His blade being knocked away once more, Naozumi was in awe at how much he has improved on his fighting style. It seemed he wasn't the person he was before, rather a different person did what he did in the past change him that much? Well, no matter if he got distracted here by his technique he wouldn't be able to showcase his own. He had grown as well, when he tried to bisect him with a quick slash. He used his sword to stop it mid way, having a clash of metal once more with him, the sound of the metal was a distinct one.

"That is why you will always be second, Daiki." he said, it was his blood thirsty self that made him not be as good in the eyes of the master, as the swordstyle they were taught, was not one of anger or hatred. But rather, elegancy. Though he seemed to be very corrupt, and that is why he could not wield that sword that he has always wanted to.

He gave a reroute to the sword to have the two swords now back in the correct positions with their masters, as he had then ran towards him.

Okane narrowed his eyes at the mention of him being second in the eyes of their old master, considering it was his mindset that made him less than favorable to their master. The fact that Naozumi brought that up was a sore spot with him, and he would make sure to 'convince' Naozumi to never mention that again. He wasn't going to accept that he was second best to someone he saw as utterly inferior to him by any means, he would prove himself superior by killing him, just like he killed their old master when he declared Naozumi the new master.

"I beat him, you never could" he shot back in reply as he spun in the direction he sword was knocked away in, eventually stopping his spin to sprint forwards to attack Naozumi with his sword again, using a quick slice.

"I never beat him, yes but I will never take the Jintoruken pathway." he said, his eyes filled with a fierce fire that could not be quenched. It was as if he was determined to win against him, more than any other opponent. He had his own other rivals, but Okane was the one he dreaded the most, he never liked him after all he tried to get along with him and soon enough their master was killed by his hand, it was a sad death that he faced but he was going to avenge him now, in this battle right here. Without breaking his path.

The spin attack that Okane would do, he was not going to stand there and take it. He changed stances, and clashed with his sword once more, as he would use more than his sword to fight now. He learned an additive style of fighting that would fit his way of sword, an extra martial art. He used his leg to do a sideways kick towards the hilt of Okane's sword trying to add extra pressure on the sword to make him back off.

"I did not stick to swordsmanship only, I have learned martial arts as well..."

Okane's eyes narrowed when Naozumi said he refused to take the path that Okane himself had chosen, Jintoruken, the Life Taking Sword. He had always been against their master's idea of Inoataken, the Life Giving Sword, as it contradicted the entire purpose of the sword, which was to kill and destroy. His foolish old master and rival both believed in it, so they were both hypocrites in his eyes. He was much truer to the true purpose of the sword, and as such walked a path much different than was intended of their master. Now, he was stronger than them both.

"A sword's purpose is to kill and destroy" he said in a stoic manner, pointing out to Naozumi the entire reason the sword existed in the first place. As he did this, he tighted his grip on his blade when his nemesis attempted to push him back using his foot as added leverage. With a small smirk on his face, he then moved his hand to the hilt of his sword, having more strength and leverage to apply this time around, and quickly gathered Ki in his blade to make a shockwave come out of it that pushed his rival back.

"A sword is all I need" he said, before he gathered Ki into his blade again before smashing the sword into the ground and unleashing the Ki on impact, which caused a beam of energy to come slicing through the ground towards his nemesis.

He always knew that Okane was not the type to follow the swordsway that their master had taught them. And he had the simpleminded idea on what a sword is. He did not think that way and would punish him for thinking that way, that was not what a sword was. The sword to a common person's eyes was not just to kill and destroy, but rather. To make a new ending for the user, a tool a culmination of the being to bring justice into the light, to fight greed away and keep a disciplined mind.

"I will have to disagree with you Daiki." he said to him, seeing the ki made him grit his teeth so he had learned how to use ki, this was going to be more difficult than he thought, when he smashed through the ground, he made sure to back up. As a child, he was abandoned by his family because of the lack of his knowledge or ability to use ki. Even to this day he could not manifest a non wasteful use for ki. He was still in that age, but he kept his mind sharp. He did not falter at the sight of what would give a child PTSD.

"So you use Ki..." he said, dashing towards his enemy once more, wanting to slash at him. Though this slash was different, he decided to go for an easily defended part. When he knew that Okane would defend against it, he took one hand off and threw a palm strike towards an open area.

