So this is the fabled Ox Kingdom? I must say, the humans must have low expectations on what a kingdom is. The Capitol of the kingdom is nothing but a small village and a castle off in the distance. Although they at least picked a nice place to put this town. And the name is short and easy for anyone to remember. Humans tend to have a habit of over complicating things when they don't have to, so that's actually a more impressive accomplishment then it seems to be a first glance. I wonder what that word means though? It doesn't have an equivalent in my language and I haven't heard of it until now. Must have been in the non-essential list of words I studied when learning about humans. Oh well, I can find out what it means later.

Nyx was walking through the village, wearing one of her trademark multiple color dresses. That along with her dual-colored hair made her stand out everywhere she went, and she didn't particularly care that she was turning head and getting strange looks. Although this Nyx considered the attention strange considering that she wasn't even the strangest thing in the village. If they were going to stare at anything, it would be at all the towns and villages that had seemingly grew out of the ground one night.

Nyx had been visiting the Libraries of the major cities on her off time, the archives of books being a keen interest of hers. While the technology that stored most of their information was almost non-existent, the way they catalogued and sorted their information was surprisingly efficient.

After spending a few days on Earth, Nyx still couldn't decide if humans were among the most idiotic beings in existence, or secretly geniuses worthy of being paired with the likes of the most brilliant minds in the universe. On the one hand, humans performed such strange actions such shocking themselves with an electric current with a device they called a taser, and then for some inexplicable reason recorded it and shared it with everyone they could.

But then she would come across a stroke of unexpected brilliance on their part. She was impressed with how they organized their books. The Dewey Decimal System used numbers to sort their books. Combined with how they labeled each book by the author, and if was easy for Nyx to find whatever needed. To her surprise, she found that the majority of the population didn't even use this system, which was completely mind boggling to Nyx.

I don't understand these creatures. They invent a perfectly logical, easy to remember number organization system, and then just ignore it. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that they built elevators hundreds of stories high and then just climbed up the cable in the shaft. Why do humans have this strange, backwards way of thinking? Investigating quite possibly the most backwards human action that had been committed in the history of the human race. In addition to discovering the archives of books at the library, she also discovered the Internet, which was a large archive of data that circulated around the entire planet. Without being a member of the library though, her time on the internet was limited each day. Unlike many of the humans though, she used it solely for gathering information. She often searched using terms that would potentially give results on some of the more interesting encounters in her adventures on Earth. The Sorceress and the strange beings around her was a prime source of interest for Nyx. Of course they wouldn't report it like that, but it would be easy to track her down since she wasn't exactly subtle about her activities.

It was using the internet that she had stumbled on one of the most amazing things she had ever encountered in her life. It was so amazing that Nyx thought it was just some large-scale hoax at first. Eventually too many credible sources of information all said the same thing though: A kingdom that had fallen apart years ago had just reappeared overnight. Nyx even went and read old history texts dedicated it, this so called Ox Kingdom. Nyx had to find out how this occurred. All the logical explanations she had come up with were almost unbelievable ideas that would all be of use for her if they really did exist. As she explored the village, she thought about some of those ideas.

Could the humans really have achieved something along the lines of Molecular Manipulation, and manipulated matter around them to recreate the kingdom? No, there's no possible way that the humans could have done such a task. If they had then they wouldn't still be a level 3 civilization. It would easy make them one of the most powerful races in the universe. Almost no one would be able to contend with them if they were capable of such a feat. None of the top scientists in the Dominus Alliance have even gone past the theory stage of molecular manipulation on this scale. Most examples only involve one specific form of matter though. To recreate something to this degree, how did they do it? I must know!

Nyx turned to looked at her companion, the red haired Saiyan who went by the name of Mizuna. Mizuna was easily the best thing that had happened to her in a long time. She had known her for only a short time and already Mizuna was proving to be one of the most loyal allies that she had in her entire life. Even the majority of her Solari, her honor guard didn't get as much trust from her as Mizuna had managed to get.

"Is it just me Mizuna, or does this not make any sense to you either? The humans seemed to have invented some sort of device that can create matter, and they use it to rebuild an old long dead kingdom? I can think of hundreds of things to do with a machine like that off the top of my head that seem like a better use of time then what they did use it for. They could easily advance their race to new heights with such technology, and they just use it for only this? Humans are a strange species that take two steps back for every step they take forward."

"When your world has a sky that's red like blood and every where except the palace is a barren wasteland full of ruined, burned out buildings that wear the scars of five decade-old war, every where is a thing to be in awe of. But still...restoring a Kingdom like this...I don't think a machine did this, Nyx." the braided red-head chimed in, remarking that this was not the handiwork of a machine. Mizuna, the red-headed girl who wore her hair in a long braid that came down past her waist, ending in something resembling a lion's tail, wore an attire that was akin to the type of uniform a private high school student might wear; a red blazer over a white button-up blouse tucked into a pleated black skirt with a red line running around the edge in a horizontal line.

