With the puppy all patched up, the pair got back on the path and back on the move, this time accompanied by a new member of the party, making them three in total. Now the duo had become a trio and they were all heading along in stride, making their way up the winding mountain path, climbing higher and higher in elevation and making their way right up to the top of the world, or at least it seemed to be.

The weather was absolutely delicious tonight and Tapion couldn't get enough of it. The air was warm and there was the slightest hint of a cool breeze, keeping him feeling just right. The exercise was welcomed as well and his body was beginning to loosen up from all the torment he had put it through lately. He wondered if Liza might know of any good massage therapists around, since it had been Kami knows how long since he had gotten one of those. His muscles were tight and his tendons and ligaments even more so. If he wanted any chance of sustaining during this long journey, he would need to get his body all sorted out, as well as his mind.

"Hey... so... I just realized, I never got your name... You told me your little brother's name back at the windmill but, I still haven't heard yours..." Liza's words flowed out into the air, piquing Tapion's interest and he suddenly stopped walking. "You know, I'm getting a little hungry. What do you say we stop for a little while and rest. We can have a bite to eat and properly introduce ourselves." The swordsman realized he hadn't ever gotten the female shinobi's name either and he suddenly felt extremely rude. They would need to remedy this little fupa right away. Hell, they had even given the dog a name, without first learning the names of one another. It was truly a strange and incredible world.

Kickin' back on the side of the mountain path now, Tapion used the tip of a stick to pick bits of food from between his teeth. He was laying on his back again, in the dirt, staring up at the stars above. The sky was beautiful and he wondered if one of those little pin holes might be his home planet, Konats. Liza was sitting beside him, her legs crossed over one another and her hands in her lap. She was still working on finishing her dinner and was still trying to recover from the surprise witnessing of Tapion's incredible appetite. He seemed to have a knack for whoofing his food down in a matter of seconds, rather than savoring it and taking his time. Was he really just that hungry? Or perhaps that was how they did things back where... he came from?

Their new pal Raygun was laying near Tapion's feet, curled up in a tight little ball like some sort of kitty cat. It was pretty funny, considering she was a full sized dog and preferred to rest in such a way. The swordsman's ankles were crossed and he tapped his boot covered foot gently to a melody playing in his head. He had half a mind to pull out his ocarina and play a little tune, but knew that Liza had wanted to talk a little bit about who they where.

"Got it!" he said, finally picking that last pesky bit of food from between his teeth. Licking at the spot in a victorious and soothing fashion, the swordsman tossed the stick aside and turned his attention toward Liza. His eyes fell upon the woman's face and he saw that she was staring right at him. He smiled softly, to which she returned the gesture. "Well then, do you wanna' start or should I?" she prodded, wondering if he was eager to go first. She certainly was and she had hardly been able to contain herself the entire meal. At every point when she had opened her mouth to take a bite of food, she had strained incredibly hard not to blurt out question after question.

"Alright, alright! I'll go! So my name's Liza and I'm the leader of the Island Palms gang. Those were the guys you met back on the bridge. They're a bunch of good dudes, really. I know the circumstances weren't the greatest, but I'd really like you to meet the crew someday. I'm sure you'd all get along great! Anyway, I grew up on the islands and have been working my way up the ranks of the Island Palms gang for quite a while. Due to my impressive ninja skills, I was able to beat out the others vying for the job and have been the leader for over a year now. Hmmm... let's see, is there anything else you want to know?"

Tapion blinked, looking at the woman and trying to take it all in. "Uhh..."

After a few moments of silence, Tapion finally mustered up the resolve to answer back. The woman had laid it all out there and in rapid fire fashion. He had tried to take it all in, but would honestly probably have to ask her a few things again, should he ever care to retain such information. Now, it seemed it was his turn. He sighed and slowly turned his eyes away from the woman and back toward the stars above.

"My name is Tapion. I'm... I come from a planet called Konats and... well, it's a long story I guess." "No, please! We've got time, I mean... we're still resting right? So please, don't be shy! I'd like to hear it, really." Liza coaxed the information out of the swordsman, hoping that he would go for the bait and tell her more. His name and his home planet was a good start, but she was eager to get into all the juicy, thick, meaty details of him. She wanted to know more about his home world, the things he did as a child, all the trouble he used to get into and any loves that he had experienced in the past. She wanted to know it all, but she had to remember to play it cool and allow it to come from him. If she forced it, she feared he'd bottle up and then she'd never know about his adventures.

