Goten was surprised to see any of his attacks land on Gohan. It was clever for the decoy blast, but Goten would have thought Gohan would block everything somehow. He knew Gohan would attack, but not how the attack would come. Goten noticed Gohan jumped, so he quickly crossed his arms into an X, absorbing the kicks impact, but damage was clearly dealt.

The kicks power made Goten slide backwards five feet. He winced in pain for a brief moment, then looked towards his brother with a huge grin upon his face. "I'm no match for you and we both know it, Gohan." Goten then became serious. "How do I become stronger like you? I haven't been able to go Super Saiyan in years!! No matter how hard I try, or how hard I focus. I just cannot do it anymore." Goten then stood up straight, looking at Gohan. Anger and doubt filled Gotens mind, but he knew his brother would help him figure things out.

The fight was over before it began. Both Goten and Gohan knew it and Goten verbally admitted it. It almost stung Gohan to hear his brother talk the way he was. Sure Goten had not been training as intensely as before, but Gohan was certain his younger brother still was a decent fighter. But Gohan could sympathized with Goten. For it hadn't been that long ago that Gohan was in the same exact spot Goten found himself currently in. It seemed Goten was in a slump. One that he needed a loving hand to help guide her through.

So with the little spar over for the time being, Gohan sighed, putting a gentle reassuring hand on Goten's shoulder, "Don't feel so bad, Goten. Believe it or not, I had to do some serious training in my own right the past year and a half to get to where I am today. For I too, found myself in bad shape. The only difference is I had to pull myself out of it alone. You however have my full support. If getting stronger is really what you want, then so be it. But I must warn you, I'm not going to take it easy on you, just because you are my kid brother. But you already know that. I have trained myself in a way where I can't afford to relent one bit. And so when I train those who seek my guidance, I expect the same from them. It's going to be hard road ahead of you, brother. But in the end it will be worth it, I promise. So first things first, let's go see if we can't get you back as a Super Saiyan. It's in there Goten, somewhere. You just need the right push to bring it out again."

Goten looked at Gohan now with a small smile appearing on his face. "I'll do whatever it takes to bring it out again. Whether it's protecting this village and the people in it or fighting for my life. This kingdom and my training is apart of me now." Goten looked to his older brother seriously.

Goten was now willing to do whatever it took to help Gohan around the kingdom. He walked towards Gohan and put his hand on Gohans shoulder. "Now to figure out this super saiyan problem." Goten smiled again, feeling comfort and support from his brother.

Goten looked out into t horizon, seeing birds flying throughout the sky, kids playing outside the kingdom. He took in everything at once, then looked over to Gohan. "Now I see what you fight for. I want to strive to become as good as you are!!" He stood there listening to his brother speak speak then nodded. "I need to dig down deep to figure this out. It's part of thread on I started meditating." Goten stood still, waiting for a reply from Gohan.

"Again that is incredibly admirable of you, Goten. But I would expect nothing less from you," Gohan replied with a smile as he squeezed his brother's shoulder before letting go of it, "Well then, let's not waste any more time."

Turning his head, Gohan looked out to the village that laid in front of him. The place was far too peaceful and quaint for the rigorous demands of training that Gohan and Goten were about to embark on, despite their rather isolated location. So Gohan motioned for Goten to follow him as he took off towards the outskirts of the Ox Kingdom, trying to create as much distance between the two of them and the village, not wanting to wreck havoc on the very thing Gohan had fought so hard to resurrect.

It didn't take long for Gohan to arrive to the border of his kingdom, leading his younger brother along. And upon arriving, Gohan once again entered a more serious and stern demeanor, becoming the kind of mentor that Goten had desired.

"Alright Goten, let's start off easy, shall we?" Gohan clapped his hands together as he started at his brother, "You say you have been introducing meditation to your training. And that is great news. In fact, we can incorporate that into trying to tap back into your Super Saiyan state. So for these first exercise, it's going to be really simple. I want you to close your eyes and focus real hard. I want you to picture the last time you become a Super Saiyan. Picture it well. Picture it until you see every detail. For when you get to that point, I want to stay locked onto that picture in your mind and dig a bit deeper. And while keeping your eyes close the entire time, visualizing that moment, I want you to think long and hard about the exact emotions you felt just moments prior to becoming a Super Saiyan. It may take some time, so don't worry if it doesn't happen all at once. But no matter what, I want you to keep doing this till I say otherwise. You think you can do that, Goten?"

