The sound of the hard spines hitting against the barrier suddenly died down and with that, the group remained untouched. Nexon felt Lagi pat him on the back before the older of the Oshiro boys attacked. Valdus and Lagi seemed to have the same idea as both of them went forward, attacking the bio-warrior with some pretty flashy looking energy attacks. Using his telekinesis Nexon would wait for both Lagi and Valdus to finish their strikes before dropping a massive mountain of stone onto whatever might have remained of the bio-warrior. With his psychic ability it would have an extra amount of force with it.

CRASH!~! BOOM!~ CRACKLE~ SNAP! POW! ZING~!

All this and more were the many sound effects as the combined efforts of the super trio came tumbling down upon the Bio-Android. Valdus held his arms out in front of him, they were shaking as he tried to steady them. Valdus' power circulated all around him, making the air itself palpable. Valdus lowered his strength, letting his power level descend down as he reverted back into his base form. Valdus' eyes shifted from amber yellow to cyan as he looked around at his compatriots. "Grand show all around fellas! We make quite the team, there was never a doubt that we would succeed!" Valdus says in a triumphant boast.

Addison wipes her forehead as she stands up behind Nexon. They were safe now, there was no more danger being presented from the likes of the New Red Ribbon Army....for now. Addison was going to have to find a pretty good hiding spot if she was going to avoid being found again. She had the option of hanging low at Valdus' suggestion for a few days, but there had to be an attempt made to find something more permanent. Something that would act as a fortitude for not only her safety but a little peace of mind.

Valdus wipes the collected beads of sweat from his forehead with a back stroke of his arm. He runs a hand through his dampened hair, letting out a small sigh of relief. It wasn't that he didn't enjoy fighting, but this just happened to be the most fighting he had done in such short spans. Why just recently he had already fended off an attacker looking to claim Addison's head, he had been very busy being protector. Luckily for him, he had been given assistance on both occasions making the job a tiny bit easier.

"You guys are awesome! Thank you so much for taking care of that big bad brute! He was of inferior design, but you boys my heroes!" Addi delightfully proclaimed to her rag tag group of fighters who banded together and took on the threat. Valdus couldn't help but chuckle at the compliment as he waved it off, turning his head to look around and make sure everything was safe as well as the coast being clear. Addison patted Nexon on the head, since he was the closet. "You were so cool back there Nex!" She said with a soft smile. She turned her attention to Lagi, "And you weren't half bad yourself! Although, your performance aside that doesn't get rid of the elephant in the room. I mean Gohan abandoning him is one thing, he isn't the boy's father. But you Lagi? Your Nexon's brother! Why has he been stranded out here in the wilderness with nobody to take care of him!?" Addison pulls no punches and looks like she wants to the answers right now, whether or not Lagi would comply was the real question that needed to be answered at this given moment in time.

Lagi knew that now they had dealt with that monster, it was explanation time. Lagi's heart sank, and he feared the wrath of the trio may come down on him. His chest pounded, and he did his best to keep his composure so that he could explain in as much of an understandable was as he could.

"Marcus D. Fink." Lagi said, the name might not have been very well known to them, but Lagi had spent the last week snooping around the man's estate and testing him for answers. "You might know his as the CFO of AXA corp. Or, he was until about 3 o'clock this morning when he was arrested for the murder of his son, Alan H. Fink." Lagi said, but it wasn't clear why these people were being brought up, he cleared his throat, knowing he'd gotten ahead of himself, which he apologized for.

"I'll skip the fancy stuff and get right into the timeline of events. At this current time, I see the following events having taken place in this order." Lagi explained, drawing out of his pocket a small notebook which he'd scribble the events on.

"Six months ago, Alan H. Fink, only son and heir to AXA Corp's CFO Marcus, married a young woman named Charlotte. His father disapproved of the woman, and threatened to remove the boy from his will. Alan laughed it off, knowing he had dirt on his father that would prevent him from ever doing so. Alan had discovered that his father's company was started with money he'd gotten running a drug ring in Central City. Sure, from rags to riches might seem like an inspiring story, but with Marcus becomes less a hero and more a criminal." Lagi flipped the page on his notebook, nodding at the pages.

"A few days later, Marcus was prepared for his devious plot. He'd successfully bribed a doctor to corroborate his story about his injury. Marcus had lent the man money to start up his practice, and was now calling in favors. With this false injury in place, it was quite easy to handle the rest. All he had to do was get rid of the only detective around that could see through his charade. That being yours truly." Lagi explained, pressing his hand to his chest in a non-boasty manner. He continued reading.

He explained that Marcus had used an unknown, and likely untested poison on Lagi in an attempt to kill him. At the very least, he hoped to keep Lagi in the hospital long enough for his case to be closed. Lagi continued to explain how the man had staged his son's suicide, using a classic locked room trick. The acrobatics required to pull it off would never work if you didn't know the house, and especially if you had a broken leg. He would have gotten away with it too, if not for his damned reflexes. While interviewing him, Lagi took an autographed football off the mantle, and pitched it at the man's midsection. In a panicked frenzy, Marcus lept out of his chair, instantly barking out, demanding to know the meaning of what Lagi was doing.