"You sure you wanna' know?" He warned, his eyes slowly falling from the sky above and landing on Raygun the dog, who was still curled up in a little ball, her chest rising and falling gently with each breath. Liza nodded her head, whispering her answer toward him as she studied his face and his expressions. "Yes..." she said softly. "Alright then... but do me a favor would you? Once I tell you about my past, promise me that we'll get going and not waste anymore time, alright? Minotia is out there somewhere, and I need to find him and make sure he's okay..." Liza nodded once again, smiling softly at the mention of Minotia's name.

"Yes... of course, I promise."

:[OCARINA♮MASTER]:

When his tale was finished, he let out a long, steady exhalation and closed his eyes. He didn't know if he had ever told anyone about his past, and yet, here he was, opening up to a woman he had only just met. Interestingly enough, while he was telling his story, Raygun had even lifted her head to listen and the Konatsian felt like they truly cared. He wished that Minotia was there with them, then their party would be four and they could have all sorts of wonderful adventures together. Unfortunately, the boy was nowhere to be found, despite Tapion's best efforts and constant searching. His search would have to go on and his journey, was far from over.

After their nice little chat and proper introductions were finished, the trio were once again back on the path, heading deeper and higher into the mountains. Every step took them higher and higher and the air grew thinner and colder in temperature. Before long, they would begin seeing patches of snow in the shady spots that the sun's rays never touched. Tapion kept his eyes peeled for any other wildlife they might come across up here, but felt confident in his two other lookouts to alert him if anything crossed their paths.

"You know, I think I remember a shortcut through here if you wanna' take it?" Liza's offer was one that the Konatsian Knight would strongly have to consider. He felt like he had wasted quite a bit of time already and he certainly wanted to make it through the mountains as quickly as possible. Then he could make it to the land of Korin and find some answers about his brother that much sooner. "Alright, let's do it," he agreed, pausing for a moment to see where Liza would lead them.

It appeared that Raygun was keeping right in step with them now and whatever Liza had done to patch the pooch up, was working marvelously. No one missed a beat and Tapion had the utmost confidence in his new party. He couldn't wait to see what they could really do, in the event they encountered any trouble along the way. He surely hoped it would all be smooth sailing, but he knew all too well that such optimism usually didn't achieve any sort of fruition. He would have to remain diligent, cautious and ready for anything. These days, simply crossing a bridge to the mainland could get you jumped by a gang of thugs.

Liza lead the trio up the path a little farther, until they came to a certain point she recognized. Tapion had no idea how she could recognize it, since everything seemed to look the same to him, especially at this time of night. He shrugged and followed her as she lead them off the path and into the brush. Stepping through the tall grass and trying to avoid encounters with any cactus patches, the Konatsian warrior moved quietly and tried to keep his eyes out for any rattlesnakes or anything else that might whip out and try to bite a piece out of the pooch or Liza's ankle. He was sure that both of them had the reflexes to avoid such a strike, but he couldn't help but feel the desire to protect and defend them.

There was no way of knowing where they were headed now and Tapion could only hope that Liza was right. If her shortcut was legit, they would be able to cut hours if not an entire day off their travel time through the mountains, but if she was mistaken or forgot the details of her shortcut, they would end up losing more time than they had already spent. The swordsman remained positive, for now, knowing that woman was yet to let him down and probably didn't plan on starting now. "Yes! This is it!" she cried, rushing ahead to check out an interesting looking boulder.

To Tapion, it looked like nothing more than a regular boulder, albeit a little interesting looking due to the patterns that were displayed in the texture of the rock. It looked like it had been caused by moisture, constant rainfall up here in the mountains and possible freezing ice and thawing out again. Whatever had caused it, the rock's skin certainly told a cool tale and Tapion wondered what it had to do with Liza's shortcut. He soon found out when the woman touched her hands against the rock's surface and spoke some sort of password to the stone.

Right before his eyes, the stone began to glow and then it suddenly slid to the side, revealing a hidden passage behind it. Tapion smirked slightly and stepped forth, following Raygun and Liza into the passage. Once they had entered, the swordsman stood watch until the stone slid back into place, sealing them inside. He turned and gave the female shinobi a nod. This was looking promising so far and the sword wielding alien couldn't wait to see what lay ahead of them next. This was truly shaping up to be an adventure now and he was glad to have these other two along for the ride. He couldn't wait for them both to meet Minotia...

