Krillin’s bracing for the eventual sneak strike paid off, he managed to land his retaliating elbow strike to his relief. At this point he didn’t even mind he follow up palm strike being blocked, it gave him enough time to recover after with his head still slightly ringing from Izuku’s last blow. “I could say the same to you!” the monk replied to his former student with a grin as his flip kick didn’t land directly but still hit his foe. The human’s eyes widened when Izuku shot at him from the ground, and promptly crossed his arms in a braced block as the overhead kick landed hard, even making his arms vibrate at the sheer force of the attack, if the cracking ground wasn’t evident enough of his power. Krillin then pushed himself off and flew back, that stunt pretty much disabled his arms for a bit. Changing his attack pattern, he flew straight at Izuku, then sent a barrage of fast flying kicks at the hybrid’s face once he got in range. Izuku grinned when his attack struck, jarring the Turtle Hermit's arms, and lunged backward in time to bring his own arms up to defend against his opponent's barrage of kicks. Changing his mind almost immediately, he drifted upward and lunged back at Krillin, his own legs coming up to crash against Krillin's with the motto of the best defense is the best offense. With his legs stinging, he pushed back and proceeded to block and dodge the small remainder, and shook his arms when the Turtle hermit was done. He's strong, but I've grown stronger, so this isn't a half-bad bout of fighting. Izuku drifting toward the ground and crouched, concentrating for the briefest of moments with the Ki along his arms and legs, and in barely a second a crackle had rang through the air. His muscles tensed with pent-up energy and strain, and when he let himself go, it was much like a rocket lifting off. The tiles shattered as his energy detonated, propelling him forward across the short space between the two fighters, and with a groan of struggling against the air, he flipped himself around to focus the momentum into a kick aimed straight at the bald man's chest. ![]() Total Chance amount; 17 You rolled a Chance%: 1! |

Krillin was forced to play things safer until his arms had recovered from blocking Izuku’s last attack, and found his kicks defended against so promptly pushed off it once he distanced himself again. Now his legs hurt with therm clashing after, looking curiously at what he was going to do next. “What is he doing?” the monk wondered, as it was sometimes hard to read Izuku’s not as flashy movements compared to the usual student he taught. He was caught in the fierce flying kick, right in the chest and pushed him alongside its driving forces. However Krillin took the opportunity to grab hold of Izuku’s ankle despite how bad his body was hurting, he was not one to let openings like that slip, even if it meant more pain in exchange. “I admit that hurt, so time for me to return the favour…” he said with a weak grin. Krillin then flew up into the air and then spun Izuku around several times before tossing him to the ground for a hopeful speedy and destructive impact with the ground below them. (Izu is Sasuke and Krillin is Naruto)Izuku expected the kick to land, but didn't expect Krillin to recover so fast, or attack as hard as he had been. First the Turtle Hermit grabbed his ankle despite the Hybrid's squirming, then used a mix of Ki and momentum to spin the half-Saiyan around several times until the audience became a blur to Izu's trained eyes, and finally let go. He grunted when he hit the ground, his flare of Ki unable to stop his momentum and instead barely slowed it down, and caused a series of craters in the middle of the ring. I hope they don't make us pay for damages, he thought off-handedly while trying to recover from the fearsome throw. His entire back hurt, he was struggling to draw in air, and he couldn't see straight, but after a few moments Izu was able to stand and draw breath. The Saiyan's silver-white Ki burst into existence around his body, the energy a foreshadow of what was to come when his brow furrowed, followed by his muscles tensing up along with a crackle of energy--this time a yellow bolt phasing into and out of existence while coiling around the hybrid's energy. A flash briefly overtook the stadium as he roared, his energy snapping into place and blossoming outward, transforming into yellow-gold along with his hair. "Let kick it up a notch, shall we, Krillin? I wouldn't normally do this, but you're strong, really strong, so I have to even the playing field. Take it as a compliment,--, he vanished from his spot and appeared directly behind Krillin, his fist descending in a flash as his explanation continued, this time much closer and behind the Turtle Hermit as a warning of sorts;==Okay?" Krillin didn’t want to lose the match