Rain came down in sheets, battering the bus Kenshin currently sat in. The bus in question was headed to Gatz's Haven, the next stop in this adventure called life. Kenshin sat motionless, head against the bus window, lost in his own thoughts about his life up until this point. Here I am...I was ready to go when I first decided that I was going to travel to Gatz's Haven. Now that it's happening.....it's surreal. It feels like none of this is real, like I'm still sitting in my house, sleeping and dreaming about it. Kenshin's head reactively turned towards the noise that rang out. The roof of the bus was knocked upon by a higher ranking Final Heaven soldier. Solider To your feet, Grunt. We're at the check in station. Shooting straight up to his feet, Kenshin quickly scooped up his helmet, custom made to fit him and his fighting style. He then shuffled out of his seat and made his way towards the front of the slowing vehicle. The bus came to a halt, the breaking screeching out into the night. AS Kenshin stepped off the bus and into the soggy earth, he realized something. Something about this feels....right. It feels like home. He took a deep breath before his attention was snapped back to reality harshly. Soldier Attention Grunts! In his head, Kenshin figuratively rolled his eyes at that. That's right. With Finael Heaven, there were no names. Not unless you ranked higher than your average grunt... He spun on his heels, standing at attention. Soldier Welcome to Final Heaven. From now on, you have no names. You are grunts, you are here and you are expendable. Now move your asses! Report to Boot camp! The soldiers began barking out orders and Kenshin hurriedly followed the other grunts around him. Being funneled into the huge city, they fell in line. Not wanting to lose his helmet or get in trouble for not having his proper uniform on, Kenshin quickly pulled the small device out of his pocket. His helmet, which he had condensed down to regular size seconds before he stepped off the bus, would simply fit around his hand. Holding the device flat on his palm, he put his hands together and pulled them apart. The device expanded with them and the Grunt placed his helmet near his head and pushed it onto the top of his skull. The device recognized his heat signature and wrapped around his head. As it closed over his face, his eye slots lit up, giving him an highly informative heads up display. His helmet had built in heat sensors and scanners, allowing it scan vital signs. He blinked a few times, getting used to the darkness inside the helmet. ![]() Not even going to lie....it feels good to be back in my battle gear. The grunts filed into Final Heaven, lining up one after one. His helmet picked up several approaching heat signatures, most likely belonging to the high ranking soldiers approaching the group. Here we go... This is the grunt life. It's time to start getting used to it. wc: 501 twc: 501 |
