The sun was shining brightly, with the clear blue sky hanging over her head. The wind whipped through her hair as Nyx flew towards the Ox Village, tracking a power signature she was very well acquainted with. This was not the first time Nyx had come to this newly resurrected kingdom, and it certainly wouldn't be the last. Nyx had decided to move things forward now. She surprisingly had managed to get nearly everything she needed in such a short period of time. Thanks to Videl, getting the rest of what she needed wasn't going to be as time consuming as it would have been initially. Not to mention that some things that were beyond her grasp were suddenly in reach. Earth has proved to be a godsend to me. It's a shining gem in an otherwise dark and bleak universe. Unfortunately strong evil even exists here. I'll do all I can to stop it from spreading, but in the end it's up to the heroes of Earth to save their planet. My true battle lies elsewhere. It will not happen soon, but it will happen. Nyx flew down about a mile away from the city, landing on her feet and walking slowly towards the village. She didn't want to alarm anyone there by dropping into it directly. Most humans still weren't used to the concept of individuals using ki to perform certain actions. She hadn't flown directly into the village that time around, so she didn't have to touch down on the ground and she stayed out of sight. Nyx entered the village and walked through it, intentionally turning off her power suppression technique to let her presence be known. Nyx could appear to be on the level of a human whenever she wished to, although in this case it was disadvantageous. It would have been rude to come in completely unannounced. This way Videl would be able to sense her approach and have time to prepare for their meeting. Nyx made her way the Center Square, through the bustling crowd towards Videl's energy signature. She got a few strange looks for her hair color and choice of clothing, but she paid them no mind. None of them were going to harm her over her looks, so she was going to wear proper clothing. She spotted Videl interacting with some villagers on the other side of the square. She slowly walked over towards her, making sure to keep some space between them. She wasn't going to interrupt her from wherever she was doing over there. The powerful human would come to her when she was ready to do so. [WC=441] Edited by Nyx, Sep 16 2016, 11:55 AM.

Videl smiled at the elderly woman that she was talking with, loving the woman's love for life and simple nature. She had become enamored with the people of the Ox Kingdom upon seeing how simple their lives were. This was a place that didn't have to worry about the wars of the rest of the world, a place that was peaceful and free of people like the Red Ribbon and Black Bow Armies. This was truly a nice and peaceful place, and she saw why Chi-Chi enjoyed her childhood life here among the peaceful people of the warm Fie Mountain. However, before she could continue her conversation with her and the other villagers, she sensed the Ki of Nyx approaching quickly. This caused her interest to peak a bit, even more so when she felt that Nyx had grown a bit stronger than before. She was curious as to why Nyx was coming here again, and deduced that she most likely wanted more information from her. In a flash, she saw Nyx appear out of the crowds and into her line of sight, but she did not approach her as she clearly wanted to wait for her to finish up her conversation. "It's been nice talking with you all, but I have some business I need to attend to, so if you'll excuse me" she said with a smile on her face as she quickly moved away to talk to Nyx. She walked towards her with a purpose, looking to talk with her and enjoy herself. Despite the differences in their thinking, she saw Nyx as a splendid person to talk to, someone she could trust and share ideals with. Nyx was a very interesting person, considering her Race's nature, which contrasted that of the nature of her own race in particular. Quickly making her way over to Nyx, she smiled at her and performed a bow to show she was greeting her with respect. She didn't speak up immediately, though, instead preferring to wait until Nyx had returned the bow with one of her own. When she did so, then she would speak to her, as she felt it was only right to exchange greetings of respect between the two of them. The moment Nyx returned the bow, she spoke up, and in a respectful manner as well. Her smile widening that ever so slight bit, she proceeded to talk to Nyx. "It's been a while Nyx, I can see you've gotten stronger than the last time we met. I presume you would like more information, or did you come to make small talk?" she asked with a grin on her face to let the alien know she was relaxed. Her posture was guarded and ready to spring into action at any moment just like that of a seasoned Martial Artist, but she her tone and the way she spoke let her know she was relaxed. After all, she felt she could trust Nyx to not attack her and stab her in the back. WC: 502 |

Nyx returned the gesture that Videl used for their greeting, giving her a quick bow. Normally Nyx wouldn't have given a greeting like that to someone. However, Videl's status fit the protocol that was used when treating members of high stature in society or were rulers of some kind. The Ox Kingdom was small, but it was still a kingdom. Videl was also unbelivably strong. What made her strength all the more impressive was that she was a member of a race that contained a populous who's majority didn't even know Ki existed. Yet Videl had shot past all of them and now could go toe to toe with some of the fiercest fighters in the universe. There were still fighters above her out there, but her accomplishments were nothing short of miracles. If pushing herself to that level of power when she started out with almost none wasn't enough to get the upmost respect, the there was nothing anyone could do to get respect. "I've regained a bit of my former strength. I'm not at the level I need to be at just yet. I wish I was here for just