Videl smiled in glee and appreciation over the touching moment between Goku and Gohan. Some would say that Goku could be a bit oblivious and such when it came to the wants and needs of his family, but he just showed them his love in his own way. He was a good man, a good husband, and a good father. Videl was glad that, much like herself, Chi-Chi had found herself a good man to be with forever. If it wasn't for Chi-Chi and Goku, Videl would still probably be an ordering crime fighter forever stuck in the shadow of her father. Goku pretty much gave his ringing endorsement for what they were doing, and the fact that he had so much faith in them made Videl feel quite glad. Goku was a good, respectable man, and if you won his respect, it was good enough for one to think that they have done an excellent job. Goku had an incredible eye for things like talent and skill, and if he felt you were one worthy of respect, it was an established you were deserving of it. There was no questioning it, the Earth-Raised Saiyan was proud of them, and Videl was then proud of herself as well. "Thank you for the compliment, Goku. I've worked hard for so many years to improve myself, and I'm satisfied with saying that I've grown a lot, and in so many ways as well" she said to him in a manner that showed she was proud of herself. Sure, she was a prideful person, but it wasn't to the point of being arrogant, due to her knowing without a doubt that she had grown significantly stronger and improved in so many ways. She was proud of herself, and nothing anyone said could take that away. Goku then reminded them of why all of them were here, and Videl's gaze grew more serious. He was right, they shouldn't keep the people waiting for the crowning of their new Ox Queen waiting, they deserved to see their new Queen, and they were going to get it. Chi-Chi was ready, as were the rest of them, so they needed to get going so they could attend the coronation ceremony. If they didn't get going, they might miss it, and that would be a terrible first impression to make, arriving late at the ceremony meant to crown you the new ruler. "Goku, since you will pretty much be sworn in with her, I want you to link arms with Chi-Chi like this" Videl instructed Goku, demonstrating by linking arms with Gohan to show him it's done. "Gohan and I will be going first to show you how to walk her, so you'll be fine. These are your people now as well, Goku, and they deserve to see the man who married their beloved Queen" she said to her Father-In-Law with a smile on her face, wanting things to go very well so it falls into place. "Aww thanks Dad. It really wasn't that big of a deal, honest! I mean with Videl by my side, finding the dragon balls didn't take that much effort or time," Gohan smiled as he blushed slightly at his father's compliments. In his mind, he hadn't done nothing really special. He was simply doing what he thought needed to be done, "Besides it was Shenron would did all the heavy lifting. Though I suppose running a kingdom will be the hardest part of this venture, but I'm sure with all of us working together, we can manage quite well." As he replied to his father, Gohan's wife was not hesitate to hook her arm in his own, both affectionately and aesthetically as Videl was quick to get things back on track, telling the entire room about the proceedings that were about to happen. Gohan stole a glance towards his wife as he was silently intrigued by Videl's knowledge of such things. Gohan always knew his wife was more a rough and tough tomboy than a prim and proper princess, yet she seemed to have learned and studied up on the ways of kingdom live, carrying out a proper coronation ceremony included. It made Gohan proud as his chest swell with admiration for his wife. He had not honestly expected such from Videl but he was awfully delighted. "Videl is right! We shouldn't be hanging out here any longer. We got a coronation to attend," Gohan nodded as he squeezed his wife's arm lightly and lovely before leading her to the bedroom door. Gohan was glad Videl knew so much about what to do for the celebration as he had been so busy discussing the future of the Ox Kingdom with his Grandpa that he hadn't had much time to go over the actual minor but important details of that day. Things like how to present himself in the way he walked, bowed, waved. The proper royal etiquette as it was called. Though, Gohan felt if he was to rule a kingdom then he should do so his way. Perhaps once the coronation came and went, and Gohan was situated in his duties as the Ox Prince and the next heir to the throne, he could change the rulings and beliefs on those issues. He was sure his wife would thank him for it. For as much as she looked absolutely stunning in all the beautiful dresses she had been wearing recently, Gohan knew his wife did not prefer them as much as royal decree desired. "Follow us, Dad. Lead mother right behind us," Gohan added as he walked out of his mother's bedroom door with his wife in his arms, leading her away. He could hear the faint sound of music being played. Trumpets ringing out like a sweet bluejay's song. A hush fell over the entire ballroom when Gohan and Videl reached the top of the stairs. Gohan took a deep breath and exhaled. It was really happening. He couldn't believe it himself. WC: 500 TWC: 4,500 |

