"But you know my weaknesses! I'm not going out there! I could be killed!" Fiona exclaimed. She wasn't being difficult she was genuinely frightened.

Angelica almost let her have her way. Almost.

"We could all get killed, Fiona."

"Please don't make me go out there until it's safe." Fiona said almost pleading now.

Angelica glanced back down at the fight below and back over to her girlfriend. "Why are you doing this? One would think you would want to finish that fire breather off...."

Fiona didn't reply straight away. She was thinking about how far back her and the 'fire breather' went. She sighed.
"You know how I feel about her. But, I can't help feeling nervous with such a raging fire near by." Fiona muttered.

"Stand back. You don't have to fight standing before her."

Fiona sighed again.
"I guess." She mumbled looking at the window nervously.

Fiona looked at Angelica and gave a weak smile. Then pulled her into a hug.
"Thank you." She whispered and then pulled away and walked out ahead of Angelica.

They jumped out of the ship and land on their feet on the pavemet, still holding hands without really thinking about it. Ahead, Dragon Bane stood, glaring at the V-Squad. "You couldn't give me a break before attacking?"

Angelica and Fiona stood in the back, behind the other members. Yoko glanced back for only a second to see them holding hands. Angelica quickly let go, but hadn't seen that anyone else saw.

"Apparently not. Some of us haven't had breakfast yet." Fiona said and shot a fake glare at Angelica just to show her false anger.

Yoko glanced away from Angelica and Fiona. Did she see what she thought she saw? Did they know she saw it?

"You never give up," Dragon Bane muttered. "Let's get this over with."

"We'll give up the moment you do." Fiona muttered to herself waiting for someone to attack.

"Don't treat me like I'm the nuisance!" she snapped.

"The media seems to think you are," Angelica grinned. She pointed to a news crew across the street, almost hiding behind their van.

"The media makes trouble to get money," Dragon Bane said, rolling her eyes. "You should know. You love to keep it going." She stepped forward, not afraid of them. "Besides, my job is to protect the women, men, and children of the city. Your jobs are to be selfish fools and make life harder for everyone."

"Enough of this!" Angelica snapped. "This ends today."

"If you guys are going to chat all day can I go back home and freshen up? I want the media to catch my good side. Not my just woke up side." Fiona said.

The members were already charging forward.

Fiona frowned and sighed and began walking forward at a slow pace. She seemed deep in thought.

The Dragon Bane dodged any bullet, any missile, anything the V-Squad used against her.

Fiona stood still and looked to the ground. She smiled when she saw the first drop of water hit the ground.

Dragon Bane felt it, too. She stepped forward and sent a large flame toward the team. "You'll be sizzled before you try that trick on me, Fiona."
