It was days like this when Goten enjoyed himself the most. Training with his older brother Gohan meant a lot to him, since he wasn't nearly as strong. It gave him hope for in the future he would be close in strength and speed. It seemed Gohan and Pan were the ones willing to help him achieve this goal.

As Goten whipped his foot at Gohan's face, It disappeared as his foot was centimeters from connecting. Suddenly the saiyan hybrid sensed his older brother above him, but there was nothing Goten could do to stop his attack. The elbow landed directly where Gohan intended. Gotens eyes widened as the blow caused him to crash to the floor of the dojo.

Slowly the saiyan hybrid rose to his feet and turned to his older brother, rubbing the back of his neck. "I should have never under estimated your base power!" he said with a grin upon his lips. With a quick flash, Goten transformed in to a super saiyan. His golden aura flowed around him furiously. His eyes darted towards his brother. "Now, try that again." Goten said with a smirk.

It seemed the true saiyan was starting to show in Goten as he became a super saiyan in front of his brother. "There is one thing I want you to teach me. The kamehameha wave." he said to Gohan with a smirk upon his face. Goten was anxious to learn this technique because his father and brother both knew how to use and control it.

Gohan cocked his head slightly as his younger brother took the blow straight on, crashing to the dojo's floor with a hard thump. But Gohan was glad to see that despite the stiff shot, Goten was not out of the fight so soon. The younger saiyan hybrid and Son sibling rising to his feet with determination in his heart and a burning fire shooting out of his eyes. Gohan was always impressed by his family's resolve. Goten was no exception as ever since Goten was a young boy, it was clear to Gohan that his little brother was something special. After all, Goten had somehow managed to unlock and master the Super Saiyan state at such a young age, far surpassing their father in that regard, even surpassing Gohan in that sense as well.

The way Gohan saw it, once Goten was back into full fighting form, perhaps it would be Gohan who would be learning a thing or two from Goten.

As Goten stood there powered up to a Super Saiyan, Gohan smirked slightly. It seemed the fight was about to reach a new level of intensity in such a short amount of time. Something Gohan was ready for. He just hoped the castle dojo could contain the two of them. The last thing Gohan wanted was to see the castle been destroyed by their hands, especially after all the work it took for Gohan to make the castle new again. But Gohan was confident that the dojo could withstand two saiyan hybrids. After all Gohan had taken part in the development and construction of the place, for when Gohan had wished for the Ox Kingdom to be restored, the castle dojo was not a part of the original deal but rather a splendid addition adding on after the Coronation of Goten and his mother, Chi-Chi. It gave the family a place to train while being an ear shot of the going-ons in the kingdom as well presented a place where future students and Ox Kingdom guards could come to train and spar with each other.

"The Kamehameha wave, huh?" Gohan echoed back to Goten, "I think I can teach you that. It really isn't that difficult to learn if I'm being honest, especially once you know the basics of Ki manipulation and control. But it is awfully powerful. All in all it is a good technique to have in your arsenal."

Nodding at Goten, Gohan got into a fighting stance before continuing to speak, "I'll tell you what. I'll show you how it's done. So watch closely okay?"

Cocking his arms behind his back, Gohan focused his energy into his open palms. It did not take long for a blue sphere of energy to gather within. Gohan had long since mastered the technique and thus could slow things done, to give Goten a closer look at how things were done.

"The key to this technique is to breath through your nose and focus on the energy that you are gathering," Gohan instructed, "And when you have gathered the max amount of energy, you shoot it forward with everything you got. That is what causes it to be such a powerful attack. Alright you ready, Goten? Here it comes! Be prepared! KAAAAAA...MEEEEEEE...HAAAAAAA...MEEEEEE...HAAAAAAAAAA!!!"

As Gohan shouted the name of the technique with a mighty roar, Gohan shot his hands forward and released the brilliant blue energy wave directly at his younger brother. Gohan did not put all his strength behind it, despite instructing Goten to do so, for Gohan was not looking to maim Goten but simply show and teach him how it was done.

