PROLOGUE

What was Gohan looking for? What was he truly trying to seek out? That was the kind of questions that plagued the saiyan hybrid for quite some time. When Gohan had decided to leave his quaint little life as an everyday man with an everyday job living an everyday kind of life, he did not quite give much thought to it. In his mind, he was simply doing what he needed to do what needed to be done to secure the safety and overall protection of his family and friends. It had been such a long time since the confrontation with Majin Buu, though Gohan could not help but feel like there was still a lot of evil in the world, if not the entire universe. That was clearly evident in Hercule City, where Gohan donned the Great Saiyaman outfit and did his very best to aid the Hercule City police in apprehending the crooks that dwelled there. But those were petty criminals. The everyday criminals. No, Gohan had seen the future. Least he could sense it, a burning sensation in the pit of his stomach. He had so for some time.

He even told himself that was why he had allowed himself to slip out of his everyday life and once again enter the intense and fierce world of a fighter. But was that the real reason behind it? For even with the threat of what could be and what may come, Gohan was well-established as a decent enough fighter as is to hold his own. Then there was his father, not to mention the likes of Mister Piccolo and Vegeta, who would aid the cause. So what had really drove Gohan out of the woods and into the Martial Arts realm once again. A realm that Gohan really had no interest in to begin with.

It was that thought that kept bugging Gohan, constantly eating at him from within. It wasn’t consuming him like a raging fire but its dull relentless pecking at his mind and soul was not only annoying but disturbing. He had mediated on it all the time, using the very techniques Mister Piccolo had thought him throughout his training with the mighty Namekian warrior. Yet Gohan didn’t get any closer to the truth.

Believing the answer would come to him eventually, Gohan submerged his mind into special little projects. Things like politics of running a kingdom soon gripped his interest, and though the Ox Kingdom was not as gigantic or grand as those he had read about in the textbooks in school, the basic principles still implied. With Hamilton by his side, Gohan was quick to pick up on things. The customs and traditions that cemented the legacy of a kingdom. Though Gohan really didn’t see the purpose of a lot of them, and often times fought with Hamilton over logistics and execution. All in all for a guy like Gohan, it was busy work. Something to keep his mind from wandering.

Yet no matter how much Gohan focused on other tasks, he often found himself struck with the very question he was trying to avoid due to a lack of a satisfying answer.

What was he truly looking for in his new life? What was he trying to seek out by doing all he had done in the past year and a half? When he took up the mantle of one of Earth’s protectors once again, what was his reason behind it, the real reason? Not the autopilot answer he had given to himself time and time again. There was something more to his decision, yet he couldn’t tell, and at times it unnerved him almost as much as the lurking evil that he knew was out there.

For Gohan did not see himself as a selfish person, someone looking to seek out personal gain and fortune. He did not seek out power or control. Yet he had heard the whispers and they begged to differ. He had to admit his actions seem kind of odd in retrospect, yet he felt everything he did was out of the kindness of his heart. After all, no one asked him to search the entire planet for the dragon balls and wish for the Ox Kingdom to be resurrected. No one demanded he give it a proper name and title. His mother certainly didn’t beg him to make her Queen. It had been all on him. It was his decision to do every bit of it, and he had no regrets. Yet in the midst of all the praise and cheer, there was doubt and despair, as if Gohan had done something completely offhand, something totally against his character.

And it wasn’t just the Ox Kingdom either.

Simply emerging from his normal life and returning to a world of violence like that a martial artist of his stature would create seemed to miff some people. Those damn whispers slowly pecking away at his resolve. He tried to ignore them but in the stillness of his mind, those whispers were heard loud and clear.

So what was it exactly? What did he truly want in life? Maybe if he could find the answer to that question, it would finally silence those whispers. Maybe then and only then it would finally put to the rest any inkling of doubt and hate that may have been thrown his way. But that was the key to everything. Gohan had to find that answer. An answer that he wasn’t sure was even out there, or if it was, he didn’t know where to start looking. Then again, that was kind of the whole point. Otherwise the madness would continue. And he couldn’t allow that to happen, not when he had already been so committed, putting all his efforts and time into something he believed to be right. And he just couldn’t afford to see it all go to waste. There was just too much at stake to turn around now. Not that he wanted to in the first place. Like his decision to bring back the Ox Kingdom, Gohan had no regrets in any of his other actions. He just simply needed to shut all the naysayers up once and for all.

