Chi-Ch got up from her place at her vanity and then Chi-Chi accepted Gohan's offered arm by wrapping her arm around his. She then smiled at she looked at her oldest child and his wife and she couldn't but help but feel that she was really blessed and lucky two have sweet people in her life."I'm as ready as I'm going to get and once again kids thank you for every thing. So let's get going I guess." said Chi-Chi. Chi-Chi now couldn't help but let the flashback of the time she had watched her son grow up and get his own life. The more she was thinking she was even starting to remember the time when she had first meet her spunky daughter-in-law when she was a teenager then to watch her grow to such a strong woman Chi-Chi couldn't but feel proud of the both them. "I'm so very proud of you two."said Chi-Chi. WC:156 Edited by Chi-Chi, Jun 12 2016, 02:52 AM.

Goku let out a deep sigh as he stood at the foot of fire mountain and stared up at the magesty that was the Ox King's castle. He had only been here a few times in the past and he wasnt very familiar with castle but he knew it well enough not to get lost. Having been raised in the woods Goku had never really liked the castle much. The fact that his home growing up could fight comfortably in any one of the castles massive hallways had always kind of intimidated him. The constant attention that he and Chi-Chi had recieved from the servants had always freaked him out too. He was never one for the proprieties and the mannerisms that came with being royalty. The problem was that he had married a princess and thus was considered royalty by the castle servants. He sighed, he wondered why Chi-Chi was here....he hoped she wasn't made at him for leaving. She had known he had to go to planet Vegeta though, Bulma had been in danger and Goku couldn't turn his back on a friend in danger. He sighed as he pulled the hood of his traveling clothes over his head. Maybe none of the servants would recognize him. He made his way up the steps leading to the castle of the Ox King; he could have easily flown but that would draw more attention than he wanted. He finally managed to climb to the top of the long stairs that had been carved into the side of fire mountain and was greeted by the two guards at the gate. The both greeted him as he made his way towards the gate of the castle; instead of walking in Goku stopped and blinked. When he inquired about the lax security the men informed him that today was the coronation of princess Chi-Chi and that all members of the Ox Kingdom were welcome. Goku's eyes widened in disbelief at what he had just heard. Chi-Chi was going to be coronated? He had no idea what that meant but he didnt like the sound of it; He had to get Chi-Chi out of here. The laid back attitude of the gate guards and the swarms of people inside only added to Goku's unease. He made his way to the crowd wondering where his wife might be; he seemed to remember her bedroom being upstairs but it had been a long time since he had been here. All of the people around him were throwing off his senses and making him nervous. He made his way quickly to the staircase leading upstairs and watched the guards closely. While these ones were more alert than the ones at the gate they still weren't paying close enough attention. If Goku knew the Ox king he wouldn't be ok with such inattentive guards. Goku thought that something must have happened to him as well. Goku waited until both guards backs were to the staircase and quickly jumped up over the railing and rushed up the stairs before they had a chance to notice. There were less people up here and Goku quickly got his baring as he made his way down the massive hall. Goku quickly made his way to the room that he remembered as his wife's and, with a deep breath, opened the door. WC: 560 Edited by Xeno Goku, Jun 12 2016, 03:36 AM.

Videl looked at Gohan with a wonderful smile on her face, glad to hear what he had said to her. He was appreciative over her helping him achieve all of this, and she was glad that he recognized she pitched in to help him and was one of the reasons why they gathered the Dragon Balls as fast as they could in order to become students of King Kai, as well as to restore the Ox Kingdom to it's former glory. She was glad that Gohan recognized her efforts and showed her appreciation for it, since it showed how selfless he truly was once more. She didn't have to take any credit for it, but she was glad that Gohan appreciated her efforts all the same. She knew that the newfound strength she possessed was something that had a contributing factor to them succeeding with their wishes. Since they were so strong, they were easily able to gather the Dragon Balls and make their wishes, and boy was she glad that they did. Due to this, Videl had improved even faster in terms of how powerful she's become, what with her learning the Kaio-Ken and obtaining even more strength to improve herself. "Don't be so quick to just make the day about Chi-Chi and myself, Gohan. This is a very important day to us all, as the entire Son Family are royalty, and they will be getting their Kingdom back. You should know that this is as important to you, Goku, Goten, Ox King and Cho as it is to Chi-Chi and myself. Don't be so quick to foist all of the splendor and such on the two of us when you all deserve some of it as well" Videl said to him with a smile as she kissed Gohan once more. When that was done, Gohan offered his arm to Chi-Chi, which she took, and they were just about to leave, when all of a sudden her Mother-In-Law spoke up and told them both of how proud she was of them. Naturally, this caused Videl