It still felt a bit weird to Mizuna to be walking without a tail but for the most part, she had gotten used to placing her center of gravity around her hips rather than the tail. As a result, her walk had a more feminine quality to it than it previously would have. Still, while she had a rough kind of prettiness to her with the messy top half of her hair do and the rough lion-tail end of her braid, Nyx was her contrast. Graceful and the very picture of nobility, she seemed to carry her way in such a refined, high class way. It wasn't exactly a stark contrast to her own petite figure, but Nyx definitely had a subtle set of curves that the red-haired Saiyan could really appreciate. But, of course - there was more to this Sigerian - Saiyan union than Mizuna's raging teenage Saiyan hormones.

Nyx was just as smart as she was beautiful and despite having been initially obtuse and cold towards Mizuna, the fire of the passionate Saiyan who was fiercely determined on making friends with the Sigerian girl had melted some of the ice surrounding the dual-colour haired girl's heart and earned an insurmountable amount of trust. Icarus was a good friend, sure, but he was more of a mentor figure who she caused trouble for in a cheeky fashion with her easy-going happy go lucky disposition and the purple-haired wonder she had rescued from dying of thirst out in the wilderness and brought to the door step of Capsule Corp wasn't someone she had kept in touch with and Daci was more of a rival - there wasn't the spark there that she felt with Nyx.

It was probably bold of her to think so, but she felt like among people who were of the living, Nyx was the closest she'd come to having a real friend in such a long time of her own gender. It was like she was travelling with Lettu and Sala again. But that wasn't the only thing giving her a kind of warmth that spread from the center of her power to the rest of her body. There was something about the soil here, something in the air perhaps. It was something she felt rather than something she could see and for some reason, it was making her smile. Probably because the ki signature felt so familiar and yet so different to her. "Oh I see...this is his ki. The Saiyan called Son Gokuu. It's weird...I wouldn't expect to feel such a gentle yet strong ki from a Saiyan. I heard he'd soared way above the wall of Super Saiyan so...just...it's such a rough transformation triggered by rage...so I didn't think it was possible for a Super Saiyan's ki to feel this warm and nurturing." she wrapped her arms around her own waist, basking in the gentle texture of the ki.

Of course, the dialogue she'd spouted was mostly her talking to herself, but she didn't mind if Nyx heard either. "This Kingdom has such a supportive Saiyan ki surrounding it, but I don't think we should let our guard down, Nyxxie. We ARE outsiders, after all and there are probably ridiculously strong fighters here." she wasn't able to hide the excitement in her voice, or the feeling that maybe there had been some sort of mystical magic used to restore such a luxurious Kingdom to it's former glory. But still, she did agree with the sentiment that Nyx voiced. It was strange that they would re erect a Kingdom that had once fallen, not that she was that knowledgeable about the aforementioned Ox Kingdom, but since she could feel the remainder of some of that Son Gokuu Saiyan's ki in the air, she came to the conclusion that this must have been a wonderful place.

"It doesn't make sense if you think it's technology of some sort, Nyxxie, but if you consider the option of ancient magic...which I'm sure even the humans have some myths about in their culture, then it might make more sense. Still - if I had that kind of power...I'd..." she stopped herself right there, her eyes reflecting on the obvious circumstances of the past. It was laughable that a Saiyan warrior like her would even wish for the kind of things she dared to hope for, but it was the strong set of values she had been raised with. She was told to never turn her back on a friend and in her mind, that was the worst and most dishonourable thing anyone - warrior or not - could do.

The act of abandoning a friend in need.

By that accord, Nyx was one of the most wonderful things that had happened to her on this planet. She had shown some of her more disgraceful traits to the dual-colour haired girl and instead of turning her back to the tormented Super Saiyan, she had stayed by her side and supported her in her time of need. If that wasn't a friend, then Mizuna wasn't sure what else it could be. Catching up with Nyx, she quietly linked fingers with her. "Yeah. They're strange, for sure. But not in a bad way - these...humans have their good points too and without my tail...I may as well be considered the same as them." she couldn't help but laugh at the irony. Because her hair colour wasn't exactly common among full blooded Saiyans and because of her fierce loyalty to her friends, not to mention the compassion she was more than capable of showing, she knew that she was considered a disgraceful Saiyan, if not practically an Earthling.

Videl sighed to herself quietly as she looked over the forms and such she in front of her, which was basically about request for funds and the like when the descendants of Ox Kingdom descendants had proceeded to move back into their territory after scattering across the four winds and settling in other places. Thankfully, they had a lot of funding with the restoration of the Ox Kingdom and the fortune Gohan and her had found a while ago. Right now, though, the places around their territory needed plenty of funding to help them get back on their feet, and she needed to send them some.

The new Ox Princess sat on one of the designated thrones that had been added to the newly restored Ox Castle, and was hard at work with her duties. She couldn't train as much as she normally could all day every day like she used to, as she had important governmental issues to take care of since her and her husband had taken over as day-to-day runners of the Ox Kingdom. She was a bit bummed about that, but she didn't complain about it. Complaining about it wouldn't really help her at all, not one bit.

She cracked her neck a bit and continued to look over her documents for the moment, when her attention was grabbed by one of the villagers running in and bowing to her. "Lady Videl, two unknown women have shown up in the village! No one knows who they are or what they want, what should we do?!" said the villager, which caused Videl to raise an eyebrow up. She wasn't sure why this required her own advice, since they were bound to get people to investigate the restoration of the Ox Kingdom when it mysteriously popped up fully intact after their wish.