Chi-Chi listened to conversion between her family with a smile. When Goku gave her a mock bow she just rolled her eyes. When she was about to speak she heard Gohan say that it was time to getting going to where the coronation was being held and when Videl start talking to Goku about how to escort to the coronation. It was during this time that so many thoughts began to run threw her head a mile minute and she was starting to get really nervous. Soon her smile left her face and gave into a slight worried look as she lost in her head for a few seconds. What if I can't do this? What if I'm a awful Queen? What if I fall flat on my face while walking? Okay i need to clam down and think reasonably about things. How can I be clam when I'm going to have a lot of people looking at me when I'm taking my oath to be a good queen. What if I say the wrong thing? Okay Chi-Chi clam down before you get your self start to panic, Every thing will be fine, Chi-Chi thought to herself. Chi-Chi took a few calming breaths and soon got her self to calm down some. Chi-Chi watched as Gohan and Videl left the room, she then looked towards Goku and gave him a slight smile."Goku I known that your normally not that very big on being around people a whole lot and also us being so close together in public at times. You do know that you have the choice that you don't have escort me if you don't want too."said Chi-Chi. Chi-Chi then walked out of her room and into the hallway but she paused for a second and looked back at Goku."Wish me luck cause I'm going to need it."said Chi-Chi. Chi-Chi then started down the hallway. WC:321 |

Goku sighed and rubbed the back of his neck, it was true that he hated big events and crowds of people. After being raised in the woods and living there for most of his life he had never been comfortable around large crowds. He had never been one for formal events either; he just didnt understand the customs and courtesies that went along with them. He always felt that he was the odd man out and that it was obvious he didnt belong there. He sighed, this time was different however this time it was for Chi-Chi. He could tell after so many years of marriage that she was nervous, in fact she looked beyond nervous. Goku smiled as he slowly made his way out of the room and into the hall. He watched his son and daughter in law make there way down the hall arm in arm like they had told him to do. He was proud that the boy had grown into such a fine young man. Gohan had adjusted well to life outside of the small forest home where he was raised. Goku had a feeling that Videl, along with the learning that Chi-Chi had pushed, were the reasons behind that. Goku smiled and quietly slipped up behind Chi-Chi. She really was beautiful in the gown and that made Goku feel even more out of place. He smiled remembering the first time she had hung off of his arm at the World Martial Arts Tournament. He had been a little unsure of how the whole marriage thing worked at the time but he had come around eventually. He grinned, this time he would take her arm; he was sure her reaction would be better than his first one. He matched her stride and slipped up beside her sneaking in a quick kiss on her cheek before circling his arm around hers. He gave her a smile and a wink as they followed behind Gohan and Videl. He knew how nervous this whole thing made Chi-Chi and he wanted her to know that she wouldnt be in it alone. WC: 354 TWC: 1577 Edited by Xeno Goku, Jul 11 2016, 11:58 PM.

Well, things were ready to get underway. They had said all that needed to be said, and now it was time to begin the Coronation Ceremony. Videl was visibly excited, as this would be the first coronation ceremony she had ever been to, and the fact that she would be part of it was something that both excited her, as well as made her nervous. She wasn't totally sure what she should be doing, but she was just going to go with the flow of things and do her best to act as calm as she possibly could. It was the only thing she could do. She took Gohan's arm, and was prepared to walk into the throne room so that the coronation could begin. Like she had said, they had waited long enough, and now it was time to make things official. She was a bit anxious to begin the ceremony, but also nervous due to the fact that she would have to make decisions regarding the running of an entire Kingdom. It was something she had never thought herself doing at any point in time, so she was more than a little nervous over what she would have to do. As the two walked out of the room, Videl paused for a moment to look over her shoulder and stare at Chi-Chi and Goku. Seeing that there was something going on between the two of them, she knew that they would some alone time, and walked out of the room with Gohan to head to the throne room. She was nervous, maybe not as nervous as Chi-chi, but still very nervous. She was unsure over what she would have to do in her duties as the new Ox Princess, but she only promised to do the best that she could. She smoothed out her own dress a bit, inwardly hating the fact that she had to wear a dress once more, and walked into the throne room. Immediately, her breath hitched at the sight of so many people, recognizing the Ox King as one of the many that were around. Her nervousness just grew larger, but she was sure to harden herself up and continue on. She wasn't going to just stop here, not after she had come so far. If she could handle all of the stuff she had faced before, like the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, the Gravity Training, the training with King Kai, learning the Kamehameha, she could handle this. Videl would not run away from this, she would not run away from anything. Even when faced with something that seemed utterly impossible for her to overcome, she still faced them. She never ran away or retreated, she was as fiery as they came, and she would not allow her insecurities to overcome her. She was most definitely not a normal human anymore, but it was a healthy thing to feel nervousness and fear every once in a while, it reminded them that no matter how strong they got, they