small talk or even just information, but today I have come to ask for a favor, and to give you information that will explain why I need this favor. I ask that you accompany me for a walk through the village and to a secure location. I request that you take me to a more secure location, where we can discuss these important matters without anyone overhearing us." Nyx followed Videl through the town, taking in the sights, sounds, and smells around her. The configuration , architecture, and the bustling small crowd reminded her of an event that occurred long ago in her life. Hopefully today's venture would turn out as well as they did on that day. "This village has become quite lively despite it coming into existence only recently. You and your family know how to efficiently run a kingdom and sustain it. How did you get all these people to come here in that time period? I'm curious as to how you attracted people to a kingdom that just appeared out of nowhere. Quite a few members of your race are a superstitious lot, so I'd imagine a kingdom appearing out of nowhere might make some of them suspicious. Despite that though, you've created thriving villages and filled it with people. Tell me, did you have a festival to celebrate the rebirth of the Ox Kingdom? Or was it s more humble, quiet affair?" Nyx said that she wasn't there for small talk, but that didn't mean she would engage in it when she could. She was naturally curious as to some things about the Ox Kingdom, and now seemed like a good opportunity to get one of the more minor questions out of the way. It was good to have a conversation that was light before getting into the heart of the matter: their conversation alone wasn't going to be a casual affair. [WC=510] [TWC=951] |

Videl raised an eyebrow up in curiosity when Nyx said she was here to ask for a favor, and nodded her head to show she was going to lead them off to a place where they could talk in private. She could tell that whatever it was Nyx wanted, it was something big, and perhaps even personal, which was why she was asking for some privacy. She didn't know what she wanted just yet, but Nyx was someone she trusted, respected, and liked, so she felt no problem with leading her away to somewhere more private so they could talk. "Of course Nyx, I'd be happy to lead you somewhere more private. Follow me" she said, before she turned on her heel and walked towards a more secluded area so they could talk. She could tell from the sound of footsteps behind her that Nyx was following close by, and her curiosity was something that had always been dominant of her. It was why she hounded Gohzn during the days they were in high school in order to find out what his secrets were. It was something that had gotten her into trouble a number of times before in the past. She was most definitely very curious as to what it was Nyx wanted, but for the life of her she couldn't speculate. She knew plenty about Nyx, but there were so many possibilities on what she might wanted that she couldn't even guess what she would ask of her. Nyx was still a bit of an enigma despite the decent bond they formed with each other. So she was dying to know what she wanted, but she would wait until they were more properly secure before she asked, as well as wait for her to ask what she wanted to ask. Hearing her speak up again snapped her back into reality, and she looked over her shoulder at her. "All of the people in the Ox Kingdom were either around before it disappeared, or are descendants of Ox Kingdom subjects. All of these people here in the Kingdom are rightful citizens of the Ox Kingdom, loyal subjects or relatives of loyal subjects who were more than happy to help repopulate the Kingdom. While there is still some resentment for what the Ox King Gyumao, my Grandfather-In-Law, did back when he was a tyrant, people have forgiven him and moved back over here. We did hold an inauguration ceremony for Gohan's Mother Chi-Chi to become the new Ox Queen, and that's what attracted all the old subjects back. The fact that I was married into the Family had gotten the relatives curious, and people flocked in droves to it. That was our celebration, and ever since then the Kingdom has been running tight. It was a lot of hard work, but we managed to pull it off. It helps that most of the subjects are simple country folk who are used to living a rural kind of life, too" she said to Nyx honestly. Nyx followed closely behind Videl, her attention now focused on the black-haired human as she explained the history of the kingdom and its inhabitants. Those humans who waited all those years must have patience that rivaled her own. They had hoped beyond hope that the kingdom would be restored and they could live there again, and their wish was miraculously granted. "You're blessed with truly devoted subjects. Some of them have waited a long time to return, and the defendants of those who used to life in the kingdom answered the call and came to you. They deserve the upmost respect for that loyalty." When Videl brought up the correlation, a very distinct memory made its way up from the back of Nyx's mind and into her thoughts. A small smile spread across her lips as she closed her eyes. She was tuning most other things out so she could recall that memory more clearly. She still was directing a good amount of focus on Videl though; following her energy signature kept her on the right path towards their destination. "Sounds like it was a very grand event. I would have liked to have seen the celebration. The last experience I had during a celebration like this was a unique experience. I was visiting a village for the sake of a diplomatic mission. There was a festival going on at the location where I was to make negotiations. One of my daughters traveled with me to see the festivities. I didn't think much of them at first, although she made me appreciate them one fateful day." The memory was now the focus of the majority of Nyx's attention. All that mattered was following after Videl's energy signal, and recalling a time where she was in full control of her life. Flashback: Festival