However, as she thought about it some more, she realized that she should probably handle this herself. If she showed that there was someone handling the ruling and governing of the newly restored Ox Kingdom, it would open things up a bit more for investigation and reintegration in the governmental system of Earth. Dealing with some potential tourists was a small time thing, and she was sure that she could answer most of the questions that someone might have on how the Ox King was restored. So, with a decision in mind, she nodded her head, and spoke up to the villager.

"I want to you to approach these tourists and ask them to come to the castle so I can speak to them. I had a feeling that when people learned about the restoration of the Ox Kingdom, people would come running to investigate. We'll be dealing with curious tourists for a while, so I'll make sure to talk to them. I'll let the guards know to let them in" Videl said to the villager, causing him to bow and hastily make his way back to the village to deliver the message. When that was done, the new Ox Princess looked down and went back to her forms and missives.

~Skip~

The villager approached the two women in a nervous manner. He wasn't exactly scared, as he wasn't aware of the kind of power the both of them possessed, the villagers of the Ox Kingdom were generally countrified folk that mostly kept to themselves, so they tended to be a bit wary of outsiders. When he got close to them, he cleared his throat for a moment, and proceeded to bow his head in greeting to the two women in the hopes that he grabbed their attention. Once he felt he had done so, he started speaking to to the females.

"I assume you're here to learn more about the restoration of the Ox Kingdom. The Ox Princess has been informed of your arrival, and has requested you both to head up to the castle and learn more about it, if that's what you're actually here for. Sorry to trouble you both, good day" he said in a nervous manner, before he bowed to them once more, and proceeded to race off. He sighed to himself in relief when he got a fair distance from them, and immediately went back to his daily routine in the village.

Nyx looked over at Mizuna with a skeptical expression. Sometimes Nyx couldn't understand her new friend, even if they were getting to know each other rather quickly.

"Mizuna, we Sigerians have a definition for Magic that is the true essence of the word. Magic is simply what a species call something when they can't explain it using all other methods they have. It's either a device or an ability, and I doubt it's the latter. A long time ago I was on a exploration mission in the Lankea sector of the Galaxy. I was the head of a research party sent to conduct research on the Nomians, a species who had recently reached a tipping point in their development and were building small cities. They were developing at a much faster rate then we originally predicted, so the main objective was to find out why their growth accelerated so much." Nyx paused for a moment, shaking her head side to side briefly as she recalled that particular memory.

"It turned out that a group of Lumians had landed there and had assumed control of the Nomians. The Lumians were going through a civil war with multiple factions at the time, so it was fairly obvious they were using a much more primitive species to build their ships, weapons, and to fight along side them. They convinced the Lumians that they were Gods by showing off their "magic" to them. They could turn invisible, fire energy beams, create illusions among other things. To a primitive species like the Nomians, beings that could do that were God-like. In reality, Lumians just manipulate photons to perform such techniques. Photons are particles of electromagnetic radiation. Light is one form of the radiation a photon contains. So simply put the Luminians were manipulating light to perform those feats. There was nothing at all magic or supernatural about how their abilities were performed."

Nyx sometimes forgot that she was talking to a Saiyan who wouldn't understand things like Photons. Nyx didn't think Saiyans were just a bunch of brainless monkeys anymore. Quite the contrary, her interactions with Nyx and Daci had convinced her that Saiyans were more intelligent then other beings gave them credit for.

Unfortunately for the Saiyans, their primary interests involved battling, food, or procreation. They simply didn't care about science or research outside of spaceships and pods that could take them to other planets. As a result, there was a big gap in their knowledge when it came to understanding the fundamentals on how the universe operated. Nyx was going to have to be patient and explain things to Mizuna without coming across as condescending. She didn't want to insult the only friend she had.

Nyx had sensed the energy around them as well. It certainly was more warm then most Ki signatures she had encountered. Nyx was hardly surprised at this point when Mizuna told her that this aura belonged to a Super Saiyan. Was there something about Earth that made it easier for Saiyans to reach that transformation? Her people had found no evidence of that ability within the Saiyan Army or population in general.

"If there's one thing I've learned from you, it's to always have your guard up around a Saiyan, even if they're your ally. Putting that aside though, this makes it 3 Super Saiyans that I've either interacted with or know about. You mentioned how much of an achievement it is to reach that form, yet the majority of the Saiyans I know by name are capable of using it. Perhaps it isn't as unique as your legends have suggested."

The context on how she delivered that line suggested that she was teasing Mizuna, although her calm, deadpan delivery made it hard for anyone to telling she was. Nyx and Mizuna were then approached by one of the villagers, who told them that the princess of the realm was waiting for them. Nyx and Mizuna started to make their way towards the distant castle, taking their time and taking in the sights of the village and the surrounding mountains.

"Going by how that man addressed us, this place is much more civilized then it looks. He showed the proper amount of respect and we were invited to the rulers castle. I was sure that we were either going to have to negotiate or show off our abilities to gain access to the castle, but they were kind enough to invite us in. Humans definitely have their good points. There's still much that I don't understand about them though. I'll learn more about them given enough time, of course."