Deeper and deeper they traveled, down into the depths of the cave they had entered. It had begun as a narrow, rocky passage, but had soon emptied into a massive cave system that seemed to run all throughout the mountain range. It was going to be a miracle if they could find their way out of here any time this century, but Liza seemed to know exactly where she was heading.

Though it had been dark when they were first sealed in by the magic stone, the shinobi of the Island Palms gang had planned ahead. Without so much as a second though, she had produced a flare of sorts and was now holding it up, using it to see through the dark and help guide their way. The Konatsian smiled from his spot at the back of the line as he watched Liza lead the way and Raygun follow close behind her.

There wasn't much noise to be heard down here and the swordsman's only real complaint, was that he could no longer feel the wonderful weather that he had been enjoying oh so much outside. It was true that they had been climbing higher and the air had been getting colder at they neared the peaks, but it was still very comfortable weather as far as he was concerned. Now however, down here in these caves, the humidity had risen substantially, as well as the heat.

He was beginning to sweat and every time he blinked, another thick bead seemed to shed away from his forehead, brow and eyelashes and go cascading to the natural floor below. Between the sounds of his sweat drops hitting the ground, Raygun's incessant panting and Liza's slow burning flare; they were quite the little musical procession marching right along through the cave network. Had they been judged, Tapion was sure they could've at least taken second or third in a battle of the bands competition.

"Aha! Yes! This is good, it's all coming back to me now!" stated Liza from the front. Tapion inhaled sharply at her comment, shaking his head and chewing his teeth together. That wasn't the sort of thing he wanted to hear, after they had been walking for such a long while already. All this time he had thought her to know exactly where she was headed, but it seemed she was just trying to feel her way around and remember as she moved. Hell, as long as it got them there and out of this cave soon, he wouldn't complain. But Kami help them all, if they ended up getting lost down here and it came down to desperate times, Tapion vowed he would eat the both of them and save his damn self.

Licking his lips, the swordsman knew it was time for a break. They had been moving at a good click for quite a while and the heat was only growing. They needed to take a pit stop and re-hydrate before they moved on any farther. Pausing, his booted soles scuffed against the ground and small pebbles were sent scattering across the stone floor. Liza and Raygun picked up on the sound and stopped, turning back to see if Tapion was alright. Spotting the pointy eared swordsman with a bottle of water in his hands, Liza nodded, realizing that it was indeed break time and her hands moved to pull her own water into view.

Giving the pooch a drink and then taking one for herself, she held her flare up high and gazed toward the Konatsian Knight. "What do you think? Hot enough for you in here?" Her teasing was acknowledged, but not particularly wanted and Tapion sighed heavily in between drinks of the clear liquid. If they kept this up, he was going to need a nap and by the look of Liza, with what little attire she was wearing all covered in sweat and nearly see through; she would be ready for one as well. "Hangin' in there poochy?" Liza squatted to engage the k9 and gave the pretty girl a good scratchin' on the back sides of her ears. The dog responded with tail wagging and mustered up the best smile it could, as her own personal way of saying "Ahhh yes, that's the spot, that feels good, thank you!"

"How about you? Are you holding up alright?" asked the swordsman, his eyes falling over Liza's face. She returned his gaze, still squatted with the pooch and gently scratching under Raygun's chin. A soft smile crept over her lips as she stared at Tapion for a moment and then nodded her head. "Better than ever I think..." she said in all honesty, glad to be here with these two new friends, stepping outside her comfort zone and doing something wild and interesting. It had been a long while since she had shaken things up and this call to adventure was exactly what she had been longing for. Sitting around day in and day out got old very quickly and things became stale and boring. She wanted adventure, excitement and maybe even a little danger. Then, she would truly feel alive! "Thanks for letting me tag along."

Once their little water break was over, Tapion put gloved backhand to wet lips. He rolled his shoulders back and cracked his neck, trying to stretch out a little bit after stiffening up during their pause in movement. They had been going pretty strong ever since they started and these little breaks were more often than not, a hindrance as opposed to a benefit. The liquid did serve its purpose however and the Konatsian Knight was feeling hydrated and ready to do the next leg. He looked toward both females, one human and one of the k9 family and saw that they too were ready. However, just as the Knight was about to resume marching, he spotted Raygun suddenly dip away into the darkness, beyond the glow of Liza's flare.