Goten stood in place, about twenty feet away from his older brother, Gohan. His transformation no longer ate away so much ki since he could control it for very long periods of time. His gi rippled in all direction from the golden aura his super saiyan state was producing.

"I've seen you and dad use that attack multiple times now and I think I'm ready to handle this responsibility." he said to Gohan in a serious tone of voice. Clearly Goten felt he was ready to learn this technique and perhaps master it as well.

Goten backed away a few steps as Gohan performed the motions of the attack. The blue orbs from his palms grew in size as he said the famous words of the attack. Gohan then pushed his hands forward and a large blue ki wave came directly at Goten. He quickly put his arms in front of his face like an X to absorb most of the damage with his forearms. The blast engulfed the young saiyan hybrid, only doing minimal damage since he was in his super saiyan state.

"Wow Gohan, you really have come a long way since you were in high school. I'm sure dad would be proud of us both." he said happily.

Goten then began to focus on the task at hand. "My turn!" Goten then cupped his hands and cocked his arms back. He closed his eyes and breathed in and out smoothly. A small blue orb began to glow from his palms. It was only he size of a golf ball. Goten opened his eyes and stared Gohan down. "KAA....MEEE...HA..." the golf ball grew in size but barely as the young saiyan hybrid charged the attack. "MEE....HAAAA! he shouted as he pushd his arms forward releasing the puny ki wave at his older brother.

Gohan watched as Goten was engulfed by the Kamehameha wave, disappearing within the energy wave's explosive power. That moment lasted for a few seconds before the attack faded away, leaving Goten there slightly battered and bruised but overall still capable of standing tall on his own two feet. Gohan was impressed. For despite Gohan not using his full strength behind the Kamehameha, he still put a lot into it, which would have given an average man more than he could handle. So the fact Goten was still relatively unharmed from the attack, proved to Gohan that his younger brother was something special as a fighter, regardless of his lack of continuous training in the past several years or so.

"I have no doubt Dad would be, Goten!" Gohan replied with a confident grin, "We both have come a long way since we were kids but I'm quite certain that our vast potential has only just surfaced. So there is still a lot for the both of us to learn and master. Which if you ask me is both exciting and terrifying. I mean, Dad always said there is no limit to our power and might. All we need to do is believe in ourselves and be willing to put in the hard work needed to continue on to the next level. And I have every intention to do just that. I'm sure you feel the same way, Goten. Otherwise you wouldn't be here, right now."

As Gohan spoke, he kept his sights on Goten as the younger Son sibling charged up his own Kamehameha. Bracing himself for impact, Gohan was ready for retaliation. However it was clear to him that though Goten had learned the technique, he still hadn't mastered it fully. Still Gohan knew not to take any attack Goten threw at him lightly. So with his guard heightened, Gohan got into a defensive stance. And sure enough a few moments later, Goten sent his own Kamehameha wave at his older brother.

Following Goten's suit, Gohan simply rose his arms out in front of him in a big X just as the attack barreled right at him. Gohan was pushed back a step or two by the sheer force but the attack really didn't have the kind of power needed to do much harm to someone like Gohan. Still it was a good effort and Gohan was still quite proud of his brother.

"Not bad, Goten. Not bad at all," Gohan said once the Kamehameha wave exploded and vanished into thin air, "You got the basic technique down, so that is a good start. You still need practice though, but that's why you are here for. Let's see if you can try that again, only this time I want you to really focus on your energy. The key to any Ki-based attack is to be one with it. You must learn to allow your Ki to flow freely in you. Let it become a part of you. Think you can do that Goten?"

Goten watched as his Kamehameha wave roared at his older brother, Gohan. His brother simply absorbed the attack Goten had forced at him. Goten stood normally as the dust faded from he explosion, looking at Gohan excitedly. "Haha! That's the first time it actually worked!" he said to Gohan who was almost completely unharmed from the ki wave.