Posted Image

Nyx blushed lightly as she felt Mizuna's fingers link with her own, closing her hand and holding onto the Saiyan gently. Physical contact was something that Nyx was not used to, and was something she would have punished anyone for who ever tried to touch her. Nyx found that it was pleasant when Mizuna did it though. It was comforting to her, and enjoyed it whenever it happened. Nyx liked the feeling so much that she didn't even fly towards the castle: she was content to slowly walk there holding onto Mizuna.

Mizuna felt she knew that look. Yes, it was a skeptical look like Nyx was trying to guess what kind of drugs the red-haired Saiyan might have been on, but she was always happy to listen to Nyx talk about her people.

Posted Image

Mizuna bawled both of her hands up into tightly wound fists, her eyes burning with enthusiasm for the story time that was a particular memory for Nyx - a memory that her dual-coloured haired friend had decided to share with her. It was more than likely a lot of the technical details would be lost on the Saiyan, but she had enough consideration and respect for Nyx's past and her culture that she kept her gaze fixated on her.

It was a tale about a time that Nyx had been part of a research party sent to conduct research on a species called the Nomians. Naturally, due to Mizuna's lack of exposure to the wider galaxy in a universally positive fashion, she had not heard of them. The main thrust, as Mizuna understood it, behind the story was to correct her somewhat childish belief that there was a kind of mystical, ancient magic at work with the restoration of this particular kingdom and that the Lumians decided to entertain a juvenile fantasy of being Gods to a species that had been less informed or gifted than they were.

The technical stuff aside, Mizuna was able to understand one species using misinformation or misconceptions to their advantage at the expense of another. Mizuna understood that for someone whose species was prided on handling information of all kinds to their advantage, her childish notions of magic on top of her inherent Saiyan interests might be something of a bother sometimes, but Nyx had been patient with her and that spoke well to her.

As far as Saiyan interests went, Mizuna had the first two down pat. She loved to fight strong and unique fighters. It was always a chance to test her abilities, although previously in her life, killing was also something she both partook and reveled in, certain events had changed her opinion on that. She still loved fighting but it was less malicious than it had previously been. There was also her love of food. Back on planet Vegeta, food was mostly shipped in from the outposts that were established on conquered worlds, sent to their meat processing sector where a special brand of reject Saiyans did their part for the planet.

There were of course, other sections of their planet that were formed in the later years since freeing themselves from the oppressive thumb of Lord Frieza. It seemed that there were Saiyans who somehow got the idea that because there were 'alternatives' to the standard Saiyan life style, that it was okay to be a Saiyan without a love for combat. Although, there were some Saiyans for whom the idea of a brothel appealed greatly to. It was, of course, dressed up as a means of breeding, but in truth it was just a gigantic whore house.

Mizuna had heard the stories from Lettu, including the ones about slaves brought from off world. It wasn't anything that appealed to Mizuna, since for most aspects, she was no different from the average Saiyan warrior; she loved fighting, she loved food and she had all the carnal desires that would be expected of a teenager, though perhaps not in the way her parents would be happy about if they ever found out.

She was a bit of an oddball about the whole mating thing. Mizuna had never really given much thought to WHY she was attracted to her other best friend at the time, Sala. She had assumed it was just because she was pretty and carried an air of grace about her and happened to be receptive of Mizuna's affections.

"Yeah. Planet Vegeta has a few legends and unsurprisingly, they're all old. It looks like the Super Saiyan legend is also outdated. Maybe it's more of a rarity to surpass that form? Maybe there's some pinnacle to the Super Saiyan form?"

She was unable to pick up that she was being teased, but when her little chit chat with Nyx was interrupted by a messenger, she gave him one fierce glare that may as well have been the same as saying, 'Yeah yeah - deliver your message and be gone, before I get angry.' The glare seemed to work. Mizuna watched the messenger boy scamper off somewhere else, which suited her just fine. After all, she was already holding hands with Nyx and enjoying a slow walk towards the castle without much of a care in her mind. Whoever it was that was waiting for them would just have to wait!

Any time spent with her new best friend, Nyx, was far more important than some boring formality. If there was a feast already prepared for her and Nyx and they didn't have to pay for it, on the other hand, then that would definitely have been a reason to rush to the castle, but because she found the warmth of Nyx's hand to be pleasant and comforting, she didn't feel inclined to rush.

"Your hand is so soft and warm, Nyxxie. It always feels so nice so I can't help but latch onto it." Mizuna had this odd little habit of saying whatever was on her mind, no matter how embarrassing or mushy it sounded. Seeing a myriad of emotions display on Nyx's face was always a moment of happiness for the red-haired Saiyan. But every festival, no matter how fun, had to come to an end and when they arrived in front of the guarded door, the guards seemed to just allow them to pass.

"Guess our answers are inside."

Mizuna was impatient to get their visit out of the way with; she had her own inquiries to make of course, but she didn't want to spend any time around what should have been a ghost town any longer than she had to, so she was of course eager to step inside with Nyx's hand in her own, making her way inside to speak to whoever wanted to speak to them.