because he was holding back too much, as long as he didn’t drag the crowd into the destruction’s range he should be good. He figured Gohan knew with such powered fighters there was every chance there was going to be some property damage of some kind. As he watched Izuku recover from the attack, Krillin too the time meanwhile to take a breather for himself. His former student had indeed become stronger, yet he was sure there was still more that both of them had yet to display yet. He looked visibly surprised at his transformation, but not shocked like some of the crowd were. “I’ll take it, so Super Saiyan huh, I shouldn’t surprised. Then I suppose it’s best that I match it…” he commented as he landed back on the ground. He slid his feet apart and clenched his fists in front of him, releasing his unlocked potential with a low growl as he powered up. He was now surrounded by a semi transparent white flame, making his appearance looking more battle defined. “All right, round two starts now!” Krillin declared, zig zagging his way towards Izuku with a bursts of speed that left a trail of afterimages in his trail to confuse his foe. He then came at the hybrid with an elbow drop from above, followed swiftly by an attempted knee to the back, then finishing off with kiai shockwave blast to launch him away. Izuku wasn't surprised with the transformation, figuring that his previous master was strong enough to unlock his race's hidden potential, and the fact that basically every race has a transformation or power boost of some kind. All the books he had read, the discussions with Nyx and Tanais, and even his own experience had proven that theory right so far, and until otherwise, he would always suspect that his opponents would have a trump card or two. However, that didn't mean he was expecting the Turtle hermit to gain that much speed to match what the legendary transformation gave the Hybrid, and Izu's body resorted to one of his trump dodges before he thought about acting upon it. His subconscious had detected the rapid change in Krillin's ki and the abrupt movement of it, and had forced his body to act before his mind could slow it down and keep it in harm's way. Izuku moved fast enough to leave a tangible clone in his place as he ducked and shot forward, going against instinct to move backward or to either side, and dodged the elbow drop in time to see his clone bend and contort with the blow before vanishing from sight. The knee strike, however, caught him along his raised arms and sent him skittering in a diagonal direction, which was further boosted into a backward roll from Krillin's destructive Kiai blast. He grunted and shrugged the pain to the side, his body telling him that he'd be feeling great later, and slowly walked up to Krillin. He paused for the barest of moments before his breathing calmed and he suddenly quieted, and took a step forward, then another. Each step left behind a slight trail of light--no, of the Hybrid, much like a motion blur but completely silent and more refined, until Izuku was walking in a complete circle around his bald opponent. ![]() With dozens of duplicates like the original, Izuku probed the Turtle hermit's defenses by doing a slight variation of movements, moving first one way and then the other to get a feel, before he found an opening to act upon. It was small, almost non-existent for Krillin was an experienced fighter, but so was Izuku, and that allowed him to breach the gap in their power, or at least he thought anyway. He dashed forward, the duplicates mimicking the movement almost instantaneously, the hybrid collecting Ki into his fist while closing the distance and aimed to strike Krillin in the back. If his attack struck, he would discharge the pent up energy in a violent, pinpointed burst to hopefully knock the Hermit unconscious or inflict massive damage, even if he didn't hit the intended area. ![]() You rolled a Chance%: 9! |

Krillin know he had now indeed kicked it up a notch with their new level of powers now apparent, which included their speed too. Izuku seemed to match his speed and maybe go beyond it to dodge his first elbow drop, but his got hit by his follow up knee strike to the monk’s relief. He took the opportunity and that kiai blast sent his foe rolling, then smiled as he lowered his outstretched hand. The human waited patiently as Izuku slowly approached him again, Krillin himself sliding back into a defensive stance at the ready. “That’s quite a peculiar version of the after image technique…” he noted, now finding himself surrounded by them. The monk smirked though, too bad this trick was nothing new to him. As the images lunged at him, Krillin calmly close his eyes and focus on his ki. He propelled himself into the air last second to dodge the strike aimed at his back, the strike instead hitting the side