The fool didn't even realize he was standing on both feet, clearly uninjured. Lagi had used a simple trick to prove the man was in fine enough shape to pull it off, and he had no reason to fake the injury if not to keep suspicion away from him.

"So, four months after the murder, I wake up in a field, alone. No Nexon, no sign of where he'd gone, and no clue as to what had happened to me. I thought my best bet for finding Nexon was to find the one who'd poisoned me, but I was wrong. It's purely by luck that I ran into you all here and..." Lagi continued, his lip quivering as he grabbed Nexon's shoulder, "I thought maybe I'd never see you again. Any of you, really. It seemed that all those I had known before the incident were gone, without a trace." Lagi sighed, rubbing his head. "I know it doesn't excuse anything, but I plan on getting us a house to stay at, can't really risk this kind of thing to happen again. Who knows what sicko could try something like this next time."

Nexon offered a bright smile as Dr. Addison patted the boy on the head, thanking him for his heroics though he hadn't really done all that much. Nonetheless, he was glad that all three of them were able to save the Doctor from the bio-android. However, the celebration was cut short as the older woman then turned her smile to a vengeful frown, asking where Lagi had been the entire time. Though he didn't really care, Nexon was a bit curious, he had been with Gohan for a month while Lagi was gone and the last 3 or so he had been on his own. Though it wasn't him living in the wilderness the entire time.

Nexon actually trained with an array of teachers, managing to evolve himself as a martial artist and grow his power. Every so often he would come back to Gohan's home on Mount Paozu, seeing if either Lagi or his teacher had returned but he was only met with disappointment. Still, he hardly let something like being alone get him down, most people viewed him as helpless and although that was true to a degree, the boy had matured a bit, able to make it on his own. The older Oshiro removed a notebook and went on about why he was gone for so long. The boy raised his eyebrows, blinking confused through the long explanation.

About halfway through, he actually focused on a rock that had been cast by his feet. It wasn't just any rock, it had little sparkles in it and that made him believe it was harboring diamonds. He crouched slightly and picked it up, looking to both Valdus and Addison whom were fixed on Lagi before he stuffed the priceless (at least in his imagination) gem in his pocket. He did manage to cut back into the conversation when Lagi said he was out for four entire months, waking up in a field as he suddenly placed a hand on the younger Oshiro's shoulder. Nexon blinked in surprise as he saw Lagi's face contour into a quiver, he looked like he was about to cry.

It made him a little uncomfortable to see his incredibly powerful brother, the role model he looked up to on the verge of tears though he understood why. In response, Nexon lifted his left hand and delivered a light chop to the cranium of his older brother, just to change the mood. "I'm okay dummy. Gohan-sensei taught me how to do a lot of things and now I'm strong!" His thought process was really simple but he wasn't wrong. Lagi was back and that's all he cared about, he made sure his brother knew there was no reason to feel guilty; he was a strong martial artist after all. It seemed some of Gohan's personality had rubbed off of him a bit, though Nexon still smiled through his words. He wasn't mad, distraught or even the least bit sad, he was glad to have Lagi back with him.

"Though I guess he forgot to tell me I should take a bath...Dr. Addison said I smell."

So much serious business, then Nexon went on to break the tension with his child whimsy. Addi couldn't contain her laughter as she let out a small chuckle. She went back over to Nexon, ruffling his hair as she couldn't help but smile at him. She kneels down and looks him square in the eye. "We'll have to get you a big ol' bubble bath soon, won't we?" Addi said with a delighted visage. She turned back to Lagi, who Valdus had just begun to engage in conversation.

"It appears you've seen your fair share of turmoil. Simply misdirection, miscommunication possibly. I believe what's important is that you brothers have been reunited, and I'm sure Addison is appreciative of your efforts to ensure her safety." Valdus states as he lifts his sword up, retracting the blade back into the hilt as he twirled it like a revolver and then plunged it back into it's sheath on his belt. Valdus stretched his neck as he worked out the after battle kinks that had gathered.

"I guess what matters is that everyone is okay, for now." Jocelyn says with a sense of longing for that to extend way past just the confines of now. Addison tucked her hands into the pockets of her sweater as she looked over at the fine gentlemen that had assembled around her. Two red headed Saiyans and a Noble Maylon from halfway across the galaxy. They were a strange gathering, but there was a sense of camaraderie there.

"So where we going now? Addi asked as she kicked the dirt and bobbed her head from side to side.

Valdus cupped a hand to his chin as he contemplated his answer for but a moment.