Videl was informed by the guards that the two tourists were on their way to her throne room, and so she sighed and sat back in her throne, waiting for them to show up while she looked over some documents. She could tell by the power signatures that they were warriors of some kind. She could tell when someone was holding, so while she didn't know how strong they both were, she could still sense they had more power than they were displaying at this moment. Narrowing her eyes, she stiffened when the two tourists had entered the throne room.

The first of them, a girl with both white and black hair, looked very analytical, calm, and patient, and this caused Videl to narrow her eyes in curiosity. It was quite apparent that this girl was the thinking type. Although not like Gohan, she could tell when someone had intelligence, and this girl clearly had some intelligence. She was a thinker of some kind, but she had some level of power, she could just feel it. Sure, she expertly hid it quite well, if one didn't know how to tell when someone was suppressing one's power, one might never know until it was too late.

The other one was obviously a warrior, and by the hardness of her eyes, she had seen terrible things and been a part of so many battles. Eyes were like windows to the soul, they said, and Mizuna was someone that clearly had been in so many Battles. It was harder than the look that Gohan had in his own eyes, as his was filled with a wonderful innocence and kindness, but Mizuna's eyes seemed to be guarded and not wanting to give away what she was feeling. She had no doubt that the both could detect the power she was hiding.

She didn't like to hide it on the level the rest of Z-Fighters did, suppressing it completely that it fooled senses and the like. She suppressed her full power, but she still let enough of her own out to let those around her know that she was a fighter, and a damned good one at that. She had vastly improved over the years since had first began training as hard as Vegeta himself did these days, and she was proud of every ounce of power that she had managed to obtain, even more so now that she had Kaio-Ken.

"I knew it was only a matter of time before the Ox Kingdom would start having curious folk come to our lands and investigate it's sudden restoration, but it is quite curious that I find two people who obviously have some kind of level of Ki Training on my lands. I am Son, Videl, and I am the Ox Princess. I hope you don't mind if I cut right to the chase and ask you both why you're so curious about the Ox Kingdom?" she asked them in a blunt manner, cracking her neck a bit as she shifted around in her chair. She cut right to the chase, getting right down to the heart of the matter after she introduced herself.

Nyx took in her surroundings as she entered the throne room, her head turning as she surveyed the castle. It was a very old style structure, with modern and old decor mixed together. This place certainly showcased the amount of wealth and power that the rulers of this kingdom had. The structure itself was made of a material that her people had stopped using a long time ago, although she had to admit the architecture was very interesting. This castle was essentially just a well designed model home to Nyx: she was sure that there were beings who loved studying old structures, but she wasn't one of them.

In any case, one of the main rulers of the kingdom was now before them, inquiring into why they had come here. Normally the monarch in charge of their kingdom wouldn't go out and greet travelers. Nyx figured that she made an exception here for two reasons. She and Nyx seemed to be among the first of the outsiders to arrive there, so answering questions directly while keeping an eye on them was the smart move to do. There was no doubt that there would be a good amount of people who would snoop around, gathering information for nefarious purposes.

The second reason was probably because she sensed them coming. Nyx was sure she could sense energy due to the amount she could sense coming from Videl. She was clearly human, but the amount of power she had was ridiculous. And if was clear she was hiding more power, if what Nyx was sensing was correct.

I've never heard of anything like this before. Members of a race typically have a similar level of power. It varies from race to race sometimes, and there are ones who unfortunate to get less power and prodigies that are exceptions to the rule. But Humans are just all over the place in strength. The majority of the population has almost non-existent Ki, and yet has members this strong. A race that doesn't know about Ki shouldn't produce fighters like this.

Nyx kept a stoic expression on her face the whole time. Fortunately encountering abnormally high power levels on this planet was no longer completely shocking her. It was then that something clicked in Nyx's head. Videl's last name was Son, and Mizuna had said that the first Super Saiyan in recent memory was Son Goku. There had to be some sort of connection here.

She must have a connection with him to some degree. She's married to someone related to him, that much is clear. Could it be that the humans who have an abnormal amount of power have been getting training from strong beings that do know how to use Ki? That would explain the abnormalities amount the population. Even so, humans have naturally low power levels, so this human would have been born with an amount of energy similar to the rest of her race. She can't evolve at will like a Sigerian or obtain a transformation like a Saiyan though. Hard far did she push herself to reach this level?

One thing was becoming very clear: humans had a tenacity that seemed to be rivaled only by a Saiyans. Although their respective tenacity was driven by different motivations. Saiyans loved to fight, so their motivations usually revolved around battling with some motivations like revenge being attached to them sometimes. Humans had many different believes and fought for different reasons, which was why they were so divided as a species. They fought as hard as they could, pushed themselves to hell and beyond for whatever cause they believed in, which was both one of their biggest strengths and greatest weaknesses.

This is why my kind never directly interfered with weaker species like Humans. Advancing them by teaching them about Ki is a dangerous prospect. You could be creating your own worst enemy in the future if you take those actions. Nyx put those thoughts aside, focusing on the hear and now. She let go of Mizunas hand and bowed her head in respect of the monarch.

