As she was explaining the way that currency worked in terms of exchanging hers for services, she was quite impressed, Earthlings were more understanding than she thought, she was quite wrong about them apparently, but she had to go to a bank first before doing anything, maybe as she reached whatever these general stores were she would go to a bank and make an account or something similar to keep her money in, she just hoped that she could get started in this world with the amount of money she had, she really hoped for it. She then flew and heard Yurin's backstory. She said that she was seeking to become the perfect fighter, and that was a sort of admirable goal indeed, it was something that people strived for even in the moon, so at the least there could be that connection with Earthlings and Lunarians, what was more was that she was a secluded person, distancing herself from the masses in the cities, preferring to live on her own, being isolated was her style. That too was something that some Lunarians faced, and it pleased her to see all these similarities. Since she was finished she might as well tell her about herself as well. As for myself...There was also this big war with the moon and one man on Earth, he came to the moon and we were ordered to attack him, he was strong and killed me in fact. Now I want to also become strong, I came back to Earth after having a newfound power, maybe it was demon magic that gave me this strength. I don't know myself but it feels great to have all this power on me, even if I can't aim...Yeah. I can't aim ki blasts that well, I was so used to my strength before this sudden change threw all of my senses off!" She had an idea as they were flying and she was sure Yurin would be up for it. "Why not, after this fight we go and do some sparring? Maybe I can see the strengths of a human that wasn't as strong as that man, or maybe even stronger. I just want to test out my power now!" she said to her quite happily and excitedly as she had thought about what she could do now, in terms of raw strength her feats almost went thirty fold with how strong she was before. As they were flying she looked for a General store, there had to be some around here, maybe they were just all inside of the city and no one ever went out of them. She thought about it and just decided to go with the flow, maybe Yurin knew where the closest store was around here, she just hoped it'd be soon. She didn't want to bother Yurin that much with her presence, after all, they just met and she was already demanding such things that could be tiring for anyone who has to deal with it. After around 3 or so extra minutes of flying they Usatei had seen something at the bottom, she it was rectangular shaped and it had a bunch of odd metal things riding towards it, what were these? She tilted her head as she then pointed it out. "I think I found one of those general stores or something, and there's a bunch of weird boxes moving towards it, and away from it. What are those?" she was quite confused and perplexed, she could guess as much that these were vehicles, but only the military should have vehicles right? Was this a military base? She had gone down on the building and landed near the entrance, looking at Yurin as she waited for her call on it, were they going to stay here and then buy some stuff there? Was this a bank? Or was this a restaurant? She didn't know, even if she could observe what she saw at the doors, she wanted to make sure. An idiot who made decisions and labeled things on their own is someone who should not live in society after all. "What is it Yurin?" she asked, looking inside of the windows and seeing what was inside. WCL 704 TWC: 3382 |

Yurin was intrigued at this mention of a man from Earth waging war on Usatei's people. When she heard the Lunarian admit that this man had killed her, she would normally have been very skeptical of such a claim, had Tien not informed her of the Dragon Balls and all the times they've used them to wish people back to life. She wondered how someone from Earth even survived on the moon, since she was sure the satellite didn't even have a breathable atmosphere for anyone of her kind to even survive there. Sure, they could use a ship to travel to the moon, but she was wondering how any Earthling would even be able to fight in a non-breathable atmosphere. "Earth has been plagued by a number of tragic events in the past, so you're not alone when it comes to things like death and war. Earth has long since stopped feuding with itself, but otherworldly threats have popped up on Earth a number of times. The Red Ribbon Army, Piccolo Daimao and his army of vile offspring, the Saiyans, Frieza, Cell, Buu, and so on. If you intend to get stronger and improve yourself, coming to Earth was a smart move. We have numerous methods one can use to make ourselves stronger" she said to Usatei. Usatei bringing up that something had made her stronger than before, but came at the cost of throwing off her aim and control, was certainly very intriguing. It sounded vaguely similar to what Yurin herself could do with Witchcraft, just with a still mostly different concept. The