of Envion To visit planet Zekutren was to experience the past future coincide with one another. The resulting present was an interesting mix of modern and old tradition. The inhabitants of the planet, the Natrine, were both deeply connected to their homeworld and their environment, but realized the necessity of having a society with advanced technology. It allowed them to enter an environment of trade and commerce with other species. As such they only did the bare minimum of what they needed to have an advanced society. They had communications and ships that could travel a fair amount of distance. They had no advanced weapons to speak of though. The Natrine could use Ki, but weren't very skilled warriors. However they managed to become a major power with a combination of ingenuity and luck. Zekutren was in close proximity to the Cresent Belt, one of the largest asteroid fields in the galaxy. On the other side of the belt was both a primary trade route that lead to other parts of the Galaxy, and lead to a solar system with three other intelligent races. The Natrine allied themselves with the Wyvoids, who were the most powerful force in that solar system. They were given a free pass through the Natra Road, a system of barriers that the Natrine had set up to safely navigate the asteroid belt. Everyone else had to pay a significant toll to access it. The Natrine had a barrier that could counter planet destroying attacks, and it would take a year to go around the asteroid belt to the other side. Zekutren always got its toll, and not even the mightiest powers could avoid payment. That payment usually came in the form of metal and other resources a developed society needed. The Natrine did all they could to avoid damaging their homeworld. Their primary God governed nature and lived in the planet itself, according to Natrine religion. Whether or not their religion was actually true, the fact that they didn't mine their own resources now meant that Zekutren was a beautiful place to visit. The Natrine even let tourists come visit, but only after a long and extensive background check and a payment was made to the Natrine. Nyx's mission was simple on paper, but very complicated to pull off successfully. She would have to convince the Natrine to let their forces through the barrier to combat the Wyvoids, who were traitors to the Dominus Alliance. To do that, the Alliance would have to replace the Wyvoids as the force that helped enforce Zekutren's toll. It was the only way that they could expand the alliance and keep a connection between the division of the Alliance out here and the other parts of the Galaxy which they had domaine over. After a very vigorous screening process, Nyx made her way down to the planet with her daughter in tow. The Festival of Envion was going on: it was a three day event that celebrated the creation of their planet, their gods and goddesses, and their connection to all who lived on it. The Natrine cared for their planet as though it was a living being: they got all their metal from the asteroid field, what little they needed. Nyx had been annoyed that they had to do this during the large festival, since according to custom the first and third days were times for celebration only. Nyx had to come a day early to settle in and to show respect to the leaders of Zekutren. Nyx's daughter on the other hand was ecstatic to explore the festival. She ended up dragging her around the various stands, much to Nyx's annoyance. Volume 1 Issue 1: Nyx and Borialla at the Festival of Envion Nyx's daughter Borialla was grinning widely, dragging a very annoyed Nyx through the festival. Nyx was normally calm and composed, and well trained to mask her emotions even when she wasn't connected to the network. The Zekutren also blocked all known methods of communication: no traffic got through without their permission. Without the network to help filter her emotions and being with one of the few people who could easily get emotional interactions out of her, Nyx couldn't hide how irritated she was. "I don't know why you insist on getting involved in this event: it's a celebration that worships Gods that don't exist. It's a false celebration carried out by a race of over glorified extortionists. At least compose yourself and mask your emotions the best you can." Borialla turned at her, her eyes shining and that grin still on her face as she looked around. "I can't contain my excitement mother. This is the Festival of Envion! They've never let outsiders attend during it before now. There's just so much to do and learn. I want to see all of their customs and try everything!" "Just stay right next to me...BORIALLA!" Nyx's words fell on deaf ears as her daughter ran over to one of the stands. She let out an exasperated sigh as her daughter bought something. Her daughter was rarely phased by anything, and always seemed to be excited about something. She was a very unusual Sigerian. Borialla bounded back over to her, carrying two fruits that resembled pears. She handed one to Nyx, rolling the other around in her hands to inspect it. Nyx just stared at the fruit in her hand, having managed to gain a bit of her composure back. "The fabled Paradite fruit of Zekutren. It commends an outrageous price in the free galactic market and is unable to be cultivated anywhere other then this planet. Supposedly it simulates the taste of your favorite food. They hand it out like candy during the festival though. It likely won't taste like anything for us though." Nyx had recently eaten and had no need of nourishment. Besides, the rumors that others brought up about it were simply myths. There was no food in the world that could taste vastly different for multiple individuals. She was about to use a small energy ball to disintegrate it, when her daughter took a bite of her own paradite fruit She swallowed it, her blue eyes somehow shining even brighter. "It tastes just like a Emerald! Mother, you have to try this!" Nyx looked down at the fruit in her hand again skeptically. Sigerians were incapable of tasting organic food. They originally could only eat rock, metals, and