"Well met Videl of the Ox Kingdom. I am Nyx, and this is my companion Mizuna. We came here because we're curious about your kingdom. It's quite a marvel to look at. In fact, it's a miracle that such a large and prosperous kingdom can appear overnight. I'm curious if a miracle such as this could be replicated on a more larger scale."

Nyx glanced over at Mizuna briefly, hoping that she wouldn't get too excited. Videl was a strong fighter after all, so it was possible Mizuna would be tempted to fight here. Nyx wasn't sure if even both of them together could take her on: in this case, it was imperative that democratic negotiations didn't break down.

Mizuna wasn't so different from Nyx in the way that she entered the room, but she wasn't taking in her surroundings to admire the architecture. To be completely honest, she really didn't care for the architecture in the same way that Nyx did. How well modern and old decor mixed together was of little concern to her, what interested her was how sturdy the room was and where the potential ambush routes were. If there was going to be trouble, she wanted to know where it could potentially come from. Running, of course, wasn't an option in her mind. No matter the enemy who came, she would fight them.

Back home on Planet Vegeta, The King whom the planet was named after, really only met with people that were either important or scheduled to meet with him. Travelers and the like rarely, if ever, merited King Vegeta himself meeting with them - hell, people low in the ranks of the army seldom earned an audience with him, unless they had done something very serious and if they had, it was never a good sign. She'd heard of low class Saiya-jin getting executed just because they had displeased his royal highness and argued against his word.

The human before her gave off a lower power than her King, but she was still a very strong fighter in her own right. No doubt, the reason they were being met like this was because they had been sensed miles off and garnered considerable concern, she had probably discerned that they weren't just simple tourists, or at least, that Mizuna was not here for the sight-seeing. The moment Nyx's hand left her own, Mizuna began masking her feelings, giving the pig-tailed woman a short nod, concealing her hands within the pockets of her skirt.

This woman...she wears his family name? Maybe I can find something here after all. Still, Nyx - you didn't have to bow to her. Humans that can use ki aren't all that strange; not since the central library stores a book on ki control by a Son Gohan. Kakarotto's kin, no doubt.

Mizuna masked the seriousness in her eyes by falling into the usual cheerful and carefree demeanor she carried herself with, "Yo. I'm looking for the Super Saiyan called Son Gokuu, Miss Videl." Mizuna spoke semi-casually, seeing no need to be overly formal with the woman. Human tenacity did not surprise Mizuna as much as it might have surprised her Sigerian friend. Humans were similar to Saiyans in that if they wanted something, they pushed themselves until they were able to take it and then they took it with ther own two hands.

This is probably why King Vegeta hasn't touched this place yet. Other than because the Prince is taken with these people - this woman is bloody strong. Must be one of those martial artists. Wait a minute...haven't I seen her face somewhere before? Mizuna recalled a time there was an advert showing on one of those big television screens connected to a tall building in the middle of Satan City. Something about a fighting tournament, there was a big stocky guy there with a ridiculous Afro and a silly mustache.

"Now that I look closely...I think I've seen you before. You were on a big screen with a guy who had an Afro. A really big Afro. I'm a little bit curious about the Kingdom, but upon coming here, I felt the power of the Super Saiyan, Son Gokuu. He was here, in this location at one point. I want to know where I can find him. It's Saiyan business." the change was a lot easier nowadays. Hell, it was like breathing; she opened her eyes and they were an aqua green, and in almost a blink of an eye and the twitch of every muscle in her body - a small grunt passing her lips as the golden aura wrapped around her, the top part of her fiery red hair collecting into golden spikes, her bangs parting. Mizuna was never someone to hide things or lie, and she saw no reason to be ashamed of being a Saiyan.

Shame was the opposite of what she felt about being a Saiyan, or even a Super Saiyan. Rather than an angry blaze like it was before, her aura just gently licked at the air around her, the golden tips of her hair waving back and forth. "As you can see, I have the blood of a warrior race flowing through my people. My name is Mizuna and I'm a Saiyan from Planet Vegeta, and before you ask; no, I'm not affiliated with the army. I'm here as her friend, traveling companion and bodyguard." she motioned a thumb towards Nyx.

Her hands were still in her pockets, her aqua green eyes darting about the room, an intensity in them that wasn't hostile. She was still on her guard, it was hard to feel 'at ease' when she was transformed, however. There was always a feeling of stress that the form put on her heart. She thought that if she met with Son Gokuu, she might be able to learn how to erase that feeling, figuring it was a good step towards gaining a greater sense of control over her powers - as it was, she was still a danger to Nyx and she did not want that.

"Question number one," she had a serious look on her face as she leaned forward, then her stomach roared something loud, the sound echoing off the wall and she burst out into giggles, the Super Saiyan form dropping."Do you have anything to eat?! I'm bloody starving!" politics and any talk about heavy topics ranked below several things in the red-haired Saiyan's mind, but in particular, fighting strong opponents, eating delicious foods and her friends came before everything else.

There was no mistaking the curiosity about how the Ox Kingdom had been reestablished in her mind, but right now she was hungry and that meant that finding food was her top priority. Hopefully their host had enough food.