There was something else there. Gohan just knew it, and it was in his best interest to unravel it and bring it to light. There was something that he still needed to do…perhaps even become. Something beyond anything he had become in the past. If only he had the faintest clue what.

CHAPTER 1

It was a quiet peaceful afternoon in the Ox Kingdom. Gohan had spent the morning attending to the duties and responsibilities of ruling said kingdom, his right hand advisor Hamilton always by his side the entire time, whispering him pearls of wisdom and sound advice. It was an interesting task, running a realm like the one on Fire Mountain. There was a lot of stuff that went into it and each day Gohan found himself simply fascinated by the ins and outs of it. Gohan liked to learn new things, especially things that he had no idea he could learn. For if anyone told him five years ago that he would standing on the top of Fire Mountain inside the castle of the former kingdom that his grandfather once ruled, trying to figure out the best way to store food for the winter for the village while also keeping the budget as low as possible, Gohan would have thought you were insane.

But as he did indeed stood there inside the castle of the former kingdom that his grandfather once ruled, Gohan was simply in awe of how the events in his life had turned. Everything he had done up to that point had been so surreal, and becoming the Ox Prince was no exception.

"You seem awfully quiet, Prince Gohan. Is something the matter?" Said the elder royal adviser known as Hamilton.

"Hmm...Oh...no, nothing is wrong, Hamilton...honest," Gohan replied, turning his head from the castle window he was looking out of, "Just taking a moment to soak it all in. I've been so busy running this kingdom, that I haven't actually gotten the chance to truly admire and enjoy it, you know?"

"Ah yes, I completely understand. I, too, am still in awe in what has transpired these past several months. I never in my life time would have dreamed that this kingdom would be restored in its entirely, and even now I sometimes find myself pinching myself, as if I expect to wake up from a dream. The Ox Kingdom and its people owe you and your family a great debt. One that I feel will never be fully paid. You have no idea what this kingdom means to so many people, especially now that it seems the kingdom has turned from its cruel and wicked ways. Ha, who would have thought that the mighty Ox King would have such a change of heart, but I guess that is credited to your father. I must admit, I never seen someone so bold and courageous yet with such a gentle and kind heart. I feel that is something that was missing in this kingdom for quite some time. And now that we finally have that kind of spirit guiding this realm forward into the future, I can't see us ever doing it any other way...but I digress."

His thoughts fading as well as his voice, Hamilton cleared his throat softly before straightening his collar and flattening his shirt before speaking up again, "You asked to see any and all books that may pertain to myths and legends of not only this kingdom but perhaps the entire planet and maybe even the universe. I must say, it was an odd request, as our kingdom has always been a small quaint little place, keeping mainly to ourselves and not bothering with the outside world, but after hearing the stories of what you and your family have done for this planet as well as others, I suppose your request does make sense in a way. Anyways, I had some of the servants go through the entire Ox Kingdom library two times over and well, like I figured from the start, there weren't many books that pertained to your particular interest. But we did find this..."

Stepping forward with a thick leather book in his hands, Hamilton placed it on the table in front of him as it hit the surface with a violent thud. Gohan slowly turned and saw the book. It was quite old and massive, the entire thing has thick as a tree trunk. It certainly had seen better days but it must possess some sort of lost information that could help Gohan. It would take Gohan quite some time to read it all but like his training, there was no real reward without patience and effort.

It was true, Gohan's request had shocked Hamilton instantly. After all, Gohan wasn't entirely sure what he was seeking out. He just knew there had to be something more out there. Whether it be a new challenge or some long-lost and forgotten artifact or some legend that would guide him to the next level. Gohan had learned in life that often times it was the myths and legends that held more truth about unlocking one's potential than most people would admit. For most people simply saw them as stories to tell to entertain and put little children to sleep. Gohan had to admit, he often told stories he had learned in school to Pan when she was a baby just to keep her from crying. Such tales soothed the soul and inspired the mind. But looking at that book in front of him, Gohan knew more so than ever that legends and myths had a power all of its own, and it was Gohan's choice to discover exactly what it was.

Approaching the table, Gohan placed a hand on top of the book, running his fingers over the binding, before lifting his hand up in the air and rubbing the dust off his fingers.

"I still don't know what you are looking for, Prince Gohan but I hope you find it," Hamilton said, breaking the silence as he turned to walk away. Taking a few steps, Hamilton stopped and added one last piece of advice, "One of the servants has recommended on reading the section about deities, apparently he felt that would peak your interest, especially as a martial artist."

Hamilton left Gohan to his new book.