crystal. The Sigerians had changed their biology so they could consume more common foods. The only food that had any flavor to them were the foods that their digestive system were originally designed to consume. Nyx raised it to her lips and took a bite, her eyes widening as an explosion of flavor bust in her mouth. When she was done with that piece, she looked down at the fruit in her hand with wonder, turning it over and examining it. "Absolutely marvelous. It tastes just like a Sapphire for me. How does it taste like that? We've never been able to get our hands on one of these fruits before." Borialla giggled, before taking another bite of her Paradite fruit. "Suit yourself mom. I'm going to enjoy mine to the fullest. You were very close to throwing away a taste of that wondrous fruit. You'd just be an icicle in the permafrost if I wasn't around. OHHHHH! THERE IT IS!" Borialla bonded off towards one of the other venues, with Nyx walking slowly after her. A smile spread across her lips as she watched her daughter get in the line that had formed. She was very strange and a handful, but she made her feel alive in a way that no one else did, or could do. Flashback over "I ended up having more fun then I expected. Although my expectations were rather low since I came there for the sake of a mission. She made the trip a event I fondly remember. I find festivals and celebrations very intriguing now. She would have loved coming to the inauguration ceremony." Nyx's voice trailed off at the end, and she didn't say another word. Thinking about her daughter brought up both the positive and negative emotions inside of her. As she remembered the good times with her daughter, she inevitably ended up thinking about the event that tore her life apart. Nyx would never forget that painful memory, for it was the one thing that was the biggest motivating drive for her goals. [WC=1,720] [TWC=2,671] Edited by Nyx, Sep 19 2016, 12:44 PM.

Videl nodded her head in an agreeing manner, as she considered the same thing. The subjects of the Ox Kingdom were impressively loyal, it was something she felt they deserved to be rewarded for. That was why she had gone around gifting a bunch of money to the various people to help them restart their lives. She had money to spare, being the daughter of the World Champ and 'Savior' like she was, plus now that she was the new Ox Princess, she felt she should give back to the subjects. It was only right to do so in her opinion. In fact, she was so impressed with their loyalty to their roots, that she had gone out and conversed with them numerous times to know them all by name and face. She wanted to memorize all of the subjects so that they were all are as familiar to her as her own family and friends were. She wouldn't stand for not knowing who these wonderful, loyal people were, not even the slightest bit. She was not going to stop until she memorized every detail about every Ox Kingdom citizen that she could possibly memorize, until she knew them all by heart. The fact that Nyx seemed to recognize them for this much like Videl did was refreshing, though the reason why she recognized it wasn't clear to her. As much as she knew about Nyx, there was still plenty she didn't know that still left her as kind of mysterious in her eyes. Nyx talked a lot about her own species and analyzed them in contrast to the Human Race, but she never really said a whole lot about herself. Videl decided not to pry for now, though, and instead decided to let Nyx come out of her shell and tell her on her own time. "I agree, the subjects are really loyal, and so patient. At the sound of the call, they came running in droves and helped reestablish the Ox Kingdom back to it's former glory. In fact, I would even go so far as to say that it's even better than before. Most in the cities would shrug them off as simple country folk, but simple isn't always bad. I lived a simple life with Gohan for many years in the countryside despite being a city girl and a celebrity arguably as famous as my father. Simple lives can be the most fulfilling, I found out" she said in a matter of fact tone of voice. When Nyx said she would have liked to see the event, Videl smiled in a sad manner, feeling a little guilt and regret for not inviting her. It was really only for family and the subjects of the Kingdom, though, so inviting her really wasn't an option. The Ox Kingdom was only important to those in the territory, and members of the Son Family. Of course King Furry would hold interest in it, but he would be at risk for coming, what with the likes of the Red Ribbon and Black Bow Armies running around. "I would have liked to invite you, but unfortunately it was only for family and subjects of the Ox Kingdom. The King of Earth himself, King Furry, would have gone as well, but with such enemies like the RRA and BBA out there, it's too dangerous for him to leave Central City. The other ruling members in their own territories, minus the BBA and RRA Leaders, were also invited, but they too were unable to leave their protection to come" she said in a regretful tone of voice about how Nyx and the other members of government were unable to come. She then switched over to chuckling a bit as she remembered one of her own memories on the subject. "Son Goku almost ruined the ceremony, though, because he had no idea what an inauguration was. He thought it was something bad and was trying to take Chi-Chi away before it could happen. My Father-In-Law may be strong and a fighting genius, but he's a little lacking in the knowledge department. He even thought marriage was a food" she said in an amused manner as she regaled the short story of the events with Goku to Nyx. Nyx then talked about going to a festival with one of her daughters, and Videl raised her eyebrow when she saw Nyx seemingly go into a trance. If she were to guess what was going on, she would assume that the memory in question was a particularly treasured memory for Nyx, and her reliving it was bringing up some good memories. So, out of respect for the Sigerian, the crime fighter stayed quiet and let her take her