"Hmm? Wonder where she's... Oh..." He could hear the dog taking care of her business, which was most appropriate after just drinking some water. The swordsman took a deep breath and decided he too would partake in a little, relief exercise... aka taking a piss. He gave Liza a quick wave, before stepping out of the light's radius and wandering off into the darkness of the cave. Once he was a good ways from the others, he dropped trou and began wrestling the snake. After a bit of a struggle with the weight and ridiculous girth, Tapion was able to get his relief on and his eyes rolled back in their sockets as he enjoyed the incredible sensation. It had certainly been quite some time since he last took a bathroom break and this was beyond heavenly.

Liza noticed that she had been abandoned and she shrugged, deciding she would join the party and take care of business while she had the chance. She wasn't feeling as dehydrated as Tapion, but she had downed her fair share of water and knew that there wouldn't be many opportunities to stop and take a restroom break. She would take advantage of this moment and do so under the cover of darkness. Dropping her flare where she was currently standing, she then wandered away from it, finding a cozy little corner to call her own and handle her stuff. While she went, she kept her eyes pinned on her flare which was still burning slow on the ground several yards away.

It was quite an interesting sight, being in the middle of some giant underground cave network, staring at a small circle of light and being able to see nothing else, but knowing that there were two other members of your party out there somewhere in that darkness, doing the same thing you were right now. Suddenly, Liza felt a wet tongue lick the side of her leg and she about shit a brick. "EEEEK!!!" she cried, shooting upward into the air and kicking her legs in sheer terror and bewilderment. It didn't take her long to realize that it was only Raygun, though the dog had bolted out of fright upon Liza's reaction.

Once they had both calmed down, they reunited and had a little laugh. It wasn't exactly Liza's finest moment, but she knew that out on the road, things were much more lenient and the others probably wouldn't mind one bit that she now had piss all over her boots. She sighed and shook her head, petting Raygun on the head and doing her best to clean up the mess she had made. "Boys got it easy... don't they..." she taunted, looking at Raygun and then staring off into the darkness as she thought about Tapion. He was sure taking his sweet time out there and she hoped everything was coming out alright for the alien swordsman. Just to be sure, she decided to offer her services in the event he needed some help.

"Hey man, you need a roll of TP or somethin'? What's the hold up?"

While Tapion hadn't taken a shit and didn't currently require any toilet paper to wipe his ass with, he did feel as though he might need a different kind of assistance. While taking his piss and standing quietly, breathing deeply and enjoying himself, he had apparently urinated all over some ancient demon's burial grounds and awoken the monster in a rather rude way. Now, standing face to face with the creepy looking fucker in the darkness, Tapion didn't know whether to pull up his pants and high tail it back toward the light, or just turn and high tail it back toward the light. Whatever this thing was that he had just awoken had some stank ass breath and was pissed off about being pissed on.

"Uhm, guys..."

The creepy ass demon bitch suddenly roared in Tapion's face, letting the Konatsian swordsman know it was time to get the fuck outta' there. He didn't even bother to put his dick away and instead just spun on the heels of his boot and sprinted back toward the flare at full speed. Surprised by his own abilities, he arrived there sooner than he expected and went skidding several yards past it.

Gritting his teeth, the swordsman regained some traction and raced back to the flare, scooping it up off the ground and waving it wildly through the air over his head to try and signal the others, wherever they were. "Guys! Come quick! We gotta' get outta' here!" He shouted his announcement and continued to wave the flare around in a sporadic and frantic manner, hoping the k9 and the shinobi female would emerge from the darkness soon. Hopefully this wasn't all part of some sick plan of theirs to sit back in the shadows and watch him get eaten by some psychotic looking demon chick.

"Hey! I said it's time to go, NOW!" he boomed, deciding if they didn't show in the next second, he was leaving without them. There was no way in hell he was going to stay down here in this goddamn cave system with that creepy girl wandering around stalking them through the darkness. He knew he had already upset her and he didn't want to stick around and find out what happened when you overstayed your welcome in her domain. Tapion could definitely take a hint, and right now it was flashing a bright green light in his face that said GO!