Goten began to smile as Gohan was speaking about his technique. Obviously Goten needed work, but that's why he tracked his oldest brother down. Gohan seemed to have mastered a lot of techniques since Goku has gone to train. Whether it's a Marti a arts technique or energy, Gohan seemed to catch on to things quickly, So teaching them after he mastered them is something he seemed to enjoy.

Goten then smirked, planting his feet into the ground once more. His mind was now more clear and ready for this attempt. Goten cupped his hands, bring his energy from his planted feet, cocking his arms back. Suddenly a blue orb a pure energy formed in the cupped hands. Goten felt himself and the energy inside began to roar. He closed his eyes and calmed the feeling. Goten then looked at Gohan once more. The orb in his hands now growing with each passing second. "Kaaa.....meeee....haaaa...meee..." Goten paused and smirked at his older brother, knowing this time it was coming at him with full power. Goten pushed both arms forward. "HAAAAAAAA!!" the blue ki wave came darting at Gohan with great speed. Electrical sparks cruised around the wave as it was aimed for the chest of Gohan.

Gohan was on guard. His younger brother may not have possessed the same martial arts discipline that Gohan had but Gohan was not a fool. He knew that Goten had always been in possession of the utmost rawest potential in the family. For even growing up, Gohan often at times believed Goten to be the best out of the Son Family when it came to learning and adapting to the ins and outs of martial arts. After all, Goten was the quickest among them to learn Super Saiyan. He also was able to learn the Fusion Dance with his best friend Trunks at such a young age. Goten could have been just as great, if not a greater combatant than Gohan or even their Dad if only Goten had kept up with his training over the years. But Gohan could fault his younger brother, for Gohan had been quite complacent himself for such a long time. And thus the struggle to regain what he previously had was indeed just that. A struggle.

But Gohan had been persistent and determined and though it took quite some time, Gohan was confident that he not only reclaimed his former glory but had far surpassed it as well. This was something Gohan felt was obtainable for Goten. He just needed the right push and plenty of encouragement.

So when Goten powered up another Kamehameha wave, Gohan was well aware of the situation at hand. That though it was more a teaching moment for Goten than an all out war, Goten was looking to prove his worth.

"That's good to hear! It means you are improving...and quite well I might add," Gohan chimed in just before Goten unleashed his second Kamehameha.

Gohan had a plan to deal with the attack. It was the same plan he had on the previous one, raising his hands out in front of him to cross them in a big X, bracing himself for impact. Gohan was pretty sure he could survive the attack. He may end up with burns and bruises but that was okay with him. Like the old saying went, "No Pain. No Gain."

And that saying echoed inside of Gohan's mind as Goten's second Kamehameha wave came barreling at him, slamming into Gohan's arms with such sheer force it nearly knocked Gohan backwards and down onto his rear end. However, Gohan was able to keep his feet under him as the Kamehameha wave pushed him backwards several feet before exploding in a mighty roar, shaking the entire dojo and perhaps even the castle.

Seconds ticked back before the Kamehameha wave faded and the smoke cleared. Gohan stood there, indeed bruised and burnt, his training Gi a bit tattered and torn, but a big smile was plastered on his face.

"Now that's exactly what I'm talking about Goten! That was incredible!" Gohan exclaimed with a light approving laugh, "You keep pulling off stuff like that and you won't need me to guide and teach you soon enough! Haha!"

The Kamehameha wave seemed to crash into Gohan with great force. Goten moved from his stance and smirked. A deep sense of pride filled his heart. He looked at his brother and nodded. "Seems I do have it in me after all, haha." Goten let out a small laugh as the clouds settled.