CHAPTER 2

Gohan lost track of time. Though if he had to guess, it was some where between half past lunch and fifteen minutes before dinner, and his stomach was letting him know, growling with a vengeance. Gohan had spent the day searching and reading through the book that Hamilton had given him. It truly was quite the marvel as it look like of those ancient leather books you hear about in fantasy tales or see in adventure movies. And inside, it continued to play to that sterotype. The hand-writing eloquent and distinct to something you would be accustom to seeing from a book that was allegedly dated all the way back to several centuries ago. But it wasn't its visual appeal that got Gohan so submerged. The content itself was massive and memorizing. He didn't spend time reading the book from front to back, instead opting to skim and scan the pages, noting certain passages and lines in his head for future reference. He did however spend a lot of time reading up on the Deity chapters that Hamilton had suggested. And he was glad he did, for not only did it provide Gohan with so much to work with reading such things like the Greek Gods and demi-gods fighting such monsters like the Hydra and Medusa or the belief of reincarnation, it also was quite entertaining, his mind immediately churning with thoughts and ideas.

In the end though, there was one part in particular that caught Gohan's eyes. It was something Gohan had not put much thought towards in the past, though it had been staring him in the face the entire time.

The moment the word "Fiadhaich" flashed across the pages of the book, Gohan knew he had stumbled upon the very thing he had been looking for. He couldn't quite explain it but fate seemed to knew. And so he spent the day reading every bit that pertained to "Fiadhaich" in the book. For Gohan had heard the name before. In fact, he carried that word around with him for nearly two years. For that was the name of the mystical sword he had been given by a mysterious lone wolf after a run-in he had with a small village. It had been quite the adventure, filled with kidnapping, aliens, werewolves and betrayal. Gohan had not put much thought or attention to the situation for quite some time. In fact, he nearly forgot about the whole thing despite being in possession of a clear reminder with him every day. But now that there seemed to be something to it all, Gohan felt it was time to give that moment the attention it deserved. For if an old and unknown book had details of the sword and how it came to be then Gohan was confident it was something worth looking into it.

The sword itself was resting on a mantle in his room in the castle as if simply waiting for Gohan to unlock its secrets and truths. And perhaps the book in front of him was going to be the Rosetta stone to unearthing such things. There was only one way Gohan could find out. He had to put time and effort into researching the subject. But he couldn't do it on an empty stomach.

So carrying the book underneath his right arm, holding it close to his side, Gohan headed to the kitchen, where he was greeted by the royal cooking staff. Immediately he was asked to sit down and try some of the food that was whipped up for the evening. Gohan was raised to not decline such a request and add the fact he was incredibly hungry, the saiyan hybrid happily obliged, and before he knew it, he was scuffing down plates and plates of all sorts of food.

Once again Gohan had lost track of time as he didn't leave the kitchen for another hour or so. But when he did, he had a full belly and a hungry mind. Heading to his bedroom with the book tucked underneath his right arm, Gohan was quite eager to read up on the mysteries surrounding the sword he possessed. He felt like a kid on Christmas. His mother had spoiled him rotten when it came to his studies growing up and now as a full grown adult, Gohan actually enjoyed reading up on things and researching new and exciting topics. He had a knack for learning and consuming knowledge, using what he was taught to benefit his every day life in some way.

However, this new discovery with Fiadhaich was something entirely different. It was more than a simple in tank of new information. Looking back, Gohan should have done further investigation of the village. He should have stayed longer and learned more about the strange aliens who had kidnapped him. And though he hadn't put much thought into that particular part of his life, as he turned the door knob of his bedroom, Gohan felt a tinge of guilt. Had he been rash in his decision to leave when he did? Was there more he could have done? After all he never defeated the aliens directly. They could still be out for all he knew.

That settled things. Gohan would dive into the book he held, learning all he could about the sword he possessed. Then he would seek out that village once again.

CHAPTER 3

The following morning, Gohan woke up to the sound of knocking at his door. He didn't know when it happened, but he had dozed off sometime deep into the night. He had been so caught up in the big leather book Hamilton had given him to notice such things like time. He had read a lot, paying attention to every paragraph and line, searching for meaning and purposes, looking at it from all directions and angles. Every moment he spent reading, he felt he was getting closer to unlocking the secrets of Fiadhaich, the sword that he had obtained after saving a small village out in the middle of nowhere. Truth be told, Gohan couldn't remember exactly where the village was. He had been trapped in a blizzard of epic proportions and in that natural disaster, he had gotten lost, not sure where anything was. It almost was like a bizarre dream, except Gohan knew he wasn't dreaming even for a split second. Yet he had forgotten that memory, suppressing it into his subconscious as if it was nothing more than just that. Perhaps it was nothing more than a dream. No, there was something to it all. Gohan knew it and that book confirmed it. His sword agreed.