The warrior of the two addressed her first, acting rater casually about their meeting. She supposed that the girl just wasn't a very formal person, which was fine with her as she wasn't much a fan of the stuffy formality with being a Royal, anyway. When she heard that the one known as wanted to find Son Goku, her crystal blue eyes hardened over a bit in caution. Due to all of the people over the years who wanted Goku dead, after Gohan explained in detail about all of the enemies he had made, she was apprehensive about giving out his location to strangers.

Mizuna started scrutinizing her closely, looking as if she had seen Videl somewhere before. Wondering why she was so curious, the daughter of the 'World Savior' stayed quiet for now and let her analyze her. She'll speak when she was ready, she just seemed like she was searching for something. She didn't have to wait long, though, as the redheaded Saiyan had said that she recalled her over some kind of ad on TV, and when she described the man Videl was with in the ad, she knew that Mizuna had seen one of her Dad's usual ads.

"Yeah, the man with the Afro and mustache is my Dad, Hercule Satan. He's the 24th Tenkaichi Budokai winner, and hailed as the World Savior. My Dad is as goofy in real life as he is on TV, but he's very strong for a non-Ki-Trained Human" Videl informed Mizuna about her Dad. The conversation had quickly swapped over when the redhead had mentioned trying to find Son Goku again, but her eyes obtained a bit of clarity that could very easily be seen by the two aliens at the mention of it being Saiyan business that she needed to find him.

She stiffened up when she felt a build up of Ki come from Mizuna, and watched as she ascended to Super Saiyan state. The Saiyan girl had openly spilled that she was from Planet Vegeta, but was not affiliated with the army and was only here as a friend to the other girl. Although a bit suspicious, she had no reason to distrust either of them without proof, so she started deducing to herself that Mizuna probably wanted to see Goku for something else other than to kill him, perhaps maybe for training or something else of that particular nature.

"If I act under the assumption that you seek him out for something that isn't malicious in nature, I have no reason to keep that information from you. Son Goku tends to train close to Fire Mountain, at a place called Mt. Paozu, which is where he and his side of the family had lived for many years. I've been busy training with my husband, so it's been a while since I've seen him. He might be there if he's not here or at Capsule Corp with Vegeta. You could also try Kame House, which is located on a very small island to the South West" Videl informed Mizuna, giving her the benefit of the doubt over why she wanted to see him.

Then, just like that, the conversation was done with, and Mizuna had asked if there would be any food. Raising an eyebrow, she summoned a servant from a side room and had requested them to head to the kitchens and inform the chefs to prepare enough food for a feast, since they would likely be having a Saiyan to feed. When the servant was dismissed, Videl's request was pretty much all that needed to be said as far as the question for food that Mizuna asked went. She then turned to look at Nyx, and raised an eyebrow at the formal way she was greeted.

When Nyx asked the serious question about the miracle of the Ox Kingdom being restored, wondering if such a thing could be replicated on a larger scale, Videl's eyes hardened over. She knew that she could not inform anyone unworthy of the Dragon Balls, lest they tempt less than savory characters to go after them, and as such she wasn't going to be very forthcoming with this information. She would need to obtain some information of her own before she would even think of just giving such information away to two strangers.

"Just call me Videl, I'm not a big fan of formalities. As for this miracle you're asking about, I require a bit more information on what exactly you want to do with this miracle before I think of telling you. Let's just say the method my husband and I used could lead to a lot of unsavory, downright vile people coming to try and use this method for themselves. Due to this, I tend to keep tight-lipped about the method you're talking about unless I know what the person asking wants to do, and whether or not they can be trusted to not abuse it for their own selfish ends. Let's just say the method can do MUCH more than just restore a Kingdom, and because of that, people as vile as Frieza, or even worse, could try and take it for themselves" she informed Nyx, informing them of this in a noticeably cautious manner.

Nyx didn't really particularly care about Videl's past or where Mizuna had seen her before. It was just more distraction from the moment at hand, which was finding out exactly what method was used to recreate the village. Unfortunately for Nyx, slightly getting the conversation off course wasn't the worst thing Mizuna did in this current situation. After showing off her Super Saiyan powers, Mizuna then proceeded to demand for food in one of the rudest series of events that Nyx had ever seen in her life. Nyx wanted to scream in frustration, but managed to keep the stoic expression on her face. Even more amazing was the fact that it actually worked. Videl had brought out who she could alone presume to be her cook in order to prepare a feast. Nyx was just relieved that it didn't turn out for the worst.

I knew that Mizuna doesn't exactly have good manners, but I'd never thought she'd be behave like she's talking like this to a monarch! We're lucky that this person is used to dealing with Saiyans, or this would have ended badly. I should have a talk with her about how to properly behave in certain situations. All thoughts of that were pushed aside once Videl mentioned Frieza though. Nyx's eyes narrowed the moment that Videl brought up Frieza. She had never met Frieza directly herself of course, but she knew of his kind. His race was the one responsible for the misery that her entire race had suffered through, and Frieza was know to be especially cruel and strong, even among his own kind.

"Don't put me in the same light as that monster. I know what him and the Planet Trade Organization do for a living. Although I concede that it will take more then words to prove to you that my intentions are along the same lines as Frieza's would be." Nyx took out a small device from her pocket, and ran a bit of ki from her arm into the device. It lite up, and holograms displaying text and small planets projected from the device.