Gohan laid out his instructions as he would with any of his students as he waited to see what his younger brother would do, curious to see just how truly far behind Goten really did fall in his training.

Goten nodded as Gohan spoke to him. He just nodded his head and followed Gohan away from the kingdom. He knew if things were to get out of hand, they would want to be as far away from the innocent lives as they could.

"It was a long time ago, Gohan. It was a few years after Dad and Vegeta beat Buu. There were these androids that came to earth while dad was away. Three of them swarmed into town, destroying everything in their paths. It was up to me to get rid off them." Goten looked at the ground in pain. "So many lives were lost because I was stubborn." He then Sat down into the grass and began to meditate.

Goten looked at Gohan before he would close his eyes. He nodded towards his brother then it all began. The flashbacks were horrible. Gotens hands began to tremble as he remembered all the pain he saw during that week. Instantly anger flew through his body as he thought about all the innocent lives. The aura around his body began showing, but no physical features were changing. It was as if Goten was powering up as he was meditating.

Gohan could see the emotion coming out of his younger brother as Goten tried to recall the last time he had gone Super Saiyan. From Goten's words, it was clear that it had been a terrifying experience but then again Gohan supposed all the times any of them had to go Super Saiyan the times were always quite terrifying. Still, Gohan could sympathized with his brother, almost feeling guilty for making Goten relive the moment. But then Goten started to tremble, powering up just enough for a slight aura to form around his body. Gohan saw this as a sign of promise. Gohan smiled as he placed a hand on Goten's shoulder, squeezing it affectionately, silently encouraging his younger sibling to continue.

Gohan had no idea about the situation Goten was talking about. After the business with Majin Buu ended, Gohan had settled down with the love of his life, Videl to start a family and live a normal life so to speak. Goten on the other hand decided to continue down the path that their father had paved. Though to what extent Goten took things, Gohan really didn't know. So to hear his brother speak of such a moment made Gohan feel slightly guilty for allowing Goten go it alone. If only he had known, perhaps Gohan could have been there to change how things ended.

Pushing the self-pity aside, Gohan locked his eyes onto his younger brother as he spoke in a loving but commanding tone, "That's it Goten! Keep picturing that moment! Visual everything. From the androids to the people they terrorized to the agony and pain you felt. Take that hopelessness and turn it to a controlled rage. Let it bubble just at the surface till it can't be held back any longer. Then let it out, Goten! Let it out in one sudden powerful explosion. I can both feel and sense it in you, brother. It lays dormant deep inside of you but I can feel and sense it. It wants to come out. Think long and hard. Do not let one detail slip pass your mind. Focus on everything. Come on Goten. You are almost there. Don't give up. You can do this, I know you can!"

As Gohan continued to encourage and cheer his brother on, the eldest Son sibling hoped that his optimistic views of the matter would do Goten some good.

Often began to focus on that one particular night. It was pouring down rain and one Android had destroyed a whole city in one quick explosion. Goten sensed the android, then found it staring into the sky. Goten knew there was nothing he could do, but stall for time. "You have to stop this!" Goten shouted towards the creation.

The Android didn't pay any attention to Goten. It just kept staring into the darkness. Goten flew towards the thing with tremendous speed. He went to throw a punch, but the Android grabbed Gotens hand and threw him into the mud. Before Goten knew it t android hit him with a flurry of ki blast. Goten awoke the next morning covered in his own blood. The Android left him there to die.

"That will never happen again!!" The aura around his body grew double in size. He opened his eyes and with so much anger he shouted again. "I Will protect earth with everything I have!!!" His eyes then turned green and his hair spiked up a bright yellowish blonde. He looked at Gohan, panting heavily. "Teach me, brother. I want to go beyond this. It is only right to follow my families footsteps." He smiled as the aura around his was yellow and dust fluttered from the ground.

As Goten stood there in front of Gohan, the oldest Son sibling could not help but feel quite proud of his younger brother. For as Gohan had strongly believed, Goten had the power of a Super Saiyan still in him. It was simply buried deep within but now with Gohan's help, Goten had brought back out to the surface. Putting an arm around his younger brother, Gohan smiled warmly.

"Absolutely, brother. I will teach you and together will we get you back in shape," Gohan said with a big nod of approval, "Now let's go home. I'm starving. Hahaha!"