this ankle instead. “Gargh!” With a growl of pain he felt like a bomb had exploded from inside his foot at the ki was discharged through it. Floating in the air now, he found his foot now look and feel pretty much limb and useless. “With that intensity of power, you wanted to finish things with that move didn’t you?” Krillin inquired his former student with a half smile, he would properly if his foot wasn’t killing him slowly with pain alone. “Then I hope you don’t mind some payback for that!” he declared, raising his arm into the air, palm stretched out and facing upwards. Soon he formed a golden disk of spinning energy, lightly humming like a chainsaw at its ki vibrations. ![]() “Destructo Disk!” Krillin announced, pulling his arm back and then sent it flying towards Izuku. The hybrid's eyes narrowed as he gazed upon the Turtle Hermit, watching while feeling the Ki change and take form above his hand, which flashed into existence and revealed a spinning disk of Ki. "This is bad, if I take that, It'll probably cut off a limb....unless...he thought, puzzlement etched into his features as he debated about what to do, and swore when Krillin threw it at him. Quickly reaching deep into his psyche, he bowled his way through the door that held the next stage of the Super Saiyan transformation and transformed into it, the rapid change of his Ki output and density flaring outward toward the Ki Razor. Simultaneously, he also reached out with his mind and grasped Krillin's attack, feeling it slow down and then stop...but he wasn't fast enough. An inch, if not two had burrowed it's way through the plethora of Ki that surrounded his body and cut its way into his chest, drawing blood immediately that hit the ground below. Grimacing and grunting in pain, he moved his hands forward with his mind and grasped the blade after focusing every ounce of energy into his palms, and pulled it free with a sickening spurt of his life essence. Howling in rage and pain, he spun in a tight arc and let the disk go, redirecting the fearsome attack toward the Turtle Hermit before hitting the ground and bending his knee in the process. Izuku's hands grabbed at the wide, deep wound, doing his best to staunch the bleeding before looking up to see if his redirection had worked. He was happy if he lost, for he had learned a lot today, but his Saiyan blood regretted losing, which ultimately always left him conflicted and annoyed with himself. Krillin didn’t intend to hurt Izuku with his destructo disk, but force him to react to it and forcefully using up and his ki and stamina while doing so, a draining tactic that was his favourite to use. His eyes widened as he couldn’t believe what he was attempting and even managed to do, forcefully redirecting the attack back at him. “Damn it!” Surprised and having little time to react, the monk quickly let out a shout and full body kiai blast to cancel the razor energy coming his way. He barely managed to make it explode in front of him, with the front of his body getting caught up int he explosion that caused light but visible burns to the point his go was smoking. He then resumed his stance and was about to rush at Izuku, when he heard the ending signal. And suddenly their ten minutes were up, now it was up to the judges to determine he had done the most damage to the other. Chance Roll Total = 2+2+5+6+0+3+10+6 = 34/35 Izuku's: 29+7 = 36/35 (WINNER!) The crowd cheered and applauded as the timer buzzed loudly, indicating that the ten minute time limit had expired. The Group stage wasn't meant to cause the participants to go all out. That was suppose to be saved for the second stage, but when you had fighters of the caliber like Krillin and Izuku, even the simplest of bouts were going to be intense and entertaining, and this time around was no exception. It was clear that both men had their moments, inflicting damage and having the upper hand here and there but only one could walk out of the bout victorious. Hamilton was discussing things with the officials for quite some time, taking every thing in consideration. Technique, amount of damage, successful blows landed, etc. Hamilton finally nodded in agreement with the officials before stepping into the center of the tournament ring, "Ladies and gentlemen, the ten minute time limit has expired and with no clear winner prior to that, the decision has gone to the judges. And believe me it was a very difficult decision as both participants clearly gave it their all in this bout. However, only one can win this match...therefore...the winner of this bout of a judge's score of 3-2...IZUKU!" Hamilton's announcement caused the crowd to erupt in a massive applause of mixed shock and approval. In the end though, it really didn't matter who won in the judges eyes, both Krillin and Izuku were winners in the eyes of the audience. |