"I have a base of operations out in the Devil's Hand, if you all require to lay low my humble abode is open to you. If that doesn't work I'm sure I could ask the Crane School for some assistance with a few bunks. I guess it would all be on a matter of preference from you all. You're welcome to discuss it among yourself..." Valdus said as he nodded, turning away and begins to dust himself off from the spoils of war. Addison tapped her finger against her lips as she turned to Lagi, and then Nexon. Looking between the two as she asked the question, "What do you guys think?" She said, with a sense of curious wonder in her big blue eyes. She was curious to hear the thoughts of her former room mates when they all lived with Mirai Gohan. Course Addison didn't call him Mirai Gohan, she just knew him as the "Better" Gohan.

"Devil's Hand or the Crane School?" Lagi scoffed. "Devil's Hand."

"I'll not set foot near that crane school if I can help it." Lagi dismissed the idea entirely. Sure, Devil's Hand sounded scary, but so do a lot of things. Slap devil or demon in front of anything and it sounds scarier. Devil school, demon library, ghost toothbrush. It was pretty easy.

"If you've been there before, Mr.... I'm sorry, I don't think I've caught your name." Lagi said, extending his hand to Valdus, "Lagi Oshiro, I'm Nexon's brother, and a private investigator who works alongside local law enforcement from time to time." Lagi explained his position. He had not met, so whatever Lagi had just explained, probably just sounded like gibberish to this guy.

There was certainly cause for celebration, they were all alive and well after all. It was a great leap forward. Yesterday, Lagi was alone and without a lead on where Nexon could be. Or any of his other friends for that matter. It was very much a progressive day, and Lagi had to appreciate that. Still, with this he knew the road ahead was not a pleasant one. There were still evils on this Earth that reared their ugly heads, and it seemed one of which he was already aware of, was targeting the lovely Dr. Addison.

The thought alone of this aggravated Lagi, and his aura flared for a moment, but he kept in under control. Lagi shook his head, not sure what was wrong with him. This was entirely unlike him. He was not one to be emotional. Today surely was an overload of emotion though. Nexon's return to his life brought him fathomless joy, and Dr. Addison certainly stoked that flame as well. Valdus, while a new acquaintance, certainly seemed to be someone Lagi would like to keep around. He was a fellow swordsman at that.

"Not that I have a problem with other's who associate themselves with the Crane School." Lagi clarified. "I just have a bad history there, youth tournaments and such. I'd be met with closed fists rather then open palms, I'm sure." He wasn't sure why he felt the need to explain himself. Valdus was already leaning towards the Devil's Hand option, he could have easily just used that as his excuse, but he didn't want to lie and it later have to come out. He cleared the air for them all right then and there.

"Besides, the more secluded the better. The NRRA aren't going to stop just because we kept a beast of theirs at bay. There will be more, and I'd like as little outside interference and as few people caught in the crossfire as humanly possible." Lagi further explained, which was actually a more sound and confident reason to him. He liked that line of thinking a lot more than the grudge. Certainly made him seem less bitter. In reality he wasn't bitter, he just didn't like the fact that in their eyes, he never won anything and had cheated. That was the past though, and this was now. Devil's Hand seemed to be their place.

It seemed the air cleared up after Nexon spoke, the group was finished asking about Lagi's whereabouts and now seemed to be moving forward as opposed to digging up history. Valdus thanked the boys in his own way as well, speaking how Dr. Addison must have been appreciative of their efforts in keeping her safe. They had both met Dr. Addison previously and although she could get riled up, she was a sweet person to be around. Lagi was all grown up and so Addison was a sort of mother figure for the boy to be around, maybe he'd even be lucky enough to pick up some hygiene tips from her. Casual bathing and laundry weren't bad things to pick up.

Then the question of where to stay came up, Valdus presented two options to the group. The first sounded like it was a B-Rated horror movie, an are known as the "Devil's Hand" which honestly sounded like a metal album cover and Nexon was all for it. The second was the Crane School, which the boy knew of, he had entered the world martial arts tournament and saw a girl that used the style. She was good but she was also eliminated early. Lagi seemed to favor the Devil's Hand idea more which only reinforced Nexon's decision as well. "Yeah! That one sounds way cooler!"

Wherever the group chose to venture, they were now a band of travelers, each one responsible for the other. Nexon grinned, beaming with excitement as he had finally found something fun and new to do, aside from the casual chasing of animals or taming of them. It was also a great opportunity to see some powerful fighters, Dr. Addison was really wanted by these Red Ribbon Army guys and they seemed pretty strong. Nexon could have fun fighting, making new friends and adventuring, there didn't seem to be a downside to the plan. "No one will expect us to hide out in a place called Devil's Hand, it sounds way too scary. Ooh, also we should have a team name!"

He was treating the situation like a field trip more than anything else, though he insisted on having a team name of sorts. With such a random group banded together however, he wasn't able to think up anything on the spot. He took a moment to himself, inspecting everyone's characteristics, no good there, they were completely different. If it was just him and Lagi, they could have been the "Oshiro's." "Uh...hm...I can't think of anything."