idea of getting a big enough surge of power that it throws off your senses, aim, and control was both disturbing and interesting, as she figured it would have to be a massive boost for that to happen. "Train until you're sick of it, until you can't go anymore, and then do it all over again once you've recovered. The only way to improve is to train, it's what I was doing on Mt. Paozu before your presence caught my attention. I've recently learned a couple of new techniques to make use of in battle that I feel will really give me an extra edge in combat, and I was out here perfecting the newest of them. You'll never improve unless you push past all your limits repeatedly" she said, deciding to help Usatei out by giving them some advice. Yurin's train of thought was interrupted by Usatei, who suggested that once they were done here in West City, if they could maybe go off on their own somewhere and battle it out in a spar. The idea of facing a creature that wasn't a fighter from Earth was an interesting offer to consider. She had faced both Mage and Soba while on Planet Yardrat, and their different styles and ideals were enough to keep her on her toes, especially since they could teleport at any time with Instant Transmission. She was genuinely curious as to what kind of techniques the Lunarian could pull out if they did fight. "You have yourself a deal. The more opponents with various attack styles and techniques you face, the better you will become. I will happily take up any offer for a spar, so if you really want to do this, I'm more than happy to oblige" Yurin said to Usatei, looking over her shoulder to smirk at the Lunarian, before she turned her head back to face her. This caused her to see that they were coming up on West City, which was good, so she slowed down her flight technique until she floated in place. When Usatei asked her what those weird boxes moving towards and away from the general store she caught sight of, the green-haired witch frowned to herself and stared at the flying cars. This clued her into what the Lunarian was asking her, and she quickly collected herself, shaking off the befuddlement she was feeling when Usatei asked her what the cars were. This sounded like her race didn't have transportation vehicles like Yurin's race did, or if they did, they were heavily restricted. Deciding to educate her a bit, the well-rounded, fiery fighter cleared her throat and spoke up. "Those are cars, and we have two types of them. The older models that are on wheels, and the flying variants you're seeing now. Capsule Corporation, the building I mentioned was in this City, is home to the world's best scientists, the Briefs. They invented marvels of modern technology such as the Capsules, Dyno Caps or Hoi Poi Capsules depending on who you talk to, as well as both kinds of cars. Capsule Corp. is a commercial product producer, they specialize in creating bits of technology that's meant for everyone to buy and enjoy" the green-clad Martial Artists said Usatei. She saw Usatei fly down to look at the building that caught her eye, and Yurin quietly followed after her. Noticing her looking through one of the glass windows of the building, the green-haired woman looked through the window herself, and saw some kind of mannequin that was clad in Martial Arts attire. It didn't appear to be the Satan brand, just something of a more generic set of equipment you'd usually see from the less popular dojos out there. These places would have a couple maps here and there, since she could tell that it was a general store of some kind. "That is a mannequin, it's meant to help display clothes. We have a hard time figuring out if the clothes we make are proportioned right, if they'll fit, if there are any mistakes, things like that, so we create these mannequins to show off the clothes we make. This helps us not only see if we made any mistakes, it also shows how good the clothes in question look, therefore convincing some people to buy them. They're entire purpose is to act as a display for clothes, which is why they're shaped to be humanoid in their nature. This is one of the general stores I was talking about. This place looks like it's most abundant items for sale are Martial Arts-related, but every general store I know of will usually have a map or two up for sale for anyone that walks in. Let's go inside and see if they have one" Yurin said to Usatei, looking over her in her direction for a moment as she signaled for the Lunarian to follow her with a wave of her hand. After she did so, she opened the door to allow herself in, and held it open for Usatei. Once she entered after Yurin, the witch would close the door. WC: 1,113 TWC: 4,017 |