"Prince Gohan! Prince Gohan!" It was Hamilton, punctual as ever.

Gohan rose from his bed, the big heavy leather book falling to the floor with a hard thump. Gohan must have fallen asleep with the book opened against his chest. Yawning and stretching for a moment, Gohan picked up the book, closing it before putting it underneath his right arm.

Gohan opened the door a step or two later as he rubbed his eyes with his free hand, "Hey Hamilton, what can I do for you this morning?"

"Good morning, Prince Gohan...I hope I'm not disturbing you but I came to let you know that breakfast is ready!"

"Great!" Gohan smiled as he was always hungry when he first woke up. His stomach practically screaming at him to eat something before anything else, "But you know you didn't have to come all the way up here to tell me that, Hamilton. I could have just as easily found out myself when I headed downstairs."

"Oh, I know. I was actually wanted to discuss something with you, so I thought I would kill two birds with one stone as they say," Hamilton said matter-of-factly as he turned to clear a path for Gohan.

Gohan nodded politely and stepped out of his bedroom, closing the door behind him, "Well then Hamilton, lead the way."

Hamilton nodded back in response, pivoting on his heels as he did in fact take the lead.

"So what is it that you wanted to talk to me about?" Gohan asked, curious as to what topic Hamilton was going to bring up at that moment. For with Hamilton, Gohan found himself constantly surprised with all the vast knowledge the royal right-hand had. Then again when your job is being the royal right-hand, it would do you good to know many things.

"Well, first off I can see that you have already cozy up with the book I gave you," Hamilton answered, pointing to the book safely tucked in Gohan's arm, "That's good, because that's what I came to discuss with you about."

"Oh? What about it?" Gohan raised an eyebrow as the two headed down the first flight of stairs.

"Well after I left you, I ran into the servant who showed me that book later that night and well, we started to talk. Apparently he had come to serve you a drink and some food and saw you were reading up on werewolves and the myths behind them. He didn't mean to be nosy but you seemed to be so zoned in on that particular subject in the book, he couldn't help to sneak a peek or two before leaving. Anyways, he told me he knew what you were looking for. After all, it's no real secret that upon resurrecting the Ox Kingdom and settling in the castle, many people have seen your beautiful blade that you have hanging above your mantle over your bed. It is quite the sight, such a weapon. Well, this servant's name is Fizz and he knows where that sword comes from. Well, not that particular sword, but he has seen swords similar to it. See, when the Ox Kingdom burnt down, all the villagers scattered and sought out new places to live. Fizz's family decided to head north, deep into the mountains as they could not fathom living any other kind of place. Unlike Fire Mountain, however, it was a cold tundra of a place, always getting snowed on and ice covering the ground. It was a harsh living but Fizz and his family managed. On top of the hellish conditions of mother nature, there was something far more sinister at work there. See, Fizz lived in a village. Not too different from the Ox village. However, there was one thing that stood out to Fizz. Many of the villagers disappeared for days on end, only to reappear like nothing had happened. Upon their return though, the villagers started to act...well...savagely...especially when a full moon was out. There were many rumors and conspiracy theories, and Fizz isn't even so sure about all the details but he swears there was something going on. Something, strange. Then one day, a lost traveler appeared in the village. At first the villagers did not know what to do, so they allow the stranger among them. But then this stranger started to poke around a bit and soon it became clear that the traveler had stumble upon something that the village had been keeping secret for such a long time. See, the village was a base of operations of sorts. Fizz doesn't know their names nor what they looked like as they often wore some sort of hazard suits when they raided the village, but he is one hundred percent certain, the villagers were guinea pigs to aliens."

"Aliens?" Gohan interjected, having been listening to Hamilton's little tale with such interest and wonder. It all sounded familiar to Gohan, but he wasn't about to jump to conclusion just yet.