stroll down memory lane so she could remember the good times with this daughter of hers she mentioned. Nyx saying her daughter helped change her mind about ceremonies and celebrations had caused the Human to chuckle a bit to herself. She knew the feeling, as her own daughter tended to summon up feelings within her and bring about changes in her life. Things she used to be disinterested in, or outright hate, became things she enjoyed because of her Daughter. Back when she was in high school, she hated shopping as she considered it too girly and preferred training. When she got pregnant with Pan, though, she enjoyed shopping immensely, and the years that passed by didn't change that at all. "Children always bring about some kind of change within us that we don't expect. I remember back in high school that I hated shopping. I considered that girly and an annoying time waster, but when I got pregnant with my daughter Pan, it was as if my whole world changed. Now I love to shop, provided when I have the time for it. I enjoy it even more when I'm out shopping with Gohan. Ever since the spark of passion in our marriage rekindled, I just barely keep away from him for any length of time" she said to Nyx, letting out a few decidedly girly giggles that were completely unlike the serious, tomboyish fighter. Nyx really did miss the loyal soldiers and family members in her life right now. It wasn't a life that she wanted to return to, but having them right now would make things so much easier for her. Unfortunately, she was going to have to work with what she had right now. At the very least she had a plan in the works that would eventually lead to what she wanted. Earth gave her the means to carry it out as well. The blue planet gave her so much to work with. Unfortunately it also spawned new threats that she was going to have to take care of. The Red Ribbon Army and the Black Bow army that Videl happened to bring up were two threats that she needed to completely wipe out from the face of the universe. They were the same kind of people that she had pledged her life to in order to stop. "It's a sorry state of affairs when a King can't even travel throughout his own realm without the fear of death from an enemy force. I've read into the history of those organizations. There wasn't much to go on for the Black Bow Army since they're a fairly new force, but they were spawned as a result of the Red Ribbon Army's experiments, and there is plenty of information on them. That organization should have been wiped out a long time ago: it almost was. The reassurance it's going through now is quite unprecedented. If you want to make sure a worm is dead, chop it up into little pieces and throw them into a fire. Otherwise the parasite will come back in a new form. Dr.Gero escaped, and your whole race might face destruction because of that. There is hope left for your kind though, so there's no need to give into despair." Although that did raise an interesting question though. While she had done some research into the subject matter, recent events had made her understanding of things more complicated. Hopefully Videl would be able to clear those things up for her. "King Furry is in charge of the Kings Guard, and his title suggests a monarchy. You are in his territory, yet you also have declared this kingdom as independent. Not to mention the existence of other ruling factions outside of the enemies of humanity are a force on this planet as well. In light of recent events, I'm not sure of the answer to this question. Exactly how do the governments and ruling factions of Earth opporate in relation to one another?" Nyx got her first surprise when she heard about Goku's actions in response to certain events. Saiyans weren't exactly known for their intelligence, although they usually wern't as stupid as the rumors suggested they were. Although she didn't expect for Goku of all people to make mistakes like that, considering everything she heard about him so far. Nyx Surprised "He confused marriage with food? He's lucky he ended up with someone he came to love then. A mistake of that magnitude would could cost one dearly in most cases. The legendary warrior who rediscovered the Super Saiyan form couldn't grasp the concept of matrimony. Even the more peaceful Saiyans find it hard to adjust to civilian life it seems." Videl then talked about how having children changed her life. She even mentioned how it impacted her marriage with Gohan, letting out a giggle and becoming giddy at just the thought of him. This was behavior Nyx would not normally associate with Videl, but humans were often influenced by their significant other. "Normally children don't change our behavior where I come from. The whole race raises them to fulfill whatever duties they have to in life, with their immediate family having the most influence on them. Borialla was a unique case though. Due to certain circumstance I had to raise her on my own on a private network, away from the others. Under those conditions it was almost inevitable that my interactions with her would change, at least to a degree." Nyx then decided to just start steering the concentration towards the subject matter she came here to discuss with Videl. There were a couple of things she wanted to confirm first, so she wasn't going to jump into things right away. She walked slightly closer to Videl and lowered her voice, making sure no one could overhear them as she talked to them. On top of that, she spoke using words that only Videl would likely get the meaning to in this situation. A random passerby would most likely not even guess at what Nyx was referring to. "I've collected a piece of the dragon already, and have good leads as to the locations of some of the others. There's something I wish to discuss you concerning them. First want to confirm some limitations in their powers. From what you've told me, they're only capable of granting desires that exist in the material world: it can only impact things that physically exist. If you could have, you would have asked for universal peace. Peace isn't something that you can touch of hold