On the wintry slopes of the Northern Mountains, Piccolo was training diligently to find deeper sources of power within himself. For too long the warrior had relied on the natural gifts of his race, the Namekian fusion. If Piccolo desired to keep up with the rest of the Z Fighters, he would have to push himself to the very limit, beyond what he had ever bared before. It was a constant struggle for Piccolo to find the right kind of training that would produce the results he needed.

The Namekian had trained in the harshest terrains Earth had to offer. The icy arctic tundras of the distant North. The furious head of molten magma and ash of the ocean volcanoes. Even the raging tempests of a hurricane Piccolo has thrown himself in. Time and again the Namek tried to push his training further and further. But, alas, Piccolo started to feel as if he had gotten most out of his planet's natural dangers.

The only other avenues that were known to the Z Fighters and himself were my artificial means, either scientific or mystical in origin. The first being the rigorous gravity machines of the Capsule Corporation. And the other was the extra-dimensional plane known as the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Either options had their own drawbacks. But, more importantly, each were in a well known location. Piccolo did not want to clue in his allies into what he was attempting to do. The last thing he desired was his focus being strained by the observations of others. It was up to Piccolo to find that source of power in himself. Besides, no one else was a Namekian. None of the other Z Fighters would be able to relate to help find the hidden secrets of his race.

All of this rushed through Piccolo's mind as he continued to meditate deep in the frozen peaks of the Northern Mountains. As he contemplated, a large explosion could be heard off in the distance, echoing off the various peaks and formations within the mountain range. Piccolo turned in surprise to discover what had happened. Off into view miles away, Piccolo could see one of the many summits high in the alps exploded throwing snow, ice and debris everywhere. The Namek warrior stood up and flew swiftly towards the disturbance to investigate what could have caused such destruction. Moving as quick as possible, Piccolo soared through the clouds over the mountain pass. As he approached, he hovered over the peak to see what was going on.

Down below, a group of mountain climbers and excavation workers were hanging onto dear life as a heavy hail of frozen snow and ice fell upon them from the peaks above. Each human would shield their eyes while clinging to their rope harnesses and rock surface. These climbers were out in the open and exposed to whatever fury was falling down upon them. Piccolo swooshed into action in an attempt to try and save these innocent folks from certain doom.

Whatever the reason the climbers were there, each of them were in incredible danger. Piccolo descended hastily from the sky to assist them. Flying down, Piccolo could see large boulders of snow and rubble cascading down upon the climbers. The Namekian threw a volley of ki blasts to intercept the falling debris. A golden light show soared and collided with the snowfall, causing each piece to explode in a mist of white powder.

Some of the debris managed to slip through Piccolo’s assault and slammed into a few climbers. Bags they were carrying were knocked off their harnesses.

“Our equipment!” a climber screamed.

One of the climbers was railed in the shoulder with a block of ice and began to plummet. The falling climber screamed in panic as his comrades felt their hearts sink.

“Hal!” one of them yelled after him.

Piccolo’s aura burst into white light as he flew as fast as he could. Zooming down, he easily caught up to this “Hal” and caught him. Hal was too busy screaming in panic to realize that he was safe now. After catching him, Piccolo continued to descend and managed to swipe up and grab their equipment with his free arm.

The climbers opened their eyes with a surprise written on their faces. Each of them was expecting to dine with a grim reaper tonight, just like Hal did. In their minds, it was only a matter of time. In turn, they would be greeted with a different kind of visitor. Each member of the human expedition looked around in confusion, trying to figure out what had caused the bolts of energy. It was not until one of them turned around to see the green extraterrestrial hovering in the air behind their backs holding Hal and the fallen equipment. The climbers hollard and screamed in fear.

“Calm down, calm down!” Piccolo raised his voice to cut through the roaring winds at this height. “Are you alright?!”

“This--this guy save me!” Hal shouted to console his friends.

One of the climbers snapped out of the crazed fear after hearing Hal and responded to Piccolo. “You..you saved Hal?”

Piccolo hovered over to Hal’s harness still clamped into the mountain’s surface. The human expedition member safely grabbed on and reattached himself, holding him in place. Piccolo flew to Hal’s comrade and returned the fallen equipment to her.

