IPW is a competitive e-fed. Your performance as a role player directly translates to your character's performance in the promotion.

This thread is being left open for questions and requests to add permanent rulings. Don't suggest rule changes here, simply create a new thread.

Match Judging
Matches are judged using a 5-point scale, with each point represented by category; Style, covering grammar, punctuation, and formatting; Heat, dealing with relevancy, furthering and developing a feud, and getting characters over; Development, which rewards strong character portrayals; Entertainment, which rewards keeping the reader's interest; and a catch-all Overall category for those RPs that are good but can't be classified easily.

Word Count
Every match will have a word count limit of 2,000 words (though the staff reserves the right to change this).

A word count that exceeds the limit will be penalized by the same percentage by which the RP went over. For example, if the word limit is 2,000 words and the RP is 2,200 words, the final score will be reduced by 10%.

Results
The highest scoring participant in a given match will be given the strongest booking, and lower scorers will be booked accordingly.

The strongest booking may not, on occasion, result in a victory in the match. For instance, if the outmanned team in a handicap match scores the highest but the staff determines that it was not well enough to overcome the odds, they may lose the match. Every effort will be made, however, to portray that character as the strongest individual in the match.

To determine the results of tag team matches, the sum of all of each team's scored divided by the number of booked participants will be used to determine a winner. This means that a no-showing member will effectively cut the team's score in half, so participation by all booked members is critical.