in your hand. I suspect that you couldn't even wish to change someone's favorite color to something else. It isn't something I'd want to waste one on that though." Nyx continued walking beside Videl, letting all that information seap in. Nyx figured she was probably the only person who gave this much thought into the limitations of the Dragon Balls. Most other people just wanted their wish and didn't really think about the mechanics of how they worked. Nyx was a curious individual though, and wanted to know all she could about them. "I have reason to suspect that they're limited by the power of their creator. Otherwise you would have wished for the bow and ribbon to lose all their power, or raise your power to a level that they couldn't content with. I've given this quite a bit of thought: if my plan for universal peace is to be successful, then I need to be absolutely sure of what those items are capable of and what they can't do. Is my assessment correct so far?" [WC=1,037] [TWC=3,708] Edited by Nyx, Sep 19 2016, 12:39 PM.

Videl grimaced a bit at the mention of Dr. Gero. It wasn't exactly something she was proud of, since for years everyone thought the Red Ribbon Army to have been completely eradicated. She couldn't exactly blame Goku for failing to kill him, as the leader of that force was thought to be Commander Red, who is reportedly still at large to this day. The only ones who knew about Dr. Gero were other scientists, and there was no really no reason to bring him up at all, anyway. He was thought to have died at some point after the Red Ribbon Army was destroyed. "Goku had single-handily destroyed the Red Ribbon Army on his own, and nobody was even aware of Dr. Gero being the founder of the organization. He wasn't even mentioned at all or was even known to have been affiliated with it. The only scientist we knew who was connected to them was Dr. Frappe, and he was reportedly forced to do their bidding. For years, everyone assumed the leader of the organization was someone called Commander Red, who is supposedly still at large to this day. Gero was thought to have been dead sometime after the RRA was destroyed because he disappeared without a trace" she explained to Nyx. When the alien asked about the government system of Earth, she raised an eyebrow up in curiosity, before she realized that for someone like a Sigerian, it was understandable why such a system would be confusing. She was more than happy to explain the governing system of Earth, since it would clear up Nyx's confusion. Besides, Nyx was someone she had come to trust and care for as a friend, so she had no problem with dispensing information about Earth and it's people to her. She didn't believe the Sigerian would use this information to hurt Earth. "King Furry is of Earth's Dominant Royal Family. His family has ruled Earth for many centuries, and they are the undisputed rulers of the planet. However, that doesn't mean there aren't other governments on Earth. Dotted around the planet are territories with a smaller government system, or no government system at all, with their own people and rules of life. All of these territories can pretty much have their own governmental systems set up, but that doesn't mean they can do whatever they want in their own territories and get away with it. The territories can make their own unique laws, but these territories, like the Ox Kingdom, still all fall under the Royal Mandates of Earth made by King Furry's family. These royal mandates are essentially mandatory rules of the land that all of Earth has to follow. One of these mandates is that there is to be no kind of tyrannical government, oppressive laws like that of slavery and bigotry, etc. While the Ox King, my Grandfather-In-Law Gyumao, was a tyrant for a time, that was when the Kingdom was on fire and slowly dying out, and the only reason he was allowed to get away with it was because the King's Guard felt handling the Red Ribbon Army was more important. So the Ox Kingdom, and other territories on Earth, are not truly independent. They have a decent amount of power over their own lands, as King Furry generally allows the rulers of said territories to make all the decisions effecting their areas. King Furry CAN take direct control of a territory if he wishes, and he can overrule decisions and laws made in those territories as he has final say over what happens on Earth, but for the most part the territories are allowed to govern in peace without King Furry or the King's Guard stepping in" she explained in detail to Nyx about how the governing system on Earth worked. Videl chuckled in a sheepish manner at Nyx's response in regards to Goku. Yeah, she knew her Father-In-Law was a bit odd, of that there was no doubt, but he was an amazing man regardless of that. Goku was very simple, but he was also a wonderfully kind and humble man, a man who was exceptionally peaceful despite being having a love of fighting and coming from a barbaric race like the Saiyans. "When Goku was an infant, he fell down a ravine on a day in the wilderness with his adopted grandfather, an old Martial Artist named Son Gohan, who my husband is named after. Due to this, he lost all his memory as a Saiyan and instead became a relatively normal boy who lived alone in the mountains with his grandpa. He was a simple mountain boy who lived a majority of his childhood in almost complete isolation. He didn't really go to school or learn a lot besides how to survive in the wilderness and fight. He thought he was a Human, and that every Human had a tail like him. As for how he found someone who loved him, it's a bit of a funny story. He met Chi-Chi when they were both young teenagers, and after helping them put out the fire that consumed the Ox Kingdom, Chi-Chi had asked him to marry her one day. He assumed it was a type of food and said yes, then they separated for a number of years until they met up again at the 23rd World Martial Tournament. Chi-Chi had demanded he live up to his promise to marry her, and although he didn't know what it meant at the time, he agreed and they got married. It's not really a romantic