As she heard a brief explanation of the conflicts on Earth, Usatei was quite bewildered, not only did they have some conflict amongst themselves that much was obvious of course, their differences was something that the Lunarian leader had warned them about before leaving Earth for the moon, but the aliens coming in surprised her, she didn't believe there were any intelligent beings out there beyond the humans and Lunarians, but well someone has to learn about life eventually. She was quite excited to know that there was so much to learn about Earth now, it was nothing like their textbooks said. The conversation shifted from the history to training, well she got a generic answer even her drill sergeant would tell her and that was just to train and train until she got sick of it, ehh that wasn't something she had done much before. She already checked, using the magic spheres that were given to every single military Lunarian did not do much in improving her aim, it made it a tad easier but she was still only 50% accurate in that form instead of being 15% accurate which is a great difference but it wasn't enough, she would just have to train. Of course, this spar with Yurin that was agreed to happen would help her out to see where she would need to start with this, she didn't know much about training other than just strength training and aim training, shooting targets for hours and doing muscle building for hours was about all she could do, from what she expects there must be some sort of technique learned from this, and she was going to figure it out. Her old skills were getting rusty like this, she needed to test them out on someone once more, she hadn't fought anything to her fullest extent at this point. Yurin explained the cars and she was quite awed by these machines, not only did the Earthlings solve how to make them safe for civilians but they also made them cheap enough that an individual could have one. Drats, that means the economy of the Earthlings were much more progressive than the Lunarians, One point for Earthlings, but the rest was for the moon, right? Her hubris as a Lunarian prevented her from giving credit and appreciating the things Earthlings have done so far, she thought they really were just a slower species, having so many differences amongst themselves and yet they can still produce such goods! As they went inside of the store, Usatei's eyes had shined as she looked around, the stores were like home but with a different air and style. She really wanted to look around first but she had to find herself a map first. She thought to herself how this store might work, did customers have to find things themselves or did the staff find things for them? She thought about it before looking at Yurin. "Well, Let's go find a map, and then maybe I can buy some clothes here, these rags are kind of...Old." Yurin could tell that she hadn't changed in a while, her clothes were wrinkled and they were slightly dusty and dirty as well, it was a sight to be noticed, the fabric was not falling apart but she was quite dirty looking in terms of clothes, they needed to be washed! She looked like a student from a school, in all honesty, her suit looked more like a uniform and one might think she is in her teens, a teenager roaming the world with no care for their safety clearly shown by the dirt on their clothing. Already having some trouble looking at the aisles, Usatei gave up and tried to ask one of the staff around here for where the maps might be. Before Yurin could interject she had directions of where to go! "The lady I just talked to told me that the maps would be in the last aisle. Let's go there then! After that, I should get some clothes!" she had gone towards the aisle where the maps would be, looking across all of the items in the store, just this one store sold a selective number of things but with so much choice! Arriving at the aisle she had then looked at the maps there. Taking one and opening it, and then taking another and opening it. There were only slight differences, one had a lighter color pallet and a small variation on colors, while another looked more detailed and had a much larger key! This was a great find! It had the names of the cities, their altitudes and some basic information about everywhere in the world! "I'll take this one! It says it costs....3000 Zeni?" it was their currency! "T-That's kind of a high number...Will I have enough gold?" she took out her pouch of gold and started to count, thinking that gold and Zeni had a 1:1 cost ratio. "Um...Yurin how much is gold worth in this world? Is it worth less than this Zeni? I only have about 300 gold tokens and a singular ingot!" She didn't want to look like she was stealing something, so she quietly waited for what Yurin had to say about it, she just hoped that gold was worth more than Zeni, and if she had enough to actually buy this map, but she also had to save for food and clothes! Oh no! She thought to herself. Usually, a map would cost about 1 token in the normal stores...But what about in this world? Maybe things cost more because they are harder to make! This map is about as detailed as the ones given to the military commanders on the Moon! These thoughts rummaged through her mind and gave her a little bit of anxiety as she was thinking more and more negatively while waiting the short amount of time it would take Yurin to answer her question, her mind was running at a million thoughts per second now! As she was reassured on the cost and her mind was put to rest, she decided to move on with Yurin as she would stand by her left side before asking. "So, In terms