to blush, as Chi-Chi was showing her praise. Videl and Gohan had come a long way since they first started dating, and it was nice that Chi-Chi had acknowledged it. The woman who fought in the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai was always an inspiration for Videl to become a fighter. She had seen the tapings, she had seen how Chi-Chi fought, and she was one of her idols. The fact that she was getting praise from one of her childhood inspirations was always a wondrous thing for her, and it was one of the many reasons why she respected and loved Chi-Chi. Videl was a spunky, serious fighter, and Chi-Chi was a spunky, serious fighter, but also a housewife who really knew how to cook and properly take care of her family. She always appreciated getting Chi-Chi's help when it came to learning how to care for a family of Saiyans, the more tips she got, the better of she would be. "Well, we have our reasons to doing what we do, to why we train so hard every day, Chi-Chi. We want to do right by our families, we want to protect them, we want to ensure that they are safe, happy, and content in their lives. You have done more for us than almost everyone else, especially with Gohan, and this is our way of paying you back for all of the years of dedication, child-rearing, lessons, and so much more. You deserve this, Chi-Chi" she said to her Mother-In-Law with a smile on her face the whole time. Just when they were ready to walk out of the chambers and get the motherly soon-to-be-Queen out to do the Coronation Ceremony, though, they were interrupted by none other than Goku entering the room, which caused Videl to blink in surprise. She knew that Gohan had instructed her father and the rest of the family to make it to the ceremony if they could, but this was truly a surprise to see him here. She looked at him out of curiosity when she noticed an odd look on his face. If she didn't know better, she'd say that he was panicked. Raising an eyebrow up in surprise for a moment, she looked Goku up and down and wondered to herself what was wrong with him. She would have figured that Goku would be happy for his wife, but he seemed to be more worried than anything. Honestly curious as to what was going on with him at this moment in time, she couldn't resist piping up to investigate the reason why he seemed so panicked over what was going on. So, she was quick to speak up and ask her Father-In-Law what was wrong with him, why he didn't seem so happy about what was going down. "Oh, nice to see you made it, Goku. It's been such a long time since we last talked, how have you been, and why do you seem so worried?" she asked him with a raised eyebrow, honestly wondering what was up with him. She greeted him in a jovial manner, but then was quick to get right into questioning him. If he was so worried, it had to be something important, but she just hoped that what was wrong wouldn't interfere with Chi-Chi's wonderful Coronation Ceremony. WC: 891 TWC: 3,000 |

"Awww mother, you don't have to thank me. You truly deserve this," Gohan replied with a sweet smile as he felt his mother squeeze his arm in her own, chuckling softly to himself. To see his mother standing there next to him so happy and cheerful was the whole reason why he had went out of his way to make that day happen in the first place. Everything was going just the way he had planned it. His mother's overwhelming joy and delight. His wife's cheery demeanor and gratitude as well as her desire to let her husband know that the day was just as much about Gohan as it was about Chi-Chi and Videl. Which was nice to hear, for Gohan had not sought out the dragon dalls and summon the Eternal Dragon to resurrect the Ox Kingdom for himself, though he suppose in a way the happy little coincidence was all of what was before him was for him just as much as it was for anyone else in his family. "I guess you are right, Videl. Though I really don't want to make this about me. That was never my intention," Gohan replied as he looked off in the distance for moment, thinking deeply, "Besides seeing my mother being crowned the Ox Queen is more than enough satisfaction I need or want." Nodding at his statement, Gohan smiled back at both his wife and mother as with both of them in his hands, he saw no reason to stall any longer. Gohan was just in the middle of turning towards the door with his mother in one arm and his wife in the other when that very door swung open with such aggression. Gohan was taken back for a moment before he erupted in a cheery little laugh. "Hey you made it!" Gohan exclaimed as he had to contain himself, for he did not want to knock over his mother or his wife in his delight, "I wasn't sure if you would make it but it's really good to see you for the coronation, father!" Gohan had told his father to come to the Ox Castle that day as though Gohan knew he hadn't seen much of his dad for some time (as usually was the case with Goku), Gohan believed that his mother would love to share in the wonders of what was to become of her with her husband and love of her life. Of course, Gohan knew just how unpredictable his father could be, so it was a wonderful surprise to say the least. "Say you didn't get lost did you, Dad?" Gohan added as he noticed the frantic look on Goku's face and was a bit perplexed by it, "Hey, you alright? You seem like you saw a ghost or something. You didn't eat some bad food on your way here again, did you? How many times we have to tell you, food has an expiration date. No but seriously, you feeling okay, Dad?" Chi-Chi was about to say something once more to Videl and Gohan when she caught sight of her