story by any means, but that's how he and Chi-Chi got married. Goku, because of his lack of schooling, grew up very ignorant and lacking knowledge in a lot of things most people would know. He's still learning new things that he would have learned long ago if he had been in a more socially open environment instead of with just Grandfather in isolation up in Mt. Paozu" she said to Nyx about Goku, both how he got married, his memory loss, and how he didn't know a lot of things. When Nyx got on the subject about the Dragon Balls, she raised her eyebrows and nodded her head to show that Nyx was absolutely correct. "We never really tried to wish for universal peace or anything else as complex like that. We know it's possible to become ruler of the Earth and for immortality with the dragons, but we never really tried something as complex as that. The dragons cannot make wishes such as wiping out super strong enemies if the enemies themselves are stronger than the Dragon's creator. The dragons also cannot wish someone back to life that died of natural causes, like disease or old age. Krillin, a friend of mine and my husband's, tried to wish a Cyborg back to being fully human, but the Earth Dragon said he couldn't grant that. On top of that, you need to be specific with your wording because sometimes you can get too good results with the dragons. Those are the only limitations I know of so far. There's probably others, but those are the only ones I know of so far" she said to Nyx with a shrug of her shoulders. WC: 1,202 TWC: 3,222 |

"For an organization such as the Res Ribbon Army, research on their group should have been done to make absolutely sure it couldn't come out. It's a fairly basic concept that's a very old Ignoid proverb. A poorly extinguished flame will rise and burn again. In this case, the blazing inferno threatens to turn the Earth to ashes." The horrible situation that the humans now faced could have been prevented before it had gotten this strong. Unfortunately the two organizations that threatened to take over and annihilate anything in the way of their goals were too much for ordinary humans to handle. The King's Guard couldn't charge in and destroy both organzations on their own: they needed help and they needed to play smart. Nyx listened to what Videl said about Earth's government, nodding briefly once she took it all in. Everything had made sense to Nyx and she now understood the system of Earth very well. This knowledge would prove to be useful in her endeavors. "So the King's Guard would be the main force in charge of the planet if the other organizations didn't exist. It's a pity that even it is having trouble defending the planet. Even the rulers of planets have their limitations." Nyx chuckled as Videl told the story of Goku, shaking her head side to side at his antics. Saiyans never were boring creatures, she would give them that much. Although some of them clearly lacked in some areas. But Goku more then made up for those limitations with the abilities that he did possess. "It's a wonder he was so fortunate despite his disadvantages. His injury actually benefitted him in the end. If he had remained a Saiyan he would have confronted the forces of Earth. He likely wouldn't have survived. He's a very fortunate individual in more ways then one." Her curiosity sated on the other matters of the conversation, Nyx turned her full attention to the discussion of the dragonballs. Nyx listened to what Videl knew about, learning some information while confirming certain theories she had regarding her power. Once again, the human was proving to be a valuable source of information. "This is most intriguing. I was sure that I figured out the basic mechanics of how the dragonballs worked. Apparently I was mistaken, since it can distinguish between natural and untimely deaths. I will have to do more research into them as I continue to collect them. Which is why I come before you today: I wish to use the dragonballs to bring peace. I suspect it's a wish that can't be asked for directly, so we will have to use them in a more roundabout way. And It's a task I cannot complete alone." Nyx had now reached the heart of the matter as to why she came to Videl today. Hopefully she would be able to convince Videl to help her in her endeavors. "I've made a decision regarding Earth. I've decided I will rid it of the evil organizations plaguing it before going on my way and finishing my affairs. I owe the planet and it's inhabitants a debt that I must pay back. I've already made a deal with my partner that we're going to split the two wishes with the Dragonballs. My wish shall be to learn the Instant Transmission technique. Which will allow me to travel to Namek very quickly and gather the dragonballs there. At least one wish will be for myself: I hope that the Namekian Dragonballs have the power to grant me the power that I once had. I was once a Siria: one of the Sigerians blessed with the power to lead our race. My brother was also one, and it was the first time in history that it happened. For the sake of peace and preventing a civil war, I cast aside that power and the abilities that came with it. I cannot get that power back with the dragonballs, but I might be able to get my alternate form back. The Helice ability is the signature ability of a Siria. If I had that power again, my abilities would rise considerably."[/cyan] Nyx thought back to that form, remembering the rush of power she experienced just by entering it. It really made you feel more alive then one could possibly imagine. Ironically the price you payed for entering that form did anything but make you more alive. It wasn't a form that could be used recklessly. Nyx then continued on then, explaining her plan further to Videl. "I will reserve one of the wishes for the sake of Earth. We will discuss plans on how to deal with the bow and ribbon armies, and will decide what wish would work best in combating them. I will go and collect the Dragonballs for Earth. All I ask is as much help as possible in securing them." [WC=814] [TWC=4,522] Edited by Nyx, Sep 19 2016, 03:27 PM.

