Videl nodded her head and placed her hands at her hips, adopting what could be described as a heroic stance. She was glad to hear that Nyx and Mizuna were going to take care of these goons, and in the way that she felt was appropriate. To celebrate, she proceeded to perform another set of poses, listening closely as Nyx explained that Mizuna was having some difficulty controlling herself in her Super Saiyan state. She knew from her talks with Gohan over the years that he used to find his emotions out of control before he had mastered his Super Saiyan form. "Have no fear citizen, I understand perfectly! I am sure with some investment and practice, she too can learn to control herself perfectly! Now, let us deal with these criminals! For Justice!" she said to Nyx as she turned her attention to the criminals and performed a pose. WC: 149 TWC: 812 |

"Don't apologise on my behalf, Nyx." she growled, "I wasn't actually going to kill them; I know what this means to you. I'm not that lax with my power. It just pisses me off that no matter how many times you throw these bastards behind bars, they come back out and do the same thing they did to get put inside." first it was the criminals pissing her off, now it was this woman and her posturing. For justice, eh? "Fine, we'll do it your way. No killing." Apparently to her 'justice' meant staying within the confines of the system and allowing non-repentant criminals to continue repeating the crimes that had them incarcerated in the first place. There was a two word term for justice that had no power; lip service. Mizuna wasn't some diplomat who dealt in pleasing the ears of people around her; she was a Saiyan. She preferred action to making the job of politicians easy. Mizuna began another charge towards the criminals. Intent on knocking them unconscious rather than sending their heads flying off their shoulders. She decided a light tap at the back of the neck would do it. She didn't need the entire side of her palm to chop a dude's neck while she was in the Super Saiyan form. Besides, after the little 'test' she'd be able to let loose all she liked. Nyx was relieved that she had managed to calm down the situation for the time being. It seemed as though Videl understood the dangerous of the transformation, so Mizuna's words didn't absolutely ruin things. Still, Mizuna was definitely in a less forgiving move in this state, and was implying that the only reason she was holding back at all was for her sake. It also revealed a darker side of her friend that she suspected existed, but couldn't confirm up until now. Mizuna wasn't completely domesticated by Earth like some of the other Saiyans she had met on this planet. "Some repeat their crimes, some learn from their mistakes. The human justice system is complicated and I haven't fully looked into it. It does seem like they need a better solution though. Still, we should work with what we have right now." Nyx decided to limit the movement of the criminals by flying in close, aiming to sweep their legs out from all of them, and aimed a series of soft punches and kicks to incapacitate them. For those not in the range of the physical attack, she threw more iceballs of them. The shape ensured that they wouldn't recieve open wounds from it and she made sure the velocity wasn't high enough to do any damage. Hopefully they would be able to calm the situation down relatively quickly. [WC=231] [TWC=1,406] |

Videl quickly took the kid that was being held hostage by the crooks, and proceeded to quickly sprint over to the cops. Patting his head, she watched as the cops took the kid in their protection, and she was quick to sprint back to Nyx and Mizuna, who were being knocking out the criminals one by one. She pulled out a capsule and summoned a pile of handcuffs, which she started using to bind their hands behind their backs. She made sure to get every crook they knocked out, and took them one-by-one to the police until they were all captured. When that was done, she proceeded to perform a number of poses in celebration, before she then spoke up to Nyx and Mizuna. "Another victory for justice! Follow me fellow crime fighters so we may speak in private! You will now finally get what you seek! Justice away!" she said, before she then took off into the air, heading away from the city after informing them that have been judged trustworthy enough to get the information they sought after. Mizuna shot the criminals and the police one last sharp look before she crouched low and pushed her aura up around her small body, flying after the woman who bared a strong ki signature resemblance to the Videl Satan that she and Nyx had met previously. For whatever inane reason, she had assumed a disguise on top of the infuriating stipulation that no deaths could directly occur as a result of her or Nyx's intervention. "I wouldn't call it a 'victory' for justice. You've just postponed most of them from repeating a similar thing. They won't have learned a thing from that mercy, so I don't really get why you asked for them not to be killed." Mizuna shared her concerns with the non-finalist form of punishing criminals for dishonourable conduct. The braided Saiyan female glanced down at the people as she flew over head, giving the child that had been saved by their actions a little warm smile and a two-finger salute. If they bring harm to you when they get out, I'll break them for good, next time. Mizuna wasn't telepathic in the least bit so her message probably wouldn't be received, but that was fine; it was more of a promise to herself than anyone else. A bit of soul searching was probably on the 'next to do' list for her, but for now she was satisfied with 'fighting to protect the smiles of tomorrow' as a reason beyond fighting stronger people for the hell of it. 248 Words 1.295 Total |