bedroom door opening. Chi-Chi then let go of her because of the sight she saw when door opened. She was very much surprised about the fact that her was husband was the one that opened her door, heck she was in shock that he was even here. When she saw the worried look on his face wonder what was wrong, however before she could ask anything Videl and Gohan started questioning him. When she was sure they where done talking, Chi-Chi decide that she would speak up."Goku-sa welcome back home. Just like Videl and Gohan I'm wondering if you are okay too because the look on your face doesn't look to happy. If you don't mind me asking where you successful in your mission to save Bulma? Is she okay?"said Chi-Chi. She then walked over to Goku and placed a hand on his shoulder in hopes that whatever was causing him to have a worried look that maybe a gentle touch on his shoulder might offer him some comfort."Please tell us what's wrong, if you want just us two can go somewhere and talk if that's what you need?" said Chi-Chi. As Goku threw open the door he saw that ChiChi indeed was inside. He had almost reached in to grab her when he realized that his son and daughter in law were also inside. every one was seemingly staring at him shocked and it took him a moment to register everything Going on. Goku blinked as his attention was riveted on his wife. She wore a beautiful dress that Goku had never seen before that reminded him of just how stunning his wife was. He blinked almost forgetting where he was at the sight of his beautiful wife. Goku shook his head and blinked at Gohan just now registering that every one in the room seemed more concerned about him at the moment than about ChiChi. Either they had no idea that they were in danger or Goku had overreacted to the situation. Given that he had no idea what was actually going on he figured that he might be overreacting. He stammered for a moment as his eyes darted back to his wife and then closed his eyes to collect himself. He took a deep breath and stood shaking his head with a smile. "Yeah I'm ok..... I heard some one say something about coronating you and I had no idea what that meant. The gate guards were just letting any one in and there were a ton of people here so I thought you might be in trouble. Guess I kinda jumped the gun on this one huh" Goku grinned sheepishly as he rubbed a hand on the back of his neck. "Guess everything on Planet Vegeta kinda put me on edge. what is actually going on though.... I still have no idea what a coronation is." He glanced back at his wife and cleared his throat "or why your dressed up so pretty" WC: 307 TWC: 867 |

She smiled at her husband, glad that he acknowledge the fact that this day was just as much about himself as it was about Chi-Chi or Videl. Sure, he didn't restore Fire Mountain to it's former glory out of some selfish desire, he did it out of a desire to repay his mother for all that she's done. He honestly felt that after all the hard work Chi-Chi did, all the cooking, child-rearing, and educating she did, that she deserved this. Videl, needless to say, was in complete agreement with her husband, as Chi-Chi had worked hard for so long, and now deserved to be pampered. Sure, her family was appreciative of her efforts, but Chi-Chi gave up her Martial Arts days for the most part to raise a family, which Videl respected. She understood that family was more important than a career and such, if you felt you needed to sacrifice one of your hobbies or dreams to better raise your family, you should do so. Chi-Chi understood this very well, and it was one of the many reasons why Videl respected her Mother-In-Law as much as she did. Chi-Chi was a very loving, motherly person, and she deserved this. "I know you didn't restore the Ox Kingdom for your own desires, but that doesn't change the fact that you get something out of it yourself. I know you don't really need the throne, or to rule it, but that doesn't mean you can't take pride in this. After all, this is part of your family, and you deserve to feel some pride over this. There's no shame in it whatsoever" Videl said to her wonderful husband with a smile on her face the whole time. After all, what she said was the complete and total truth, and she wanted Gohan to know that. Then Goku proceeded to explain why he was so worried, and when he got finished doing so, Videl chuckled a bit to herself. It seemed her Father-In-Law's lack of education and general knowledge was rearing it's head again. Sure, Goku was learning more and more slowly over time, but there were gaps that still needed to be corrected, and they could be done so with time. She figured it was time that she speak up and let Goku know that there was nothing to be concerned about. If he didn't know what a coronation was, she felt it best that she explain it to him. "A coronation is a special ceremony, Goku. Basically, a coronation involves swearing someone into a special position, some kind of seat of power. Chi-Chi will be crowned the Ox Queen today, and that's what this coronation is for, to officially swear her in as the new Queen" Videl explained to Goku, her smile becoming a tad bit more amused over the situation. Goku was the same as always, and she liked his easy-going, caring nature. She had great respect for her Father-In-Law, and she hoped that she was able to impress him with how far she's come one day. While his mother and wife were all over his father, Gohan couldn't help but zone in on the casual manner Goku had mentioned Planet Vegeta. Gohan had never been to the planet himself yet it seemed his father had just spent some time there recently. The thought made