"Train's leaving!" he spat, securing his sword and sheath on his back and patting quickly at his attire to ensure he had everything else he needed. Deciding he was all set, he didn't bother to stick around any longer and took a step to leave this damned place and never return... ever! Just as he stepped, his path was cut off by a familiar pair of faces. One was covered in white fur with some brown speckles and splotches and a big hanging tongue sticking out the side of her mouth. The other was a woman's face, slightly weathered from her many adventures and active lifestyle, but cute as all hell regardless.

"You two, With me, Let's roll!" he barked, pushing straight past them and power walking straight ahead with no idea at all where he was going or if where he was going actually went anywhere at all. "Uhhh..." "Here! Let me take that! I'll get us outta' here! C'mon follow me!" Liza snatched the flare from Tapion's hand and raced off in the opposite direction, leading the swordsman to believe that he truly would've taken them straight into a dead end. Relieved that the party was back together and Liza was leading the way again, Tapion narrowed his gaze on a familiar, curled white tail and chased after it as it bolted through the darkness of the cave.

Unfortunately, they wouldn't be getting off that easy. Tapion's dehydrated urine had been rather potent and the demon bitch was none too happy about these intruders defiling her lair. They would pay for their insolence and learn to show some respect to the Demon Heiress!

"Here! The exit's here! Come on!" shouted Liza from up ahead, waving her flare wildly through the air to get Tapion's attention. Raygun was already at the exit with her and the swordsman was moving as swiftly as he could to catch up. He could practically feel the demon bitch's breath breathing down the back of his neck. It was stank and terrible and his nose crumpled up trying to block out the odor.

As he finally raced up to the others, he saw that there was a hole leading back out into the open air. He couldn't have been more relieved. He had grown weary of the cave system and the humidity and had longed to cool off in the fresh mountain air once again. Not wasting any time in fear of being consumed by some creepy ass cave dweller girl, the Konatsian sped right past the two waiting by the exit, diving out into the open air and rolling over his shoulder in a long somersaulting fashion.

Springing to his feet, he spun around and ripped his sword from its sheath. Liza and Raygun were right behind him, and so was the cave dweller demon girl. She sprang from the exit, screeching and wailing like a banshee and thrusting her jagged nails toward Tapion's throat. The swordsman stepped back, ducking slightly and slashes his blade through the air, lopping one of the girl's hands off before it could reach him. "RAAAAHHH" She let out a bloodcurdling scream that chilled Tapion to his very bones. He spun away from the creepy bitch, trying to put some more distance between them before she got on the offensive again.

Meanwhile, Liza and Raygun had taken their positions on either sides of the cave dweller girl and were preparing attacks of their own. To Tapion's surprise, he watched as Raygun sprang into action first, diving through the air and chomping with her long teeth at the demon's neck. The cave dweller was able to dodge the attack and Raygun went sliding off into the brush, disappearing from view. Liza tried next, launching herself high into the air above the demon and unleashing a barrage of shuriken down upon the one handed bitch. Her shuriken found their mark, stabbing into the chick's shoulders and torso and knocking her back to the ground.

Tapion nodded, "nice shot!" he cried, before racing inward once again to try and stab his blade through the demon's chest and finish her off. He wanted to end this fight before it got too out of hand. In all honesty he didn't want to harm this demon in any way, seeing as how they were the ones who had trespassed on her domain, but she didn't seem willing or mentally capable of letting it go. She was bloodthirsty and wouldn't stop until she had killed them all and devoured their bones. She would undoubtedly drag them all back down into her lair and drink every last drop of their blood, before returning to her hibernation and awaiting the next group of unsuspecting travelers to come through.

The Konatsian swordsman thrust his blade forward at blinding speed, spearing the demon chick through the chest and driving her straight back into the rock face behind her. Stabbing his sword straight into the rock wall, it pierced the stone and left the demon hanging from his blade unable to free herself. She screamed, kicked and thrashed wildly, trying to lash out at Tapion and claw his face with her one remaining hand. The swordsman growled back at her and stepped back, leaving her trapped on his blade, stabbed into the rock face. As Raygun and Liza joined him at his side, they all stood motionless for a moment, looking at the demon in wonder. She was certainly something else and they were glad and fortunate to have escaped her evil wrath.

"So... what are we going to do with her now?" asked Liza, looking from the demon, to the Konatsian warrior.