of clothes, what do you recommend? What style makes me look like a normal Earthling? Does this store have clothes that normal people wear?" She thought Martial arts was a normal thing for people to participate in, what else was there on Earth to do anyway? Being this new to Earth made a path for her to learn so much about another culture! "Sorry for asking you so many questions and such Yurin, I must be a bother." she said, apologizing. Yurin looked Usatei up and down when she mentioned the clothes she was wearing, specifically mentioning that they were kind of old. Judging from the overall state of what she was wearing, she would have to agree with her about them being rags. She would have thought that Usatei would have brought more clothes with her on her trip to Earth aside from one single pair. She didn't know why she didn't bring other pains of clothes, but she decided not to comment on it, and instead stick to helping the Lunarian pick out some suitable clothes for her to wear. "Alright then, first we get the map, than we get you some clothes to wear. Clothes that don't look like they're about to dissolve into nothing" she said, pointing out how ratty and barely held together Usatei's clothes looked, before she turned to lead the Lunarian to the map section. Once they both got there, Yurin proceeded to browse through each of the maps that were up for sale, unfolding them and analyzing them with a keen eye so she could make sure that Usatei was walking away with the most informative of the maps that were up for grabs here. Eventually, Usatei found a map that seemed to fit all her needs, and Yurin took the time to look through the map she picked out. She cleared her throat as she unfolded the map, and scanned every inch of the map that Usatei chose until she was sure she had it memorized. She then folded it back up, and placed it back in Usatei's hands. Not quite satisfied yet, she looked at all the other maps to see if any other were as detailed as the one Usatei chose, and concluded that Usatei had chosen the best one. "Very good choice, Usatei! It is the one that will allow you to familiarize yourself with all of Earth's locations. Once you spend enough time on Earth, you won't even need the map anymore, it's just a matter of what kind of transportation you're going to make use of. Don't worry about money, I'll be buying the things for you today, since it'll make your shopping go by faster" she said to the Lunarian with a smirk on her face, placing her hands on her hips as she tilted her head to the side. She figured it was best to give Usatei as good of a first impression of Earthlings as possible, for the sake of diplomacy and all that. When the lady said it would cost 3,000 Zeni, Yurin blinked and pulled out Zeni bills that totaled up to 3,000 like the lady insisted, and slid the money into Usatei's hands. The Lunarian wanted to know how much money gold was worth, and that was a very good question. Yurin honestly didn't have much knowledge about exchange rates from gold to Zeni, but she was very confident in the fact that the precious metals Usatei had with her was going to be worth a lot of Zeni. "I know gold will be worth a lot of Zeni, I just don't know how much specifically. Exchange rates are always fluctuating, your numbers and estimates aren't perfectly accurate for long. Once we get you some new clothes and this map, we can head to the bank and get everything worked out. The sooner you have a means of making money, the better off you'll be here on Earth. It's nice to not having to worry about things like when you will obtain your next meal" she said, an easygoing grin on her face all the while. When Usatei asked her what kind of clothes would be best for her, Yurin pondered for a moment. Depending on where she was, she was going to need the appropriate clothes, and figured the common shirts and pants, as well as skirts, that this general store was selling would be things worth buying. Unless one was in a vastly different region of Earth, most people typically had the same kind of fashion. So, she dragged Usatei over to the clothes section, and started pulling out clothes for her to try on. Usatei seemed thin enough she would be able to fit in them. When Usatei actually apologized for asking so many question, Yurin waved her hand in a dismissive manner to let her know that she didn't mind all the questions. "If you're going to be in the more modern places, than simple shirts, pants, and skirts are what you should focus on getting. As for you asking so many questions, don't worry about it. I offered to help you, and it's clear you don't know a lot about Earth, so I figured I would help you out to make things easier for you" she sad to the Lunarian with that easygoing grin still on her face. She sighed in relief when hearing that gold was worth a lot on Earth, it may not be specific but judging by how she could casually pull out a 3,000 Zeni bill and hand it to the cashier like it was nothing, meant that a lot was something like 100,000 for one ingot or something similar to that, on the moon it was about the same, the most common type of currency were tiny golden nuggets, one