Gohan raise his eyebrow in silence as he couldn't figure out why his father would venture off to such a planet. Gohan understood that it was his father's home planet and it was true that his father, along with Gohan himself, had run ins with various individuals from that planet all their lives. Individuals like Vegeta, Nappa, Broly and Paragus. Gohan even encountered his uncle, Goku's older brother, Raditz many years ago. Al of which, like Goku, were born on Planet Vegeta. So Gohan supposed his father simply wanted to check out his birth planet once and for all. Still, Gohan would have thought something of that high importance would merit some sort of warning or heads up from his father. Surely, it wasn't in his father's nature to keep secrets from people, especially from his own family. As long as Gohan knew his father, which was Gohan's entire life, his father was very open and often blunt with what he was going to do. Which at times infuriated Gohan's mother. Gohan felt he should investigate things further but with the current situation at hand, he decided it was not the best time to do so. After all, the day was suppose to a joyous one. Gohan would hate to have all his hard work go up in smoke over interrogating his father over something that could bring a certain level of soberness over the cheerful atmosphere. So Gohan bite his tongue on the matter and instead joined his wife in explaining what exactly was going on in the Ox Kingdom. "Well, it sort of happened quite fast but after Videl and I gathered the dragon balls and summoned Shenron the Eternal Dragon, we were able to resurrect the Ox Kingdom and every since I've been working with Grandpa to restore the kingdom to its former glory. But in order to fully do so, we need to confirm a ruler. Grandpa said he was far too old to continue on as King, plus he has gotten use to the simple life after losing the kingdom. So the next logical person to be ruler is mother. After all, she is the rightful heiress to the throne. So as Videl said, the coronation is to declare mother as the new ruler of the Ox Kingdom. The new Ox Queen." Gohan did his best to explain things as plainly as he could, knowing that his father's initial confusion could cause him to not understand the more complicated details at the moment. "So technically speaking, once mother because the Ox Queen, that would make you the Ox King, Dad!" Gohan added with a little delightful laugh, "Isn't that something? Who would have thought my own Dad would be King?" WC: 500 TWC: 4,000 |

Chi-Chi smiled when Goku had said he was okay and then listened when he went on to explain things. Chi-Chi giggled a little when Goku did his sheepish grin when , she couldn't but think he looked very cute. However his off hand comment about being pretty got her to stop giggling and to start blushing bright red. Chi-Chi was now lowing her head to look at her feet in order to hide her face, as she was trying to make her blush go away she listened as Gohan and Videl explained a coronation was to her husband and the stuff that all lead up to this event. Once she was sure she stopped blushing, she then raised her head up and then smiled when Gohan made a happy comment to his father. Chi-Chi loved loved the fact that her husband and son where so close and had such a strong bond. She then looked at her Goku once more. She still wanted to double check and make sure he was okay."Are you sure you are okay? You don't need anything to eat do you? Do you need me to patch up any wounds?" asked Chi-Chi. Chi-Chi then waited on answer. She then couldn't help but think that the coronation was going to start soon, she might be a little late but that was okay with her because she wanted make sure her Goku was really okay. Goku blinked still taking in everything as he listened to his son and daughter in-law explain what had been going on in his absence. Goku beamed with pride at what Gohan and Videl had managed to achieve. Not only were the two exceptionally powerful warriors but they had used a wished to restore an entire kingdom. Goku smiled and walked over placing a hand on Gohans shoulder in a fatherly gesture "You've done good Gohan. The Ox kingdom needed to be brought back and these people need a strong leader." He grinned and shook his heads trying to find the words "Ive never been much of a leader let alone king material. But i know that between you, Videl, and your mother this kingdom is in good hands." Goku turned to Videl "And I know that with you around my son is in good hands; thank you both for everything you've done." Goku sighed and patted Gohan's shoulder warmly before turning to Chi-Chi. She had said something about food and Goku hadnt realized it before but he was in fact starving. He grinned broadly at his wife "Dont worry I'm not hurt; I had some time to heal up on my way back from Vegeta. After this is all over ill have to fill you guys in on the details; its a pretty good story after all. I could use some food though but it looks like you guys are about to get started so I guess I can wait a bit." Goku smiled again and gave a playful bow to his wife "besides we wouldn't want to keep the people waiting for their new queen". Goku stood again and brushed the dust off as best he could from his traveling clothes. He had never been too interested in how he looked but he knew Chi-Chi liked for him to look nice. She called it looking presentable or something like that. Usually looking presentable meant Goku had to dress up in one of those uncomfortable suits but they never seemed to fit him right. They were always way to confining and tended to itch like crazy. WC: 356 TWC: 1223 |
