."Gine would you like some tea?"asked Chi-Chi. As she waited on a answer Chi-Chi couldn't help but think back to some of the times when she was upset and how drinking a nice warm cup of tea would make her feel better. Chi-Chi hoped that Gine would say yes to her offer. As she was thinking, Chi-Chi was still keeping a ear out for what Gine had to say about her offer. Chi-Chi soon got done thinking and just went back to for a answer. WC:206 |
