Tien Side Story 1: The Responsibility of a Master https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/dragonball/images/3/35/The_Town_of_Tien%27s_Dojo.png/revision/latest?cb=20170511203411 Tien had been training in these mountains for nearly his whole life by this point, having seen the best and worst the world had to offer due to the vast damage caused by war, conflict between villages, and the mass chaos from the scare of Cell and Majin Buu that effected the entire world as he knew it. It was difficult to really find a moment for rest for the traveling martial artist, always opting to continue his journey and strengthen himself to one day catch up to his rival Son Goku. On this particular day he was atop his favorite mountain looking down at Yuzu village, a quaint town that had been enjoying a time of prosperity due to the vigilance of the three eyed martial artist. He had been here to watch people settle this land and till the fields making them fertile for farming, and eventually industry. He had seen the influence of the Red Ribbon army as they resurged in the last few years causing havoc and chaos for the people here. It was almost like a pet project that he had that he just forgot to bring up to his friends every time there was a random meet up for the Z-fighters. He would watch the progress of the small village from atop his training spot at the top of one of the nearby mountains silently protecting the people here from harm of bandits or the roaming RRA soldier. Luckily due to the efforts of the King's Guard in recent years, the former had been aptly dealt with meaning that he only had to deal with incompetent looters. Sighing to himself Tien looked at the burlap sack of loose grains of rice noticing that his food stores were starting to run low, he had nearly run out of money at this point and had too much pride to go and ask his wealthier friends to provide him a bit of a loan for food expenses. He was a martial artist, and could fend for himself however, but the mountainous terrain was hard living for woodland creatures, and the stoic martial artist reserved the hunting and trapping of animals in the valley below the mountains for the people of Yuzu Village. Taking a few steps up to the side of a nearby cliff Tien looked over the edge down to the beautiful view of expansive foliage hiding most of the buildings from aerial view, it continued on and on for miles nearly to the point where even his eyes could not see. This tranquil scenery was the thing that welcomed him every morning and what bid farewell every night at sundown. Turning on his heel Tien could only smile and shake his head at the foolishness in his mind as he decided to settle for some berries he saw growing on a bush at the foot of the mountain. |