“What are you doing out here?” Piccolo asked.

“We are science officers of Capsule Corporation,” the female climber began to explain. “We are examining the effects of ki has on the planet, specifically the atmosphere.”

Hal chimed in with his own addition to her statement, “With the amount of enhanced individuals, androids and aliens...much like yourself… that use ki, the growth of it’s use on Earth has increased incredibly. We’ve been studying to see if too much can affect, or even hurt, the planet in the long run.”

The female continued, “So we are climbing to the peak of this mountain to set up our relay equipment to monitor this area. This mountain was fine until a few minutes ago there was unusual seismic activity.”

Piccolo raised an eyebrow, “Unusual?” The Namekian warrior looked up at the misty peak above. He reached out with his mind to see if he could sense anyone causing this to the climbers. After a few moments, Piccolo couldn’t find anyone.

“We are almost at the top,” Hal said. “Once we mount the equipment there, we can go back home.”

“Alright,” said Piccolo. “I will give you all a lift to the top. After you do what you came to do, I will take you to the base of the mountain. You must move fast if this snow slide continu---” Before Piccolo could finish, a ray of pink light knocked him away from the climbers causing him to fall down below. The climbers screamed in horror as Hal’s savior fell. Rubbing his chest mid-air, Piccolo shook off the pain and stopped his rapid descent.

The Namek regained his flight and quickly returned to the science group. “I am alright,” Piccolo reassured. “But we are not alone. Stay here and hold on as tight as possible. I will deal with this.”

The climbers looked at one another. Hal said, “It’s not like any of us can go anywhere.”

“Don’t be a smart ass, Hal,” he female scientist scolded.

Piccolo was unaware of the snide comment as his focus was kept on the peaks above. He continued to fly upward to meet with his would-be attacker.

The elder Namekian warrior flew high above to the peak of the mountain. As he slowed his ascent he could finally make out what exactly was causing such disturbances for the climbers. In this particular case, whom.

“I was not expecting to encounter a pair of androids today,” Piccolo spoke sternly as he stared at his attackers. Two androids, dressed in black leather uniforms sat patiently near the tip of the gigantic rock formation. One male and one female, both covered head to toe in officer’s apparel. Both of them giggled to themselves after seeing the Namekian.

“Well were weren’t planning to kill a space slug today either,” the female android laughed. “But I guess this day is full of surprises.” The dangerous duo continued to chuckle.

“Insults,” Piccolo’s eyes narrowed. “Cute. Well, I am giving you both a chance to run away before I decide to turn you both into scrap metal.”

The male android laughed loudly, “Do you hear this?” He turned towards his feminine comrade. “The “mighty KING” Piccolo offering us mercy?! You weren’t kidding, sweetheart. This day IS full of surprises.” The Namekian’s reputation proceeded him. Years ago he would have just dealt with these two noir clothing lovers without hesitation. But ever since he fused with Kami the Namekian had a generous inclination.

“If you know me than you should know that I have destroyed a good number of androids before,” Piccolo continued to try and back up his previous warnings. “I have no problem adding two more.”

“Well, despite being “graced” with your presence,” the female said sarcastically. “We can’t just up and leave. Not after we have beaten those humans down there into red paste.”

The Namekian raised an eyebrow. “These scientists prove no threat to you or your Black Bow Army,” Piccolo explained. “They are not worth both of you dying for.”

“First off, no. Neither of us are dying today, Namekian,” the male android sternly retorted. “Secondly, you couldn’t be any more wrong. The Black Bow can’t have any equipment lingering around that can detect us, especially in Red Ribbon country. You understand?”

“So neither of you are going to walk away?” Piccolo asked.

The Black Bow couple stood up. The male began to crack his fingers while the female dusted the snow off of her black longcoat. “We are going to walk away after you and those filthy humans are dead in a ditch.”

