Fiona never spoke when the other two entered the ship. She just sat and stared out of a window watching the pouring rain. A symbol for tears she always thought. She hoped that soon she would wake from this nightmare...

Angelica sat across from Fiona, staring at the floor blankly. Yoko went to the controls and sat, knowing Angelica wouldn't and Fiona didn't want to and didn't know how.

Fiona glanced across at Angelica when she'd sat. It seemed to be a hard blow. even to the only person she thought could handle it the easiest. She sighed and looked back out of the window.

The sight of Sam falling to his side, chest on fire like a candle, eyes flickering shut. Lauren being slammed 10 feet away into a brick wall, sliding to the floor dead.
The images replayed in her mind. She couldn't get it out.

Fiona felt like she did the day she lost her family. Numb.

Eventually they landed on the H.I.V.E. roof again.

Fiona was the first to leave the ship. Ignoring everything and everyone she made her way to her room and laid on the bed.

As Fiona lay on her bed she began thinking. She'd lost two of her team-mates, her friends, and it was Jane's fault. Fiona figured that was Jane's plan. Kill off her friends to get Fiona angry so she would lose control and perhaps find a way to beat her. But she was Wrong. Fiona thought. Jane wasn't going to get her angry quite the opposite. She'd suffer Fiona ignoring it.

Jane raced back to her apartment, protective hero clothing in a bag around her arm. She through it down and fell on the couch. Damn her, she thought. Damn the hypocrite.

Killing could be justified sometime. Sam and Lauren would've been broken out of prison by the V-Squad, so that was impossible. They were dead. The V-Squad had two less members, two people who wouldn't havea chance to ever kill again.

But how did it happen? She wasn't aiming to kill, was she? She was, however, angry. She couldn't get a break. She was always working. Getting up really early to get Alex dressed, do what needed to be done in the apartment, get him to school, rush to work where she worked hard and there was little pay, walk back to Alex' school with throbbing feet, and back home. All on foot. Then she'd rush back out and be Dragon Bane. Once she got home she went to fix dinner, help Alex with homework, do chores, go to the store. By the time her head hit the pillow it was the wee hours in the morning. She never got time to herself and always had to sleep late and get up early. This was her life.

Meanwhile, Fiona and the V-Squad lived in luxery, never needing anything at all. They commited crimes when they wanted to, and killing was a hobby.

Jane had gotten sick of it all. She was so angry at the scene. She had trouble controling her powers. Maybe anger made all of her senses and energy better. Maybe that was why Lauren and Sam were now dead.

Fiona frowned and sat up. She couldn't take laying there. it was making it harder to cope with doing nothing. She stood up quickly and out of her room. Maybe a walk would help the pain a little. Doing something would help her stop dwelling on it. She hoped.

Down the hall around a rounded corner was some servants and their carts. They had met halfway down the hall, bumping into one another and apologizing politely.

"Did you hear Lauren died?" one of them said in a low voice.

"What?! Rumors!"

The other shook her head. "No, the team hired someone to retreive their bodies. It is them alright."

"Them?"

"Oh! I didn't mention Sam passed too, did I?"

The other seemed annoyed. "No, no you didn't. Who did it?"

"The Dragon Bane. There were witnesses, too."

Fiona paused when she heard the servants talking. She wanted to hear more without them getting suspicious so walked a little way away from them and took out a power compact and lipstick. She applied the lipstick in the mirror as she watched the servants behind her through it. Eager to hear more.

The two women went quiet for a moment, sad and amazed that a supposed hero would kill.

"Lauren helped start the V-Squad, you know," the older of the two muttered quietly.

"WHAT?!" the other gasped.

"It's true. Angelica took all the credit. Lauren didn't really care."

"So, they knew each other before?"

"Knew each other?" she laughed. "They were best childhood friends! Even when Angelica lived in Russia and didn't speak a word of English. Lauren's father was an official of some country, so she traveled a lot and knew many languages."

"Wouldn't know the dumb blond was smart," the other muttered.

They laughed.

"How did you know this?" the younger asked.

"Well, how do you think? I worked for the Volkovs!"

Fiona rose a eyebrow at this information and clicked her compact closed. She turned to the servants and walked towards them.
"Don't let Angelica catch you two talking. She's probably already in a bad mood." Fiona said. She wasn't telling them off or anything. She was simply warning them.

They went pale, not knowing a team member had been so nearby.

Fiona rolled her eyes.
"Relax, I won't say a word. Not my problem. Just hope Angelica won't notice. If she does I wasn't here." Fiona said and walked away. She wondered if all that they'd said had been true.

Fiona ignored them as she continued walking around base. She didn't have any place to go in particular but suddenly realised she was subconsciously going towards Lauren's room.