"Yet one more thing that makes me better" Okane said in a matter-of-fact tone of voice in response to Naozumi commenting on his ability to use Ki. His eyes narrowed when he caught sight of Naozumi avoiding the beam of cutting energy sent his way, and decided to move in with a slash. He could tell his rival had improved as much as he had, but while he didn't make swordsmanship as much of a focus as rounding out his skills, Okane had skills meant to enhance his skills with a blade. So, when Naozumi came at him with a strike, the blue swordsman then did something that would show off his incredible precision and skill with a blade.

He thrusted his sword forwards, and at a specific moment in time, the tip of his blade landed squarely in the middle of the slash Naozumi sent at him, and the tip of his sword completely stopped his sword in it's tracks. Since Okane's sword was pointed straight outwards, it kept Naozumi out of arms' reach, which meant his palm strike was unable to hit him. While the orphaned swordsman was distracted by this incredible display of precision, he swept his sword downwards in a circular motion and then launched it straight up to try and cut Naozumi in half.

"Ki does not always make one better." He should know this, after all. He could never use ki in an effective manner it was always trial and error for him, heck it took more than 2 years to be able to form his first ki blast, and with that it was still hard to use, as it took a lot of his energy. He was the type to stick with that he knew with, he did not give up on ki but he never did practice it, it wasn't something he wanted to put his time in, he had school now so training wasn't always the same way as it was in the past.

This next manuver caught him off guard, the pointed sword kept out of his arm's reach meaning he couldn't rip him. He was distracted a bit, and with that the next slash came, he didn't have enough thinking time to try and deflect it, rather backed up, but still took a hit. A shallow cut was made on his uniform cutting the jacket he was wearing and showing blood on him. He didn't stop to try and take a breather on this, rather right after, before Okane would have time to react, he dashed towards him to try and get a cut, but this time he slashed down and put more strength into his swing. He didn't have fancy moves like him, rather his were simple.

First blood had gone to him, it seems. That was already a good sign for him, as it meant that the time he spent on the road honing his skills had actually paid off. He was already much more powerful than he was when he killed his master, but it still wasn't strong enough for him. Naozumi took advantage of their closeness and launched out a shot at him, and while he couldn't fully protect himself from the attack, his speed and reaction time was great enough to where he would be fast enough to lessen the damage of the hit.

As the sword came flying in, he brought his sword up to block it, then slid it down to where both of their swords were resting on each other's hilts. This caused Naozumi's sword to slide down and open a deep cut on his cheek, blood starting to leak out. Okane felt the sting of the cut, but showed no reaction to it, and instead used his speed and strength to dart upwards at a diagonal angle to break the block, which would make his rival stagger back. While he was still in the air, he turned himself around to face his rival, and then darted downwards using his Ki and flung a vicious downward slice upon him that, combined with the speed he was moving at and his natural strength, would have devastating power behind it.

The two warriors had 2 cuts, one shallow yet long one short yet deep. The contrasts of their characters even envoked how they would hit an opponent. This was no time to catch his breath, though he kept his breathing steady. His martial arts master had gave him a special breathing technique to ensure that even in the toughest of situations there would always be enough for one breath in between the attacks. This has served him well, as he ran out of stamina quickly before, when training with his swordsman sensei, It was what Okane had above him before, but now, maybe not.

He saw his opponent dart upwards and he staggered back, he would try to slice him with his natural strength now was the time to show what he could do, Irregular Blocking. It was a technique taught to him by his great grandfather. He was one to use his sword in odd ways to block, rather than keeping his hand on the hilt, he put his hand on the dull end of his blade, and used it to block, as if he was turning his sword into a pole.

"Just like you, I've gained strengths of my own..." He said

Okane narrowed his eyes when he saw the rather irregular block that Naozumi had used to stop his incoming attack. He would never admit to his rival that he was impressed with his progress, instead choosing to keep silent as his feet impacted against the soil beneath it, making sure to solidify his footing so that his nemesis could not knock him off-balance. Once that was done, he was in another sword deadlock with Naozumi, and an idea quickly came to him on how to deal with this situation. Making sure to remain tight-lipped about what he was going to do, he spoke up.

"Irrelevant, you are still beneath me" he said in a casual tone, shrugging off how much Naozumi improved as he gathered Ki into his sword and fired out a crescent moon-shaped blast of slicing energy at his nemesis from a near point-blank range in an attempt to cut through him.