Goten looked at his brother, noticing his attack did much more damage to him than he thought. Gohans gi was ripped and shredded from the blast. "You alright Gohan?" Goten knew his brothr was fine. This was Goten making a joke. A smile rose to his face as he walked over to his older brother. Goten poked him inhe chest. "It's your turn!" after Goten said those words, he vanished and reappeared behind Gohan with both hands connected and swinging them down towards the top of his head.

Goten was stronger than ever and truly wanted to see what Gohan was capable of. This attack was to kind of tick him off. Goten knew his brother would pull some inner strength out if he were to get angry. Their father has told Goten stories of Gohan fighting Cell. It was an incredible battle, but most of all an amazing sacrifice was made to save the earth and those on it.

"I'm fine, Goten. Nothing but slight burns and bruises. I will live," Gohan said reassuringly as he grabbed his Gi and pushed what was left of it down his waist to get it out of his way.

Gohan said those words with a bright smile, though in reality he did feel a dull aching pain traveling through his entire body, but it was nothing he couldn't endure. He had been through worse and that was not a knock at his younger brother's power. Goten had hit Gohan with a very impressive Kamehameha wave, especially considering how Goten was still relatively rusty in actual combat.

Gohan nodded at his brother as he heard Goten declare it was his turn, except before Gohan could react, Goten was already in the middle of attacking him. Gohan felt it coming, sensing his brother's energy but did not have the proper time to evade, so he took the blunt of the blow to the back of the head, which in turn caused Gohan to slam face first into the dojo floor. Gohan grunted out loud as he felt a rush of hot pain wash over his face. Slowly pushing up off the ground, Gohan shook his head, trying to gather his composure.

"Owwww....that actually stung a bit. But I thought it was my turn?" Gohan said as he rose to his feet before almost immediately a fiery yellow energy aura engulfed his body.

Gohan's power spiked in a flash in a terrifying manner as he charged right at Goten, looking to smack his skull straight into his younger brother's chest with such immense and incredible force. Gohan had not used the technique since he was a little boy. But recently Gohan had rediscovered it as he was able to master it quite well in his opinion.

The double axe handle seemed to work against his older brother. Once Gohan slammed face first into the dojo floor, a smirk appeared on Gotens face. He knew this would most likely do the trick and let Gohan show his younger brother some of his true power.

As Gohan slowly rose back to his feet, his power level spike tremendously. Goten smiled when the golden aura finally showed from around Gohan. Then in a flash It seemed Gohan planted his feet and jumped with his head aimed at Gotens chest. The attack seemed to be a blurr. Goten was struck in the chest and knocked back against th dojo wall. The walls of the whole dojo shook as these two super saiyans continued to prove their worth.

Goten scraped himself from the wall and back to the floor with a smile. "Is that a new technique?" Goten said as he wiped the dirt from his gi. Quickly the saiyan hybrid dashed at his super saiyan brother with a swift flurry of punches towards his face, followed by a quick kick towards the ribcage.

Goten was happy that his brother transformed, but that only meant that Goten would have to try and keep up with Gohan.

"New? Not exactly," Gohan said with a smirk as he back away slowly from the flying fists that were coming right at him, "It was the first attack I ever did use. Way back when I was a kid, when this saiyan named Raditz, who just so happened to be dad's older brother and our uncle, came to Earth to do the job that our dad was suppose to do. Which was to destroy and conquer Earth. Anyways, long story short, Raditz tried to kidnap me and kill our dad along with Mister Piccolo. So in a fit of rage I took Raditz out with the very same attack I just used. I never used it again till recently, when I was able to turn it into a more refined technique."

As Gohan explained things to his younger brother, he took a hard shot to the ribs. A devastating kick that rocked Gohan to the core, causing him to stagger a bit. However Gohan was far from out as he simply smiled and started to plan his next attack.

"Yeah I guess after awhile, all the time you spend training, you end up going back to the very beginning," Gohan added.

(Just a heads up, I didnt go Super Saiyan. I simply used an old technique I did as a kid. Back when Raditz came to town.)