ingot was essentially worth 150 nuggets, maybe this world worked the same way just with this zeni thing, it was clearly efficient and effective. Yurin talked more about exchange rates and fluctuations of prices and such, she sort of grasped the concept with her mind and it really did show how complex life was here, there must be some person out there keeping track of all of this, and making sure no one is misguided on price, what a harsh world. They really were efficient in doing things like this, the only reason Lunarians have their system working was that populations were small per city and most cities don't buy from each other, a closed economic system with a net gain of zero. She also did say that after this they would visit a bank to cash her money in. That sounded like a good idea, maybe then she wouldn't have a panic attack every time she bought something! Though this thought did come up, since she was new to the currency she wouldn't know much of equivalent prices, someone might try and scam her for her money by making her think something is more valuable to her when in reality there was nothing worthwhile to buy in the first place, she needed to get used to the currency system quick! This society of the Earthlings seems entirely run on its economy, if she fell short she might not be able to make it back! Now was time for the clothes, she said a T-shirt and pants would do just fine, even if that sounded nice when she got a pair of t-shirts and pants, she wasn't satisfied, she wanted more than just this. So she went ahead and took an extra pair of jeans, 2 more shirts, a skirt and a full body suit. The suit was mostly black with blue patches, what went with it were black boots and a military utility belt. Mmhm, this will do. " Hey Yurin come here and see how they look like!" She looked at the sizes and decided to try them on, she figured that she wasn't a small or extra large by this method of just trying on the clothes, what fit her perfectly was the suit since it would stretch and fit her no matter her size, she'll show that to Yurin last, first, she showed her the main outfits, just an average look with a T-Shirt and jeans, the next set was the same just with a different shirt, the last set fit her the most really, it was a medium length skirt and a button up blue polo shirt tucked in. Usatei sighed in relief as Yurin reassured her that she was not bothering her in the least, it seemed that it was a noble duty to show those who were new to the planet the ropes before they get on their own feet and live here. There was so much for her to learn, she was lucky to have been found by Yurin. She might be able to get the basics of this world just by their small adventure together. Usatei was standing in line after she said that, with the clothes on her hand "Thanks so much Yurin!" She had then surprised the lady at the counter by pulling out a couple gold tokens, the same number as the number of clothes she had. "Is this good enough?" She received a look from the woman who then said "Listen, honey, we accept money here not arcade tokens. Take these back and please pull out some cash." Usatei was rather confused and she had then looked at Yurin, then realizing...She should stand up for herself, this time she knew about her own money. (1 token is about the weight of 1 Dollar Coin) "No miss, these are real gold tokens! They're 24 Karat!" she said to her, of course, the cashier not wanting to stir an argument decided to call an expert to inspect the coin, and after a brief 10 minutes of inspection. The cashier's face became pale. "I...Am so sorry miss! The price of your clothes will be 15,000 Zeni!" The woman took 1 coin and then gave her 36,000 Zeni in return. Usatei smiled and then took her clothes and walked out as everyone gave a since she was just about to pay something that cost 15,000 Zeni with 10 gold coins! (The worth of 1 gold coin is about 41,000 Zeni) " Well then, let's go Yurin!" WC: 830 TWC: 5327 |

Yurin saw Usatei pick out a bunch of other clothes, and watched her do this with a raised eyebrow. If she wanted more outfits, than that was just fine with her. It wasn't like she was low on cash or anything, she had plenty of money to spend due to the assassination missions she had done while she was a member of the Crane School. Who knew being an assassin would earn you a lot of money? That, combined with the magic she used for the sake of profit, such as when she used it for healing, earned her an even heftier profit. "Those also look quite good, Usatei. Good job on picking out some good, but simple outfits. I don't know what you're going to do with the bodysuit, but if you want it so badly, I'm not going to stop you from grabbing it" she said, throwing the Lunarian an amused smirk as she looked through the clothes Usatei picked out once more, scrutinizing them much more closely just to make sure the girl didn't pick out anything that could be off. While it was rare, the possibility of grabbing something that wasn't made right was a risk that could always happen. When Usatei thanked her for the clothes she picked out, Yurin waved her hand in a dismissive manner to let her