were still mortal. Out of all the things that was thrust upon Gohan since the resurrection of the Ox Kingdom, the title of "Prince" was still foreign and peculiar to him. While many of little boys and girls grew up dreaming of one day becoming a prince or princess, Gohan never had the thought. In fact, even before he was threw deep into the art of fighting, Gohan never really gave much thought to his royal lineage. Sure he knew that his grandfather was the Ox King, rich and well-respected as his mother was the Ox Princess, next in line to take the throne if ever the day came where the Ox Kingdom was restored, but that was more a fantasy to him than being the strongest fighter on Earth. Yet here he was, no longer that little boy who marveled at butterflies and fish. A grown man with the keys to a kingdom in his hands. He even had a dragon to go with it in Icarus. He was living every boy's fantasy albeit many decades late, but better late than never he supposed. "Presenting Prince Gohan and Princess Videl!" Hamilton boldly declared to the entire ballroom. Gohan cracked a little smile as he could sense himself blushing slightly at the introduction from one of the royal members of the King's, or rather soon to be, Queen's Court. He could feel his wife's arm tighten itself around his own as they descended down the stairs. The hush that fell over the ballroom soon erupted in gasps of awe and delight as the trumpets blasted above it all, ringing out a catchy little tune. Yet all Gohan could hear was his own heartbeat. He never been so nervous before. And to be honest, he did not think when the time came he would be such. Luckily as he stole a glance at Videl, he could see he wasn't alone and for some reason that seemed to comfort him, soothing his anxieties. For taking a deep breath, he exhaled slowly once he reached the bottom of the stairs with his wife. "Ah Gohan! Don't you look so distinguish!" A powerful booming voice erupted out of the ballroom, like a volcano about to explode. Yet to Gohan it was as calm as a sea breeze. It was Gohan's grandfather, the Ox King, who was approaching them with a big smile on his face. Gohan was a bit taken back by his grandfather's overall appearance however. For Gohan was used to seeing his grandfather in suspenders and brown shorts. However, the massive mountain of a man that was walking right to him was wearing what could only be described as the most bizarre and interesting battle armor he ever did see. ![]() "And Videl, don't you look lovely!" The Ox King added as he smiled at his granddaughter-in-law before giving them both a big hug. For once being known as a fierce and ruthless warrior, the OX King had became such a warm and sweet man in his latter years, especially with his grandchildren, "Hey where's Chi-Chi? She didn't get cold feet did she? I would hate to have all of this gone to waste. Though I wouldn't blame my little girl if she is second guessing things. This is a very overwhelming occasion despite it being such a joyous one as well." Gohan smiled back at his grandfather as he shook his head before answering the Ox King, "Don't worry Grandpa, mother is on her way down. In fact she was following right behind Videl and myself. I'm sure Dad is leading her down as we speak." "Oh, Goku is here? When did he arrive? This is great news! I know your father is a busy man with his training and such. I honestly did not expect him to show up, but the fact he did makes this moment extra special!" The Ox King's eyes seemed to gleam with a distinct shine as if the news of Goku being there and involved in Chi-Chi's coronation was the icing on the cake for the proceedings and Gohan had to agree. Suddenly the trumpets went off again as Hamilton spoke up again, cutting through any and all conversation that was going on. "Presenting Sir Goku and her Majesty, Queen Chi-Chi!" Confetti and rose petals were thrown into the air as everyone turned back to the stairs. The Ox King gasped in pure astonishment. "Wow Chi-Chi looks so beautiful!" The Ox King wiped a single tear from his right eye as he could not believe just how glorious his little girl really was as she descended down the stairs, "Oh man, I told myself I wouldn't cry but my little princess is all grown up. Today she is becoming a Queen. I never thought this would happen. Thank you Gohan! Thank you Videl!" WC: 800 TWC: 5,300 |

Chi-Chi had heard a noise come from beside. She looked to see what the noise was, to her surprise Goku was walking beside her. She was even more surprised when gave her a kiss on the check then for him to take hold of arm, but however she was very happy and returned his smile. She was glad that her Goku was there beside because it gave her the courage to go threw with this coronation and it also made her a little less nervous. "Thank you for being here Goku-sa"said Chi-Chi. However the feeling of being less nervous went away the moment she heard her Goku's names be called after Gohan and Videl walked down. Chi-Chi heart started to race and she was starting to feel a little light headed while her legs where also starting to feel weak and so Chi-Chi tighten her grip on Goku's arm and somewhat clinging onto him as they walked down the stairs however even when they enter the room Chi-Chi wasn't make any plans on letting go of her husband's arm at any point in the near future. When the confetti and the rose petals started falling all around and the people reaction and most certainly her father's caused Chi-Chi to only hope she doesn't let everyone down. She was however at a lost for words and was now starting to get teary eyes once again for that day. WC:237 |