Nyx flew silently behind the two of them, slightly annoyed at Mizuna's disapproval of how they handled the criminals. To be more specific, she was slightly annoyed that Mizuna had given voice to her disapproval. It was perfectly alright to disagree with something if you kept it to yourself. There were times where it was necessary to voice your thoughts. Outside of that though, keeping things to yourself was the correct course of action. Letting your emotions ruin things you were looking for could end up resulting in harsh consequences if you weren't careful. Mizuna was the kind of person to voice most of her thoughts. If she didn't like something, she immediately told someone that she hated it. Decisions people made, the personality of someone, Mizuna did not hold back with her criticisms. It was something that the Sigerian was going to have to talk to the Saiyan about later on: Nyx didn't want her rash behavior getting in the way of important business. Still, Mizuna did have a point about the criminals. The various criminal justice systems that the humans utilized were fundamentally flawed. It was very well likely that they would be released without changing their ways. Videl was idealistic and believed that in the best of humanity. That if given a second chance some people could turn their lives around and do good. Mizuna's view was more cynical, believing in the worst of humanity and thinking that there was no redemption for these criminals. That they would continue to do crimes even after their jail sentence. Naturally Nyx leaned towards this line of thought, since Mizuna's view was more grounded in reality. It is very likely that they will be repeat offenders. There are likely some humans who change their ways as a result of being sent to prison. Those cases would be few and far in between though. At the end of the day, two things are likely to result. Either they don't change or the prison system makes them worst. Statistically that's more likely to happen. Videl's dream is nice, but it's only that, a dream. Solving the problem in this matter is just putting a bandage over a wound without applying all the necessary treatment. It doesn't cause the problem: it just covers it up temporarily. Nyx didn't share her thoughts with either of the other two people she was flying with. Still Nyx thought about the interesting view that she had on humanity. It was likely biased since she was a member of this race, but believing in the best in people fruly was a wonderful way at looking at things. Realistically though, there would always be people like this as long as humanity remained divided. Only The Creed of The One was capable of uniting everyone and creating a peaceful society. It was the philosophy that Nyx believed in for her entire life. There was no other way to create unity between divided individuals and species in Nyx's mind. Only when they became one could there truly be peace. [WC=504] [TWC=1,910] Edited by Nyx, Oct 19 2016, 12:47 PM.

Videl lead them to a small clearing in a forest away from the city, far enough away from any people who might be able to overhear them. She then pressed the buttons on her watch to switch out of her Great Saiyawoman outfit, and cracked her neck. It was fun being in the suit and fighting crime, but it was just as fun being her normal self. She then looked at the two with a grin on her face, having a feeling they might want to know how she got the idea of dressing up like a superhero and fighting crime as her alter ego. "Sorry about that, my half-Saiyan husband dressed up as someone called the Great Saiyaman back when we were in highschool and convinced me to go around saving the day with him" she said to the two alien women, before she adopted a serious expression on her face face, and switched the tone of conversation. "I suppose you'll be wanting your information now. I shall give it to you now, under the condition that you swear not to tell anyone else what I'm going to tell you. Swear it to me here once more, and I'll tell you, that's a promise, and I never break my promises" she said to them. WC: 214 TWC: 1,205 Edited by Taoranran, Nov 12 2016, 03:14 PM.

Anyone with half a brain, the ability to sense ki and basic voice recognition could have told that this 'Great Saiyawoman' was none other than the girl who was plastered all over Martial Arts propaganda in the big city alongside a guy with a huge afro and sideburns that made him look just as silly. "You're right; we do want our information now. You've made us jump through enough hoops, I think." Mizuna was grateful that the 'test' didn't involve having to wear gi over a jumpsuit with a cape and make silly poses that reminded her of the Ginyu Tokusentai. "I will swear it to you again, if that's the condition and if I don't have to wear that joke of a costume just to do what I think is right. Unlike you and your husband, I don't need a joke of a costume to...dish out...what was the word you used? Oh, yes; justice. One day, you're going to have to do something about the bastards who trample upon others. You know full well your law system won't do a damn thing to address the problem. SOMEONE HAS TO MAKE SURE REAL JUSTICE IS SERVED!" Mizuna for the most part managed to keep her ki under control, though small bursts of it did jolt around her in lightning sparks. She still felt intensely passionate about the whole leaving the victims and their oppressors with the revolving prison door law system. It didn't sit right with the fiery red-haired Saiyan! Those people would likely just get caught up in another incident like that one just by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. In her, anger still resonated as well as the desire to punish those who targeted the powerless. Such despicable absence of a code of honour needed to be met out with a punishment so severe that it would send a powerful echo that would stomp out the problem at it's very core. "That's Enough!" Nyx didn't raise her voice too much, but there was a definite authority and coldness that wasn't there before. If the tone that Nyx's voice had suddenly had wasn't an indication that she was annoyed at the red-haired Saiyan, then the glare she was giving her was. Sometimes Mizuna was a little too open minded for Nyx's taste. Unfortunately, the damage had likely been done. Nyx was going to do her best to salvage the situation though. Nyx cleared her throat, her expressing fading back to a more passive one as she addressed Videl. "Mizuna is still a bit on edge from a debate we had earlier. I apologize for the things she has said. Still I do agree that we've done quite a few tasks in order to get the information that you seek. We both swear to tell no one else about what we're about to hear from you." Nyx could now only hope that Videl would still give them the information, despite what Mizuna had just said. The things she said had a real good chance of completely breaking apart any chance they had in learning what they needed to know. Nyx was not going to be very happy with her new companion if that was the case. [WC=214] [TWC=2,124] |

Videl narrowed her eyes in an angry manner when Mizuna spoke up about the justice system of Earth in the way she did. She was about to jump into action, when Nyx spoke up and broke up the potential fight that was going to take place between them. She calmed herself down by taking several deep breaths, hearing her say that she promised they wouldn't tell a soul. She was a woman of her word, and as such she would keep her word and tell them what they wished to know, so she nodded her head and let them in on the secret. "Very well, listen closely. I assume that both of your races are aware of the Namekians. The Namekians created a set of magical items known as Dragon Balls, and how they work is that you assemble all seven, and call upon a Dragon sealed inside of the balls that, when released, will grant you a certain amount of wishes, 2 for the Earth Dragon, and 3 for the Namekian Dragon. The wishes can be anything like granting Immortality, creating a new planet or bringing back a destroyed one, resurrecting the dead, wishing for more power, restoring your death, etc. The Dragons' powers are limited so they won't be able to grant some wishes, but it was the Earth Dragon that allowed Gohan and I to restore the Ox Kingdom. Now that you know this, I hope you realize why this secret needs to be kept" Videl explained to them in a serious manner. WC: 255 TWC: 1,460 |