know that it wasn't any trouble. She was always happy to give people a good first impression of her people, it was something that was very necessary. While she could be grudge-prone and vengeful, she had no reason to be mean with the Lunarian. She was always very logical about her anger, and unless Usatei gave her a reason to be mad at her, she was going to keep on being nice to and continuously build upon that first impression. "Hey, it was my pleasure to help you out. You only get one first impression, and they are very important. I would consider it terrible if your first impression of my people was something darker and more malevolent, or even just rude and jerkish. I'm hoping that by the time we part ways, you'll see the best of Earthlings so that seeing the worst won't sour your opinion on us" she said with a grin on her face as she placed her hands on her hips and then cocked her hips to the side, showcasing how glad she was. She watched the little exchange between Usatei and the cashier go down, frowning to herself when the lady acted a bit rude and called Usatei's golden coins arcade tokens. While she knew that most Earthlings operated with paper tokens, the idea that this cashier couldn't even see that the coins she was pulling out were legit gold coins and not some worthless arcade tokens was absurd to her. All it would take was even a cursory glance to know that the coins weren't arcade tokens. After all, they were larger than all the arcade tokens here on Earth, and didn't bear any symbols to show it was from an arcade. The fact that this woman couldn't see that was a bit baffling to Yurin, but she decided against commenting on it. She crossed her arms as she watched the inspector carefully examine the gold coins that was offered to the cashier, she couldn't resist chuckling quietly to herself when the cashier's face paled. The amount of money she pulled out to reimburse Usatei was a bit surprising, but not overly so as she knew that precious metals like gold was rather valuable. She could tell Usatei was going to make certain stores very happy in the near future. "Before we leave Usatei, you should get changed in the bathroom over there. That way you'll blend in a lot easier when it's time for us to head back out. Trust me when I say that you'll want to be just another face in the crowd, as opposed to standing out like a sore thumb. It's not always a good thing to be the center of attention" she said to the moon rabbit, pointing over her shoulder to a unisex bathroom to let Usatei know where she could get changed into her hew clothes in private. Usatei walked free and she had a small amount of cash with her now too! So she could probably catch a meal before going to the bank, though that'd break the sequence of events. She did see some customers use a plastic card to swipe and pay for their items, maybe she could do that too, it would be like the credit system on the moon, maybe Earth has these systems too! It wouldn't be a surprise if they did, they were already so advanced in her eyes, that they may be matched with the moon! Nah, that can't be, Lunarians are the smartest after all! Though as they were about to leave, she was told to change into an outfit to blend with the people more now before they left. Since people didn't wear the full body suit she wasn't going to wear that, instead, she was going to wear the jeans and shirt. She was guided into the unisex bathroom to change, it was odd. They had 3 types of bathrooms? Why is that? Was it for mothers to change their children's diapers without bothering the others? It could be, she'll have to ask that question to Yurin later. She got out a few minutes later looking pretty casual and actually quite pretty to most, her chest was rather plump but not too plump, she had a thin waist and her hips were pretty large. This accompanied her height which was around 5'8 without her ears, her ears would easily make her 6'2. She felt rather proud of herself, she got clothes on her own and now she was blending in with the Earthlings just by looking like them! She has done more progress with Earthlings than most Lunarians had in their lives, she wasn't bitterly hating them she wanted to embrace their differences in its full glory! "Well we should head towards the bank now." Usatei had exited the store at the same time Yurin would, and they would fly out and fly towards the location of the bank once more. The excitement she felt in that store completely negated the fact that she was hungry, but after a few minutes into the air. Her stomach grumbled once more, even past the sound of the wind as they were flying at pretty high speeds! "Oh geez not again, Man I'm getting so famished now! Are you getting hungry too Yurin?" Though now that they were in the air, she could at the very least squeeze out a few more questions in her mind. "What do Earthlings usually do when they're not working? Do they tend to their fields? Or are they like Royalty where they don't have to do anything after working? Back where I came from, only those who were extremely rich got to be bored and do nothing, most of us had to train or go to school after we worked.
