Virginia Beach Airport
While most people fly in at Norfolk International and then drive in, there is a sometimes-used airport in Pungo. A lot of old military planes are stored here due to the local air shows. Due to this and the local military base, security is fairly skilled.

False Cape Park
A local state park, it adjoins the boarder between Virginia and North Carolina. It is located slightly north of the Mackay Island National Wildlife Refuge. At the south end of the park there is an old 1880s monument marking the previous boarder between Virginia and North Carolina. Park access is limited to hiking, bicycling, or boating though they also offer a tram and beach crawler service called "Terra Gator".

Pungo
A very rural community, as if the yearly Strawberry Festival wasn't hint enough. The strange name comes from an old local native american tribe called Machipungo. On top of the Strawberry Festival held every spring, the area is also known for its Military Aviation Museum. In general, if you're looking for big houses with mile of sprawling land between them, this is the place to go.

Dam Neck
A navy lodge in Virginia Beach. Dam Neck is very close to the eastern oceanfront, which makes it a common place to find troops of military men and women doing laps up and down the beach. One of the more quiet beach areas, it's commonly used for various military training. Some sparse hotels and homes in the area manage to not be terribly expensive, if you don't mind the distant cries of drill instructors along the coast.

Back Bay Refuge
More officially called the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Established in 1938, its manages by the US Fish and Wildlife service. A tram runs through here, providing the only way into False Cape Park aside from hiking, biking, or boating. Back Bay itself is generally scenic but otherwise unremarkable unless one has a serious interest in duck and fish species.

Sigma
A small community near Sandbridge, notably generally only for the local Lotus Garden Park. There is also the Tabernacle Methodist church, complete with the repainted aesthetic of old southern architecture. Generally the area is sleepy and quiet, with little to do or see.

Sandbridge
One of the southernmost beaches in VB, Sandbridge tends to vary wildly between having heavy tourist traffic or absolutely none at all since it's fairly out of the way. Lots of locals, especially teens, wanting to screw around on the beach during tourist season will make the drive down here. There is only one road leading in and out of Sandbridge, and it's a hotspot for cops shooting radar.

Firebrew
Advertised as a "relaxed american tavern", Firebrew has gorgeous self-serve wine stations and a sprawling patio. Serving as the sort of place tourists love but often don't know about, traffic through there can go from packed to nearly desolate. Locals love it, and most of the regulars all pitch in to play security to anyone who get a little too rowdy. With decent bar food and a long beer selection, it has a pretty reliable group of regulars. Especially on game nights.