Videl nodded her head in understanding when Nyx commented on how she was surprised by the new bit of information regarding the limitations of the Dragon Balls. She understood how she was feeling, since some of the things she was privy to were things that were fantastical and didn't have much logical or scientific sense, which were things the Sigerians prided themselves on immensely. For something like the Dragon Balls to exist meant that something like magic existed, and magic was something that existed beyond the realms of science, it even extended beyond the art of Ki, which seemed limitless in versatility. The things Nyx was being introduced to on Earth were things outside of what she was used to, like Humans such as herself being so strong, magical items such as the Dragon Balls, the Kais and Kaioshins, the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. For someone as scientific, information and logic-obsessed as the Sigerian, things like that were the heights of magical in nature, which naturally defied the laws of logic and science. Hell, magic was capable of things even Ki wasn't able to do, so things of this nature are bound to confuse her and leave her desperate to obtain information. Deciding to comfort Nyx a bit, she placed her hand on the Sigerian's shoulder and squeezed it, giving her a sympathetic smile. "I know how you feel, trust me on that. Before Gohan and I met, I was a non-Ki using fighter under the belief I was the second strongest in the world, surpassed only by my father who was known to risk life and limb to help the police take down two-bit crooks and other lowlives. Then when Gohan enters my life, I'm facing a barrage of awe-inspiring things that defied all sense of logic for me, so believe me when I say that you're not the only one who's felt like that" she said to her in an understanding manner. Hearing Nyx say she was going to dedicate herself to the cause of helping the inhabitants of Earth wipe out the enemy organizations on their planet before moving on made her smile in appreciation. That was one more person who was going to help with the situation of wiping out the menaces of the NRRA and BBA. It was refreshing that so many people, even those not born of Earth, were willing to assist in doing away with the problems Earth had. There was something she said that had confused her, though. Nyx had stated she felt she owed a debt to Earth and it's people she had to pay back. She was wondering why she felt she owed a debt of some kind to Earth and everyone on it. Nyx and her were fairly close, she would admit that, but she wasn't privy to all the things the alien did on it. She wondered if something happened that caused her to obtain that mindset. She figured asking couldn't hurt, as Nyx had been rather forthcoming with information in the past. "Why do you feel like you owe a debt to Earth and the people who live on it?" she asked in a confused manner, tilting her head to the side as she asked this question. She didn't think she and the rest of Earth's people had done very much to help Nyx. She knew that she had given Nyx a lot of information, and told her of ways that she would be able to increase her own power, like that of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and such, or telling her about the Dragon Balls, but was that really enough to make Nyx feel like she owed a debt to her and the rest of Earth? Nyx had requested her help with getting the Dragon Balls, and that caused Videl to raise her eyebrows in surprise. Well, she most certainly had the means of helping her with that, what with the power she had at her disposal, not to mention the Dragon Ball Radar she had in her possession. She knew she could do a lot to help Nyx with her quest, and felt there was no problem with helping her out like she asked her to do, so she nodded her head. She then reached into her pocket and pulled out some kind of watch-like device. She handed it over to Nyx, and then told her what it was. "That right there is the Dragon Radar. It was invented by a woman named Bulma Briefs, one of the scientists we have here on Earth. All you do is press the button, and it tells you of the location of all the Dragon Balls. I can also lend you my strength to help you get ones that are in the possession of a rival collector. I'll loan you my Radar for now, but if you can convince her, Bulma Briefs can make you a radar of your own" she informed Nyx. WC: 817 TWC: 4,037 |