Goku felt Chi-Chi tighten her grip on his arm and smiled; he knew his wife was nervous but he couldnt understand exactly why. It was probably because he had no idea what it actually meant to be a queen.... or a king for that matter. Goku smiled and patted Chi-Chi's hand, after all that they had been through however Goku couldn't think of any one more suited for the task. He looked at his son and daughter in law in front of them. They had done a fine job raising Gohan, even if Chi-chi had done much of the grunt work. Goku couldn't imagine that being the queen of the ox kingdom could be much different than being a wife and moth... his mind went blank when he saw the sheer size of the crowd that had gathered to witness the coronation. He had never seen so many people gathered at one time in his entire life. He turned to Chi-Chi finally understanding the enormous weight that she must be feeling. He sighed, there wasnt anything he could do other than to be there and support her and his son and daughter in-law. He had no idea how to handle politics but he knew that between the three of them they had a handle on things. He smiled when he saw the Ox king, he couldnt remember the last time he had seen the man in the outfit he was currently wearing. The man looked as intimidating as the first time that Goku had seen him; time and age had not diminished his massive frame. Goku smiled again, it was good to know that he would still be around to aid them with his years of experience. Because Goku had absolutely no idea what he was doing. Videl saw Gyu Mao in an outfit that she had never seen wear before, and smiled at him in a thankful manner when he complimented both Gohan and herself. She was glad that she had managed to wear this dress well enough to look beautiful. She had worn them occasionally in the past, but she had never really been comfortable in them. Being a fighter, she was someone who preferred comfortable clothes over fancy clothes that made her look good. Comfortable clothes were much easier to fight in, and she didn't really want to be forced to fight in something fancy and constricting like a dress. Most of the dresses she had were the really long ones that went down to the feet, and because of that, they were horrible for fighting in. She could fight in them if she felt she had to, but she would prefer to not do so, which is why she was often seen with the tomboyish clothes she DID wear. They were easier to fight in, they were more comfortable, and she didn't care to flaunt her appearance at all. She felt she was beautiful, and Gohan was always quick to tell her she was. "Thank you sir, you look quite distinguished yourself. Don't worry about Chi-Chi, she's a strong woman and I know she has the courage to go through with this" Videl said to the Ox King with a smile on her face. She knew that Chi-Chi was a strong woman, and as such she knew that her Mother-In-Law would be able to power through this and become the new Ox Queen. Yeah, this was no doubt a huge thing to spring on her and the rest of the family, but she knew that it would be worth it in the end, why wouldn't it be? Sure enough, Chi-Chi and Goku walked into the hall where her Mother-In-Law would be crowned Ox Queen, and Videl couldn't help but smile and clap in appreciation for her. She was quick to offer her support with it, and gave the older woman an approving nod of her head to show that she was glad she came. She knew facing such a thing so suddenly could be so overwhelming, and as such was probably something that might scare someone away. Videl was sure that the older woman would pull through, there was no way she would ever run away. Seeing the state Gyu Mao was in, she hugged her Grandfather-In-Law's arm and rubbed it, smiling up at him. "It's alright, sir. Chi-Chi deserves this more than anyone, and I'm just as happy for her as you are. This has been a long time coming, and I'm glad to see it all unfold" Videl said to the Ox King with a proud, wondrous smile on her face. She was genuinely happy for her Mother-In-Law, and she hoped that great things would come from this. She had a feeling that this was the start of a wonderful new day. WC: 497 TWC: 5,000 |

"Thanks Videl. So am I!" The Ox King replied with a big smile on his face, "Now if you excuse me, I got a job to do!" With the formal introductions taken care of, there was only one left to do before Chi-Chi could be crowned the Ox Queen; the royal speech from the previous ruler of the Ox Kingdom. Which was none other than the Ox King himself, looking fierce as ever even after all those years. Slipping his arm from Videl's grasp, the Ox King headed to the center of the massive ballroom as the crowd parted like the sea. Once he reached dead center, the Ox King extended his arms in the air and started to speak. "Hear ye, hear ye. It is I, the great Ox King! Today is a joyous one. Though I must admit, it also a tad bit sad for me personally. For I can't say I won't miss being your ruler. But like all good things, everything must come to an end. And atlas, my reign has come to an end. But believe me when I say, we are about to crown a more than capable and absolutely deserving individual as Queen. So to avoid dragging this thing on more than it should, Hamilton will you come forth." Hamilton bowed respectfully before approaching the Ox King but not before seizing hold on a dainty little pillow that carried the most elegant crown ever seen. The jewels sparkling brightly in all angles of light. Once Hamilton reached the Ox King, he extended his arms forward and the mighty and massive man took hold of the crown, raising it high in the air for all to see. A collective gasp washed over the room. "Chi-Chi, my dear. Please come forth and claim your birthright!" The Ox King proudly spoke. WC: 300 TWC: 5,600 Edited by Brick, Jun 29 2016, 12:11 PM.
