1v1 - The act of two people pre-arranging to face off against each other. This doesn't usually happen. 777 - Signifies that a certain drug is going up in value. e.g. "777 coke." Not in widespread use. 888 - Used in chat when a drug crashes or as a call to arms. Not in widespread use. 911 - This is what you use to tell your alliance chat that an enemy gang has flown in. e.g. "911 eminem69" BOR - Beginning of round. Usually considered the timeframe between when the round starts and when most people max casinos and barracks. See Max below. Chaser - Gang(s) that attempt to bring any runners down. Drain - The act of drugging one or a few of an enemy gang's chars and hitting them. The chars you aren't hitting will send reinforcements, thus why it's called draining. May also be called "drug and drain." Drug - Short for "Drug Love" DL - See Drug EOR - End of round. Can be considered the last 6 hours and overtime, when plus is in effect, or even the last day as a whole. Intim - Short for "Intimidate" GW - Shorthand for Gang-Wars gw - Refers to the guerilla warfare stat Hit - The act of attacking a gang. HOF - Hall of Fame. The link to it can be found on the front page. Ladder - (1) Having characters that are at different values, in such a way that you can loot a target down far below the rest of their accounts. (2) What happens when people under the runners don't trim. It creates a "ladder" that reaches up to the runners. Level - Donating on your characters so that they are all the same value. See Trim. Loot - 1. Money/drugs 2. The act of hitting someone whose gang is dead and taking their money/drugs. Love - Short for "Drug Love." Low - Used to describe an account's value relative either to the rest of the gang, or to the rest of the game. Sometimes used as a noun. e.g. "I flew my lows to east and looted them up." Max - Getting 500 casinos and 250 barracks in one country. Merc - To buy mercenaries NAP - Non Aggression Pact. May also be called "No Attack Policy." In plain English, it's either when two alliances agree to work together, or when they just agree to leave each other alone. NAPs are generally formed to bring down runners, or team up against a heavily dominating alliance. n00b - Newbie. Someone who is new to the game. Overtime - After the clock runs down at eor, the game goes into Overtime. This can last anywhere from 5-60 minutes. Also abbreviated as "OT" Own - Attacking a gang and winning against them. Plus - 7 AM and 7 PM in GW time. During plus, outs are reset at 7:00, the fly timer is reduced to 50 seconds, you can fly with mercs, and most importantly of all, you can range 2 chars above and below regardless of value. Preload - Fake-attacking chars in a gang you're about to hit, so that they show up under Recent Targets in the War Room. This lets draining go much, much faster. Racks - Short for barracks. Also called rax. Rape - The act of attacking someone owning them soundly. rdy - "Ready." Usually only used when planning a raid in the alliance chat. When you say you're rdy, it means you're ready to fly and hit. Run - The act of looting and trading drugs to get out of range, in an attempt to win the round. Spit - The casino and barracks payouts that happen at :10, :30, and :50. Suicide - Attacking another gang with the intent of losing all of your thugs. str - Refers to the Strength stat. Top - The act of opening the top25 in a country by flying less than 25 characters to a country and hitting what's in range. NOTE: Only works if you would otherwise be out of range of the person you're hitting. Trim - The act of donating on your characters so that they are all the same value. See Level. Turf - Short for "Turf War" Turfie - Monthly traditional "awards" topic made at the end of every round. Started at ONTI some time in 2003. TW - See Turf Vet - Veteran. An older player who knows what they're doing V00b - An older player who still plays like a n00b, or whose skills haven't kept up with the rest of the game. |