"I know, it sounded strange to me too, but Fizz swears it to be true, plus he had prove, least so he says. For not only was the village being held hostage to these aliens, but the traveler was kidnapped by the aliens as well. However, what the aliens didn't know. What the village didn't know, was this traveler wasn't just an ordinary man. These aliens weren't just kidnapping these villagers just to probe and prod then. According to Fizz, these aliens were looking to create an unstoppable army, using the myths and legends of this planet as its foundation, turning science fiction into reality. They were turning the villagers into werewolves, granting them power they never dreamed of, equipping them with weapons specially made for their new forms. They were going to do the same to this stranger who wandered into the village as well, but he fought back. He fought back and dealt a huge blow to their entire operation," Hamilton had Gohan hooked on every word, "I'm telling you all of this because Fizz wants you to know. You have met him before, Prince Gohan. You've been to that village before. For it is that village, Fizz' village, that you found that sword hanging above your head in your bedroom. For you see Fiadhaich has another name, one known through Fizz's village. The sword of the Lycans! That man Stanley, the one you fought and defeated, he was working with the aliens according to Fizz, helping the aliens kidnap the villagers. When you killed Stanley, you saved the village...though only momentarily. See, Fizz left the village with his family shortly after, however not before catching wind that the aliens, the ones you encountered, had not been defeated. They simply were licking their wounds, waiting for their time to strike once again. Fizz heard of other nearby villages going through the same horrors that his went through. These aliens are still around to this very day according to Fizz. And they are attacking Fizz' old village. Fizz tried to go back out there and help but he doesn't possess the kind of skills and abilities like someone like you Prince Gohan. Then when the Ox Kingdom was resurrected, well he completely forgot about it altogether and settled back into his original home in the Ox village. However, last night you reminded him. You reminded him that he has another village that still needs salvation. He wants to go back, and he wants you to come with him. He was almost going to ask you last night and tell you everything I just told you, but he was afraid of what your response is. I truthfully don't know what to believe. His story does seem like something out of a fantasy novel, but then again who am I to judge what is real and what isn't..."

"I'll go!" Gohan replied.

"Excuse me, what was that, Prince Gohan?" Hamilton asked, caught by surprised by Gohan's sudden bold voice.

"I said tell Fizz, I'll go with him," Gohan's eyes narrowed in a serious expression as he had listened to Hamilton's tale and knew that it all made sense. It was all so clear to him. That slight hint of regret and guilt was not only his to share. Fizz had carried it with him that whole time as well, even if Fizz had forgotten the reason why, as Gohan did. And after hearing it all, Gohan was right. There was still some unfinished business, "So after breakfast, go find Fizz and tell him to get his things in order, pack a traveling bag and to meet me at the front gates of the castle. The two of us have a lot to discuss on our travels and I would like to learn as much as I can before we reach our destination."

"I'm sorry Prince Gohan, I'm afraid I do not follow," Hamilton cupped his chin, tilting his head at a slight angle as it was his turn to listen to Gohan intently, trying to figure out what the Prince was thinking, "Where are you and Fizz going exactly?"

"To Fizz' old village. You said it yourself, Hamilton, I was there...at Fizz' old village. I witness and experienced the tortures and horrors that the villagers were going through on a daily basis. But I fought back and I won the battle. I may have forgotten about it over time but it is clear the war is far from over. Fizz wants to be an end to this but he knows he can't do it alone. I possess the means of helping him, Hamilton. I have the skills. I have the abilities. I have the knowledge, and more importantly I have Fiadhaich. Something I'm sure was not planned for me to have. Which means Fizz and I already have the advantage."

"With all due respect, I know what I just told you sounds important and I'm not saying there isn't some merit to the threat but to act so suddenly, don't you think you should prepare for such a mission a bit more before you decide to head out?" Hamilton was simply trying to be the voice of reason. Gohan admired that.

The two of them had finally reached the bottom of the stairs, stepping to the ground floor as Gohan shifted the book underneath his arm before shaking his head, "I haven't been to that village in a year, Hamilton. I think I had all the time I needed to be prepared for this moment. And I think Fizz will agree with me. I fought these aliens before. I know what they are capable of. Innocent people need help. And that's what I'm going to do!"

Finally Gohan was starting to unearth the mysteries of Fiadhaich and its origins. It felt good.

CHAPTER 4

"So tell me again, you are sure you know the way?"

True to his word, once breakfast was over, Gohan sought out the servant known as Fizz, with Hamilton's help of course. Despite his saiyan appetite and his growling stomach, Gohan spent most of the morning meal time shifting through his thoughts more so than enjoying the food that the royal kitchen had prepared for him. That isn't to say, Gohan didn't attack his food with aggression and eagerness, but it was clear that Gohan's mind was preoccupied. And who could have blamed him. After all he had discovered in the past twenty four hours, it was a lot to take in and try and make sense of.