"This Holomoire is a rather ingenious invention by my people, and has many functions to it that make it a very useful tool. While this device is capable of recording memories, I myself wasn't alive at the time the events I'm about to show you transpired. It's something that's ingrained into the memory of the Sigerian people at a young age though. We will never forget what happened all those years ago. Let me take you to the former homeworld of my people, Aurorias." Nyx put the device on the ground, and suddenly the whole landscape around them changed. They were no longer in the castle in the Ox Kingdom. They were on a frozen planet with snow falling from the sky. They were standing on the outskirts of a large city which was situated near a small cliff that overlooked a vast icy ocean. Overhead a large ship flew above them that appeared to have towers and spires on top of it not unlike the city they were looking at. Nyx extended her arm towards the city, presenting it in all its glory.

"Welcome to my homeworld as it was 3 Centracyles ago. Or about 400 years ago in Earth time. This is the city of Yukirost, our capitol city at the time. At the peak of Sigerian civilization, we had mastered space travel at a time period where humans didn't even know how to get off the ground and fly through the air. We had successful and benefitial relationships with other species, especially the Ignoids, who lived on a nearby planet to us. They were our biggest trade partner, and we trusted one another."
The scene shifted, and suddenly they were underneith a huge mass of ice that formed a partial-cave around them. Off in the distance, various ships flew around, flying over the icy landscape without any problems.

"These are the Froch caverns. It was a place many of my people went to whenever they wanted to meditate or just spend time alone from the others. It was also nearby one of our spaceports, so you could see spaceships come and go throughout the day. We had formed an equilibrium with our environment and our technology." Once again, the scene shifted to yet another location, this time, loverlooking a lake with small plateaus of ice rising up all around them. Their star was shining brightly, and what appeared to be their moon could be seen up in the sky as well. In the distance, a glowing blow structure of ice rose up from the ground.

Posted Image

"We never took more then what we needed from our planet, so it retained the beauty it always had before our industrialization period began. Our planet was inhabitable to most life forms, yet it was a wondrous site to behold. From the towering glaciers to the Blizia Trees of ice that grew on our planet." The scene shifted slightly so that they were in front of the growing structure of ice that was off in the distance. Indeed, it was growing out from under the ground like a tree.

Posted Image

"Our planet once had so many Bliza Trees. It was one of the reasons our planet and moon appeared to be glowing to anyone entering our system. We lived on a planet full of wonder and beauty. I'm sure that it must have been wonderful living in a place like this." Nyx reached out to try and touch the icy tree, but her hand passed right through the hologram. Nyx closed her eyes, bowing her head as the scene started to shift again.

"One day we made contact with the Changelings, Frieza's race. At first they seemed eager to simply trade like every other race we encountered. That only lasted for a single cycle though. It didn't take them long to show their true colors." The scene shifted back to the city of Yukirost. The city was now on fire, with laser fire and screams filling the air. Above the city was a alien that greatly resembled Frieza. It laughed as it charged up an energy ball and tossed it into the city, completely destroying it and everyone inside of it. Nyx took a deep breath as she tried to retain her cool.

"Our planet had a great deal of natural resources and valuables that were worthless to us, but other species considered valuable. We had vast deposits of gold, silver, diamonds. We also had many metals that were useful in constructing ships and various equipment. Once the Changlings realized how much resources we had, they decided that it would just be simpler to take our planet by force so they could have it to themselves. We made a last ditch effort to turn our mining equipment like plasma cutters into make shift weapons, but my people had never taken up arms before. Our allies were not strong enough to take on this threat either. So we fled from our system, running away as far as we could from those monsters." The scene faded away completely. Now they were back in Videl's castle. Nyx pointed to an area just above the Holomoire, and a planet and its moon appeared above it.

Posted Image

"This was Aurorias and our moon Borias back when we controlled our own planet. That all changed once the Changlings got control of it though." Another image of the planet popped up, although it had drastically change. There was little light left to the planet now and its moon was completely gone. There was nothing but huge clusters of what appeared to be rocks just orbiting the planet.

Posted Image

"We sent out probes from time and again to see what became of our planet. Since the planet was so uninhabitable, they just simply left it once they were done with it. They didn't see the value of owning it anymore after it was gone. They revenged our world, and even our moon. There was nothing left of Borias at all, and Aurorias was just a corpse of a planet. There was nothing left there for us other then pain and a world with no light." The Holomoire shut off, and Nyx opened her eyes and looked directly into Videl's.

Posted Image

"I want to restore my planet to its former glory. If what you say is true, if whatever method you used is as effective as you claim, then it might be possible to bring light back to my planet. Maybe my race would return home once that happens. And even if it doesn't, I can begin the long, slow process of rebuilding the Sigerian civilization myself. All I want to is go back to a home that I never experienced for myself. The elders of my people spoke of how serene a place it was to live on. I spent hours listening to their tales and studying the archives and records. It isn't the same as setting foot on that wonderful world. I have traveled the stars all my life, and never had a planet that I could call home." Nyx hoped that Videl would see her plight and at the very least feel a little bit of sympathy towards her. Even if she didn't tell them the secret right away, this would hopefully be a good start in finding out that precious information.