“Well then,” Piccolo sighed before cracking his neck and lowering himself into a fighting position. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

The two androids dashed towards Piccolo. The black dressed male spun in the air and prepared an axe kick to slam upon the Namekian. The female held out her hand, looking to grab Piccolo. He had recognized the posture before, with his battle against Android 20 also known as Doctor Gero. She is almost certainly an energy absorbing android type. If she manages to get a grip on Piccolo, he could be severely weakened.

Piccolo dropped down to avoid the spinning boot the male threw at him while keeping his eyes locked on the other android. As she came in close to him Piccolo strafed around her and snagged her hand. As he had her locked in a side grapple, Piccolo had only moments before either she would grab with her opposite hand or her partner would assist her. Piccolo gripped his opposite hand tightly and gave a series of rapid punches to the side of the woman's head.

The male android's yell was easy to hear. It was a brash and novice tactic to scream and notify your opponent where you are. These androids must have forgotten that living beings of flesh and blood can't detect them. The android was making it easy for Piccolo to plan ahead and throw the woman at him.

The female collided with her compatriot in the air, knocking them away from the peak of the mountain. Regaining their bearings, the pair of Black Bow androids split up their formation. The male flew up high above Piccolo while the female continued to reach furiously at the Namek warrior.

Piccolo continued to dodge at her swipes and grabs. She was easy to read for the experienced fighter, especially one such as Piccolo. Her movements would be a breeze for him to dodge if it wasn’t for the added difficulty of the android’s partner hovering in the air. The Black Bow male began to rain down a barrage of photon bolts upon Piccolo. The Namek’s hands snapped quickly and grabbed both wrists of the energy absorbing android.

The green extraterrestrial spun around his captured prey and held her out. She made for the perfect body shield for Piccolo to use against them. The powerful ki blasts came falling down upon them. The female android’s body became riddled with pink photon beams tearing up her obsidian uniform. The woman yelled curse words as she took the brunt of the attack. Piccolo could see that neither of them had a strong sense of teamwork or cooperation.

The energy absorbing android Piccolo grappled managed to shake herself free. Her flying comrade became fed up with the situation and dashed towards Piccolo in rage. His female counterpart turned and attempted to blast the Namek with twin energy rays that emanated from her eyes. Quickly vanishing in a blur of zanzoken, Piccolo reappeared at the woman's side. Tightening the muscles in his arm, Piccolo slashed his open hand down upon her wrists, lobbing off her hands in quick succession. Her expression went straight into shock.

"You! You son of a..." she gasped. "You cut off my hands, you green bastar--!" Before she could finish, Piccolo had his open hand placed in front of her face. The fingers of his opposite hand coiled around his tense wrist.

Piccolo whispered three words stern fully, "Explosive Demon Wave." A flash of violent yellow light exploded from his palm and engulfed the female android. A sonic boom roared out hailing the destruction of the Namekian warrior's opponent. Her comrade stopped in mid-flight in fear.

"What did you do?!" he yelled at Piccolo. The last Black Bow android cursed a wave of swear words at Piccolo before turning to retreat. Before he could get far, Piccolo appeared over the android's shoulder.

"Who said you could leave now?" Piccolo asked rhetorically before striking the android furiously with an overhead sledgehammer attack. The android screamed as he was pounded downward the distant ground. The Black Bow officers fell right past the Capsule Corporation climbing expedition team as he fell down to Earth.

"You already had a chance to run away! You will not get a second from me!" the Namekian yelled echoing off the mountain. Piccolo zoomed after the android to make sure he wouldn't recover from this. As the android fell, he tried to regain his hold on hovering in the air, but it was too late. Piccolo had already caught up to the Black Bow officer.

The Namekian warrior began to unleash an aerial combo attack, striking the android multiple times as he spun around his opponent. It was almost as if the android was swallowed up by a green vortex of punches and kicks. Piccolo's strikes began to break the android's joints apart, shattering him into various pieces. To ensure the android would not recover nor send word back to his superiors, Piccolo opened his mouth and fired a massive yellow beam from his throat, disintegrating the remains of the last Black Bow android of the encounter.

Afterwards Piccolo returned back to the climbers and escorted them for the remainder of their expedition. The Namekian couldn't chance just leaving these innocent humans unprotected to chance.