"Prince Gohan, indeed it has been awhile since I've been to my old village, but rest assure, I haven't forgotten that place," Fizz reassured the saiyan hybrid as he stood in front of Gohan outside the castle walls, "You don't forget such things, like your second home, especially when it was filled with such...for a lack of a better word...interesting moments."

"Well that's good to know, because I truthfully have no idea where the village is. Getting lost in the blizzard made my sense of direction go haywire for a while," Gohan said, rubbing the back of his neck, letting out a sheepish laugh, "And please, just call me Gohan. I'm still not used to the 'Prince' title."

"As you wish, Prin...I mean, sure thing Gohan," Fizz was a man that looked like he had seen some things and Gohan knew exactly what things they were.

The two men had met up after breakfast in the castle library. They discussed all that Fizz knew about the village as well as worked together to learn as much as they could from the big leather book in Gohan's possession. It did not take long for Gohan to realize that Fizz was the right man for the job. With his knowledge and familiarity of the old village in the mountains as well as the aliens who prey upon the villagers combined with Gohan's martial arts skills and overall strength, Gohan felt confident that the mission would be a success.

"Alright then, I made some arrangements for us. This journey is sure to be a long one, filled with unexpected moments and unknown dangers, so we got to be prepared for just about anything," Gohan replied as he looked off to the distance, a moment later he smiled and waved in the air, "Hey Icarus...OVER HERE!"

A mighty thunderous roar erupted from the sky as a large shadow fell upon Gohan and Fizz. The two men then were greeted by an intimidating-looking blue dragon. Icarus had been a baby dragon once. A friend Gohan had found in the woods as a child. Chi-Chi had demanded Gohan take Icarus back to the woods but Goku had helped Gohan smuggle the dragon into the house. In the end, Chi-Chi had the final say, but Gohan had visited Icarus throughout the years whenever he could, and now the two of them were the best of friends.

Gohan approached the dragon, and petted him on the head, in which Icarus responded with a wag of his tail and a smile on his face, akin to a dog, "Hey there Icarus, how are you today? I got a treat for you!"

Instantly Gohan pulled a big chuck of ham left over from breakfast out of his sack and waved it in front of Icarus' face. The dragon happily opened his mouth and let Gohan toss the meat into it before the hungry dragon swallowed it whole, causing Gohan to laugh, "Haha, good boy Icarus!"

When it was decided that Fizz and Gohan would go to Fizz' old village, Gohan had told the man to pack things for a good long trip. Food, clothes, tools, whatever Fizz felt would be needed. And Gohan had done the same. And thanks to Capsule Corp and Bulma, the packing had been made easy and convenient, compacting a ton of stuff in just a handful of capsules, which were safely tucked away in Gohan's pouch. Fizz had a similar bag of goodies as well. However, the one item Gohan had that did not rest cozy in Gohan's pack was Fiadhaich, the sword of the Lycans. For it hung peacefully behind Gohan's back, peacefully sheathed, ready to be called upon whenever the time came, and Gohan believed he would be using the sword more often than not during his travels.

"I hope you don't mind, but I decided to bring Icarus along. I can fly but I was told that many of the Ox villagers can't and walking will take forever," Gohan spoke, directing his comments to Fizz, "Don't worry, Icarus may look fierce but he is a gentle soul, aren't you Icarus?"

Icarus beamed with delight as he nodded in response as if to agree with Gohan's sentiment.

"That is fine, Gohan. I never ridden a dragon before...so this should be interesting...and who knows fun even," Fizz replied as he took a step forward.

"Well with what we are about to embark on, we could use all the fun we can get. For we won't be getting much opportunity for such," Gohan continued to pet Icarus for a few moments before making his way around the beast, "So Fizz, if there isn't any left to do, I think we should head out. We got a long journey ahead of us and the quicker we start it, the better."

"Right of course," Fizz replied as Gohan helped him onto the back of Icarus.

"Great, now then, which way do we go?"

"Well the village is hidden deep into the Northern Mountains. So I advise we head North, Gohan!" Fizz suggested with confidence, recalling the path to his own home from memory.

"North it is!Gohan exclaimed, nodding in the process, "Let's go, Icarus!"

Gohan patted Icarus on the side as the dragon wasted no time in his lift off. Soon the Ox Kingdom was falling out of view as the mighty dragon stretched its wings and powered its way forward, heading up into the air before shooting in the general direction of north.
